WWE SmackDown 3/31/23 review with JDfromNY on Off The Script. The final episode of WWE SmackDown for March 31st, 2023, the night before WrestleMania 39 will see Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns come face-to-face with Cody Rhodes one last time ahead of their title clash this Sunday. That confrontation comes after "The American Nightmare" handed The Bloodline's Solo Sikoa his first pinfall defeat on WWE's main roster this past Monday on WWE Raw. Reigns and Rhodes have yet to get physical on the road to WrestleMania, but that could all change tonight, with emotions bound to be running high just 48 hours before they step into the ring for their championship encounter at SoFi Stadium. The André the Giant Battle Royal is set to return this evening. That memorial bout was previously a part of WrestleMania, but it has recently been bumped to the episode of SmackDown"that broadcasts on the Friday before the actual Wrestlemania main cards. Last year, Madcap Moss emerged victorious after he lastly eliminated Finn Bálor. Moss will enter this year's over-the-top-rope elimination match, as well as notable names such as former WWE Champion Bobby Lashley, 2021 King of the Ring winner Xavier Woods, two-time World Heavyweight Champion Dolph Ziggler, and 2016 André the Giant Battle Royal winner Baron Corbin. Lastly, Drew McIntyre and Sheamus, who are set to challenge GUNTHER for the WWE Intercontinental Championship in a triple threat match at WrestleMania 39, will battle Imperium's Ludwig Kaiser and Giovanni Vinci. That tag team bout takes place just one week after things got heated between "The Celtic Warrior" and the former WWE Champion during the contract signing for their three-way title collision.

(STINGER: WWE) Tonight's NXT will have the first fallout from TakeOver 36… PLUS, the finals of the NXT Breakout Tournament: Carmelo Hayes vs. Odyssey Jones...Timothy Thatcher vs. Ridge Holland...and Hit Row vs. Legado Del Fantasma. Last night's Raw put a number of storylines into motion...leading to three pretty big matches being announced for next week. The Miz ambushed John Morrison, putting an end to their partnership. Those two men will meet in a match on next week's Raw. The breakup went down after Xavier Woods beat Miz. Morrison tried to spray Woods with a drip-stick...but got Miz instead. Doudrop formally cut ties with Eva Marie - although she's keeping the name for some reason. Eva attacked Doudrop backstage to seal the split. Those two are also set for a match on next week's Raw. Last night's show opened with the NEW United States Champion Damian Priest confronting WWE Champion Bobby Lashley. That eventually led to Priest & Drew McIntyre taking on Lashley & Sheamus. Lashley walked out on his partner...and Sheamus was pinned after a Claymore from McIntyre. So, Lashley will face Sheamus in a non-title match on next week's Raw. The celebration for the NEW Raw Women's Champion Charlotte Flair was interrupted by Alexa Bliss...but she only wanted to say “Hi”. As for the former champ, Nikki A.S.H. tagged with Rhea Ripley and beat Nia Jax & Shayna Baszler. Ripley pinned Baszler with the Riptide. Riddle pinned AJ Styles with Bro Derek to win last night's main event. Also, Karrion Kross - with some snazzy new entrance gear - beat Ricochet. Some details are emerging about the frustrating problems for the live fans in attendance at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas for SummerSlam. At one point during the show, the stadium's cashless payment system went down, leaving fans unable to buy ANY concessions. This was part of a nationwide outage to the credit card processor TSYS. PetCo Park, the home of the San Diego Padres, was also affected. (STINGER: AEW) An indoor mask mandate will be in effect for all three shows AEW is running at the Now Arena outside Chicago...culminating in the All Out pay per view. The order covering all of Cook County, Illinois went into effect on Monday...in response to an increase in COVID-19 cases. Dissension in Dark Order! Colt Cabana, Alan “5” Angels & Evil Uno lost to Death Triangle in the main event of last night's AEW Dark: Elevation. A reversal late in the match led to Uno delivering a forearm strike to Angels...and Angels later took the pin. After the match, Uno was clearly upset at Angels. Cabana and the rest of Dark Order had to step in to cool off the situation. No rest for Angels. He's back in action TONIGHT on Dark...against Dante Martin. Also on tonight's Dark…Orange Cassidy, Chuck Taylor & Wheeler Yuta vs. Matt Hardy & TH2. Cassidy, Taylor & Yuta beat TH2 & The Blade on last night's Elevation. Cassidy pinned The Blade. (STINGER: New Japan) New Japan is running four straight days at Korakuen Hall starting Tuesday. IWGP World Heavyweight Champion Shingo Takagi and BUSHI are NOT on any of the cards after they tested positive for COVID-19 last week. Neither are six other wrestlers pulled from shows last week due to their contact with Takagi and BUSHI: Tetsuya Naito, SANADA, EVIL, Yujiro Takahashi, Gedo, and Dick Togo. This week's shows will feature the debuts of two NEW Young Lions. Kosei Fujita and Ryohei Oiwa. They'll face one another on all four shows this week. (STINGER: ROH) Two women are now in the semifinals of Ring Of Honor's women's title tournament. On this past weekend's ROH TV, Rok-C beat Quinn McKay...and Miranda Alize beat Nicole Savoy. SiriusXM Canada Host/Producer/Operator Bilal Vakani and Second City's Daniel Shehori preview WWE SummerSlam 2021. Despite some great promos between them it seems Universal Champion Roman Reigns will most likely hold on to the gold against John Cena. Raw Women's Champion Nikki A.S.H. vs. Rhea Ripley vs. Charlotte Flair in a Triple Threat Match might be the last chance to save the Rhea Ripley character. It is the battle of the spears as WWE Champion Bobby Lashley faces Goldberg in what we hope is a short match without a new champion. SmackDown Tag Team Champions The Usos take on Rey & Dominik Mysterio. It seems the only logical progression is to have the Mysteiro's lose and breakup either on the night or in the weeks to follow. SmackDown Women's Champion Bianca Belair vs. Sasha Banks is still happening and we are hoping Bianca brings some backup. Edge vs. Seth Rollins in a match that really should have drawn more on their history but still could give us two wrestlers that should main event in the near future. United States Champion Sheamus vs. Damian Priest should mark a title change that solidified Priest as a mid-carder on the rise. Drew McIntyre vs. Jinder Mahal hopefully with less silliness and just less in general. Alexa Bliss vs. Eva Marie should not be in doubt but while we are talking about it: they need to change Alexa's gimmick ASAP! Raw Tag Team Champions AJ Styles & Omos vs. RK-Bro in the biggest toss up of the night that could end in a RKO for Riddle either way.
This week on WWE RAW, the red brand made the final stop before SummerSlam, Randy Orton battled Omos, and WWE Champion Bobby Lashley faced off with Goldberg ahead of their match on Sunday. We break it all down with Colin Tessier and John Clark.

On this episode of Keep It Real 365. Y'all know the drill. I run down everything that happened on Raw or the lack thereof. This show lacks creativity, common logic, and passion weekly. Listen, if you like this show, then that's fine that you. But like I say during my review, my patience is running thin in talking about this show because I feel like I'm wasting my time. If WWE doesn't care, then why should I? Alexa Bliss was in action and so were too ''we want Wyatt'' chants. Baron Corbin, a SmackDown superstar, appeared on this show. Why? Matt Riddle thought Randy Orton and him were gonna reunite again. The funny thing is, Randy Orton had other plans. And those plans are about SummerSlam. Nikki Ash, aka your Raw Women's Champion, was in action. MVP and WWE Champion Bobby Lashley cut a promo on Bill Goldberg heading towards SummerSlam. And so much more, so tap in and enjoy! Listen and subscribe at www.JustProWrestlingNews.com I'm Matt Carlins and this is JUST Pro Wrestling News for Monday, August 9, 2021. This update is brought to you by IndyWrestling.us. (STINGER: WWE) It sounds like there is some validity to reports over the weekend of possible changes tp WWE's NXT brand and developmental system. The reports surfaced following the releases of thirteen performers last Friday. One of those released wrestlers posted a statement over the weekend...and alluded to what's happening behind the scenes. Anthony Henry - who wrestled as Asher Hale in WWE - wrote, “There is a shift happening, within the company, and I no longer fit what they are looking for.” Henry added that he was wrestling through an injury - two herniated disks - during most of his 6-month run in WWE. Another of those wrestlers released Friday, Bronson Reed, posted a message for his fans on social media Sunday night. The Australian super-heavyweight talked about his reaction to being let go. (Reed WWE Release Reax) That clip from the video posted to Bronson Reed's Twitter.

With SiriusXM Canada Host/Producer/Operator Bilal Vakani and Second City's Daniel Shehori. In what should not be the main event WWE Champion Bobby Lashley will likely defend against Kofi Kingston if rumours of Goldberg's return are to be believed. Although a Big E cash in on fellow New Day friend and now WWE Champion Kofi Kingston would be great. In what should be the main event Universal Champion Roman Reigns faces Edge. While Seth Rollins cashing in on a champion Edge is interesting, so is a winner like Big E or another face trying and failing to cash in on Roman. So the big dog will likely keep the big belt. The Women's Money in the Bank will feature Alexa Bliss, Nikki A.S.H., Auska, Naomi, Liv Morgan, Zelina Vega, Natalya and Tamina. While the Women's Tag Team Champions seem like filler as does much of the field here. Alexa Bliss, Nikki and Liv Morgan are the any superstars with any build going into this with Alexa seeming to be the only one who could likely become champion via this briefcase. Aside from Kevin Owens, anyone in the men's Money in The Bank match could win it: Riddle, Ricochet, John Morrison, Big E, Drew McIntyre, The King of Strong Style or Seth Rollins. Riddle and Big E would make the most sense. Raw Women's Champion Rhea Ripley should defend her title vs Charlotte Flair. Raw Tag Team Champions AJ Styles & Omos vs. The Viking Raiders should be on the kickoff show. SmackDown Tag Team Champion Rey & Dominik Mysterio vs. The Usos should not be on the kickoff show.
Listen and subscribe at www.JustProWrestlingNews.com I'm Matt Carlins and this is JUST Pro Wrestling News for Tuesday, July 13, 2021. An iconic figure in pro wrestling during the 1980's has died. “Mr. Wonderful” Paul Orndorff was a powerful and athletic force during his prime. He racked up a number of championship reigns across multiple territories...prior to his arrival in the World Wrestling Federation in 1983. He was part of the main event at WrestleMania I...and became a key rival during Hulk Hogan's first reign as WWF Champion. Injuries shortened Orndorff's career. He did wrestle a bit for WCW during the 90's...and later worked backstage. Orndorff's family announced his passing on Monday. Paul Orndorff was 71. (STINGER: WWE) The NXT Championship is on the line tonight. Karrion Kross will defend against Johnny Gargano. Samoa Joe will be the special guest referee. Also tonight, the first match in the NXT Breakout Tournament: Ikeman Jiro vs. Duke Hudson. Also, Sarray vs. Gigi Dolin. A big upset on last night's Raw. Xavier Woods surprised WWE Champion Bobby Lashley with a small package to get the pin in a non-title match. Raw Women's Champ Rhea Ripley won a non-title match over Natalya, finishing her off with the Riptide. Charlotte Flair attacked Ripley's knee after the match. Sheamus pinned Humberto Carrillo with the Brogue Kick to retain the United States Championship. Ricochet beat John Morrison in a Falls Count Anywhere match. Ricochet finished him off with a splash from the top rope through Morrison AND the ladder bridge he was laying on. Ivar pinned one half of the Raw Tag Champs, AJ Styles. The other half of the Viking Raiders wasn't as fortunate. Erik was pinned by Omos in what was the first singles match for Omos on the main roster. Nikki Cross - or Nikki ASH - won a 4-Way over Asuka, Naomi and Alexa Bliss. Eva Maria and...Doudrop were ringside for this. Alexa got in Eva Marie's face at one point. Doudrop sent Alexa over the barricade...and then we found that Alexa had disappeared. Anyway, Nikki got the pin after a rollup on Asuka. Jinder Mahal THOUGHT he had stolen Drew McIntyre's family sword last week. But it turns out, he just had the “rental”. McIntyre took out his revenge on Mahal's motorcycle. It was announced that the Viking Raiders will challenge AJ Styles & Omos for the Raw Tag Team Titles AT Money In The Bank. That match had been announced for next Monday's Raw. Natalya has been added to the women's Money In The Bank ladder match. There's only one open spot left to be announced. (STINGER: AEW) This may sound like a formality, but AEW officially announced the signings of the Varsity Blonds: Brian Pillman Jr. and Griff Garrison on Monday. On last night's AEW Dark: Elevation… The Blonds and Billy & Colten Gunn beat The Acclaimed and Chaos Project. Brain Pillman Jr. pinned Luther with his top rope clothesline. After the match, The Acclaimed made it clear they want a showdown against the Blonds. Jora Johl joined up with the Hardy Family Office, tagging up with Private Party against Orange Cassidy, Chuck Taylor & Wheeler Yuta. Yuta caught Johl in a rollup to get the pin. Jungle Boy reversed a rollup into one of his own to beat Lee Johnson...and Darby Allin pinned Angelico with the Coffin Drop in the main event. (STINGER: ROH) Ring Of Honor will hold its Death Before Dishonor pay per view in Lakeland, Florida on Sunday, September 12th. On this past weekend's ROH TV...Flip Gordon submitted PJ Black with the STF...and La Faccion Ingobernable's Dragon Lee & Kenny King won a 3-Way Match over Violence Unlimited's Brody King & Tony Deppen and The Foundation's Jay Lethal & Jonathan Gresham. King pinned Gresham. Battleground Championship Wrestling announced it booked the former Buddy Murphy for its show at Philadelphia's 2300 Arena on September 18th. He's set to go one-on-one against Brian Cage. The former Alexander Wolfe is being promoted for wXw's 20th anniversary show on August 7th. That's JUST Pro Wrestling News for Tuesday, July 13. The other major surprise at Best In The World. The arrival of Chelsea Green. She's in ROH...and in the upcoming women's championship tournament. The tournament begins on ROH TV the weekend of July 31st. The finals will be part of Death Before Dishonor. LFI's Dragon Lee is once again the TV Champ. He dethroned Tony Deppen. Here is our full uncut interview with WWE Champion Bobby Lashley! The All Mighty is in the middle of the most successful run of his pro wrestling career and it all started when he aligned with MVP. Bobby Lashley sat down with Sportskeeda Wrestling's Rick Ucchino about The Hurt Business, his new escorts, and why he's never had that dream match with Brock Lesnar. Lashley defends the WWE Championship against Drew McIntyre inside the Hell in a Cell this Sunday.
Host of The Bilal Vakani Hour every Tuesday at 8pm ET on SiriusXM 167 Canada Talks Bilal Vakani and Second City's Daniel Shehori preview WWE Hell in The Cell. We remain disappointed by the entire card starting with WWE Champion Bobby Lashley vs. Drew McIntyre in a Hell in a Cell Match which may be the main event after Roman Reigns defended his WWE Title in the Cell on Smackdown against Rey Mysterio. Rhea Ripley vs. Charlotte Flair for the Raw Women's Championship Match should have been built around their deep history rather than the current narrative. SmackDown Women's Champion Bianca Belair vs. Bayley will take place in a Hell In a Cell Match which could be match of the night but again lacks meaningful build. Alexa Bliss vs. Shayna Baszler in a rivalry that has been taken way too seriously. Cesaro vs. Seth Rollins is likely the match Bilal is most excited about due to an average build which is the best we can hope for apparently. Kevin Owens vs. Sami Zayn go at it again because why not? We also look ahead to a hint that AEW maybe coming to our favourite city ever Toronto! Plus is WWE Smackdown better than AEW Dynamite and if so can it stay that way?

(STINGER: WWE) NXT arrives in its new Tuesday time slot tonight. Expect plenty of fallout from last week's 2-night TakeOver. MSK will defend the NXT Tag Titles for the first time against Drake Maverick & Killian Dane. Also announced late last night - Leon Ruff vs. Isaiah SWERVE Scott. An eight-person mixed tag: Dexter Lumis, Bronson Reed, Shotzi Blackheart & Ember Moon vs. The Way: Johnny Gargano, Candice LeRae, Austin Theory & Indi Hartwell. The now-undisputed Cruiserweight Champion Santos Escobar has issued an open challenge. We're being promised an appearance by the new NXT Women's Champ Raquel Gonzalez...and a look at what happened after TakeOver Night 2 went off the air. Plus, the debut of Franky Monet. It's pretty clear that it's the former Taya Valkyrie. Drew McIntyre will get another shot at WWE Champion Bobby Lashley at WrestleMania Backlash. McIntyre won a 3-Way in last night's main event. Pinning Randy Orton after a Claymore that his just as Orton was covering Braun Strowman after an RKO. After the match, McIntyre was attacked by Mace and T-Bar...as MVP looked on. Some notable returns on the Raw After WrestleMania. Charlotte Flair was back...alluding to the reasons she missed WrestleMania...while not saying it outright. Later, Charlotte took down BOTH the Raw Women's Champ Rhea Ripley and Asuka, ruining their WrestleMania rematch. Ivar returned...and as a result, so did the Viking Raiders. They beat Cedric Alexander and Shelton Benjamin. As for Lashley, he opened the show by mauling Riddle in a non-title match. The Miz got his feet on the ropes to pin Damien Priest and win a handicap match that also included John Morrison. Mandy Rose & Dana Brooke RETREATED from a match against Nia Jax & Shayna Baszler...and were counted out. Bray Wyatt returned to the Firefly Fun House. Alexa Bliss checked in from her swingset backstage and introduced a stuffed doll named Lily. The biggest debut on the Raw After Mania was at the announce desk. Adnan Virk is now on play-by-play...alongside Corey Graves and Byron Saxton. Virk jumped over from ESPN. He replaces Tom Phillips. WWE said Phillips will be the new host of 205 Live, and work on other projects. As for Samoa Joe, WWE said he “remains part of the WWE talent roster.” Last night's Raw was the first at the new home of the ThunderDome at the University Of South Florida's Yuengling Center. (STINGER: Impact) There will be a retirement ceremony for Jazz on Thursday's Impact Wrestling. Jazz lost a Career vs. Title match to Knockouts Champ Deonna Purrazzo on Saturday's Hardcore Justice show. Impact released some comments from Jazz just moments after that match. (Jazz Post Retirement Match) That clip from Impact's social media. Jazz's time in Impact may be winding down, but her career in pro wrestling is NOT over. Monday night, it was announced that Jazz will challenge Trish Adora for the Pan Afrikan World Diaspora Championship at the “Black Girl Magik” show outside New York City coming up in June. (STINGER: AEW) We've got a couple matches announced last night for tonight's AEW Dark: Dark Order's Alex Reynolds vs. Ryan Nemeth... Plus, The Factory's Aaron Solow vs. Fuego Del Sol... DDT Pro's Konosuke Takeshita made his AEW TV debut last night...with a win over Danny Limelight on Dark: Elevation. Mike Sydal rolled up MT Nakazawa for a win. NEXT Monday's Elevation will have Kenny Omega in action, tagging with Takeshita and Nakazawa against Matt & Mike Sydal...and Danny Limelight. Also last night, LEGIT Leyla Hirsch submitted Shanna...and Ethan Page & Scorpio Sky beat Joey Janela & Sonny Kiss. A new match added to Wednesday's Dynamite. Kris Statlander will make her in-ring return from an ACL injury...taking on Amber Nova. (STINGER: ROH) On this past weekend's Ring Of Honor TV...Jay Lethal & Jonathan Gresham beat Bandido & Flamita, who were NOT on the same page toward the end of that match. Also, Rocky Romero beat Delirious in a Pure Rules Match. That's JUST Pro Wrestling News for Tuesday, April 13. Our next update comes your way tomorrow morning, so be sure to subscribe to this feed. WWE's Raw and SmackDown rosters back in front of LIVE fans for the first time in over a year. Around 25,000 fans are expected to be in attendance for both nights. WWE made it official yesterday - the main event closing tonight's card will be Sasha Banks defending the SmackDown Women's Championship against Bianca Belair. The opening match will be WWE Champion Bobby Lashley defending against Drew McIntyre. Two heavily hyped in-ring debuts. Grammy Award winner Bad Bunny, tagging with Damien Priest against The Miz and John Morrison... And Omos, teaming with AJ Styles, to challenge Xavier Woods and Kofi Kingston for the Raw Tag Titles. Also tonight, Seth Rollins vs. Cesaro... Braun Strowman vs. Shane McMahon in a Steel Cage. And a Tag Team Turmoil Match - Natalya & Tamina vs. Mandy Rose & Dana Brooke vs. the Riott Squad vs. Naomi & Lana vs. Carmella & Billie Kay. The winner gets a shot at the WWE Women's Tag Titles held by Nia Jax & Shayna Baszler on Night 2 of Mania. Expect to see Hulk Hogan and Titus O'Neil. They are the co-hosts of WrestleMania. The kickoff show starts at 7PM Eastern. The main card begins at 8PM Eastern on Peacock in the United States and the WWE Network everywhere else. Here's something to get your imagination running for tonight - Becky Lynch STRONGLY implied in a social media post Friday that she COULD show up for Night 1 of WrestleMania. A lot Mania hype on last night's SmackDown, but also TWO big matches: Dolph Ziggler and Robert Roode survived a FATAL 4-Way to retain their Smackdown Tag Titles. Jey Uso won the Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal - last eliminating Shinsuke Nakamura. Saturday is another busy day for the independent promotions in Tampa for WrestleMania week - including a handful of shows that will go head-to-head with Night 1 of Mania. (STINGER: Impact) We have an Impact Plus exclusive show this afternoon - Hardcore Justice - starting at 3PM Eastern. Here's what's on the card: Jazz's CAREER is on the line as she challenges for Deonna Purrazzo's Knockouts Championship. A Hardcore War: Tommy Dreamer and THREE mystery partners vs. Violent By Design: Eric Young, Joe Doering, Deaner and Rhino. A #1 Contender Knockouts Weapons Match: Alisha vs. Rosemary vs. Havok vs. Tenille Dashwood vs. Susan vs. Jordynne Grace. X-Division Champ Ace Austin, TJP and Josh Alexander each must find a partner for a 3-way tag team match. Brian Myers vs. Jake Something in a Hardcore Blindfold Match. Shera vs. Hernandez in a CHAIRLY LEGAL Match. And Doc Gallows vs. Black Taurus. CMLL announced Friday that it's parting ways with Bandido, who's also signed with Ring Of Honor. (STINGER: New Japan) On last night's New Japan Strong...FOUR first round matches in the U.S. version of the New Japan Cup tournament. Brody King beat Chris Dickinson. Kevin Kelly during commentary did acknowledge King and Dickinson's new alliance in Ring Of Honor. Hikuleo used a pre-match ambush to grab an early advantage over Fred Rosser, but that did not lead to an easy win. This was a hard-hitting contest that Hikuleo eventually won. FILTHY Tom Lawlor choked out Ren Narita. And Lio Rush beat Clark Connors. Semifinals next week: King vs. Rush...and Hikuleo vs. Lawlor. (STINGER: AEW) AEW ran its first-ever non-televised event last night. And fans at Daily's Place in Jacksonville got to see the AEW debut of Konosuke Takeshita. He tagged with Kenny Omega, Michael Nakazawa and the Young Bucks. Takeshita is only 25 years old, but he's already held multiple titles in his home promotion DDT Pro. This appears nothing more than a short visit to the U.S. DDT Pro announced early last week that Takeshita would be away from the promotion this month. DDT Pro said he'll return for a show in early May. That's JUST Pro Wrestling News for Saturday, April 10. Listen and subscribe at www.JustProWrestlingNews.com I'm Matt Carlins and this is JUST Pro Wrestling News for Tuesday, March 9, 2021. A special welcome to those of you listening on OccupyProWrestling.com. If you want to bring our updates to your website...email us: desk@justprowrestlingnews.com. Results from Monday night's Raw and Ring Of Honor's weekend TV are straight ahead in this update but first… (STINGER: WWE) We're learning more about the WWE Network's jump to Peacock in the United States. In a news release Monday, we learned there will NOT be an automatic migration for existing network subscribers. They'll need to sign up for Peacock Premium on their own. Peacock is running a special offer for the next month - FOUR months of Peacock Premium access for $9.99. If you have Comcast or Cox cable, you may already get Peacock Premium for free. WWE's Peacock Era begins March 18th. There will be an “overlap” period. On Monday, we learned that'll last a little over two weeks - ending on April 4th. That's when the existing WWE Network app will cease operation. We also got more details about the Network content on Peacock. Not everything currently on the Network will be available when it launches on Peacock. WWE said Peacock is promising to have the entire network archive “available to stream on demand before SummerSlam”. At launch, the WWE Network on Peacock is promising every pay per view over the last calendar year... NXT episodes the day after they air... Raw and SmackDown episodes 30 days after they air… Plus, WWE original programming and documentaries. Live fans WILL be in attendance at WrestleMania. WWE announced tickets go on sale next Tuesday. There will also be an exclusive presale opportunity for fans who register. Last night's Raw opened with the new WWE Champion Bobby Lashley defending against The Miz. Miz lasted a little longer than he did last Monday, but eventually submitted to the Hurt Lock. Drew McIntyre is being called the “presumptive” next challenger to Lashley. Drew brawled backstage with Sheamus. They later met in a No DQ Match...that ended when both men ran into one another while carrying steel ring steps. The referee determined that Sheamus could not continue and called off the match. Randy Orton and AJ Styles went at it in the main event. The end came when Alexa Bliss appeared on the ‘tron. Fire shot from the ring posts...Randy started to cough up BLACK GOO again...caught a Phenomenal Forearm from AJ and got pinned. Braun Strowman got an apology from Shane McMahon. Later, Shane not-so-subtly implied that Braun is stupid. That led to Braun chasing Shane backstage, where Shane was able to lose him. Reginald resurfaced on Raw, in the corner of the women's tag champs Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler. Reginald was fired by Carmella in Friday's SmackDown. Jax and Baszler successfully defended their tag titles against Naomi and Lana. Jax pinned Lana. The New Day will challenge The Hurt Business for the Raw Tag Titles on next Monday's Raw. Xavier Woods beat Shelton Benjamin in a one-on-one match last night. Another title match made for next Monday: Riddle defends the U.S. Title against Mustafa Ali. Wednesday's NXT is now promoting TWO major announcements from GM William Regal. (STINGER: ROH) Jay Lethal will challenge Rush for the Ring Of Honor World Championship at the ROH 19th Anniversary pay per view on Friday, March 26th. Lethal earned the shot by pinning Matt Taven in a 4-way on ROH's weekend TV. A distraction by Vita VonStarr left Taven open for Lethal Injection. Jay Briscoe and EC3 were also in the match, but they brawled all the way backstage. Also on that show - Dalton Castle essentially saved his ROH career. He used a rollup to beat Josh Woods in a Pure Rules Match. After the match, Woods was confronted by his old tag partner Silas Young. But it's not clear if they'll reunite. (STINGER: New Japan) The New Japan Cup rolls on this morning with a pair of first round matches. Wednesday's show will have THREE first round matches - Jay White vs. Toa Henare...Yujiro Takahashi vs. YOSHI-HASHI...and David Finlay vs. Chase Owens. A couple title changes in other Japanese promotions over the weekend… There are new GHC Tag Team Champions. Katsuhiko Nakajima & Masa Kitamiya dethroned Takashi Sugiura & Kazushi Sakuraba at Pro-Wrestling NOAH's show on Sunday. The Open The Twin Gate Unified Tag Title changed hands in Dragon Gate's show on Sunday. Masaaki Mochizuki & Takashi Yoshida are the new champs after beating BxB Hulk & KAI.
