The secretive, isolated Druse are part of the fabric. Most Syrians are not even voting. Next is a new parlement and no changes. Some voices are not easily ignored. The strategic Golan Heights. This is how Hamas took over Palestine. In war, truth is buried under layers of deception. But it's the women and children who suffer most. Chanting to kill them all is beneath us. He sees everything, and this is not OK. Patronage means people stay loyal. Starvation works when you attack supply chains. Currency systems are choke points. The global order manufactures dependencies. We are all prompts. Obedience is instinctive. Who controls your country? It's not the politicians, but a soft invisible leash. Contract, municipal suppliers, grid officials and administrators. Scale it out and consider your cities. Utilities are leverage. Self respect is easy to lose. Until we learn to live without a leash, we will never be able to control it.

After all, there's no better place to reflect on the heroism of WWII veterans than a five-star suite in Europe, right? Some suggest Pelosi's fall might be a divine intervention. The Almighty might be sending a clear message: retire already. At her age, gravity isn't just a law; it's an opponent—and one that seems to be gaining the upper hand. Pelosi's accident comes as the nation increasingly debates the issue of leadership longevity. Alongside Mitch McConnell's frequent freezes and Joe Biden's conversational detours into oblivion, Pelosi's Luxembourg stumble only underscores the need for term limits—or at least a vigorous game of shuffleboard in the congressional retirement home. Botox, as effective as it is on facial wrinkles, doesn't work on equilibrium or political stamina. As the news breaks, updates on her condition remain scant, likely because they aren't great. In classic media fashion, if it's bad for the Left, it's kept quiet. For Pelosi's critics, her fall is a moment of grim irony, as some might view her “trip” abroad as a final chapter to her political adventures. Politics, much like Pelosi's footing, is shaky these days. The nation is clamoring for new blood, fresher faces, and leaders who don't require an orthopedic specialist on speed dial. Perhaps it's time for Pelosi, McConnell, and the rest of the geriocracy to take a cue from history's battles and bow out gracefully before they're carried out involuntarily.    [SEGMENT 2-2] Democrats have fallen 2 - Van Jones Pelosi falling in Luxembourg is symbolic of the Democratic Party. They have fallen. Democrats resemble nothing of what they claim to stand for. And it's not just Conservatives saying this. For the first time in a long time, I'm watching Democrats argue openly about their party. It's the first step in a 12-step program, where some are slightly waking up. I've documented some of their mea culpas, but I also point out that while they see the error of their ways, it's only partially. Despite the wake-up call, most Leftist still hold Leftist tendencies or rationalizations. Take Van Jones for example. Jones sounded the alarm bell for Leftists, nevertheless he still missed the bigger picture. He blames Democrats for missing the digital revolution, but doesn't blame their messaging. Jones was one of a number of voices to participate in a panel discussion for The New York Times' Dealbook Summit this week, along with others like Kellyanne Conway and Kevin McCarthy. Jones, a former advisor to former President Barack Obama, argued that President-elect Donald Trump better understood the digital sphere and the current issues men in the country are facing than Democrats during the election. The entire political class is way off. First of all, digital is the new door knocking. You got to understand that. We were laughing our butts off at Donald Trump for suspending his door knocking campaign and letting Charlie Kirk and Elon [Musk] do a bunch of stuff online. We said, ‘these guys are idiots, these guys are stupid.' Then you start knocking on these doors. You know what people come to the door with? They're phone in their hand. They're in a 24 hour digital surround sound that has nothing to do with CNN, that has nothing to do with anything we do. “I don't what who he's talking about,” he said. Jones fretted that streamers and podcasters are bringing in views that cable news cannot come close to touching. “The mainstream has become fringe and the fringe has become mainstream,” he said. “There are platforms, there are people out there that are getting 14 million streams and we're on cable news getting one to two million.”   Jones hasn't learned that it's Democrats messaging that's the problem, not the distribution system. Remember how Obama revolutionized politics with his ground game? Much of it was built around social media, considered revolutionary at the time. Truth be told, he was going to beat McCain, even if the Obama campaign communicated by tin cans and smoke signals. Jones seems to forget that social media isn't new, and it was Obama who used it most effectively. However, Jones is right in that Leftists put way too much faith in their dying media industry. Alarm bells for the prestige media have been sounding for the better part of a decade. Decaying viewership, listenership, and so on. But Democrats dismissed the polls, because the polls reported what they didn't want to believe. But aside from Jones' warning, he said something even more profound when he declared, “I hate to agree with KellyAnne…” Why would you hate to agree with someone. Despite their political difference, if she makes a good point, simply say that. Jones revealed in that statement that he doesn't like that he's wrong. He was forced to admit that KellyAnne was right. In his defense, he's one of the few Leftists willing to do this. Talk about awkward. While grilling Mace, Stephanopoulos went full smug mode, somehow managing to imply that Trump was morally bankrupt while pretending his own Clinton-era skeletons didn't exist. About the Author Charles Haddon (C. H.) Spurgeon (1834-1892) was a British Baptist preacher. He started preaching at age 16 and quickly became famous. He is still known as the “Prince of Preachers” and frequently had more than 10,000 people present to hear him preach at the Metropolitan Tabernacle in London. His sermons were printed in newspapers, translated into many languages, and published in many books.

Muslims are more difficult to integrate than other immigrant groups. Or rephrased: they don't integrate to the same degree as other groups do. Even when taking into account country of origin, level of education and other factors, the difference still remains. Why is that? In today's episode I'm speaking with Ruud Koopmans, who is probably one of the most qualified of all to answer this question. He's a sociologist, a professor at Humboldt university of Berlin, who has focused his research on migration, integration and transnationalization, which led him to look into the role of religion as well. He's conducted several very large surveys in a number of European countries to compare attitudes and other factors of majorities and minorities. And he's repeatedly found the worrying result that a large proportion of the muslim population in Western countries have fundamentalist or islamist attitudes. I first wrote about his findings in 2015, and since then he's published a book on the subject: Het vervallen huis van de islam which was originally published in Dutch in 2019. It was translated into German and Danish the year after, and the year after that into Norwegian. Not into English or Swedish, so I read it in Danish with the title: Islams forfaldne hus (Forlaget Pressto 2020). It could maybe be translated as The decayed house of Islam. In it he traces the problems within the muslim communities in the West back to their countries of origin. As he writes: The causes of the Islamic crisis can be summarized in three key problems: The lack of separation between religion and state, the discrimination against women and the lack of respect for secular knowledge.Today's episode is about this and more. One of the saddest things in the world is to see something that was once strong and vigorous in a state of decay. But I believe the saddest decay to witness is the decay of the human heart.  The O.T. character David had a front-row seat to watch that process take place in a man named Saul. Saul started out so well. Anointed the first King of Israel, he was refreshingly humble and demonstrated a noble spirit. But by the time he died, Saul was a shell of what he'd once been. Tormented by depression and driven by pathological jealousy, his heart, mind, and soul were in ruins. I look at all the promise that was in Saul at the start, and I look at him at the end, and I wonder, what happened?  How does a life deteriorate so badly? Saul didn't set out to be wicked or violent. It happened over time through a series of bad decisions.1.     He learned to tolerate subtle disobedience.Twice we read of instances where Saul failed to obey the direct command of the Lord through the prophet Samuel. Twice, instead of owning up to his disobedience, he rationalized it. But to do something that looks good and sounds spiritual but to withhold from God a heart of trust and obedience is to totally miss the point.  Are there areas in your life where you're tolerating subtle disobedience?2.     He learned to tolerate the loss of intimacy with God.Because of his disobedience, God's Spirit departed from Saul's life. The loss left Saul “tormented.” God allowed Saul to experience deep pain in the hopes that he would yet repent.It's at this point that David enters the story. It was discovered that when David played his harp, it soothed Saul's spirit and he felt better. Saul needed to repent, but he settled for relief.People still do that. Are you experiencing spiritual pain because there's something wrong between you and God? Don't just distract yourself from the pain, deal with it.3.     He learned to tolerate poisoned relationships.After David's military victories gained him popularity and success, Saul becomes overwhelmed with a murderous anger, fear, and envy. Twice Saul tried to kill David by his own hand thinking if he could just eliminate David, it would eliminate the brokenness in his heart. If you have a toxic spirit towards another person, if there is a fractured relationship, do whatever you can to heal it.4.     He learned to tolerate utter compromise.Now we see the extent of Saul's deterioration. The same king who outlawed the occult disguises himself and seeks out a medium. He wants to speak to the dead – to the prophet Samuel. But the message he hears predicts his doom. Just days later, Saul is wounded in battle and dies at his own hand. Today on a chilling episode of real ghost stories online that some believe was the inspiration for Tammy Faye Bakers makeup and eventual divorce from Jim Baker.  We asked Jim to comment, but we didn't hear back, as he was too busy convincing a bunch of rubes to purchase water laced with Silver! As this evil, demented man lines his pockets and claims that the lord spoke to him and encouraged him to rape the wallets of these idiots he calls followers.  Satan did however get back to us, and let us know that he as a special place in hell for Jim Baker once he kicks it.    When a woman learns that her neighbor has been laying on the floor of his own home, dead and decaying for weeks before someone noticed,  a grim feeling begins to set in around the neighborhood.  As slowly, items start moving on their own, and a very real sense that this former neighbor may not have traveled all too far from the place of his death.
