Welcome to our motorsports podcast where we discuss F1, IndyCar, IMSA, NASCAR, our own racing adventures, and some other adventures!Formula One has kicked off their season with a wet and wild opening race in Melbourne, Australia. Lando Norris and McLaren take the victory and make it known that their car is the car to beat this year. We'll see if other teams can catch up in development. Max Verstappen and Red Bull continue to show a strong performance despite the 2nd Red Bull being once again off the pace and nowhere. With that said, there were some mechanical gremlins that hindered Liam Lawson's track time in FP3 so it's not just the driver to blame for this performance.IMSA had another edition of the Sebring 12 Hours with Porsche standing on top of the podium in both GTP and GTD Pro! They continue to show why they are the team to beat in these longer endurance races especially in GTP. BMW and Acura were quick as well this weekend in GTP and were giving the Porsches a good battle all race. Aston Martin made its GTP debut with its highly anticipated Valkyrie! Although finishing the race 2 laps down to the leader it did finish the race which means plenty of data to sift through and the car is robust enough to handle Sebring's bumps!In NASCAR, Josh Berry takes the win at Las Vegas.F1 is back to back with race weekends as they head to China next. NASCAR heads to Homestead, FL and IndyCar is back for round 2 at Thermal Club in California.Coming up this weekend: NASCAR at Homestead, F1 in China, and IndyCar at Thermal.

As the summer break ended, all teams were eager to hit the ground running, aiming to challenge Max in the driver's championship and make a mark in the constructors' standings. From the outset, McLaren emerged as a formidable force with their new upgrades, impressing from the first practice session and never looking back. While the spotlight was on Max at his home race, the Dutch crowd found themselves unexpectedly cheering for Lando Norris, who secured his second career victory in a dominant fashion reminiscent of Max, finishing with a 22-second lead. This victory was nothing short of a statement from McLaren, signalling their intent to be the team to beat. In contrast, Red Bull's struggles with their latest upgrades saw them fall out of contention, highlighting their missteps. Another surprise of the weekend was Ferrari, who, despite not bringing any upgrades, performed exceptionally well, matching the pace of the top teams and earning Charles Leclerc a podium finish. On the flip side, it was a weekend to forget for Williams. Logan Sargeant's crash in FP3 due to careless driving, followed by Albon's disqualification in Q3, made it a disastrous outing. Rumours suggest that Logan might be replaced soon, as Williams can't afford further costly incidents with the cost cap and next year's car development in mind. Next up is the iconic Monza track for the Italian Grand Prix. With its long straights and sweeping corners, the stage is set for high-speed action and plenty of overtakes. Round 15 of the Formula One World Championship took us to the Circuit Zandvoort in the Netherlands for the Dutch Grand Prix, a race that has only been won by Max Verstappen since its reintroduction to the sport in 2021. However it was not to be the Dutchman's day at home, with Norris taking a convincing pole and victory to fully stamp McLaren's authority and ambitions on the main stage. Could Lando still be in contention for the WDC? Around the paddock it was a light week with Helmut Marko all but confirming Lawson will be in a Red Bull or VCARB next year, Max has stated he's in the latter half of his career already, and Liberty Media is selling a 630,000 Euro stake of the company to fund the recent MotoGP acquisition. On top of this, the Uralkali/Haas drama resurfaced to all new levels this weekend, plenty of upgrades over the summer break were discussed, and Sargeant's seat is truly in jeopardy after his massive crash in FP3. A very light week of racing to bring us back to speed, something that we will see the pinnacle of next week at Monza for the Italian GP, and we hope to see you there On The Gravel!

The benefit of a gear-driven cam is you eliminate the chain and chain tensioner. We tuned Popeye's bike with the Vance and Hines FP3 and it runs like a raped ape. Tuning was easy with the FP3. We selected the intake, cam, and exhaust for Popeye's bike and flashed it. After flashing the "canned" map, we ran an auto-tune session with really dialed things in. Due to Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) findings and Federal Trade Commission (FTC) settlements, the FP3 may soon become a thing of the past. We grabbed up a bunch of FP3s for you guys. Harley-Davidson (HD) entered into an agreement with the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) on June 23, 2022. This relates to all Harley warranties and if you're a Harley owner this is absolutely must-know information. Introduction: As part of this agreement, HD agreed to the findings that it had violated the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act when it forced warranty-holders to buy only Harley-Davidson branded parts or lose warranty coverage. Let's start by discussing what the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act is. The Magnusson-Moss Warranty Act basically prohibits manufacturers from requiring consumers to use only original equipment parts or services to keep their warranty. This means you can service your own motorcycle and use aftermarket parts without automatically voiding your warranty. While the FTC took action against Harley-Davidson, the organization does not have the authority to recover consumers' damages. A federal lawsuit filed against HD in Wisconsin's Eastern District Court last week seeks to recover any damages consumers who bought a Harley motorcycle from Aug. 1, 2018, up until now may have faced. A second lawsuit was filed in California's Northern District Court. The lawsuits claim owners paid more for genuine HD parts, as compared to aftermarket parts, in fear of their warranties being voided. Requirements Of The Agreement: HD shall not imply or state that: A warranty will or may be void due to you using unauthorized or aftermarket parts or services in connection with your motorcycle. A warranty will or may be void due to you making a modification to your motorcycle without the HD's authorization or approval. As a condition of warranty coverage, or within the Written Warranty, you must use only genuine Harley-Davidson parts or services provided by authorized service providers. However, HD may represent, both in its warranty documents or otherwise, that it will: Exclude warranty coverage for defects or damage caused by unauthorized parts, service, or use of the vehicle, including defects or damage caused by the use of aftermarket parts. Or, use of the vehicle for racing or competition, and denial of coverage may be based on the installation of parts designed for unauthorized uses of the vehicle, such as a trailer hitch. And, consistent with Harley-Davidson's July 2017 Consent Decree with the EPA, exclude warranty coverage and deny all warranty claims for functional defects of powertrain components. And, for any Harley-Davidson motorcycle registered in the United States if the vehicle was tuned using a tuning product not covered by a California Air and Resources Board (CARB) Executive Order or that was otherwise approved by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). HD must identify all consumers who purchased new or used motorcycles still under warranty and notify them of the FTC agreement and its terms. Further, HD must provide consumers with a complete copy of the warranty at the time of purchase. What Does All This Mean For A Motorcycle Owner? First, I want to let you know that we did a very popular and highly viewed video about Harley Davidson Warranties and issues some time ago and you'll definitely want to watch that video after this one to be well educated and understand the issues in their entirety. So, I mentioned earlier in this article that your warranty cannot be voided if you have your bike serviced at a third-party shop or simply decide to do your own oil changes and services in your own garage, which I highly recommend. You can save yourself a ton of money and have the pure satisfaction of wrenching on your own bike. The next question is; Can a motorcycle manufacturer void your warranty for installing non-OEM aftermarket parts on your motorcycle, such as headers, mufflers, intakes, handlebars, stereos, cams, and even EFI tuner? They can deny any warranty claim if they determine the aftermarket parts you added to your bike caused the damage. Let's start with mufflers as a general example. Let's say you put aftermarket mufflers on your Harley and the transmission goes bad suddenly. I think it'd be fair to say that mufflers did not cause a transmission failure, so you “should” be covered under a warranty. Or, you do an aftermarket stereo install and your engine then has a major failure. I think it'd be fair to say that a stereo install has nothing to do with the engine failure and thus you should be covered under a warranty. Now, let's say you do a cam upgrade and afterward the engine has a catastrophic failure to a push rod. I think it'd be fair to say that the new cam upgrade caused the engine failure and you'd not be covered under a warranty. The real question then is, does simply doing a non-motor upgrade like stereo install or handlebars for example, automatically void your powertrain warranty or overall warranty? No, those upgrades do not affect the powertrain, thus you should not have your warranty voided. The next question is, does simply doing a powertrain upgrade such as a cam upgrade for example, automatically void your powertrain warranty? No, not by itself, however, you must remap your EFI after an upgrade like that and if you were to use a non-EPA compliant tuner, your powertrain warranty will be automatically voided by Harley-Davidson. You see, when Harley dealerships plug your bike into Digital Technician II for diagnostics it auto-detects whether the bike has a tuner, and then it will be determined whether it is EPA compliant. Digital Technician II automatically sends the detected tuner information to the Harley-Davidson mothership so to speak and your power train warranty is voided immediately if it's not compliant. Now, in regards to Harley-Davidson and other motorcycle and auto manufacturers for that matter, the EFI tuner issue is because of pressure and fines from the EPA, who is making them void warranties if non-compliant tuners are utilized. In 2017, Harley entered a consent decree, filed by the United States EPA, that required them to cease the sale of all non-compliant EFI tuners. And, void warranties on those Harley's with non-compliant EFI tuners. And yes, Harley is voiding warranties for non-compliant EFI tuners as are other motorcycle companies and auto manufacturers. What Is An EPA-Compliant EFI Tuner? Well, that's not so clear, but we did some research and digging for you. Currently, we can find no credible list of “EPA compliant tuners”. I will mention that of course, Harley-Davidson has a Screamin' Eagle EPA-compliant EFI tuner that will not void your warranty. But, it doesn't do much and we'll talk about that in a moment. So, this begs the overall question, is something like the Vance & Hines FuelPak EFI tuner EPA compliant, and will it void your Harley warranty? Well, we spoke directly to two Vance & Hines technicians today, and here's what we learned. The FuelPak 3 (FP3) is not EPA compliant technically, because it allows you to tune non-EPA compliant engine upgrades such as cams and big bore kits. The FP3 will void your motorcycle warranty. But, Vance & Hines says the FP4 is EPA compliant and will not void your warranty. However, it will only allow you to tune up to a stage one upgrade, which means pipes and intake. It will not allow tuning for cams and big bore kits now or in the future. Act Quickly If You Want A FuelPak 3: We do sell the Vance and Hines FP3 and FP4 in the Law Abiding Biker store. With that said, you need to act very quickly if you want to get your hands on a Vance & Hines Fuelpak 3 for your 2014-2020 Harley before they're gone forever. Many of the large stores are already out of them. For all of you who own 2021 to current Harley's, you can only use the FP4 as it has a different style plug. We have stocked up with FP3's right in the Law Abiding Biker Store for you and they are moving very quickly. It's first come first serve and when they're gone they're gone forever. If you have a 2014-2020 Harley and have ever thought about doing a future cam upgrade or big bore kit you'll need the FP3. In fact, we just did a cam upgrade on a Milwaukee eight and used the FP3 to tune it, and afterward, the bike ran like a raped ape. The FP3 is a very capable tuner with many options and we've used them for years. We will be releasing a full detailed cam install tutorial video on our YouTube Channel, so make sure you're subscribed so you are notified as we release videos. Also, the FP3 allows you to tune your bike right from your smartphone, unlike some other tuners. It is super intuitive and we already have a tutorial video on that. Maybe you just want to do a simple stage 1 upgrade with pipes and intake right now, well you can with the FP3 while also future-proofing yourself in case you want to do more. And of course, if you want an FP4 we have those too in the store and they are plentiful. Also, if you're a California resident, you'll have to get the FP4 regardless. Customers in California can't buy the FP3 and dealers can't sell it to California residents. Now for argument's sake & for a better understanding of how all this works, I'll dive in a bit further. A Further Breakdown: Let's say you do an aftermarket muffler upgrade and have not installed an EFI tuner and your engine then has a failure. And, you take it to a Harley dealership, who decides to say that the mufflers caused it. Well, although the Magnusson-Moss Warranty Act is behind you it may or may not help you. You see, in a situation like this, the burden of proof is completely on you as the consumer. You'd have to decide whether the cost is worth it. Because you're the one that will have to find and hire an Attorney that may be willing to file a lawsuit. Now, over the past years, we have had communications with Harley owners and particular dealerships conducting business like this in similar circumstances. I would say our local dealership and the vast majority were not doing this and following the rules. With that said, the FTC agreement included contact info to file a complaint with HD Headquarters and the FTC. You may find a resolution at this first step. While we still need to see how this plays out, we anticipate that riders will have more choices in how they repair and update their motorcycles during the warranty period, which is clearly a big deal for companies in the motorcycle aftermarket, too. I hope that the ‘it will void your warranty threat for someone who just wants a better sounding or smoother running Harley is a thing of the past." What Am I Going To Do? I will simply buy the motorcycle without any extended warranty and ride it hard for a bit on the manufacturer's warranty until I'm comfortable that the bike is going to hold up. Then, I'll immediately put any damn parts and tuners I want on it and ride it like I stole it. You decide what you're going to do and let me know in the comments, Harley-Davidson reps do read them and so do we. Dicke Überraschung gab es am gestrigen Hyperpole Tag. Alpine bekam vor dem Pole-Shootout eine BoP Anpassung die ihnen u.a. 10 PS mehr Leistung für ihren Oreca Motor geben. In der Hyperpole drehte die Mannschaft rund um Nicolas Lapierre das erstmal richtig auf. Doch Toyota wurde ihrer Favoritenrolle gerecht und Brendon Hartley verhindert die fünfte Pole für Kamui Kobayashi der damit mit dem Belgier Jacky Ickx geleichgezogen wäre. Primer Gran Premio de la temporada y los chicos del Podcast Técnica Fórmula 1 lo tienen todo listo para disfrutar del fin de semana. No sólo podremos disfrutar de la F1, también de la F2, F3, el WEC en Sebring, la Indy en Texas y MotoGP. Y, por si fuera poco, ya está disponible la liga fantástica del Podcast. Previa al Gran Premio de Bahrein. Los chicos del Podcast Técnica Fórmula 1 nos van a avanzar lo que esperan ver en esta carrera y las características que más destacan, tanto del trazado como del posible setup de los coches. Pirelli ha seleccionado para esta carrera los 3 compuestos más duros de la gama, la nueva gama de neumáticos de 18 pulgadas. La elección es un paso más dura que el año pasado, pero es que el comportamiento de estas gomas frente a las de 13 pulgadas del año pasado es muy diferente. Bahrein está entre las pistas más abrasivas del calendario (5/5) pues tiene un alto porcentaje de granito en el asfalto. Eso hace que los niveles de desgaste y degradación sean altos. Además, aunque la abrasión es alta, la arena que llega desde el desierto puede causar mucho deslizamiento, que afectará al agarre. Así, la pista obtiene una clasificación de 3 sobre 5 en la clasificación de agarre de Pirelli. En cuanto a la tracción y el frenado, Pirelli le da a Sakhir una puntuación de 4/5 en ambas clasificaciones, al ser una pista de paradas y arranques. Siguiendo con las nuevas puntuaciones de Pirelli, hablando de cargas laterales, la puntuación es sólo de 3 sobre 5, siendo los neumáticos traseros los que más trabajan. Como sabemos, este año tendremos F2 y F3 en Bahrein, así que la evolución de la pista, que normalmente es alta a lo largo del fin de semana, será aún mayor. Nuevos sistemas de frenos. Como no podía ser de otra forma, a nuevos neumáticos, nuevos sistemas de frenos. Los ingenieros de Brembo, la marca que abastecerá a la mayoría de los equipos, han diseñado nuevas geometrías debido a los cambios en el reglamento y respetando las nuevas limitaciones impuestas por la FIA. El nuevo reglamento va a permitir usar discos de frenos de mayores dimensiones. Al aumentar el radio efectivo, Brembo ha tenido que revisar, además de la arquitectura de los discos, la geometría de las pinzas y las pastillas. También se han modificado otros componenetes como las tomas de aire y conductos de freno que ahora serán “prescribed components”, es decir, iguales para todos los coches. Eso impide que se puedan usar estos elementos para aumentar la carga aerodinámica. En resumen, y hablando del peso, el sistema de frenos completo de la temporada 2022 aumenta su peso en unos 700g por rueda, lo que supone un aumento del peso de los monoplazas de casi 3 kg en total, comparados con el peso de 2021. Qué tener en cuenta para ver la carrera den Bahrein. Teniendo en cuenta que la carrera en Bahrein comienza justo después de la puesta del Sol, a las 6pm hora local, las temperaturas en pista serán muy diferentes a las que tendrán los equipos para probar en la FP1 y la FP3, siendo más similares a las de la FP2 y la clasificación. En cualquier caso, dichas temperaturas también pueden bajar durante el transcurso de la carrera, de 57 vueltas. Los chicos del Podcast Técnica Fórmula 1 nos hablarán ya a nivel más personal, de cómo ven a los diferentes equipos, a quién ven favorito y a quién ven en el medio de la tabla y al final. Felizes são os humildes - Mt 5:1-3 A missão é o alvo de Deus para a sua Igreja. Tal missão consiste em pregar o evangelho e fazer discípulos (Mc 16.15; Mt 28.18-20). O objetivo da missão é reconciliar as pessoas com Deus (cf. 2 Co 5.18-21). Uma vez reconciliadas, elas se tornam membros da família de Deus e cidadãos do Reino dos Céus (cf. Jo 1.11-13; Rm 8.29; Ef 2.19). Em outras palavras, a salvação para o cristianismo é restaurar o propósito de Deus em todas as áreas da vida humana. Mas, como são os cidadãos do Reino do Céus? Como se comportam? Quais são os valores que norteiam à sua vida? Jesus respondeu estas perguntas ao proferir aquele que ficou conhecido como o Sermão da Montanha (Mt5-7). É neste contexto que estão as Bem- Aventuranças (Mt 5,1-12), com as quais Jesus ensina sobre as qualidades presentes na vida dos cidadãos do Reino. A primeira bem-aventurança diz: “Bem- aventurados os humildes de espírito, porque deles é o reino dos céus" (Mt5.3). É necessário que entendamos o que significa ser “bem-aventurado”. Está expressão é usada com frequência nas Escrituras (mais de 300 vezes). Ela funciona como uma declaração de bênção, resultado da obediência a aliança estabelecida por Deus com o seu povo (cf. Dt 7.12-22; 28.1-6; 51 1.1-3). Portanto, ser feliz segundo a Bíblia é ter um relacionamento pleno com Deus, baseado na obediência e submissão à sua aliança. Mas, quem são o bem-aventurados? São os humildes de espírito. À palavra humilde também pode ser traduzida por pobre, e transmite a ideia de um indivíduo absolutamente fraco, limitado e falido em si mesmo. Ser humilde de espírito é compreender que diante de Deus nós nada somos (cf. S1 62.9; Is 40.12; 41.14). E, isto é verdade tanto no sentido existencial quanto no que diz respeito a nossa salvação. Assim, o humilde de espírito é aquele que reconhece que a sua vida e salvação dependem apenas de Deus. Ele não confia em suas próprias obras, esforços ou méritos. Antes, se submetem a Deus, confiando apenas no sacrifício de Cristo. E, por que eles recebem o Reino do Céus? A razão é simples. O Reino dos Céus é o reconhecimento do governo de Deus sobre todas as coisas, na pessoa do seu Filho Jesus, a quem constituiu Rei sobre todas as coisas (cf. 51 110.1; Dn 7.13,14; At 2.36; Fp 2.5-11). Para ser recebido no Reino, é necessário submeter-se ao senhorio de Cristo. Porém, não é possível reconhecer o senhorio de Cristo sem que o nosso ego seja destronado. O problema é que tal atitude é contrária a natureza humana caída, Os que assim procedem são aqueles que são atraídos por Cristo e conquistados por ele (cf.Jo 1.11-13;12.32; At26.14;Fp3.13). A verdadeira felicidade é estar quebrantado, vencido, conquistado e submisso a Cristo e à sua vontade. Enquanto não entendermos que nada somos e que nada temos senão o Senhor, seremos infelizes! I was like one year qualified, and that then I knew who he was and I knew he was about and I went to a few more of his study clubs in the local area, and he just has a brilliant clinician.

Tras un fin de semana de descanso, en el que pudimos entretenernos con las 500 Millas de Indianápolis, vuelve la Fórmula 1. En este primer episodio de la semana, el equipo del Podcast Técnica Fórmula 1 nos hace un análisis previo al GP de Azerbaijan, que no es una de las pistas más queridas por los aficionados, pero que ha dado carreras apasionantes - y otras muy aburridas - en el pasado. Esperemos que este año el espectáculo esté entre las primeras. Baku ha sido descrita por los pilotos como una pista con la complejidad de Mónaco y la velocidad de Monza. Quizás un poco exagerado, pero nos da una idea de la naturaleza del circuito urbano más rápido y largo del calendario, al menos desde la perspectiva de los pilotos. La pista tiene todas las características que se esperan de un circuito urbano: una superficie “verde” y resbaladiza que evolucionará rápidamente, porque no se ha usado durante dos años. Eso sí, las barreras son implacables y, en la curva 9, es un circuito extremadamente estrecho, lo que aumenta la posibilidad de coche de seguridad - y obliga a tenerlo en cuenta en las estrategias. Pirelli busca variedad en las estrategias. En esta ocasión se han seleccionado, por vez primera, los neumáticos más blando de la gama, un paso más blando que la última vez que se corrió en Baku y la misma nominación que en Mónaco. La última vez, el compuesto duro no se utilizó en carrera y dar un paso al más suave fomentará una mayor variedad en las estrategias. La superficie de la pista, por otra parte, es una de las menos agresivas en términos de rugosidad del asfalto y no consume mucha energía de los neumáticos. La estrategia ganadora la última vez fue medio-blando, y una sola parada, usada por los 4 primeros: Charles Leclerc terminó quinto para Ferrari haciendo lo contrario (y con una parada adicional para montar blandos al final y llevarse la vuelta rápida). Debido a la larga recta en Baku, los equipos teinden a poner niveles bajos de carga aerodinámica, lo que pone el acento en el agarre mecánico de los neumáticos en las 20 curvas exigentes. Por otra parte, Baku es conocida como “la ciudad de los vientos”, debido a su clima ventoso frecuente y variable, lo que afecta al equilibrio aerodinámico en lo que ya es una pista complicada en términos de set-up. Una pista complicada para los frenos. La pista de Azerbaijan está clasificada como una de las pista más exigentes para los frenos. En una escala del 1 al 5 obtuvo un 4 (similar a Sakhir). El trazado incluye cuatro curvas de 90º en la salida, que son muy exigentes con los frenos, seguidas de otras curvas donde al ángulo cambia continuamente y, en consecuencia, también lo hace el uso de los frenos. Además, la pista tiene varias curvas técnicas como la curva 8, cerca de las fortificaciones del casco antiguo, donde no hay margen de error. De los 11 tramos de frenado en el circuito de Baku, 4 están clasificados como muy exigentes con los frenos, otros 4 son de dificultad media y los otros 3 restantes son ligeros. ¿Cuándo podemos ver las sesiones del GP de Azerbaijan? El horario para ver las sesiones serán las 10:30h y las 14h del viernes para los FP1 y FP2, las 11h del sábado para la FP3 y las 14h para la clasificación, y el domingo disfrutaremos de la carrera a las 14h. El equipo del Podcast Técnica Fórmula 1 analizará, en el segundo episodio de la semana, los pocos datos disponibles de la pista y darán su opinión sobre lo que esperan de esta carrera. En concreto, será interesante escuchar lo que opina Raúl Molina, ya que conoce la pista de primera mano: estuvo presente durante unos entrenamientos (bien pasados por agua) en 2009. Para hacer este repaso contamos, además, con Abel Caro y John René Montes. Lo que podemos esperar del GP de Portugal. Todo augura que la pista dará poco espectáculo, porque parece difícil adelantar, pero lo mismo decían de otras pistas incorporadas este año, como la de Mugello, que nos han sorprendido, y gratamente. Nadie sabe exactamente qué esperar en Portimão, hablando de Fórmula 1, pero Pirelli tiene alguna experiencia previa en la pista en las carreras de GT. No obstante, han tomado una decisión conservadora al nominar a los neumáticos más duros de la gama, cubriendo así todas las eventualidades. En Portimão, durante la primera media hora de la segunda sesión de entrenamientos libres, todos los equipos probarán prototipos de neumáticos slick de 13 pulgadas sin marcar para el próximo año, de acuerdo con un plan de ejecución que definirá Pirelli, quedando así validado el desarrollo de neumáticos 2021. La última temporada de 13 pulgadas en la F1. Por último, pero no menos importante, matemáticamente, el equipo Mercedes podría proclamarse Campeón del Mundo en este Gran Premio. La competición en el mundo del motor ha vuelto a lo grande. Y el Podcast Técnica Fórmula 1 (con Abel Caro y Raúl Molina) ha hecho lo mismo: el episodio previo al GP de Hungría es ya el cuarto programa de esta semana. Después de haber analizado (más que a fondo) la segunda carrera en el Red Bull Ring, y la carrera de la IndyCar, el equipo del podcast hace ahora un programa previo a la carrera en Hungaroring. Algunos datos interesantes sobre la pista. Al igual que la pista austriaca, la de Hungría es una pista corta, cuya vuelta tiene algo menos de 4 km. y varios cambios de elevación. La pista de Hungría es una de las consideradas por los técnicos de la compañía italiana como de “dificultad media” para los frenos, al nivel de las dos últimas pistas visitadas por la Fórmula 1, Spielberg y Barcelona (en la pretemporada). El récord de la pista lo tiene Max Verstappen, con un promedio de 211,5 km/h, bajo en comparación con otras pistas, debido a lo tortuosa que es y a la necesidad de una una alta carga aerodinámica. La pista presenta once secciones de frenada, con un tiempo total de frenada por vuelta de casi 18s. Con 7,7 décimas más que en el Red Bull Ring, este tiempo de frenada es uno de los más altos de todo el Campeonato Mundial: desde que se apagan los semáforos hasta que se ve la bandera a cuadros, los frenos están funcionando más de 20 minutos. La sección de frenada más exigente para los frenos en Hungría está situada en la primera curva, donde los pilotos sufren una desaceleración de 5,5 Gs cuando pasan de 346 km/h a 109 km/h en tan sólo 137 metros. Algunas cuestiones antes del tercer GP de la temporada. Tanto las sesiones de libres, como la clasificación y la carrera tienen horario europeo de competición. Si hablamos del horario de Madrid, el viernes, los FP1 se celebran a las 11h., los FP2, a las 15h., los FP3 a las 12h. del sábado, la clasificación a las 15h. y la carrera, el domingo a las 15:10h. La temporada ha empezado tarde, ya en julio, y tan sólo se han celebrado 2 carreras, pero lo cierto es que estamos viviendo un espectáculo fantástico, y nos estamos divirtiendo mucho. Again, we are not actually encouraging anyone to put heavy duty diesel oil in their Harley. Always check with your local Harley-Davidson dealership mechanic for advice. There are many bikers out there that swear by using heavy duty diesel oil in their Harley. Big Daddy Kane here at Law Abiding Biker™ Media has also done it before in the past. Just know that Harley-Davidson recommendations are different and you definitely could have warranty issues should they discover it. If you're not under warranty then heck, do what you please at your own risk. Our personal take on it? I'll spend almost the same amount of money buying full synthetic 15W-40 heavy duty diesel oil anyways. Bought the bike off the showroom @ Lone Wolf, had a stage one put in first thing, and it never would run right. Had them re-tune this spring, but no improvement. NEW FREE VIDEO-Touch up paint chip or scratch on Harley Davidson Patron member Carl Lingelbach posted a question about motorcycle torque cones for exhaust headers and their effectiveness. He put true dual exhaust on his Harley and now doesn't have enough back pressure and his bike is not performing optimally. Luckily, I had mechanical advisor Oscar on the microphone and he answered this very question. At the end of the day, he's not a big fan and doesn't think that torque cones are all that effective. There are much better options for performance out there like getting other exhaust aside from true dual pipes. You'll just have to listen to get all the details. Next we cover an email from Nora Dalton and she asks: I have a 2014 FLHTK with a compensator noise. I'm talking with HOG members with the same compensator noise can you tell us what is going on with the Harley Davidson compensator problem? Our Original Response: Listen and you might also hear the chain whirring around in the primary. Pull the primary cover off & replace the OEM Primary Chain Auto Adjuster with a new Auto Tensioner. A few have experienced that the auto tensioner was bad or needed to be quickly adjusted. What your hearing could be a primary chain with slack in it. So as the bike idles you hear the chain whirring or rubbing against the inside of primary. Then the compensator eventually gets a slack slap (knock). Of course we discuss this in more length, so listen in. Next we cover a voicemail we received from Martin Royal: Martin is wondering if he can use the Vance & Hines Fuelpak 3 (FP3) motorcycle fuel injection tuner (EFI) with his stock Harley head pipes if he removes the catalytic converters (cats). He related information from Vance & Hines that the stock O2 sensors are too close on the stock Harley head pipes and he will get cross-talk of some sort & that the auto tune function could then not be used. Note: Make certain you check your local, State, & Federal laws before removing catalytic converters from motorcycle exhaust pipes. Oscar and I give our personal opinion and our real world experience on this matter. Quite a few of us are using the Vance & Hines Fuelpak 3 on our current Harleys in just the manner Martin describes in his voicemail and have absolutely no problem with the functionality of the FP3 and our bikes are running great! And yes, we run the auto tune function on the FP3 and it works great! Certainly you could buy Vance and Hines head pipes or another manufacturer if you choose and they don't have catalytic converters and the O2 sensors are in a bit different location. Both are motorcycle electronic fuel injections (EFI) tuners and seemingly two of the most popular currently on the market. We realize there are many other EFI tuners on the market, but it takes time to properly install, film, evaluate, and review each tuner. We also have much experience with the Dynojet Power Commander V and Auto Tuner, which have been a staple in the motorcycle EFI industry for many years now. Remember that the first thing Harley Davidson owners usually do after purchase is put a new air intake and exhaust on their ride. It is a must to re-map your electronic fuel injection immediately after installing an air intake, exhaust, or both. Don't waste your money getting the stock Harley EFI re-map download at a dealership, as it is a one time canned EFI map & can cost over $250. A canned map is basically a pre-determined EFI map based on you particular air intake and pipes that has already been made. If you go with the Harley canned EFI map and you ever change anything down the road you will be back in the dealership paying another large sum of money for an EFI re-map. With the FP3 and Power Vision you can make as many changes as you want any time down the road should you decide to change things up. And you can get way more options than a canned map out of these devices. You can auto tune your EFI with the FP3 and Power Vision for more precise tuning as you ride your Harley. If you become very well versed and knowledgeable you can manually change individual values & more. There is a lot of information out on the internet about motorcycle spark plugs and much of it is confusing or contradicting. We are regular day to day hardcore bikers and want to find out what really matters & what is fluff with motorcycle spark plugs. The stock Harley Davidson plugs are a bit cheaper than the aftermarket NGK Iridium plugs or other aftermarket spark plug brands. Knowing that factory spark plugs on newer Harley Davidson motorcycle's under normal operating conditions only need to be changed out every 30,000 miles or so is something to take into account. The iridium plugs claim they can last even longer than that. We have noticed slight differences when using NGK Iridium spark plugs over stock Harley Davidson spark plugs, such as faster engine start up. The bike we used is Oscar's 2012 Harley Davidson Ultra Limited with a Power Commender V installed, which can make your engine start slower. At the end of the day it only costs you an extra $10 or so every 30,000 miles to use iridium aftermarket spark plugs instead of stock Harley Davidson plugs. Our tests were done for the regular biker out there on the road, not in a racing environment of course. There are an array of claims out there on how bad ass one motorcycle spark plug is over the other and that may be true for professional racers etc. But, for the average every day biker it will be hard to say whether you notice any significant difference at all, which was our experience. But for the extra $10 I will be upgrading my stock Harley spark plugs to NGK Iridium. If I get quicker engine starts at minimum, then heck it was worth it I guess. The Discovery Channel ought to be ashamed to air a show like the Devil’s Ride and for trying to pass it off as a “reality show”. It is so far from reality it’s pitiful. Kurt Sutter, creator of the truly fictional FX Network Television Show Sons of Anarchy, blasts the creator of the Devil’s Ride on Twitter recently. Sutter sent out a tweet to his followers. In it, he wondered if “The Devil’s Ride” had been canceled or not and questioned the legitimacy of the clubs that take part in the show. That didn't sit well with a member of the Laffing Devils, who are also on Twitter. "Is 'Devil's Ride' still on? my thespians are harder than these bitches. don't take my word, ask any OMC in the fucking world,” Sutter writes on Twitter. One of the Devils, who goes by Mad Max responded with, "Fuck you you talk a lot of shit from that key board [sic]," completely ignoring that he was in fact typing his message on a keyboard. Sutter offered a simple, "you're just jealous because i can spell.” Sutter, had more things to say about the show and said, "If your MC has agreed to become a show, you are now reality TV stars. you've traded legacy/pride for cash/fame. And you are in my circus," and, "I may have to buy all the devils chocolate valentine hearts. Their feelings are so hurt. Especially the fat one from 'The Wonder Years.” The "fat one from “The Wonder Years” is Jason Hervey, who played Wayne Arnold on the long-running series. He also happens to be the creator of "Devils Ride" and has a message of his own for Sutter, also delivered via Twitter. "Man U talk shit. U put ur cast in front of u, but not u?" he tweeted. "EP Vs.
