So fühlte sich Dirk Liesenfeld nach 40 Jahren Ideologie als Fleischverächter. Diese Verblendung hatte ihn zu folgenden Gebrechen geführt: Migräne mit Sehstörungen, Erbrechen, Mouche volants, Untergewicht trotz Leistungssport, Hautprobleme, Gelenkprobleme, zweimalige Bandscheibenvorfälle, Schlaflosigkeit, Entzündungen, Schwellungen, verstopfte Nase, Arthritis, Rheuma, Eitertaschen im Mund, Tinnitus, Blähbauch, Schweißausbrüche.Er ahnte, dass das Ende seines Lebens gekommen ist, wenn er so weitermacht. Durch das Wiedereinführen von Fleisch ist seine Gesundheit zu 20 % wiedergekommen, durch das Einführen von Dirty Carnivore zu weiteren 30 %. Mit PKD (paleolitische ketogene Diät) ging es dann noch weiter bergauf. Sein Zonulintest deutete auf einen stark undurchlässigen Darm hin. Er nahm zwar an Gewicht ab, aber sein Spiegelbild zeigte ihm, dass es gut war. Der Fettanteil sank, der Wasseranteil auch, aber die Muskulatur steigte langsam an.Nach längerer Zeit mit PKD fühlte er sich aber dann doch wie ausgemergelt. Er vermutet, dass eine zu geringe Insulinausschüttung kaum noch anabole Signale erbrachte. So nahm er ganz wenige Kohlenhydrate in Form von Reis und Dextrose zu sich. Damit ging es wieder bergauf. A new video of BLM Patrisse Cullors speaking to a crowd of people in 2010 came out today.  Ms. Cullors in the past has stated that she IS a “Trained Marxist”, but NOW we have her on video talking about how her book being compared to Mao’s Red Book.  Mao Zedong, the first chairman of the Chinese Communist Party & dictator, whom murdered millions of his people to get his way. Good friend and counselor from Unc's rehab facility comes on the podcast to share his days coming up in the hardcore punk zeitgeist, what his childhood was like growing up in Southern California and exactly how quickly his drug use flipped from the best of times to the absolute miserable pit of despair many of us come to terms with. Everyone loves a great Christmas story! Well, the original Christmas story – the story of the birth of Jesus – is told a few different ways in the Bible. One version is very abstract – written like a passage of philosophy or theology, another is kind of hardcore – described through the metaphor of an epic battle, and then another is what we would call “traditional” – the humble story of a King born in a quiet corner of the world and placed in a manger.

This week, Rhonda and I take on two very common terms in game culture: casual and hardcore gamers. We talk with Toria and Melissa about how they define a gamer, fandom, game culture, and game play.
