In our episode today our destination is Europe. And narrowing that focus further, we are setting sail for the country of Belgium and its capital city Brussels to chat with our guest Ms Tiffany Cheng. Tiffany is the founder of INSPIRE MY DAY and helps ex-pats who feel that they are stagnating in middle management to move up and reach the top leadership role of their dreams by changing the way they influence themselves and others, in order to make a bigger impact and higher income. Prior to becoming a leadership communications coach, Ms. Cheng was the Vice President of Communication at the Volvo Group and the Atlas Copco Group. During the 16 years of her corporate career, she directly advised global and regional Presidents and coached nearly 100 senior leaders. Tiffany is married and a mom with a 4-year-old girl and a 6-year-old boy and they share their home with a very active Border Collie. While at home the family speaks three languages - English, French, and Chinese which is providing a great grounding for the children. Born in Shanghai to a low-income family, Tiffany has maintained two lofty professional dreams: the first is to reach the top of the corporate ladder and become a person of success. Dr. Nathan Regier welcomes Tom Kolditz to today’s episode. Tom is the founding director of the Ann and John Doerr Institute for New Leaders at Rice University. After graduating teachers college he taught for 6 years in New South Wales during the 1960's.  David moved to Alberta, Canada in 1967 where he worked as a classroom teacher before becoming Vice Principal and then Principal of Hays School. Later, David was appointment Principal of Central School in Taber. He then served as a visiting professor at the University of Lethbridge, and the Assistant Superintendent of schools in the county of Lethbridge.  David has served as an educational researcher in Lethbridge's School District 51, and an educational consultant with the government of Alberta.  He became a permanent member of the faculty of education at the university of Lethbridge in 1985, and retired in 2014. In parks, we have spread the myth of a lone heroic leader at the top. We give special attention and privilege to someone with a leadership title. If it takes a hero to lead people, it moves leadership out of the reach of most people. As leaders, we need to remember the person is more important than the position. You don't have to have a title to be a leader. We need to treat every member of the staff as an important piece of the success of the park and encourage them to be a leader. Dylan Mroszcyk-McDonald returns to the Park Leaders Show to continue our series on leadership and culture in parks.  Focusing on a single heroic leader often leads to a staff unable to quickly adapt to change. It leads to competition because people feel there is scarcity in leadership, influence, and importance. Every contribution is valid. Everyone's work towards our mission is valuable. Park culture would benefit from a shift in this direction rather than highlight a lone heroic leader. Even if a leader gets accolades for accomplishments, it never would have happened without the team all working towards the same mission. If you are not in a leadership position, what can you do to set yourself up as a leader? Leadership is about action. You don't need a title to take action. Decide you are a leader and begin to take action. Next, consider your supervisor's job. What do they do? What responsibilities do they have? Figure out how you can help contribute to their success. Not only will that help your supervisor, you will learn what it takes to be successful at the next level. Find additional ways to contribute. Join committees. Volunteer for assignments. Being a park ranger is an admirable job. Many people grow up dreaming of becoming a park ranger.  Yet, too many people leave parks, and walk away from their dream, because of poor leadership or an unhealthy culture.  Dylan Mroszczyk-McDonald, a park ranger at Acadia National Park, joins host Jody Maberry on the Park Leaders Show to examine some of the challenges parks face with leadership and culture.  For the future of parks, we need to be able to not only attract but also retain a diverse staff.  The front line supervisor has the biggest impact on employees and our ability to accomplish the mission of parks. By shifting the focus of parks away from the visitor and the resources and towards building leaders, we can begin to build a culture where people are willing to spend decades serving others.  The greater the employee experience, the greater the experience visitors will have.

On various occasions in the last podcasts, we often described how we could gain knowledge on the correlations of behaviours and deep-rooted beliefs. You may have noticed that we are confident that we can help coaches to make their work more robust by using Information Field Technology. What is Information Field Technology? Many cultures based their whole philosophy on the understanding that every thought, every event, every memory gets stored as a vibrational information in a non-physical space. This idea by now finally gains acceptance by modern scientists, quantum physicists, and philosophers. The German physicist Burkhard Heim developed the idea of a 12-dimensional concept of the universe, in which all mental and physical processes come together in a field, stored as information patterns. He coined this the information field. Markus Schmieke, German, chess player, musician, physicist, studied Indian philosophy and wanted to create a device that enables us to read and write in the information field, to highlight subconscious connections and harmonize these to increase mental, emotional and physical wellness. The information field contains the vibrational patterns of thoughts, emotions, events, substances, and living organisms. TimeWaver technology can read these vibrational information patterns and thus can present a holistic understanding of a person. There are ten levels we can gain information from to gain a deeper understanding of our client. The ones coaches will focus on are the spiritual, systemic, psychological and informational level. On the systemic level, we have databases addressing imbalances related to prenatal aspects and family constellation. The psychological level has about 12 000 entries covering information patterns concerning resolving blocking convictions, such as "Criticism from others means that I am not perfect," or "I always have to be there for others." Other entries on this level focus on freeing and transformative affirmations, new directions, and resolutions, such as "I am willing to take the necessary risks to change."
