Episode hosted by Melissa Monte of The Mind Love Podcast: Do you ever catch yourself thinking, “Damn, why does my brain keep screwing me over?” Maybe you're stuck in an anxiety spiral, or you can't kick that habit you've been trying to ditch for years. Trust me, I've been there, and it's a special kind of hell. Here's a wild thought: What if everything we think we know about our brains is completely backwards? Most people have the wrong expectations of meditation… and actually meditation is kind of the antithesis of meditation. And transcendental meditation helps you get to that state. Non judgment. Non attachment. No expectations. Letting go. And sometimes, even moments of bliss. Our guest is Dr. Tony Nader, one of the godfathers of transcendental meditation and basically an expert in consciousness. And I know I know… consciousness doesn't mean a whole lot unless you're deep into spirituality. But what about tapping into infinite creativity, higher potential, more energy, and just carrying bliss throughout your day? This episode is going to make you rethink everything you thought you knew about your mind. We Will Learn: *How consciousness, not your brain, is the primary creator of your reality. *The secret to meditation's deep rest and wakeful alertness. *How transcendental meditation can transform your brain functions, improve your physiological age, and even alter your DNA. How has everyone been doing? because I have been going through it. September was the most challenging month of my responsible-adult-chapter of my life. It tested every ounce of my resilience and every spiritual tool I've ever preached about. It was the kind of month that makes you question if the universe has a personal vendetta against you. Grief, fear, and raw survival instincts hit me all at once. Here's what I've discovered: in most cases, it's not about rising above or avoiding certain experiences, but instead, radically changing how you experience them. Instead of spiraling in the storm, you dance in the rain. So in this episode, I'm about to share the story of my month filled with loss, terrifying medical chaos, natural disasters, and the business decision that forced me to navigate it all while literally evacuating my family to safety. And I'm also going to share how I'm dealing with it all, because I am still currently in it… what I'm learning, how I'm processing, what I'm leaning into and out of, and my personal healing tools. Melissa is a mentor, speaker, and podcast host of “Mind Love”, where she helps people give their minds a little love (which we ALL need). Melissa believes that her Great Work comes from the evolution of someone she was mentally ignoring and subduing for years: herself. She guides us through and shows an immensely beautiful amount of vulnerability to her 10-year downward spiral where she had to find the strength to push back against the walls that were closing in on her mental well-being.Half of her life, Melissa built 100% of her life around everyone else and the core being of who she really was. However, through the struggles, Melissa came to realize that the more vulnerable she is what she needs, the more she can move forward. She works with her personal goals, fights brain negativities, and scratches her own itches first in order to help the world around her.We may not realize that we are all struggling with such similar things, and yet we still believe our struggles are so unique and no one will understand. However, the basis of what we as human beings go through is so immensely similar than we may realize. Melissa expands her Great Work to the minds of others, helping people not only to expand their minds with care and self-love, but also with guidance to see outside the bubble that they themselves or society has created for them.About the Guest:Melissa Monte is a mindset mentor, speaker, and podcast host. This is your source for channeled holistic stress management techniques, guidance, inspiration and motivation to stay on your path to rapid financial ascension and massive impact as a conscious entrepreneur. The title of this podcast episode is Love Yourself and Make Mistakes.   So in this podcast episode, I have the honor and pleasure of getting to introduce you to my new friend Melissa Monty from mind love.com And the mind love podcast. Welcome to the podcast goddess. Melissa: I'm so excited to be here. I'm already pumped up from our previous conversation, so I'm excited. Yeah. Oh   Victoria: My gosh. So that was amazing. So everyone like if you have not yet checked her out on my love calm you can find my podcast with her whenever she's whenever it's posted. I'm gonna wing it where we're at in time space reality as we're recording this thing. But I'm so grateful to have been a guest on the mind love podcast and I wanted to return the love because Melissa is pretty awesome. And I wanted to share her with all of you. So with that being said, Melissa, I know you're amazing. And you have like a pretty good understanding and I'm pretty cool too. But for all my listeners, this may very well be the first time that they're getting to hear about you and what you do in the world. Could you please in your own words, introduce yourself what what you do but especially what are the three things that you're known for? Could you tell us? Melissa: Yeah, well, what I've been known for has evolved as I've evolved, but what the thing that has been the the recurring thing the through line through all of it is mindset shifts. So every ever since I was a young child, I have for some reason felt the urge the enthusiasm to help people look at things a different way I before I ever knew what self development was like when I was in grade school. I remember just kind of seeing people struggle with their problems and realizing I could see it from a different point of view and I would facilitate a mindset shift. I did not realize that that I was doing until way later on in life when I started having to do it for myself, because isn't it so much easier to show to be the reflection for someone else's mindset shift than to put it forth at ourselves? Yeah, a lot of my healing and my growth came to figure out how to apply that to myself as well. The other things I'm known for now are my marketing background.    Even though I am a mostly in the world of mindset coaching. Marketing is just the way my grew a million downloads just the first year and it's also how I help other people launch their businesses and give them ideas for how to grow from nothing. So marketing is still there and finding purpose. And so finding purpose can be either that entrepreneur journey of like, what can I figure out? How can I figure out how to get paid for doing what I love. And for some people it can also be just that finding the meaning and every day maybe they are sticking with their corporate job and it means what it means to them, but they need to find that purpose in another way. So the finding purpose, marketing and mindset shifts are my three top things I love. - Let's talk about it! - Thanks for stopping by! While you're here, let me ask you a question: Do you ever feel like you're having a hard time sustaining the level of energy you need in order to keep up with the demands of your business? Or do you find yourself struggling to stay consistent with your self care - like meditation, movement, and nutrition - because you're so busy and distracted at work? Searching for safe spaces to celebrate your wins and work through your sh*t as an energy sensitive entrepreneur? If that resonates, know this: you are in the right place; in fact your intuition has lead you here to the gateway for your next breakthrough: GO HERE NOW.

LOVED our conversation about KNOWING what we know and HOW to know that! How many times do you think you want to do something, only to do it and find out you were disappointed, drained, used? When we learn to listen to our knowing, we can be in OUR flow, not give our best selves away to situations or people that aren't aligned with our truth. Even if we DON'T know if we want to say yes to a date, a night out, a new job offer... Melissa shares many ways to create a healthy time out boundary so that you can sit in the discomfort and really listen to what's true for you. We agree that the discomfort is a GIFT or healing, growth and empowerment. Soon you'll get to a place of knowing what feels or sounds good and take charge of your calendar, time and energy. New motherhood has been a gift for Melissa to read books, but not define her unique journey based on someone's ideas but instead her own intuition. Her already amazing communication with her husband has deepened giving each other grace, remember to not take it personally when someone's 'hangry' and listening to each of their higher selves. You will LOVE these simple yet profound shifts and rich questions to ask yourself to create a life you love waking up to... even with a 3 month old! xox --------------------------------- p.s. The PurposeGirl Podcast: Empowering women to live their purpose with courage, joy, and fierce self-love.

Sister, I hate to break it to you but "bad" decisions are just part of life. You dated the person who wasn't good for you. You stayed in the job that you hated with the terrible boss. You got into the numbing out cycle of addiction. You keep looking for something outside yourself for validation and love. Well, Sister, I'm here today with an incredible guest to talk about accepting all these parts of ourselves - and then choosing to shift them into purpose.  Melissa Monte considers herself a guinea pig for bad decisions. And today she has a wildly successful business and podcast that helps us to turn our lives around when we tune in and find ourselves in a place we don't want for ourselves. Today, Melissa and I are talking about: How we can find ourselves feeling lost after experiencing trauma, and how when we don't address those things they come out in other ways, and how we can then rewire our brains FOR our own benefit.  Melissa's personal story of growth, and how she realized she was in a better place after a series of traumatic events but that she was not much happier. And then, of course, what she did about that! How Melissa turned some of the most traumatic things that have ever happened to her - like going to jail for someone else's crime - into her purpose. What analysis paralysis is and how we can get out of that cycle. How to go inside and investigate the feelings and emotions we have without it being so scary (hint, it's never not scary...) And so much more.  About Melissa Monte:  Melissa Monte is a mindset coach and host of the podcast Mind Love. After spending a decade being what she calls a "guinea pig for bad decisions," she became obsessed with learning what makes us humans tick. Now she teaches people the tools that turned her life around. How to Face Impostor Syndrome As A Coach and Content Creator with Hailey Rowe

Impostor Syndrome. Most coaches, if not all, have experienced it, even the best of the best. But what exactly is this Impostor Syndrome?  How does it affect your practice as a coach and the way you approach your audience? To answer these questions, we've invited Hailey Rowe to share with us her expertise on this topic. Hailey is a business coach for health and wellness professionals. In her work, she has seen how impostor syndrome gets into the way of life and health and wellness coaches, consultants, and course creators and she has helped them overcome it. Hailey shares with us her own experience with impostor syndrome, the signs you need to be aware of and some useful tips and recommendations to face it. Make sure you have pen and paper at hand because this episode is packed with actionable tips. Let's dive in! Impostor Syndrome in the context of creating online content Impostor syndrome manifests when online coaches and content creators question themselves and their capacity to share their knowledge. They have doubting questions in their mind such as: Am I enough to be doing this? Am I a true expert? Who am I to be saying these things and giving advice? Who would want to listen to me? When you doubt you aret good enough, it can definitely come across in the content you are creating. It can get in the way of what you want to say, share, or even of you taking action and putting yourself out there. Preparing to face impostor syndrome as an online coach At some point in your business you'll have to face impostor syndrome. That's why you need to prepare yourself for it. Here are some questions that will help you with that process: 1. Why am I feeling this way? Sometimes you are just feeling the impostor syndrome because you would feel more confident if you had more experience behind you or a certification. Find ways to start building your confidence and start getting more experience so that that transfers into your content and you start feeling like an expert. You can get more experience by offering free coaching calls or taking a certification program. 2. What else is true? Every business problem starts with a thinking or paradigm problem. You have to change the way you think. Ask yourself: what else is true? If you have things you've gone through, stories you could share – it's probably going to help somebody else.  Ask yourself what else is true. Typically, you have a lot more value to bring than you think. Think about how you can give value to people, how you can share experiences, what does your audience need to hear today, and how you can be supportive to them. Signs of impostor syndrome Here are the 3 common signs that you are going through impostor syndrome: Loud negative thoughts — As you're writing a post, recording a video, or creating content, negative thoughts go through your head such as “no one will want to consume my content”. Comparing yourself to others — Looking at yourself as inferior and telling yourself that someone else is better than you. Not taking action in your business — You have a negative voice in your head hesitating to step or move forward. If you are overwhelmed with impostor syndrome, get some help. If you let impostor syndrome stop you and keep you stuck, it will be an expensive journey. It will keep you from showing up for your audience, being seen, getting clients, growing, and being able to become more confident. Common causes of impostor syndrome Social media – In social media, we see everybody in their best. It changes the perception of what is normal. So we often compare ourselves to others. Having Type A personality – When you have this type of personality, you always want everything to be perfect.  In short, perfectionist people are just more prone to feeling impostor syndrome. Lack of experience or education – This can actually work for you or against you. If you use this to your advantage, you'll get yourself more professional development to overcome this. People in your life – Ask yourself: Do you have people who are supportive and cheering you on? Or do you only have people who doubt and put you down? 2 Recommendations for preventing external criticism from feeding impostor syndrome When you create content online, you will be receiving feedback from your audience all the time. Sometimes, the criticism you receive is useful to get better at what you do, but there will also be negative comments that could restrain you to continue with your content creation. Nevertheless, there are some things you can do to prevent this criticism to hold you back in serving your audience: Have a reset ritual – When you receive criticism, having something that you can fall back on when you need to have a fast resilience rate / bounce back rate is so important. Have something you do on the days you feel rejection, something that cheers you up and brings you back to your mission and brings your energy back. Be mindful of the criticisms you receive. Some are constructive while some are subjective and just not true about you. Don't wallow on it. Separate yourself and your identity from your business - If somebody has something negative to say about your business or content, that is about your business. It's not about you as a person. Don't overthink, overanalyze, or add more drama to the situation. Always remind yourself to look at the facts. Is there any truth to it? How can you respond to this and come out from an empowering place? Instead of seeing the negative, use impostor syndrome to your advantage. Feeling impostor syndrome can be an indicator of things you want or need to learn. It can lead to your growth so you can eventually become the next best version of yourself. When you experience it yourself, you also become more relatable to your audience.  3 Tips or strategies for reducing impostor syndrome when it comes to creating online content Think about your top 3 topics or ways that you can serve your audience that you feel really confident about. Something you know or have experienced and overcome yourself. Focus on what makes you feel good and excited. Do journal prompts. Try to look at your setbacks and challenges in a different way. Ask yourself what your ideal client would like to hear or how you can share lessons, stories and experiences with them without making it about yourself. If impostor syndrome is really holding you back, get a coach or a community to help you. It is important that you talk to somebody about it.  Put yourself in an environment that is supportive. Changing your environment is so underrated but it's so important if you want to change the way you behave and act. Create an environment that supports how you can be more confident.   While imposter syndrome is commonly seen in the earlier stages of building yourself as a coach, it gets quieter as you grow and get better. This is because you are also facing a learning curve and, thus, you feel very vulnerable at that point in your business. But always remember that there are people who will get value from what you are doing. One of the best things you can do for yourself is commit to making your vision and mission to help people bigger than your doubts and your fears around imposter syndrome. Have you ever experienced imposter syndrome when creating your content? What did you do to face it?
