Kelsey Ramsden has taken her over 15 years of expertise funding, scaling, and operating businesses across Canada and the Caribbean and applied it to her innovative new company, Mind Cure Health, which aims to change the way we understand, apply, and optimize psychedelic and digital therapeutics.  Kelsey explains how her own personal experience with psychedelics in a clinical setting helped her overcome the challenges that plagued her throughout her life, baseless feelings of never being enough or the unnecessary compulsion to over-justify herself and her ideas. Inspired by her own personal improvement, Kelsey no longer felt the need to prove herself to others or be held to some imaginary unattainable standard but rather set out to help provide access to this alternative treatment to the world. Facing not only cultural but legal and regulatory challenges, Kelsey explains how her company promotes long-term healing while providing vital resources for researchers, clinicians, and patients alike. What that meant for us was investigating molecular research that would be the blue-sky horizon, so, independent of when the typical generic MDMA or Psilocybin get approved, we're in charge of the approval process, meaning we do the clinical research on the novel molecule to get it to market. That is drug development. So, that's one side.”

Have you ever had a goal that you worked really really hard for, for months maybe even years, and then when you accomplished it, it just didn’t feel as great as you thought it would?  Show Notes: https://mindlove.com/094 So if our goals aren’t always fulfilling, is there really any point in having goals if they aren’t gong to fulfill us anyway? YES… yes you should have goals… but there are important ways we should choose and strive for these goals if we want them to feel meaningful to us. Today we’re talking to Kelsey Ramsden is my friend and also an award-winning business mogul and entrepreneur. She’s ranked amongst the top women entrepreneurs in the world. After achieving every milestone she set out for, scaling multiple companies to millions of dollars - she still didn’t feel complete. So she studied why. Most of the remarkable things in our lives are by way of chance, however we often try to engineer everything remarkable… “If I do this… then that…” The key is to put yourself in the way of chance. What happens after you reach your big, hairy, audacious goal? On today’s episode of The Road to Seven podcast I’m speaking with Kelsey Ramsden, author of Success Hangover. Today we’re talking about what happens after you reach your goal and things we can do to work through the success hangover. Takeaways from this episode Having an MBA doesn’t make you a business person It’s important to build alignment with your business and the people who work there The goal is not the finish line—there is no finish line in entrepreneurship Feedback doesn’t mean you’re not good enough. Allow feedback and input to make you better Go for the hard stuff, that’s where all the best stuff is Don’t surround yourself with critics, surround yourself with people who have your back and give you the tough feedback Receive feedback with care and love but also remember you have your own mind Don’t lose your innovation—ask yourself is there a more exciting way to work? Is there something different you can try?
