sent $$$ this week to Imagine Water Works in Louisiana.imaginewaterworks.org“Imagine Water Works is reimagining the future through art, science, and human connection. Our core focus areas are water management, climate justice, and disaster readiness and response / mutual aid.We create resources, learning opportunities, and mutual aid networks to survive and thrive both today and in the future. In all of our work, we honor the fact that people who have been pushed to the margins are the exact same people who know how to build a better future for themselves and their communities, even when the future feels uncertain. As such, we’re holding space for who are too often pushed out: Indigenous people, Black and Brown folks, LGBTQ and nonbinary people, two-spirits, farmers and artists, immigrants, young people and the elderly, disabled people, writers and filmmakers, poor people, those with less formal education, and everyone living at the intersections of these identities. This fund will support relief and recovery efforts *led by locals* in the wake of #HurricaneIda, as well as essential preparation for the rest of hurricane season: https://bit.ly/IdaRelief.”DOWNLOAD RECORDINGsubscribe to the podcast here: http://feeds.feedburner.com/5432fun(intro by omar)Ruby Karinto “Fox’s Wedding” self titled (aka “spray bottle”) LPMarsha & Lars “Pungent Defeat” Species DiscoveryPalberta “In My Fame - Jug!” Roach Goin’ DownA.O. My Little Underground

Nate Amos (Water From Your Eyes) & Lily Konigsberg (Palberta) have come together to form My Idea! The duo pulled up to My Little Underground to talk up their debut EP, 'That's My Idea' on Hardly Art Records. Nate and Lily reveal their future plans for the group such as a full length album, a possible country album as well as a tour! Both Nate and Lily have other projects that have albums released or have one on they way in 2021. Nate is one half of Water From Your Eyes with a new album, 'Structure' out 8/27 and Lily already released an album with Palberta this year in 'Palberta 5000'. I wonder if they feel overworked by adding My Idea to their list of many projects? The duo of Sami Perez (The She’s, Cherry Glazer) and Spencer Hartling just released their self-titled debut last week, and it’s a beautiful amalgamation of art-rock and maximalist experimental pop. Hartling and Perez recorded the album over the last year and a half at Tiny Telephone Studios in San Francisco, where they both also work as recording engineers. Tune in to hear how most of the songs came together while they were tinkering around in the studio, the lessons they learned from working at Tiny Telephone, the pros and cons of recording the album in a setting that they’re very familiar with, how their creative styles complement each other, and a whole lot more!
