In the first half, pharmacist Ben Fuchs spoke about natural health remedies and the vitamins, nutrients, and minerals our bodies need to maintain good health. Responding to a listener's question about dry feet, he highlighted the role of circulation and blood sugar, and suggested that essential fatty acids can help with dry, scaly skin. Fuchs also outlined nitric oxide's benefits, explaining, "Nitric oxide is a vasodilator and opens up blood vessels," and that improving circulation, particularly to the extremities and brain, can enhance overall health. For a caller who had issues with "eye floaters," he said this indicates that the eye tissue is starting to break down, and it could be helpful to take supplements that build up connective tissue, like bone broth, glucosamine, and MSM.Fuchs criticized the US healthcare model, asserting that it fails to address chronic degenerative diseases. He claimed, "There's not a single prescription drug that can make you better... we spend more money per capita than any other country in the world on healthcare, and we're the sickest and most obese." Discussing the importance of lifestyle choices, he urged listeners to take control of their health through proper nutrition and exercise. Fuchs remarked, "We as individuals have so much power to participate in our own health," stressing the significance of addressing mental and emotional well-being as part of a holistic approach.------------Emily Harrison is the founder and director of the Akashic Academy, a modern-day mystery school to empower humanity. In the latter half, she shared methods to activate your intuition and learn to interact with the Akashic Records in a meaningful way. She also recalled her journey from aspiring actress to spiritual guide. Originally from Missouri, she moved to Hollywood to pursue acting but found herself struggling. To cope with the pressure, she turned to meditation and energy practices, which ultimately opened her consciousness to the Akashic Records.Harrison described the Akashic Records as a "realm of consciousness that holds all information—past, present, and all possible futures and is recorded from a neutral perspective." This database, she continued, offers insights into one's soul journey and can facilitate personal evolution. Through it, "we can tap into radical courage and our unique genius... to create peace, abundance, prosperity, health in our lives." The Akashic Records are a vast library containing not only individual life histories but also collective human experiences, she stated, adding that "We're all in one huge book together," underscoring our interconnectedness. She explained that while the records hold infinite possibilities, they only reveal information based on what individuals are ready to receive. Sharing a poignant story about a client named Robert, who sought access to his records in relation to a book he was writing about people who lost their partners to a terminal illness, she illustrated the records' potential to be used for various purposes. "As our DNA activates, we have more access to what I'll call our superpowers," she revealed, noting that Robert began to channel messages from his deceased wife during this process. In the last hour, Harrison gave readings for callers.

Through Emily's work at HALL Wines, they are able to create programs that attract new clients — as well as lifetime clients — by engaging, adapting, and changing with technology. On this episode of Legends Behind the Craft, Drew Hendricks sits down with Emily Harrison, Vice President of Marketing and Direct Sales at HALL Wines, to discuss connecting a winery with the consumer. Emily talks about how email marketing can be a useful tool for personalization, how emerging technology can benefit a winery and increase consumer interactions, and why a membership element can curate lifetime consumers.

"In the late 1800’s a young woman named Emily Harrison played in one of Atlanta, Georgia’s woodlands. Later in life, she would help preserve 65 acres of land that she played on, which she called “Fernbank.”  As Atlanta grew and became more urbanized, woodlands were disappearing.  In 1939, with the assistance of other “conservation‐minded environmentalists,” she purchased Fernbank Forest with its creek and forest of ferns.    Fernbank Museum of Natural History may be the only natural history museum to ‘grow’ out of the forest.  The museum opened in 1992, and in 2001 the museum became the first to display the world’s largest dinosaurs as a part of their permanent exhibition."

Whisky is what beer dreams of being when it grows up, but the Covid-19 pandemic has left craft brewers with tens of thousands of gallons of beer and no place to sell it with bars across the U.S. closed. Vermont's WhistlePig Farm has been working with brewers from as far away as Texas to give some of that beer a chance to fulfill a higher purpose: being distilled into whiskey! While we're approaching this from a humorous perspective, it's actually cheaper for the brewers and better for the environment to fill tanker trucks with their surplus beer and send it to Vermont than it would be to dump it into local sewer systems. WhistlePig distillery manager Emily Harrison and CEO Jeff Kozak join us on this week's WhiskyCast In-Depth. In the news, a new survey shows nearly two out of three craft distillers are at risk of going out of business because of the economic impact from the pandemic. We'll have that story along with details on the week's new whiskies and much more, including our latest Whisky Club of the Month!

Emily Harrison is the Founder/Director of the The Akashic Academy, a modern day mystery school dedicated to sharing knowledge that is changing the planet. Raised in a small town in Louisiana, Emily dropped out of school to pursue her dream of being a hollywood actress. In the early days that meant working in restaurants where she had the opportunity to serve the likes of Jerry Seinfield. Her acting career took off and led to Emily being cast in a leading role on the American soap opera “The Bold and The Beautiful.”  What should have been the pinnacle of her career went off the track when Emily realized her heart was not in it. This impacted her performance and ultimately led to her being fired. In 2015 Emily became a certified Akashic Records practitioner. She left her career in Hollywood and created a healing business that includes teaching, speaking, contributing to the Huffington Post, and mentoring/certifying others in the Akashic Records.  For those that don’t know the Akashic Records are an energetic record of every person, place, thing, event, and animal on the planet. You could count me skeptical when I first heard Emily speak about the Akashic records at Harvard (we shared a stage). We had a lively discussion in which Emily: Explains what the Akashic records are How they can be used to find the clarity you’re seeking What waking up really means Why we’re all masters and newbies at the same time Why your story so far is as important as the story yet to be written How you past has been training you for the future ahead And how she deals with the naysayers who mock her so called “woo woo” work Emily’s genuine interest in helping others is impossible to deny, as is her passion for sharing the knowledge of the Akashic records. This week on 5.6.7.EIGHT, Aleksandra interviews Emily Harrison, a registered dietitian nutritionist, public speaker, and experienced writer, who has worked alongside hundreds of dancers to encourage healthy eating and positive body image. Emily, who is an elite-level ballet dancer, has garnered both a bachelor’s and a master’s degree in nutrition from Georgia State University. She now resides in Atlanta, Georgia and spearheads her own private practice — Nutrition for Great Performances — where she counsels dancers and athletes on healthy living. On the podcast, Emily spends some time describing her experience as a dancer and, currently, as an entrepreneur and elaborates on what drew her towards nutrition in the first place. Emily spends some time walking through the importance of nutrition for dancers and walks through the diet that she considers integral for active performers. Emily also speaks on the nature of success and how we can achieve our goals, as long as we’re being driven by a singular focus.   Moving Quotes: “If you’re going to be a dancer, your body is literally your instrument." “[Nutrition is] more than just pounds on a scale." “My message to dancers is always, number one, that you have to eat. But, number two, you have to be strategic and smart about what you eat." “In athletics, you see many more people understanding the value and impact of nutrition, but in the dance world, we’re slow to come to that. And I think we’re experiencing a Renaissance in that thinking now." “So many times, my clients will say, 'I just a want to be a dancer.' Well, what does that mean? What company? Who are your favorite choreographers? Who are your idols? Where is your body type a right fit? … It’s a tough field. You have to have such single-minded focus. You have to give everything you’ve got to this career." “Having a private practice has been a real blessing in my life because I can be there for my kids when they need me, but I can also have a career as well. I think the flexibility of the nutrition field has been a real benefit in my life." “The kinds of diets I put my clients on are not only performance enhancing and injury preventing, but they also help dancers, frankly, look better in tights." “One of the most challenging things about being an entrepreneur is that I have to do it all." Bullet Points (w/ timestamps) - Highlighting key topics discussed: 3:25: Emily discusses the point in her life when nutrition became a field of interest for her and the importance of nutrition to dancers’ lives. 7:26: Emily shares some information about her own business — Nutrition for Great Performances — and the different ways her business helps clients. 10:34: Emily explains the diet that she believes has most to offer for active dancers — smaller, more frequent meals. 15:20: Harrison describes what drew her towards the field of nutrition and what she loves most about being an entrepreneur. 19:02: Harrison explains the most rewarding and most challenging aspects of entrepreneurship. 21:41: Emily gives some advice for aspiring dancers or entrepreneurs in dance-related fields, largely centered around having a singular focus and pushing towards that goal. 25:17: Emily discusses what’s next for her in the field of nutrition and how our own personal nutrition choices could help save the planet.
