Today's dose of "Vitamin D" is dedicated to the declaration "I am light." Now we're going to look at this in both ways. I am light as far as I want you to shine. Be that light. Be that inspiration that you can be for others and for yourself. And then also, I want it to be a reminder that you don't need to carry the burdens of stress of things that are hindering you from moving forward. It made me think of this track by India.Arie, entitled "I Am Light" and in it she says, "I am light. I am not the things my family did. I am not the voices in my head. I am not the pieces of the brokenness inside. I am light." That's the same for you. Let it go. If it doesn't serve you, it doesn't deserve you. Remember, everything and everyone cannot go with you. India continues, "I am light. I am not the mistakes that I have made or any other things that have caused me pain. I am not the pieces of the dream I left behind. I am light." Hey, worry is a negative form of worship. Make a decision. Let it go and allow yourself to flow. Declare "I am light." That's it for your dose of "Vitamin D." They get the jobs they want. They have the money they need. Their relationships either improve, or the negative ones dissolve and new ones begin. It’s a very simple premise—loving yourself. I’ve been criticized for being too simplistic, and I have found that the simple things are usually the most profound. Love Is Power, Topic "Sing to Me", is dedicated to all the Mother and daughters out there that have great relationships, this is also to the mother’s and daughter’s that do not have great relationships but wish we they did. This is also for the soon to be mothers. Mother-daughter relationships are complex and diverse. Some mothers and daughters are best friends. Others talk once a week. Some see each other weekly; others live in different states or countries. Some spar regularly. Some avoid conflict. Others talk through everything and undoubtedly, there’s a hint of all these things in most relationships. There also are ups and downs, no matter how positive (or prickly) the relationship. Understanding a Mother-Daughter Conflict sees three primary complaints that daughters have about their moms: Moms try to parent them and are overly critical and demanding. From moms’ perspective, daughters don’t listen to them, make poor choices and have no time for them. Whatever your relationship with your mother or daughter, you can always make improvements.
