In this episode we dive into Disney's newest attraction at Disney's Animal Kingdom — the 4D show Zootopia: Better Zoogether!, which debuted on November 7, 2025 inside the Tree of Life Theater. Zootopia: Better Zoogether! is a 4D theater experience replacing the long-running It's Tough to Be a Bug! inside the Tree of Life Theater at Animal Kingdom. The show was designed to celebrate Zoogether Day, a holiday in the world of Zootopia that highlights unity and diversity across the city's biomes.
We're spending a full day exploring Universal's Epic Universe to see if it really does live up to the hype. From the moment you step into Celestial Park, it's clear this isn't just another theme park — it's a massive leap forward in immersive storytelling, ride technology, and atmosphere. We break down each world we explored, starting with Celestial Park and its stunning design, headlined by the thrilling Stardust Racers coaster. From there, we jump through portals into SUPER NINTENDO WORLD, where the colors pop, the energy is nonstop, and attractions like Mario Kart: Bowser's Challenge and Mine-Cart Madness bring video games to life in a way we've never seen before.Next, we head into The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Ministry of Magic, where the details are next-level. We talk about our days experience with the flagship attraction Harry Potter and the Battle at the Ministry, plus Le Cirque Arcanus, a Cirque-style live show featuring magical creatures, aerial performances, and a story pulled straight from the Wizarding World. We also explore How to Train Your Dragon – Isle of Berk, covering rides like Hiccup's Wing Gliders and the live stage show The Untrainable Dragon, before ending in the darker, moodier Dark Universe, home to classic Universal Monsters and standout attractions like Monsters Unchained: The Frankenstein Experiment. We share what surprised us most, what worked, what didn't, and where Epic Universe fits into the future of Universal Orlando. If you're planning a visit — or just want to know if it's worth the hype — this episode has you covered.
Construction at Animal Kingdom's upcoming Encanto attraction is finally starting to pop above the fence line, and Jim and Len do what they do best - stare at aerial photos until they start seeing ride-height changes and possible “big thing” anchors. “You gotta always believe. When you get knocked down off your feet, there's just something that lights your fire and makes you keep getting up and fighting, just to keep going because you have a purpose.” Malcolm Butler 2x Super Bowl Champion In this special episode of The Pivot Podcast live from Disney's Animal Kingdom, Malcolm Butler joins Ryan, Channing, and Fred for a deeply personal and behind-the-scenes story leading up to one of the most iconic moments in NFL history. Butler relives his “magical” Super Bowl XLIX interception vs Russell Wilson—the split-second decision that changed his life, secured the Patriots' championship, and delivered him sports' famous words- "Im going to Disney World." Malcolm opens up about what it was like to go from undrafted rookie to national hero overnight, from working at Popeyes to signing with the Patriots to playing for Bill Belichick, He shares the mindset he developed on and off the field and explains how one can never truly being prepared for a singular moment but can always being ready to compete. He reveals life lessons from Tom Brady, Julian Edelman, Gronk and Danny Amendola that helped shape the man he is today. Although his storied NFL career started magical and yielded him two Super Bowl rings, Malcolm shares the hard times and reveals the emotions behind sitting out vs the Patriots loss to Eagles in SBLII and how the pain truly affected him. From the locker room interactions to the surreal whirlwind of fame, Malcolm shares powerful insights on trust, readiness, and believing in yourself when the world doubts you. Now in his post NFL life, Malcolm is passing on his experiences sharing that coaching high school football and being a father prove to be the most rewarding aspect of his life. Everyone knows that the minute Halloween is over the Disney Parks ready themselves for the Christmas holidays. Disney's Animal Kingdom, Disney's Hollywood Studios and Magic Kingdom seem to up and ready overnight, and in the first week or so of November we were able to see the joy of these parks during this time of year. Epcot, on the other hand, waits patiently until its International Food & Wine Festival is over. Then it readies everything for the holidays right before Thanksgiving. Last week I had the chance to spend not one day, not two days, but three days at Epcot, and was re-immersed in how truly fun this approach to holidays around the world really is. This podcast serves to relive many of those experiences, and to consider some previous podcasts where we highlighted this park during the midst of Covid. Then we turn the podcast over to the music of the park, where we have provided musical enjoyment while you make last minute seasonal preparations. So join us for the 2025 Epcot International Festival of the Holidays. Note that music only begins at 37:45. ___________________________________________________________________ Disney Insights YouTube Page--Check it out and subscribe. We're back and diving headfirst into the whirlwind that was our Thanksgiving weekend—because what better way to jump back in than with a little chaos, a little sparkle, and a whole lot of Disney? We kick things off at Disney Springs with a quick update on the brand-new Disney Drop Shop, a permanent addition to the Marketplace Co-Op that's basically a treasure chest for collectors. We break down what we ordered—from the Filet Sandwich and Wagyu Burger to the towering Parmesan Truffle Fries—and talk about why this meal left us scratching our heads more than licking our fingers. Then it's time to trade “meh” for “merry” as we step into the glitz and glow of Disney's Jollywood Nights at Hollywood Studios. We cover everything from early entry strategy to the incredible entertainment lineup, including Disney Holidays in Hollywood, the Nightmare Before Christmas Sing-Along, and the stunning Glisten! ice-skating show. You will hear how the Blessing Fields first appeared through years of Reiki and shamanic practice and how the Divine Animal Kingdom invites every person to take their place in the circle of life as the human being in that circle. This perspective heals the belief in separation and supports your ability to listen to your path through eagle vision, mouse vision, and your own inner sight. In this session you will learn: What blessing energy is and why it exists on the earth How the Divine Animal Kingdom participates in the Blessing Exchange Why belonging is an essential part of your spiritual and human nature How blessing energy supports clarity during times of change How this prepares your perception for the Eagle Mouse Vision series Colleen shares stories of working with the spirit of the earth, the animals, and the Tree of Life, including teachings that shaped the Animal Reiki courses and the Blessing Exchange practices. You will hear how Reiki can support solutions, insight, compassion, and the activation of higher frequencies in daily life and in the world. The guided Blessing Exchange Journey is offered in the next recording, where you will be invited to meet the Divine Animal Kingdom, receive blessings, and connect with the energy that supports your path forward. There is a place in the spiritual realms where the Blessing Fields, the Divine Animal Kingdom, and the Tree of Life meet. This guided Reiki journey brings you into that place. You are invited to experience the Blessing Exchange for yourself, receive blessings from the natural world, and return to your rightful place in the circle of life as the human being in that circle. This is the companion journey to the Blessing Exchange discussion. In this recording, you are guided step by step into the blessing fields through Reiki energy, the Bridge of Light, and the support of your spiritual guides. Here you meet the Divine Animal Kingdom, who welcome you, exchange blessings with you, and help you reconnect with your own human nature, instincts, intuition, and inner knowing. This journey prepares your energy and perception for the Eagle Mouse Vision series. The Blessing Exchange strengthens your ability to see your life from expanded awareness, grounded detail, and your own inner perspective. It also heals the belief in separation from the earth and restores your sense of belonging with the natural world. In this journey you will experience: Reiki filling your breath, body, and energy field Crossing the Bridge of Light into the third heaven Releasing the blocks and burdens that cover your capacity to receive blessings Entering the blessing fields of the earth Meeting the Divine Animal Kingdom in sacred space Receiving their invitation to step into the circle of life Exchanging blessings with the animals, the earth, and the Tree of Life Returning with clarity, strength, and a deeper sense of belonging This Blessing Exchange Journey is a foundational preparation for the upcoming Eagle Mouse Vision journeys, where you will explore your path through eagle vision, mouse vision, and your own inner sight. "Guests have become more sophisticated and our product needs to follow suit." Disney Theme Parks have always been at the top when it comes to large scale, interactive entertainment attractions. Doris Hardoon is a legendary Imagineer, and we don't use that term lightly. Her creative vision has graced every Disney Castle Park on the planet, from EPCOT to Disneyland and Disneyland Paris to Disney's Animal Kingdom, Disney Cruise Line, and beyond. Doris took a break from Disney to run her own design firm working on museums and other interactive design, but she returned to Disney as the executive creative director and producer for Shanghai Disney Resort. Her career at Disney theme parks and entertainment design has spanned over four decades. She joins us on REPOD to share her design philosophy and some life advice for aspiring designers. She's had a very interesting path in her career, starting with working as a model and becoming a well-known folk singer in Hong Kong in the 1960s and 70s. I especially enjoyed hearing her talk about working on the global theme parks and how “It's important to culturally understand who you're creating the happiest places on earth for.” She talks about how to design spaces that appeal to the local audience while still maintaining an authentic Disney experience. She's now turned much of her time to mentoring the next generation of entertainment designers. In this episode, Doris shares some reflections and advice on how to build the right team to support your creative vision. She also talks about how to manage corporate politics, especially when it comes to large creative companies like Walt Disney Imagineering. Doris Hardoon is a true legend, and I hope you find this episode as inspiring as I did. We're kicking things off at the IAAPA Expo 2025, the global meeting place for theme-park creators, innovators, and anyone who thinks fun should come with seat belts and safety restraints. With more than 1,100 exhibitors and endless new ride concepts, animatronics, VR demos, and snack samples, the Expo is always an overload of creativity — in the best possible way. We'll break down what caught our eye, the coolest booths we explored, and of course… the food we sampled along the way. From there, we head into Hollywood Studios for dinner at Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater, one of the most uniquely themed restaurants in all of Walt Disney World. We'll share what we ate, some fun Imagineering trivia (including those famous license plate Easter eggs), and why burgers, onion rings, and milkshakes just taste better when you're sitting in a glowing retro convertible under a fake night sky. Finally, we wrap up at The BOATHOUSE, where we enjoyed classic lobster rolls with perfect waterfront views and a side of Disney Springs energy. We'll talk ambience, fun facts, and why this spot continues to be one of the most reliable dining experiences at Disney.

We're cracking open another round of our Listener Q&A series, where your questions take center stage and we get to time-travel, daydream, debate, and laugh our way through the wild world of Walt Disney World. From Back to the Future-style time hopping to EPCOT engineering, this one covers a little bit of everything—so buckle up, because the flux capacitor is… well, metaphorically humming. We kick things off with a big one: If you had one day to time travel to any Disney park in history, where and when are you landing? Parade nostalgia, extinct attractions, retro vibes—nothing is off the table. Then, we get delightfully nerdy as we design a brand-new World Showcase Lagoon attraction and pitch a fresh Skyliner route that Imagineering will probably ignore but shouldn't. Over on Twitter, we tackle what kind of perk could actually convince us to buy direct DVC—and yes, we get honest. Instagram brought the planning heat: Pop Century vs. French Quarter for a June family trip, Skyliner convenience vs. resort charm, and how to tackle Fourth of July fireworks across a three-night celebration.Plus, we wrap up with a festive bite of holiday goodness as we spotlight Columbia Harbour House's Gingerbread Cake—because every Q&A needs a little sugar. Tune in, laugh along, and keep those questions coming!
