Présentée par Jeff - Partie CRUSH THE RATS - Convulsound Studio à 00:30:00   Gérer le son live pour des Benighted, Celeste ou Destinity, a dû donner l'envie à Thibault Bernard de rebrancher la guitare. L'ingénieur son, à qui l'on doit des productions d'albums de Kamizol-K ou Deathawaits, pour ne citer qu'eux, présente désormais son propre projet. CRUSH THE RATS est un condensé de violence qui puise principalement dans le grindcore, mais aussi le brutal death, la noise et le black metal. Ce premier EP Don't montre la couleur, en seulement seize minutes et très peu de secondes de respiration. Nous profitons de ce premier méfait pour discuter avec le musicien et l'ingé son sur l'ensemble de ses activités ! En première partie d'émission, nous évoquerons le deuxième album de CROSS BRINGER, formation avec des membres de PREDATORY VOID, REKA et HOARI. Nous allons aussi du côté de la Belgique avec RÄUM qui présente Emperor of the Sun paru chez Les Acteurs De L'Ombre Productions. Partie DVNE à 01:01:20 Depuis plus de dix ans maintenant, DVNE propose un univers complet dans lequel il invite l'auditeur à s'y plonger, surtout si il est amateur de science fiction, de dark fantasy et bien entendu de riffs saturés. Le groupe propose en effet un récit complet inspiré par la littérature ou les jeux vidéos, où se mélange mythologie, rapport au pouvoir et à la religion. Dans ce nouveau chapitre incarné par Voidkind, la formation souhaite dépeindre « une entité divine séduisant et attirant des adeptes à travers leurs rêves et le voyage multigénérationnel de ces adeptes pour atteindre la dimension de leur dieu. » Français d'origine et Écossais d'adoption, le musicien Victor Vicart revient longuement avec nous sur l'épopée de Dvne en deuxième partie d'émission… Que les amateurs de black metal ne se sentent pas perdus avec cette seconde moitié plus éloignée de leur style de prédilection puisque la première partie évoque tout de même les sorties des derniers albums de SELBST, INFESTUS et BLAZE OF PERDITION ! Evidemment les mélodies progressives sont aussi de la partie avec le retour des Norvégiens d'IN VAIN, ainsi que l'incontournable du doom gothique à la britannique MY DYING BRIDE en qualité de groupe classique du lundi soir.

Présentée par Jeff. Partie BENIGHTED à 01:03:19 Et de dix ! Dixième album pour la formation française qui s'est désormais forgée une place d'incontournable dans la scène death metal internationale. Cette solide réputation, BENIGHTED la doit évidemment à son sens du groove et du gruik, mais aussi dans sa facilité à piocher dans d'autres registres du metal extrême et du hardcore, tout en restant très fidèle à sa ligne directrice. Bien sûr, sa fascination et sa curiosité pour les troubles psychotiques qu'il romance à travers des histoires horrifiques est un ingrédient indéniable de son identité… Ekbom perpétue la tradition musicale et conceptuelle de Benighted puisqu'il s'inspire du syndrome du même nom, connu également sous l'appellation de « syndrome de la mort » ou Delusional Parasitosis, caractérisé par la conviction d'avoir une peau infestée d'insectes ou de parasites. Le chanteur Julien Truchan s'est joint à nous en direct pendant l'émission pour parler de cette nouvelle sombre page de l'histoire du groupe ! Mais la formation rhône-alpine ne sera pas la seule représentante de la scène hexagonale dans cette émission, puisque nous vous parlerons en première partie d'émission de deux groupes de black metal français avec MÒR et DARK PLAGUE, qui ont tout fraichement sortis leurs albums respectivement chez Les Acteurs De L'Ombre Productions et Satanath Records. Toujours côté black metal, sur un versant plus mélodique cette fois-ci, nous parlerons également des Suédois de SARCASM qui rappellent les grandes heures de Dissection. Mais l'accent sera prononcé ce soir sur l'actualité death metal de la semaine passée, avec les entités progressives et techniques américaines EXIST et REPLICANT qui se joindront également à la playlist de cette macabre cérémonie du lundi soir…

On s'est posé dans un super studio (au chauuuuud !) pour recevoir un paquet de beau monde Certains étaient prévus, d'autres non, c'est là l'énorme charme de pouvoir sortir du studio habituel ! Quel moment extra encore, le monde était là, que de nouvelles rencontres, que de retrouvailles ! Retrouvez dans cette "Fest Edition" notamment Pascal Pascal Gueugue, de la Fédération des musiques Metalliques, mais aussi notre Julien Truchan de Benighted, qui était présent lui aussi pour une session showcase signatures, nos éternels amis et partenaires Olivier & Nico de We Rock (en grande forme !) accompagnés de Thibault & Tony de Gate Of Mind, l'ami Ivan de Disconnected passe nous voir aussi, Reuno de Mudweiser (Lofofora, Madame Robert, Les Tambours du Bronx !) nous offre aussi un moment avant de monter sur scène, les potos des Highway sont là aussi ! Benighted is an adjective that means in a state of intellectual or moral ignorance.  The Old English word benight was a verb that meant ‘to obscure' or ‘to cover in the darkness of night.' When something is benighted it is ‘in the dark,' if you will. Our word of the day is used to describe someone who is ‘in the dark' in the sense of being ignorant or unaware. Here's an example: While the rest of us immediately got the joke Rachel told, William remained benighted for hours. Some guys are just destined to be in the dark when it comes to understanding sophisticated humor.

They manage to gain entrance after convincing the mute, lumbering butler, Morgan, that they are indeed in distress, and are soon greeted by the house's main occupants, the elderly Femms, Horace and his hard of hearing sister Rebecca. The Femms offer the travelers supper, but as the sternly religious Rebecca finds it inappropriate, no beds. As they sit down to eat a meal of meat and potatoes, two more travelers burst in – the jolly Sir William Porterhouse and his personal companion, Gladys Duquesne. Or is it Perkins? As the evening wends from dinner to conversation to an interest in the rest of the house, things take a turn for the weird, and soon, all are ensnared in a trap – not just to make it through the storm, but to get out of the house alive.
