Jami Morgan from Code Orange is back on the show! We discuss the recent standalone single "Out For Blood," his perspective on the growing importance of singles in rock and metal, the reality of having to create new music faster in the current landscape, how being a frontman is more exhausting than being a drummer, Max Portnoy becoming a full time member of the band, why he feels Code Orange are in it for the long game and how they are intentionally polarizing. Petar and Brandon tackle the police raid of Marilyn Manson's home and seizure of his hard drives, The Word Alive befriending the thieves who stole their gear, and John Cooper of Skillet calling Rage Against The Machine “government rock.” Songs: Code Orange - “Out For Blood," Daxma - “The Clouds Parted”

These stories are meant to empower you to go all out and build a brighter future while serving others. In this conversation, we got to know talented Holly Morgan.Holly is a renown writer, actress, and podcaster with international recognition for her work. She is the host of Big Diva Energy and Out For Blood; a podcast that has gotten over 40 thousand downloads after only 3 months. In this conversation, we discussed:
We love a good podcast deep dive. And nothing has been scratching that itch more successfully this year than the new series Out For Blood. The new podcast is a close look (perhaps a too close look) into the Queen of Broadway flops Carrie the Musical. Two obsessive fans, Chris Adams and Holly Morgan, meet the cast, crew and creators, sift through the mysteries and urban legends, chat to some famous super-fans, and find out how Carrie rose from the dead and reinvented itself as a mainstream musical success story. Today, we have the honor of sharing a portion of their episode that dives into Act I of the show. In this excerpt, you’ll hear Holly, Chris and their guests discuss the overture and opening of the show and they each delighted and baffled audiences. Enjoy. Learn more about your ad choices. On this week's episode, Jamie and Rob dive into the world of famous (and infamous!) Broadway flop musicals with a special two-part show focusing on these flawed and fabulous gems. They kick it all off with a look back at “Carrie” (1988) with word from its original star, the incredible Betty Buckley, who provides a rare peak into that experience. Then, Rob and Jamie move on to discuss such musicals as “Kelly” and “Breakfast at Tiffany's”, and some less “successful” works by Rodgers & Hammerstein and Stephen Sondheim. Part two follows next week. This week's music: “Overture”, “Eve Was Weak”, “Carrie”, and “Out For Blood”, from “Carrie”. “Opening: Joseph Taylor, Jr.” and “The Gentlemen Is A Dope”, from “Allegro”, “Sweet Thursday”, “Overture”, from “Pipe Dream”, “Me And My Town” from “Anyone Can Whistle”, “Overture”, “Like It Was”, from “Merrily We Roll Along”, and “Who Needs Her” from “Breakfast at Tiffany's”. Offering a release to the constant negative news cycle that we've been enindated with for years is crucial in keeping your sanity. It was the goal of Sum 41 to provide that release with their new album "Order In Decline". With songs like "Out For Blood" and "45", this is their loudest and aggressive album yet. Lead vocalist Deryck Whibley is the special guest on episode 113 of the DOMKcast. The band has been around since 2001 emerging onto the rock music scene with their hit "Fat Lip". They continued on and built a loyal fanbase. Deryck talked about his struggles with alcohol. He is 5 years sober-at one point was told by a doctor that if he took one more drink he might die. Deryck viewed alcohol as just a thing he did as opposed to being addicted. In terms of transitioning out of drinking on a consistent basis, he found it was basically like turning off a switch for him. He had to find a different release and put all of his energy into that. Mr. Sounder Zach Scott, a member of the Seattle Sounders from 2002-2016, joins Jackson Felts as the guys discuss what he's doing in retirement, an upcoming event called Out For Blood to Kick Childhood Cancer, and his thoughts on this Sounders season so far.
Here’s someone else who has SEEN IT ALL. Lita Ford was first recruited by Kim Fowley to join the all-female band the Runaways and in 1979 she headed out on her own. In 1980, after the breakup of the Runaways, she signed with Mercury Records and released her solo debut: Out For Blood. From there, she continued until 1995, when she went on a hiatus. In 2008, she came back with a vengeance and hasn’t let up since. Doggy Juice Podcast Episode 18 - Out For Blood by DoggyJuice
This is the second installment of my recent LA adventures. As I teased last week it was quite an adventure and learning experience. Find out why in this weeks intro. On the podcast we got together with Tess Freedel and Alyssa Martini of Bad Saint. We sat down at Acai Jungle Cafe and caught up on why Tess and Alyssa were in LA. We talked about the boogie van tour, playing shows in LA and their new EP, and so much more. I hope you enjoy this conversation as much as I did.Featured music:"Out For Blood" by Bad Saint"Hanging On The Telephone" by Bad SaintLearn more here: http://www.badsaintband.com/You can find, subscribe, rate, and review the podcast on iTunes for iOS, Google Play Music, Stitcher Radio and Spreaker for Android.Become a Patreon partner to the podcast! https://www.patreon.com/thezim
This podcast is about OUT FOR BLOOD from the FULL interview with Luke Foley/Farewell Flight, with Frank Jenks. Greatness.
Hey, folks!! Another month has gone by, and now here's a brand new episode of Random Old Records Podcast to (possibly) bring some joy to your life and (hopefully) break up the monotony. This time around, it starts off with a run of classic country and country-rock, including the maddeningly catchy "Mare, Take Me Home" by Wildweeds, and the acoustic beauty of "She's My Girl" by UK rockers Help Yourself. Then, there's a detour into the amazing new Numero Group compilation Cosmic American Music for a track by private press journeyman Allan Wachs, which is bursting with spooky highway Seger vibes.Elsewhere, you will hear tough-edged power pop from Mama and Mother's Children, a track from the underrated last Warm Soda LP, and a set of blazing old and new hardcore from around the US. On the tour is Cincinnati's own Everyday Objects, Rüz from St. Louis, Stuck Pigs from DC, and Poison Idea from Portland. Finally, you get a set of goth-pop including three of the best vocalists in rock n' roll today: Hether Fortune of Wax Idols, Jess Poplawski of Survival, and Haley Morris of Pleasure Leftists. You can download the episode HERE. As always, thanks for listening! I am still in the process of adding old episodes to the archives, so check back frequently for some fresh old jams, and come back next month for episode #52, which will have a pile of mellow summertime psych and a whole lot more!!Random Old Records Podcast #51Released 05/05/161.
