Just minutes after NXT TakeOver: 36 went off the air, host Adam Silverstein and co-host Chris Vannini convene to break down the results from one of the most memorable NXT shows over the last couple of years. The guys offer their unique analysis and grades on Adam Cole wrestling his last match in NXT and possibly WWE as a whole, WALTER and Ilja Dragunov putting on arguably the Match of the Year across any promotion, Samoa Joe capturing the NXT championship from Karrion Kross, Raquel Gonzalez and Dakota Kai putting on a barn burner, and Cameron Grimes (alongside Ted DiBiase) finally ending his feud with LA Knight over the Million Dollar Championship. "The Silver King" and "Vintage" discuss all that and more before providing their post-show grades and looking ahead at what's to come. Follow Getting Over on Twitter @GettingOverCast.
NXT continues its march towards TakeOver 36 and the August 10th edition took major strides to solidifying the card. Dakota Kai looked to send a message to Raquel Gonzalez by taking on the only undefeated woman in NXT, Sarray. LA Knight agreed to put his Million Dollar Championship on the line against Cameron Grimes with a major caveat. Kyle O'Reilly and Adam Cole had an intense face-to-face meeting to set the terms of engagement for the Undisputed Finale. Pete Dunne belittled Ilja Dragunov until the latter proposed a match which turned into an all out war in the main event. (STINGER: New Japan) Kota Ibushi's status for the main event of New Japan's Wrestle Grand Slam in Tokyo Dome on Sunday...is in doubt. New Japan announced early Wednesday that Ibushi has been diagnosed with aspiration pneumonia. It also clarified that this illness is not related to a recent COVID-19 vaccination that Ibushi received. He's been pulled from all events through July 24th. The Dome show is on Sunday the 25th. Ibushi is set to challenge Shingo Takagi for the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship. New Japan is promising an update on Ibushi's status before then. New Japan's next stop on its Summer Struggle tour is on Thursday...with two singles matches topping the card: Tetsuya Naito vs. Taichi...and SANADA vs. Zack Sabre Jr. Two new matches are announced for New Japan's Resurgence show in Los Angeles on August 14th: Karl Fredericks vs. Alex Coughlin...and a 6-Man Tag: Fred Rosser, Rocky Romero & Wheeler Yuta vs. TJP, Clark Connors & Ren Narita. (STINGER: AEW) AEW Dynamite is LIVE tonight in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. It's Fyter Fest Night TWO! There's a new match just announced last night - Darby Allin vs. Wheeler Yuta. Allin will have Sting in his corner. Yuta will have Orange Cassidy in his, as Yuta's alliance with the Best Friends takes shape. Speaking of Cassidy, he'll have a match of his own tonight...against The Blade. Dr. Britt Baker defends the AEW Women's Championship tonight...against Nyla Rose. Jon Moxley puts the IWGP United States Championship on the line against Lance Archer in a Texas Death Match. Chris Jericho begins his quest to fight his way through The Pinnacle to get to a match against MJF. Tonight, it's Jericho vs. Shawn Spears...with the stipulation that Spears can use a steel chair, but Jericho can NOT. Also tonight, Frankie Kazarian vs. Doc Gallows. On last night's Dark… The Bunny rolled up and pinned Big Swole with a handful of tights...after Diamante kicked Swole in the head while the referee's back was turned. The Acclaimed & Private Party beat the Varsity Blondes & Dark Order's Alan “5” Angels & 10. Angels took the pin after taking Private Party's Gin & Juice and Max Caster's top rope elbow drop. The Acclaimed talked trash on The Blondes after the match. That feud is far from settled. Dustin Rhodes beat Aaron Solo in the main event. In an interview with Diamond Dallas Page, Jake “The Snake” Roberts said he recently signed a new two-year contract extension with AEW. (STINGER: WWE) Samoa Joe spent last night's episode of NXT looking for NXT Champion Karrion Kross. Joe is still upset about Kross choking him out at the end of last week's show. There was virtually NO mention last night of Kross' Raw debut on Monday night - where he was pinned by Jeff Hardy in less than two minutes. Kross finally showed up at the very end of last night's NXT...standing over an unconscious GM William Regal in the parking lot. Kross sped away as Joe could only watch. Raquel Gonzalez is still the NXT Women's Champion. She beat Xia Li in last night's main event. The rest of Tian Sha were NOT on hand to back up Li. Xia Li appeared to be injured by a corner splash by Gonzalez. The match was stopped while the medical staff checked on her. After a minute or so, they allowed the match to continue...and Gonzalez quickly put Li away with a chokebomb for the pin. Odyssey Jones beat Andre Chase to advance in the NXT Breakout Tournament. Drake Maverick got an upset, rollup win over LA Knight...after Maverick pushed Knight into the Million Dollar Championship being held by Knight's butler Cameron Grimes. Grimes seemed pleased with the result...until Knight ordered him to punch Maverick in the face. Kyle O'Reilly submitted Austin Theory. Cruiserweight Champion Kushida & Bobby Fish beat The Diamond Mine's Roderick Strong & Tyler Rust. Kushida forced Rust to tap out to the Hoverboard Lock. Franky Monet is now aligned with Robert Stone and Jessi Kamea...but Mandy Rose isn't showing her hand just yet. We got the official announcement that NXT TakeOver 36 will happen on Sunday, August 22 - the day after SummerSlam. On last night's NWA Powerrr...the groundwork was laid for the upcoming Champions Series tournament. This will be a team competition...and the captains are all current champions in the NWA. They drafted their teams last night. The tournament begins next Tuesday. The future of the GHC Tag Team Titles will be decided at Pro-Wrestling NOAH's show on Thursday. The former champs Masa Kitamiya and Katsuhiko Nakajima recently battled in a Hair vs. Hair Steel Cage Match. Safe to assume, they're not going to patch things up anytime soon. So, they each found a new partner to compete in this match for the tag titles. It'll be Masa Kitamiya & Kaito Kiyomiya vs. Katsuhiko Nakajima & Manabu Soya. Also on Thursday, All Japan has a big show..with.Jake Lee defending the Triple Crown against Shotaro Ashino. That's JUST Pro Wrestling News for Wednesday, July 21. Well WWE finally did it. They have driven Ritz completely mad. A little more than 48 before Hell In A Cell it's announced that Roman will not be competing on Sunday and instead they will have the Universal Title Hell In A Cell match this past Friday night on Smackdown. Why? With so much on the line, why give it away on free tv? Why hurt your event even more? That being said, who will come out on top this Sunday inside Hell In A Cell? Will Bayley regain her gold from Bianca Belair? Can Drew McIntyre make good of his last chance at the WWE Championship? Also on the show…did NXT live up to the hype? Are we pleased with the outcome and subsequent fall out? Was Karrion the right guy to win? Should Kyle have taken the pin? Is LA Knight the right guy to hold the Million Dollar Championship? Find out the answers to all of these questions and so much more tonight on In This Very Ring.

Listen and subscribe at www.JustProWrestlingNews.com I'm Matt Carlins and this is JUST Pro Wrestling News for Monday, June 14, 2021. This update is brought to you by IndyWrestling.us. (STINGER: WWE) After weeks of hype and vignettes...Eva Marie is set to return on tonight's Raw. Also being promoted for tonight's show: Drew McIntyre vs. AJ Styles...and Randy Orton & Riddle vs. Xavier Woods & Kofi Kingston. WWE officially announced over the weekend that Roman Reigns will defend the Universal Championship against Rey Mysterio INSIDE Hell In A Cell. NXT TakeOver: In Your House went down last night... Karrion Kross turned away four challengers in the main event to retain the NXT Championship. He choked out Kyle O'Reilly for the win...swooping in as O'Reilly appeared to be close to tapping out Adam Cole. Also last night, Raquel Gonzalez pinned Ember Moon to hold onto the NXT Women's Championship. North American Champ Bronson Reed & the NXT Tag Champs MSK beat Legado Del Fantasma to retain their titles. The only new champion crowned last night was LA Knight. He's now only the fifth man in history to hold the Million Dollar Championship after he beat Cameron Grimes in a Ladder Match. Also, Xia Li pinned Mercedes Martinez. Martinez went looking for revenge right after the match. She went after Li with a steel chair, but the leader of Tian Sha proved tougher. She put a choke hold on Martinez and tossed her from the stage down to the floor. The show ended with GM William Regal in the parking lot...saying he thinks it's time for a change, and then walking away. NXT is promoting a follow-up on Regal's comments for Tuesday's show. He pinned Moose with the One Winged Angel in the main event of Saturday's Against All Odds show. The show was held at Daily's Place...to prevent interference by the Good Brothers and Sami Callihan. But that didn't account for the Young Bucks. They ran out after referee Brian Hebner was knocked down. The Bucks hit some superkicks and a BTE Trigger on Moose...and Kenny took it from there. Callihan actually showed up in Daily's Place...right after the match...and went after Omega. Omega was able to escape. Then, Don Callis FIRED Callihan. Impact went the extra mile over the weekend - pulling Callihan's profile from its website, unfollowing him on Twitter. Callihan tweeted “I'll see you on Thursday”. Getting back to Against All Odds...Deonna Purrazzo pinned Rosemary to retain the Knockouts Title. Joe Doering PINNED Satoshi Kojima with a powerbomb. Violent By Design also held onto the Impact Tag Titles...as Rhino & Deaner beat Crazzy Steve & Black Taurus. W. Morrissey used a series of powerbombs to pin Rich Swann. A 5-Way X-Division #1 Contender Match ended in a “no contest” after Madman Fulton took out everyone other than his pal Ace Austin. Fire n' Flava beat Kimber Lee & Susan to retain the Knockouts Tag Titles. Finally...Tenille Dashwood used a rollup to pin Jordynne Grace. Grace had gotten preoccupied with yelling at Rachael Ellering, who cut off Kaleb (With A K)'s attempted interference. After the match, Grace yelled at Ellering some more...and hit Kaleb with a Michinoku Driver. (STINGER: ROH) Ring Of Honor has added EC3 vs. Flip Gordon to its Best In The World pay per view, which is coming up on July 11th. WWE NXT is back In Your House with another NXT TakeOver: In Your House, this Sunday streaming live on Peacock! Can Raquel Gonzales fend off Ember Moon and retain her title? Will Mercedes Martinez be able to stop the terror of Xia Li? Who will take home all the gold when North American Champion Bronson Reed and the NXT Tag Team Champions MSK put their titles on the line against Legado del Fantasma in a winner take all 6 man tag team match? WWE Hall of Famer “ For the first time in over 20 years, the Million Dollar Championship is on the line in a ladder match. Will it be Cameron Grimes or LA Knight that take home the legendary title? Karrion Kross finds himself in an almost impossible situation as he defends his title in a Fatal Five-way match. Johnny Gargano, Adam Cole, Pete Dunne, and Kyle O'Reilly all look to get their hands on Kross' coveted title. Who will walk out victorious? Can Kross overcome the insane odds stacked against him? Find out the answers to all of these questions and so much more tonight on In This Very Ring.
Going over the card for tonight's rushed Takeover card. A list of matches that look good on paper but are honestly super predictable in their outcomes. Should be an easy night for the Braester! A swerve could be possible for the main event but I see Trips and company sticking with the Karrion Kross experiment. Having Cole, O'Reilly, Gargano and Dunne in the same match guarantees the main event to be great. Raquel Gonzalez defends the NXT Women's title at Takeover for the first time against Ember Moon. Also Cameron Grimes and LA Knight battle in a ladder match for the affection of Ted Dibiase as his Million Dollar Championship hangs in the balance.

SiriusXM Canada Host/Producer/Operator Bilal Vakani and Second City's Daniel Shehori preview WWE NXT TakeOver: In Your House. In what should be a short but strong show. NXT Champion Karrion Kross with Scarlett vs. Kyle O'Reilly vs. Adam Cole vs. Johnny Gargano vs. Pete Dunne in a Fatal 5-Way Match that we can only see two men winning and the other going to Raw to Smackdown shortly after if not both! NXT Women's Champion Raquel Gonzalez vs. Ember Moon in a match where it is very unlikely the championship will be changing hands. NXT North American Champion Bronson Reed & NXT Tag Team Champions MSK vs. Legado del Fantasma in a Winner Take All Six-Man Tag that could be match of the night. Cameron Grimes vs. LA Knight in a Ladder Match for the Million Dollar Championship. While we love Cameron Grimes he will not be going straight to the moon as it seems he has found his own niche that doesn't fit with the gimmick at hand. Mercedes Martinez vs. Xia Li in a match that hopefully lifts Xia closer to a top title run. While Mercedes should also be used in a bigger capacity.

Host "The Man They Call" Meathead has joining him once again Matthew Thomas to talk about Million Dollar Championship, Cameron Grimes vs L.A. Knight, Million Dollar Man, Lio Rush retires, Peacock on Samsung plus a NXT review and more for Wednesday June 9th 2021
With NXT's second major event of 2021 set for Sunday, host Adam Silverstein breaks down the entire NXT TakeOver: In Your House card with predictions for each match in this special ultimate preview. Is it time for Karrion Kross to drop the NXT title and move to the main roster? Was the six-man "winners take all" double title match the right decision for Bronson Reed, MSK and Legado del Fantasma? Does Mercedes Martinez vs. Xia Li even belong on the card? Plus, why picking the Raquel Gonzalez-Ember Moon women's title bout and Cameron Grimes-LA Knight ladder match for the Million Dollar Championship are absolute no brainers.
