Spring rains are falling, soft and sound,While onions nestle in the ground.Planting tips? We've got a few,But warnings? Well—they won't stop you. You'll buy too much, and that's just fine,With garden dreams on down the line.Darrin's worms are thriving still,Turning scraps with quiet skill.Foliar sprays—do they hold weight?Let's dig in, investigate. And garden tomatoes, fresh and red—Why do they dance upon your head?A word to savor, light and tree:The dappled glow of Komorebi. So grab your boots, begin again—The garden's calling. Come on in!

Второй называется In Real Time и его обозревал в 2023 году. Jazz Messengers The Smile of the Snake - это классический трек в духе Jazz Messengers, в котором фортепианное соло с хитрыми переплетениями трубы напоминает творчество Miles Davis с Herbie Hancock.

Compassion is the focus of this guided meditation led by Julie Potiker. Breath in compassion for yourself - and out for others. She completes the meditation with the poem, "Komorebi," by James Crews.Komorebi, by James CrewsFor what must have been a full minutein the spacious eternity of an eveningat the ragged end of summer, I stoodin the kitchen as the sun dropped downbehind the trees at the exact right placefor it to dance, shadow and light, acrossthe swirled grain of the maple counter. The Japanese call it komorebi, this playof sunshine breaking through the gapsin leaves, now dappling my hand as Ireach for my mug of tea. One of thosecountless small miracles we seldom thingto name in English, a simple rewardfor laying down the knife and leavinga carrot half-chopped on the cutting board,to be heard for at least this one out ofthe 1440 minutes I was granted today.-Komorebi, by James Crews.Find out more about using mindfulness in everyday life through Julie's books, "SNAP: From Calm to Chaos", and "Life Falls Apart, But You Don't have To: Mindful Methods for Staying Calm in the Midst of Chaos". I was convinced to try out Gris after seeing a single screenshot, but in true gamer fashion, I bought it a few years before finally playing it. It took the backlog resolutions challenge in our Discord server to finally get me to play it, and unsurprisingly, I was hooked by what Nomada Studio had created immediately. The marriage of art, music, gameplay and color take you on a journey through the main character's struggle in a way that only a video game can do. Joining me for the discussion about Gris is Eric Gess, host of The Unlockables, which he bills as "The story of video games, the people who play them, and the memories we make along the way". You can check out his podcast (https://linktr.ee/unlockablespodcast) and YouTube channel (https://www.youtube.com/@theunlockabes) for interviews with creators, monologues about the industry, a long-running story breakdown of the Kingdom Hearts series, and much more. Pulling up at the best station from this nation, we have the Ladies Special coming in with Producer & chillwave, trip hop electronica artist from Delhi, Tarana Marwah aka Komorebi. She's out with a new record that released in Sept 2023 called The Fall. It was a behemoth multimedia project that was 6 years in the making and includes a 6-song album, a 30-page comic book and music videos made with Epic Games' Unreal Engine. We talk about how family is our kryptonite and invariably the greatest inspiration for her work; how collaboration, as much as it's fulfilling can also be intimidating; and whether it's a soliloquy or an intergalactic sci-fi story every record is autobiographical. Also, Tarana is on the lookout for a good choreographer for her next musical venture. Song List: The Fall (01:15 to 06:51) Watch Out (17:14 to 21:15) Better Not Bitter (26:30 to 31:57) I Grew Up (48:22 to 54:11) Follow Komorebi on Instagram Come be our friend: Facebook @maedinindia Instagram @maedinindia Twitter @maedinindia CREDITS: Host: Mae Twitter: @maebemaebe Instagram: @maemariyam Producer: Shaun Fanthome, Sean D'mello, Ruchi Sawardekar Content & Social Media Manager: Meghna Gulati Sound Editing & Additional Engineering by: Lakshman Parsuram Video Editing by: Jishnu Guha Artwork Design by Alika Gupta Episode Mixed & Mastered by: Kartik Kulkarni Music Mixed by: Aria Nanji Recorded at Island City Studios
‘komorebi' for once i lost the words. for once all in my world drew its breath. you, cross-legged atop your blanket, me, little boy bursting from my chest. the portrait brushed around us so lush in pause. “on my final day this is where i wish to end,” but a playful frog took my thoughts before i vented. and the lake you longed adopted i immediately made my own, a mirror i had lacked all my life. my throat hitched. i turned my back so you wouldn't see. you know me, my leaky eyes, my emotional complexities. “i fucking love you,” but mother nature had stripped my expression to its core. no sense fighting it, in that moment i surrendered myself to you. no sense denying it, my little boy chose you as home. “don't you run away don't you run away don't you ever run away,” he clung, but you couldn't. still in gain, i felt your loss. but your smile the only sound, and our frog's hide-and-seek, and the birds' twinkling star reveries. all this, at last, and you, was being. and when i finally turned i caught you, a spark before the new night, a shimmer and a flare and any and all the language could never describe you under my eyes, and when we kissed i knew you'd taste all four letters of your name across my lips. komorebi: the scattered light that filters through when sunlight shines through trees * #barflypoet #josephapinto www.josephpinto.com © Copyright Joseph A. Set in Tokyo, Director Wim Wenders PERFECT DAYS follows Hirayama (Kōji Yakusho) a toilet cleaner with a highly structured routine. Every morning, he wakes up to the sound of a street cleaner, waters his plants, buys a coffee from the vending machine outside his apartment, and gets into his truck. His workday routine, he travels around Tokyo, cleaning the city's public toilets. He eats lunch in the same park and takes a photo of the leaves above him while eating. After working more, he goes to the bathhouse, gets dinner at the same restaurant, reads for a bit, and goes to bed. We are joined by the award winning Director and co-scriptwriter Wim Wenders (Paris Texas, Wings of Desire, Buena Vista Social Club) and Producer and co-scriptwriter Takuma Takasaki to talk working with renown actor Kōji Yakusho to create Hirayama, making Tokyo a central character in the story, the cultural importance of the “common good”, and the meaning of the word Komorebi. Hirayama is content with his life as a toilet cleaner in Tokyo. Outside of his structured routine he cherishes music on cassette tapes, books, and taking photos of trees. Through unexpected encounters, he reflects on finding beauty in the world. For more go to: neonrated.com/films/perfect-days

With selections from James Blake, Jamie xx, Four Tet, Thom Yorke, some lesser-known cuts by the likes of Loma and sir Was, and his original works, Curtain Blue leverages how his Wild City mix will likely be enjoyed. The mix weaves its journey around emotions instead of energy for a narrative seeped in sombreness and sensuality. A particular defining moment comes with New Delhi producer's own track 'Sunkissed' leading one into the introspection of 'Her Revolution' by Burial, Four Tet and Thom Yorke echoing distantly alongside sitar loops before the follow-up jolts you awake. Sandwiching between such famously effective numbers, Curtain Blue aka Abhishek Bhatia places his own work like the collaborative track 'Birds and Bees' with Komorebi, which recently received an extended music video in collaboration with Indian fashion powerhouse Satya Paul, and also of his contemporaries like Frame/Frame to pivot towards a triumphant uptempo finish. Hello, co-pilots and curious star hoppers. Welcome to Spaceman's Transmissions, your home away from home in the aural universe, and your most trusted source of inflight entertainment during that peaceful ascent into the ether. I'm aware that there are many of you out there that have given up on your ability of assembling the dream machine into a working apparatus. You dismiss dreams as an escapable entity, afforded to only a privileged few. ----more---- It seems as though we have all experienced the phenomenon of déjà vu at some points in our lives. Wasn't I here before, why is this familiar, don't I know this person from somewhere? In many cases, if we dug deep enough into the well of our own creatively subliminal souls, we could find that it was our own bubbling well of dream intuition which had brought us to that magical space. This proves that those dreams are there, somewhat hidden or obscured, by other pieces of information that create a cloud cover. My mission is to assist you in dissipating that cloud cover and leading you to the field of creative wonder. Take steps to learn about lucid dreaming and documenting your dreams once you awaken. Find ways to be creative without being critical or dismissive of your artistic abilities. These practices will open a creative portal in which the tides of color and light will flow. No one is born and able to speak a language, ride a bike, or navigate a spacecraft to the stars. It's all a learned process that takes practice and determination. Navigating to the dreamer's landscape is no different. We tend to dismiss obscure dreams as a hindrance, or an utter confusion of entangled nonsense and senseless weirdness. However, dear listener, it's much deeper than that. Travel to that forgotten land of dreams and build a mental bridge to your waking self. Lather, rinse, repeat.

Welcome to the zen retreat of the Far East, the heartland of spiritual enlightenment. Here, each gentle breeze whispers through the trees with the wisdom of generations long passed on; their harmony with nature a testimonial to their reverence for all the joy that can be found by simply being still, by being Here. [02:03] Through the seasons, Japan is alive with Magic and wonder. The sakura blossoms of springtime give way to hot and restless summertime rains here at EPCOT's Japan Pavilion. Steam rises in soft, undulating waves, filling the air with a muggy fog that conceals us in our sanctuary. We are among thousands, yet in this place and for this moment, we experience a solitude that calms our very souls. [02:24] We are greeted by the wagakki - the traditional folk instruments that create the entrancing music we in the western world do not often experience. The glide of the Samisen, a fretless Japanese lute, is accompanied by reverberating drums and the captivating Koto, a kind of harp. [03:31] A Shinto Torii gate represents our spiritual passage from the chaos beyond and into a realm of tranquility and connection. Though we still may hear the rumblings of far-off revelry, the percussions join forces with an isolated flute to enrobe us in the fullness of this space. We are lulled by the legato of a Shakuhachi, a lilting Japanese bamboo flute. Formed in a unique shape and bearing a small piece of ivory or bone on its edge, the Shakuhachi is a derision of an 8th century Chinese instrument, trilling with a quintessentially eastern sound and pulling all who hear it into a deep reverie. [05:10] Let's wander in, past the towering pagoda - its perfect symmetry and mesmerizing layers a beacon of tradition and opulence. A staggering replica of the 7th century constructed Horyuji Temple, this 85-foot temple represents the five elements from which Buddhism teaches all is borne: Earth, Water, Fire, Wind, and Sky. [05:44] This pavilion, more so than the others found around World Showcase, has an open courtyard flanked by lanterns and the earliest representations of Japanese architecture on either side. There is so much space to take in the majesty of our surroundings that we almost forget how much more lies within the depths of this place. Nevertheless, the rush of a distant waterfall promises restoration, and so we journey onward, forward, inward. [06:02] Footbridges of pale bamboo cross over streams and into the lush Eden of bonsai, camellias and violet. Symbols of the seasons, both of life and of nature, these bridges mark both our departure and our arrival, our leaving behind the comfort of what we knew and opening our minds to new discoveries, new epiphanies, new hope. Our seemingly endless foray leads us to a retreat of cascading waterfalls, the pools below a living canvas of delicate water lilies and graceful koi fish. Japanese maples, sturdy bamboo, and charming monkey puzzle trees offer a shady reverie as the sunshine peeking through dapples the pond where the koi swim freely with dazzling light - Komorebi. [06:40] A word untranslatable into the English language, Komorebi, like so many Japanese words, worships nature with its imagery and reverence. It refers to the balance of light and shadow sunlight creates as it wends its way through forests and trees, always finding a way to shed some of its glory on the world below. Today, we see it dance on the water, illuminating the colors of the koi fish and giving life to the water lilies perched on their pads. A balance of light and shadow, joy and serenity, revelry and reflection. [07:57] The symphony surrounding us shifts as an energetic rhythm calls extracts us from our zen reverie in the garden. The melody of sunlight dancing through the garden is too overtaken by the sudden appearance of low, gray clouds, which have almost imperceptibly overtaken the sunshine. Let us go and wander in the wake of temples and engawas...there is still much to discover Here. [12:04] In the distance, the sound of Taiko drummers extracts us from the throes of our contemplation. Synchronous and powerful, the percussionists pay tribute to the ancient traditions of their people. The echoes of Taiko drums can be heard across the centuries, on battlefields and at memorials, during festivals and spiritual ceremonies. Their thunder has been seemingly timed to announce the arrival of a summer storm. But, for now, the drummers call our attention to their rhythm, their story, the immense physical feat of their craft. We are enthralled, overtaken, brought into a narrative that holds neither nostalgia nor comprehension for us. Still, we are Here, listening intently, and for a moment, we understand. [14:55] The Matsuriza conclude with a flourish of applause from onlookers and a grateful “arigato.” The heavens seem to take this as their cue to begin their own performance, staccato raindrops painting their pattering on stone rooftops, bonsai trees, and our trusty umbrella. [16:30] Washing the garden in a refreshing, steady rain, yet another element has joined our quiet moment in the garden: water. Life-giving and purposeful, the rain seems unlikely to cease anytime soon, and so we surrender to nature's higher power, just as the temple beyond yields in reverence to the sky. [17:34] Each note of this symphony is deliberate, a melancholy and contemplative veneration of nature in which we can find true and abiding peace. [20:08] There is no disturbance but for the rain caressing each branch, leaf, and rock. A perfect lullaby in the middle of a concert, a zen escape amidst the chaos of the day. [29:10] Welcome to the Land of the Rising Sun, the place where daybreak brings renewed hope and purpose, the dawning of each new day a sign of unwavering resilience. From the rising of the sun to its setting, we hope you'll find tranquility in the joyful reverie that is this the essence of this moment. Be Here. Arigatou gozaimasu.

The Process: a podcast about creativity and experimental music.
This episode on "The Process" I talk with composer Marti Epstein. We listen to her piece "Komorebi" performed by Winsor Music: Gabriela Diaz, violin; Rane Moore, clarinet; Peggy Pearson, oboe. Marti shares her thoughts on virtuosity in music and the primal urge to create.

The influence of Japanese culture is something Tarana Marwah has kept at the forefront since the dawning of her moniker ‘Komorebi’ – naming her act after the Japanese word for ‘sunlight that filters through tree leaves’ in 2015. Four years on, Marwah is one of the leading figures amongst the emerging talent of India’s underground music. Her amalgamation of downtempo electronica and jazz-infused R&B has gone from strength to strength propelled by Marwah’s distinctive and unabashed individuality – a feature which filters through in everything she does. Her latest mix for Wild City is no exception. Unique in its own right, the mix is entirely based on anime and video game soundtracks. Utilising soundtracks from some of the most popular titles like Naruto, The Legend of Zelda, Halo, Far Cry, Inuyasha and Death Note, the short 24-minute-long curation is a trip down memory lane, tugging at obscure memories of music that we consumed in our youth (or, of course, adulthood) through passive listening. Serving beyond its intended purpose, the mix also works as a varied playlist showcasing some of the most stellar work from video games and anime culture – treading through a whole spectrum of genres, from the ambient ‘Impossible Worlds’ from Mountain Valley and dark textures of ‘On The Precipice Of Defeat’ from Bleach, to the rousing Halo 3 track ‘Zealous Champion’ and the inherent coolness of Samurai Champloo’s opening track by Nujabes. Hålbë and Euca’s friendship is based on the cult of music, ranging from Italian singer-songwriters to darker and stronger dancefloor beats. They are residents of the Peakbeat cultural association which operates in the North of Italy with various musical and cultural acts, such as Beat Circus, indie rock and folk music festival and Komorebi music festival, two days of Techno, House and Disco immersed in the greenery of a little forest.
