Avi Wijaya was born into a conservative Muslim family in Indonesia. Avi's father worked as a government official, providing economic security for their family. Avi began attending a Catholic university at the age of 16. His school had a culture of open debate about topics like the economy, social issues, and even religion. Avi became agnostic and eventually atheist.Avi and his wife married just before the lockdowns in 2020 and experienced a devastating miscarriage in 2021. Around the same time, Avi had a number of paranormal experiences that caused him concern. His Muslim friends advised him to read the Qur'an and pray. A Buddhist friend also suggested he begin a meditation practice. Avi tried both and he had a number of interesting experiences while meditating. Avi began reading about things like near-death experiences and eventually came across the ayahuasca subreddit. He then arranged to participate in an ayahuasca ceremony while visiting family in The Netherlands, despite his family's concerns.During his ayahuasca experience, Avi was transported to other realms where he embarked on a cosmic journey, interacting with entities and deceased loved ones, learning valuable lessons he took back with him to Indonesia.

Questions Create Your Answers One of the biggest takeaways from our talk is the importance of asking questions that are going to expand your way of thinking and overall consciousness. Definitely check out Yanik's Cosmic Journal for a ton of powerful and enlightening questions. The following questions catalyzed Yanik to shift gears and reevaluate his life and authentic happiness. After starting a successful business yet feeling a little lost, he asked himself, "Am I happy?" and "Would I be happy in 10 years doing what I'm doing now?" He dared to truly listen to his inner guidance, which clearly said, 'no.' He decided to change his career path, and while it took time to take off, he chose to listen to his soul.  Your Cosmic Alarm Clock You might ask, what is this cosmic alarm clock? Think of it as your wake-up call from your soul. It starts as a whisper, and if you don't pay attention, it will get louder. Because we have free will, hitting the snooze button and staying asleep to what's calling you is always an option. One thing Yanik (and I) have noticed is that it's almost never a good time to do what your soul wants you to do. The question for you will be whether to follow what's waking you up. I shared about my cosmic alarm clock waking me up at 3:33 am about 14 years ago. It had me make a drastic change and u-turn in my life. It was not easy, yet it was one of the most critical and soul-awakening experiences in my life. Yanik experienced this too by realizing that he was not doing work that truly moved his soul.  Your Self-worth Is Not Your Networth It's important to remember, especially those of you who are entrepreneurs, that your self-worth has nothing to do with your networth. It can be tempting to go for the financial rewards and the money, but one thing to keep in mind is that your first intention and focus should be on that thing that aligns your head, heart, and higher self. The money will always follow when you are following your greater soul's guidance.  Following Cosmic Sign Posts Pay attention and choose to be a light that helps others to shine their light. Like Yanik said, bloom where you are planted and keep your inner eye open to the cosmic signposts and evidence that you are indeed always on the right path for your soul to evolve.    Yanik and I randomly chose the cards from Yanik Silver's Cosmic Journey oracle cards. Maybe we’re not lost in the cosmos after all. Years ago the novelist Walker Percy wrote a book called Lost in the Cosmos, in which he showed how, overly shaped by a rigidly scientistic approach to life, we humans lack any rich connection with the universe of which we are a part and, by implication, with ourselves and our neighbors. We know a lot about the periodic table and the laws of thermodynamics, but not a lot about how to live and love, creating societies of creativity and compassion. Richard Tarnas, known for his The Passion of the Western Mind and Cosmos and Psyche, presents a needed alternative. He invites us to imagine the universe as an unfolding journey, filled with multiple dimensions, both physical and archetypal; and to recognize our own embeddedness in this beautiful and dynamic whole. We are journeying within a cosmic journey. In conversation with Matthew Segall and Jay McDaniel, Tarnas shows how Whitehead influenced his thinking. He invites us to consider how the movements of the planets, no less than the movements of our hearts, can help us find our way in a vast and creative universe. We can be found, not lost, in the cosmos.

If you like stop animation and CCCP rockets and ambient techno beats, this is for you. In the year 1946, the Soviet space program is undergoing turmoil. Professor Sedikh, who is planning to lead the first manned exploration to the Moon, is denounced by his rival Professor Karin as being too old and too mentally unstable for the mission. This journey clocks in around 12 minutes 33 seconds and sure, listening to the audio-only version is grand, it's not as grand as the video-and-audio coupling. The music more closely follows the movie scenes whereas with my previous black and white work I wrote the music first and adapted the footage to the melodies. That one time, I fell into the abyss of myself. And then I found me. ⠀ STORY: This is a story of a time That one time, I fell into the abyss of myself. And then I found me. A cosmic journey to self love. Even in the deafening sea of doubt, I know I love myself deep down in that dark abyss inside of me, there is a minuscule quiet light. It pulsates and shines so bright, and it tells me I am that love inside of you, for you. I love you. Heres a little peculiar story of the time I lay alone inn bed, in Barcelona. The sun passed the skies three times, but I didn't move. I felt the overwhelming deafening sense of my existence to be of no difference in the world. The absolute worthlessness of my being. The abrasion of these feelings rubbed me raw until I had nothing of myself to think of, nothing else left to feel... and with no other voices and sounds around me or inside of me, I saw this dark abyss of deep blue. The space of myself. In that space on the right side of my mind, I saw a tiny pulsating point of light, it felt like it was the me, inside of me. And it said, Sarbira, I love you. I. Love .YOU. And I held on to those words, and I felt myself slowly ebbing back to life. To this world. To this reality outside of myself. And for the first time, as I flew back home, I felt like I had found a new relationship. And it was with myself. I knew in the absence of an external love, there was someone who loved me. And it was me. I can't even explain it. But I never felt the raw real ness of that kind of self love. ⠀ As always, move higher, move better. Ann Druyan is a renowned author, lecturer, and television and motion picture writer/producer whose work mostly explores the implications of science and technology for our society. She is the widow of the great Carl Sagan with whom she was a co-writer of the Emmy and Peabody Award winning television series Cosmos. She served as Creative Director for the NASA Voyager Interstellar Record Project that included music and images on the Voyager Spacecrafts that serve as a greeting to possible alien civilizations. She co-created and co-produced of the Oscar nominated movie Contact starring Jodie Foster, which is based on the novel of the same name that she co-wrote with Carl Sagan. She is also the author or co-author of several other books, including A Famous Broken Heart, and Comet, which was on the New York Times best seller list for two months. Shadows of Forgotten Ancestors, also written with Carl Sagan, was another New York Times best seller. Druyan has a new book out in November entitled The Varieties of Scientific Experience: A Personal View of the Search for God, which explores hers and Sagan's views on science and religion. Druyan is co-founder and CEO of Cosmos Studios, which produces science-based entertainment across many types of media. Since 2000, Cosmos Studios has produced four documentaries, including "Cosmic Journey" which was nominated for an Emmy for the best nature/science documentary. She is a Fellow of CSICOP at the Center for Inquiry. In this discussion with DJ Grothe, she stresses the point that people can have a sense of awe and wonder about the universe without having to believe in God or the supernatural, discusses the work of Carl Sagan and his lasting impact, examines the growing need for scientific literacy in our society, and shares why, despite the current cultural war against science, she is optimistic about the future. Also in this episode, Carl Sagan's last public address for CSICOP, from its conference in Seattle in 1994, is presented in its entirety. In this keynote, entitled "Wonder and Skepticism," Sagan eloquently conveys prescient insights about the future of science and technology, argues why science is the best way of looking at the world, shares almost prophetic statements about the cultural war against science in America today, passionately calls for tempering skepticism with a humane understanding of why it is so easy in our society to not be skeptical, and encourages the listener to foster such appreciation for this kind of skepticism especially among young people.
