Note: Make sure to listen until you get to the second topic where we get into the meat of exploring leadership, it is worth the wait. As we begin to move into the winter months we are going to most likely have to face another set of challenges with darkness, cold, and additional loneliness due to the pandemic and social distancing. The three of us explore not only the "tips and tricks" of combating loneliness. We all know that winter is coming, so we need to begin being active both in connection and in physical activity. Awais helps us to unpack the topic of representation in leadership. We highlight and discuss the power of the leaders that influence or mentor each of us in our own work. We share why they are important to us, what they mean to us, and how it has shaped and impacted our own styles as leaders within the world of medicine and business. Lastly, AJ shares his experience with us in trying to find coupons for pharmaceuticals.

There’s a good chance that you’re not investing in your mental health, your personal development, your physical health or what’s most convenient because you believe it’s irresponsible to do so. Or maybe you do invest money in these things but you feel guilty the whole time you’re doing it! If this sounds familiar, this episode of the podcast will help you to ease some for that guilt and become better with money too! In this episode I also share a journaling exercise that’ll help you to apply what you learn in this episode and redefine what being responsible and irresponsible with money means to you. I recommend listening to the episode before you do this exercise but am also sharing it here so it’s easy for you to complete: Get a piece of paper and draw a line in the middle to create two columns. Write ‘responsible’ at the top of the left hand column and ‘irresponsible’ at the top of the right hand column. Look at your bank statement for the last month and without overthinking, categorise each expense as ‘responsible’ or ‘irresponsible’. Go with your gut instinct on this. Not sure what category to put an expense in? If you feel guilty when you spend money on it, categorise it as ‘irresponsible’. If you don’t feel guilty, categorise it as ‘responsible’. Review your lists and highlight all of the expenses that benefit your life in some way. On a new piece of paper, draw the same two columns as before. Now it’s time to take those same expenses and intentionally categorise them as ‘responsible’ or ‘irresponsible’. Note: Make sure that everything you highlight in Step 3 is included in your ‘responsible’ list as well as anything that you will be spending money on in the future. There should be very few things on your ‘irresponsible’ list and these should be things you never spend money on (just because you put something on your responsible list doesn’t mean you have to start spending money on it). When you spend money on anything that’s on your new ‘responsible’ list, check your guilt at the door. In This Episode You’ll Learn: Why feeling guilty when you spend money won’t help you to manage it better What to do if you’re hoarding money and scared to let it go How to work on your money mindset Why you should stop seeing debt as something to feel ashamed of A practical exercise to help you stop feeling guilty when you spend money Featured In The Episode: Perfectionists Getting Shit Done - our group coaching program FREE 5-Day Overcome Perfectionism Challenge Episode 42: What It’s Really Like To Invest In Yourself Episode 120: How To Uncover The Hidden Money Beliefs That Are Keeping You Stuck Episode 180: Why Your Money Mindset Matters Episode 181: 12 Hidden Money Beliefs That Are Keeping You Broke Join us in Perfectionists Getting Shit Done If you enjoy listening to this podcast, I highly recommend checking out our group coaching program Perfectionists Getting Shit Done. In this SOLO Episode we talk about: How Emily made the Impossible Possible by creating Sundari Swim, a different kind of swimwear brand, Swimwear for the Soul. How to create that brighter future & vision for you: Imagine you are attending a talk as part of a large audience, everyone in the audience, including you, is deeply touched and inspired by what the speaker is saying. that speaker is your future self- ten or 20 years from now: Think about the following: 1. What is the speaker saying that is so captivating/ interesting/ mesmerizing? 2. What about the speaker makes you look up to him/ her? 3. Why do you feel the way you do? How to start putting the wheels in motion: TALK ABOUT your vision A LOT and as if it has already happened. Start speaking the vision to LIFE. Our mind creates all the outcomes we experience in life This is key: “as soon as you believe something isn’t possible, it isn’t possible but the opposite is also true’ If we begin to consciously start managing our minds, we have the ability to create more desired outcomes in our life. Making a decision to become something isn’t just one decision it is in fact 1,000’s of decisions to continue to become it until you achieve it. - Using the example of Airbnb founders There’s a big difference in what you WANT to believe and what you actually believe- because it’s easy to believe something that’ s already happened. It’s much more difficult to believe something that hasn’t happened yet, therefore, this is when Mind Management is crucial to adjusting your mindset (Emily touches briefly on her Mind Management Method— Stay tuned for a future episode with details on the Method & how to apply it to your life) The more you talk to people about your vision, the more likely you can find people to help you. -Especially if your vision is altruistic in nature. Emily Introduces Sundari swim - the brand concept and how it’s so different with crystals and Yantra Yoga Life Path Numbers— for more information or to find out your own life-path number visit www.sundariswim.com Emily’s extremely passionate about this work which is why she has decided to select 2 people to have a free 1:1 session to set the wheels in motion for your personal vision. if you would like to be considered, send her a direct message on Instagram @itsemilythomas and reference this episode & share your vision! Mock Trial Flight School Episode 3 Case Theory and Theme Show Notes In this episode, I help the mock trial participant understand the basic building blocks of case theory and theme. A sound case theory forms the foundation for everything else in a trial, particularly the opening statement and closing argument. Most of the discussion in this episode concerns case theory. A case theory comprises three interrelated parts: · the LEGAL theory, that is the law that entitles you to the relief you are seeking · the FACTUAL theory, that is the story or facts that satisfy your legal theory, and · the PERSUASIVE theory, that is why you should win as a matter of fairness and justice. On the other hand, the case THEME comprises a one-sentence distillation of your case theory that appeals to the jurors’ moral values. The theme might use words to paint a metaphorical picture of the case or may directly appeal to a commonly held belief system. The theme of the O.J. Simpson criminal defense provides a famous example: “If the glove does not fit, you must acquit.” This simple theme summarized the defense case theory that the facts did not add up to prove Simpson’s guilty beyond a reasonable doubt. Note: Make sure the theme cannot be flipped by the opposing side. For example, a justice theme might appeal to both the prosecution and the defense in a criminal case. Part 1: LEGAL THEORY Each side of a case for trial develops a LEGAL theory by doing the necessary legal research to determine all possible laws governing your case. The attorneys pull out the most important legal issues, usually the controverted elements, and incorporates those into the overall case theory. The fact theory should support legal theory. Part 2: FACTUAL THEORY The attorney, working with witnesses, develops a FACTUAL theory by determining what happened. · The following tools help: · Chronologies · Proof Charts · Identifying facts as opposed to conclusions · Thinking about what inferences can be drawn from those facts–both pro and con · Identifying hard facts versus soft facts · Identifying those factual questions that are in dispute and determining how to develop further information about the disputed facts · Thinking about the facts as a story or movie script–what should/would happen in this situation · Thinking about why a jury should believe your story and not the other side’s story Part 3: PERSUASIVE THEORY Attorneys developing a PERSUASIVE theory by thinking about what spin can be put on the facts, within the context of the law, that will appeal to our sense of fairness and justice. The persuasive theory should consider the audience (i.e., the Judge or Jury). The persuasive theory should correlate with the theme. The attorney may discovery a persuasive theory by brainstorming. I like to use a mind map. For example, put a keyword from the persuasive theory or a key fact in the center circle. Then, link additional circles to one another extending out from the center using free word and concept association. Often this exercise leads to creative and compelling ideas. Part 4: A CHECKLIST for developing a CASE THEORY Part 5: Passing the GRANDMOTHER TEST Can a grandmother understand the one-sentence theme? Does the 15-second version of the case theory use simple and powerful language? Are the inferences reasonable? Is the case theory consistent with common sense? Does the case theory square with motives the jury would expect? Can a well-organized and persuasive case mitigate the worst facts against the case theory? --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/bellamy/message

In Episode 27 of An Investors Journey, we go over Cold Calling Basics Step-By-Step - AIJ027! In our opinion, Cold Calling is, in our opinion, one of the best forms of getting leads. Unlike Door Knocking, Cold Calling gives you a million chances at a first impression. You can literally call and screw up the call so many times and as long as you wait a couple of weeks they won't know it was you that called. If you need a list to cold call listen to our episode How To Do Driving For Dollars Step By Step - AIJ023 We love creating our own lists because it usually means less competition. Once you have your list you can send it for skip tracing to https://app.americantracers.com/batchrequests and use the PROMO Code: PRYME to get a massive discount. NOTE: Make sure the address you use for Skip Tracing is the address of the subject property and NOT the mailing address if it's different. Now, that your list has been skipped traced you can start the 4-Step Process to your next deal. Get through the list. If you're scared or nervous of screwing it up just keep in mind that all you must do is just get through the list. Don't worry about what to say or what not to say. Just get through the list. This will help build your confidence by having to speak to so many people that eventually you become numb to Cold Calling. Connect the dots. ONLY after you're ok with #1 you can now move to #2 which is making sure the number goes to the person that owns the house you want to buy. Simple script "Hi, I'm looking for the owner of 123 Elm." Test out different scripts. ONLY if you have gotten through #1 and #2 do you get the privilege to start testing different scripts. There's no one amazing script for every homeowner. Different homeowners respond differently to different scripts. Follow-Up. Once you have gone through the whole list at least once and gotten rid of bad numbers and wrong numbers you should go back through to leave voicemails and text messages. Follow-up is crucial because when you first called you might have gotten them at a bad time and they blew you off. So you want to try again. Planting the seed. When you initially call someone you might get ignored because at the time they were not thinking about selling. But, now you have planted a little seed in their heads of "What-if?". This is why you want to check back with them after a couple of weeks or once a month. Track EVERYTHING! Keep track of how every call goes. This will help you when following up later. You now recall what they said and what script you last used. Different scripts you can use: FREE Home Evaluation: "Hi, I was calling to offer people in your neighborhood a FREE Evaluation for your home. Would you be interested in one?" Direct Approach: "Hello, My name is ____. I'm an investor here in >>your city

Mere days ago, I talked about the launch of the new Epic Games Store and how it could finally be the competition needed to put some heat on Steam's defacto monopoly in PC digital games distribution. Well, the launch hasn't gone so well and many PC gamers are already turning their backs on this burgeoning platform. I talk about the reasons for this, the ones I agree with, the ones I don't and how Epic could maybe turn this around.

How to Launch a Product - A big picture overview - OWAHL #2 Last week on the podcast, Jason and I shared how we make a full time income online. In that episode we broke down our different sources of income but throughout the years our #1 source of income has remained to be our very own products. Today we are going to share how you can launch your very own product and the steps you need to take. In our Homemaking Ministries store, we currently have around 20 products for sale and that number is constantly growing. In the past two years, we have fallen into a good rhythm of doing about two big launches per year (our conference and our academy) with lots of little mini launches throughout the year. How we got started launching our own products My very first product I ever launched was my eBook, Apartment Gardening in 2012 for $5.95 and I was so crazy excited to make $6 here and there. I think in our first year of launching that, we made several hundred dollars and it was amazing. That was actually our first taste of making a little income online and realizing it was possible we could make a part-time income doing this! (We didn't even dream at the time that this would turn into our full time income for our family.) Since 2012, we have launched over 20 products. Some have been huge successes and others have been total flops (we will have to share our biggest flops sometime)! Our Secret Sauce when it comes to launching If we had any "secrets" to share about launching - it would be in scheduling. Over the years we have refined our launch schedule again and again, each time honing it more and more. Now, we plan at least 6 months in advance of any of our big launches. 6 months might sound crazy, but it gives us plenty of time to fit everything in to make a successful launch! (Note: The 6 month plan is for our large products. If you want to launch a little product or get it out there for sale, you don't have to do a big launch like this.) Download our FREE Product Launch Checklist! I know this is a TON of information! So I distilled it all down into a handy printable product launch checklist for you. All you have to do is fill it out for you next product launch and you are well on your way to a successful launch. To download the FREE checklist, simply sign up here and download right away! The Schedule: 6-12 months before: Plan out the initial details including: Date(s) of launch, name of product, URL if needed, etc. 2 - 4 months before: Plan out the big picture for the launch: What the product is, what it will contain, how you will deliver it, etc. Plan out the free opt-in: Start planning now what your free opt-in for your launch will be. Is there an eBook, course, video, email sequence, etc that you can set up to share for free to get people interested in your product coming up? (We will cover launch opt-ins coming up in episode #4 of the podcast.) Plan out your schedule: At this point, at least start planning out your schedule for the launch. Think through things like: What day will it launch? What day does the sale end? Will you do any live workshops or Facebook parties? When will you start offering the free opt-in, etc. Now is also the time to invite affiliates to your launch if you will be doing that. Let them know what your product is, how much their commission will be, when they can promote it, etc. Coming up in episode 3, we will be covering how to work with affiliates on a product launch. Jami Here: This is unrelated, but if you are looking for a good planner, I did a review of all my favorite planners: You can check it out here. 6 - 8 weeks before: Set sales goal: Set some realistic, but high goals for your launch. And then create mini goals within that. So for example, if you want to make $5000 from a launch, how many overall sales is that? What does that break down to each day? How many do you need to sell each day, and so forth. If you are working with a designer, now is the time to get started on your ads and banners for the product. Or if you need anything done for the actual product, eBook cover, video templates, etc then now is the time to get on that as well. Be aware that some designers have a very long lead time on getting started on new projects, so make sure you negotiate that from the beginning. Plan out your promotional material: Along with getting your ads and banners created, now is the time to create your sales video, any sneak peek promotions, Facebook ads set up, line up podcast interviews or guest posts, etc. 4 week before: Four weeks before is the perfect time to launch your freebie! The basic sequence goes like this: make a free offer (a PDF guide, a video, a printable pack, etc) and share it on your blog and social media. Once readers subscribe for that freebie, you can enter them into an email sequence to get to know them more - which eventually leads to the sale of your product! So spend this month focusing on traffic and sending lots of people to your free offer. You will also want to spend this time collecting all your promotional material (ads, banners, videos, etc) and distributing them to your affiliates. If you have a large amount of affiliates, now is a great time to set up a training for your affiliates as well to help them know how to best advertise your products. 2-4 weeks before: Now you are getting down to the wire! Nows the time to set up your sales page, test out your sales links, and more sure everything is working well. You will also want to make sure that all final tweaks to your product are DONE. The last thing you want to do is to be working on your product right up until the minute you actually launch it - believe us - we've been there and it's difficult! If you can get ahead of this stuff, this is also the perfect time to write out all your sales emails for your launch week. This allows you plenty of time to work on perfecting these emails and planning everything out ahead of time. If you are going to throw a FB or Twitter party during your launch week, about a week or two before hand is a great time to invite your readers to the party and start spreading the word. NOTE: Make sure you are in constant contact with your affiliates during this time! Launch Week: Now it's time to SELL! Don't worry - if you can plan things out a little bit ahead of time then you can take a lot of the stress out of launching. When launch week starts you want to kick things off with an email to your entire list letting them know that your item is for sale! Get excited with this announcement email - don't be afraid to let your own personality shine in this email. After this, you will want to send 2-4 more emails this week to your audience! Try to come up with different angles or features you can talk about. Don't just keep saying the same thing over and over again. Mix it up and keep it fun! On your final day: Send up to 3 (or 4!) emails! I know that sounds like a lot. I used to be scared to send 3 emails in a week. But the final sales can will make up to 50% of your sales for that week. So start with 2 emails that final day and work your way up during your next sale. You will want to throw your FB/Twitter party during this week (only if it makes sense for your audience). And of course, you will want to make sure to monitor all customer service emails and issues during this week! Make sure to keep everyone happy while they are trying to get enrolled/buy your product! Your Next Steps: I know this was a TON of information. My intention with this was to give you the BIG picture overview of what it takes to launch a product. But you don't need to tackle all of this at once. On your next launch, add one or two new things in. Make a simpler version of this plan. But important thing is: to plan ahead!! Trust us after dozens of product launches - it MAKES A DIFFERENCE! And don't forget to download our FREE product launch checklist to get going right away! Official Website: http://www.lawabidingbiker.com Podcast-In this episode we start out with a post from a Patron member of Law Abiding Biker private Facebook Group. That private Facebook Group is growing quickly and it is all about bikers helping bikers. The only way to get in is to become a Patron Member of the show. NEW FREE VIDEO-Touch up paint chip or scratch on Harley Davidson Patron member Carl Lingelbach posted a question about motorcycle torque cones for exhaust headers and their effectiveness. He put true dual exhaust on his Harley and now doesn't have enough back pressure and his bike is not performing optimally. Luckily, I had mechanical advisor Oscar on the microphone and he answered this very question. At the end of the day, he's not a big fan and doesn't think that torque cones are all that effective. There are much better options for performance out there like getting other exhaust aside from true dual pipes. You'll just have to listen to get all the details. Next we cover an email from Nora Dalton and she asks: I have a 2014 FLHTK with a compensator noise. I'm talking with HOG members with the same compensator noise can you tell us what is going on with the Harley Davidson compensator problem? Our Original Response: Listen and you might also hear the chain whirring around in the primary. Pull the primary cover off & replace the OEM Primary Chain Auto Adjuster with a new Auto Tensioner. A few have experienced that the auto tensioner was bad or needed to be quickly adjusted. What your hearing could be a primary chain with slack in it. So as the bike idles you hear the chain whirring or rubbing against the inside of primary. Then the compensator eventually gets a slack slap (knock). Of course we discuss this in more length, so listen in. Next we cover a voicemail we received from Martin Royal: Martin is wondering if he can use the Vance & Hines Fuelpak 3 (FP3) motorcycle fuel injection tuner (EFI) with his stock Harley head pipes if he removes the catalytic converters (cats). He related information from Vance & Hines that the stock O2 sensors are too close on the stock Harley head pipes and he will get cross-talk of some sort & that the auto tune function could then not be used. Note: Make certain you check your local, State, & Federal laws before removing catalytic converters from motorcycle exhaust pipes. Oscar and I give our personal opinion and our real world experience on this matter. Quite a few of us are using the Vance & Hines Fuelpak 3 on our current Harleys in just the manner Martin describes in his voicemail and have absolutely no problem with the functionality of the FP3 and our bikes are running great! And yes, we run the auto tune function on the FP3 and it works great! Certainly you could buy Vance and Hines head pipes or another manufacturer if you choose and they don't have catalytic converters and the O2 sensors are in a bit different location. Next we cover and email from Peter Ried Fort Hood, TX: (stationed there) I have been a member of your youtube channel and facebook page for Law Abiding Biker. After watching your videos and doing my own research I purchased my First Harley today. I haven't ridden a bike in years and love my 2014 Street Glide. Just wanted you to know that your information and videos is what put me back on a bike. I am stationed at Fort Hood. I at cant wait for more information on your forums. Keep up the great work Next we cover and email from Rory Seldon of Walnut, CA: Just wanted to drop a note and say that I tried to install the Hogtunes without your video and wasted several hours. Once I purchased the video, installation was a breeze. Great job and well worth the money!!!! Next we cover and email from Jon Philbrick: Thanks for the bundles of information you have passed on throughout the year. You are appreciated and looked to as a source of information. I know it takes more time than I think I could expend to put together your programs for us bikers (and other interested parties), but there are those among us that acknowledge your extra effort, and all useful. So as this year comes to an end and another one is coming face to face with us, I wish you and yours a most Merry Christmas and a great new year. May you be in health and continue on with your enthusiasm...and great informative emails/videos.
