In the new world of college football there may be just as much action in the courtroom as there is on the field. The latest trend is if you want another season in college, after your eligibility is up, take it to the courtroom! The two most recent cases of that are Trinidad Chambliss and Joey Aguilar. Both of whom are waiting to see if they get an injunction that will allow them to play in the 2026 season. Andy Staples, Ross Dellenger and Steven Godfrey explain both of these cases and update everyone with where the cases are in the process. They also take a look at the schools these quarterbacks are looking to go back to. Both schools have 5-star QBs waiting in the wings, which leads to the question: in the transfer portal world, are 5-star QBs better off going to a smaller school where they can play right away and transferring later? Then, the guys get into some more College Football Playoff conversation. The CFP released the 2026 & 2027 schedule for the quarterfinals, semifinals and championship game. In 2026, the playoff spans over 39 days. Andy, Ross and Godfrey discuss the ludicrous schedule. They also talk about a potential savior in the NFL. With the NFL now owning a stake in ESPN, will they help out college football's scheduling to make it a better product?Later, Andy shares the results of his homework assignment. Last episode, the guys discussed how weak Week 1 is to start the 2026 season. Andy shares his plan of how to move Oklahoma and Michigan to Week 1 to inject some energy into the opening weekend slate of games. The guys also close the show by discussing the Washington Post shutting down their sports division. All of this and more on College Football Enquirer.0:00:00 - SEC QB's suing for eligibility6:18 - Trinidad Chambliss' case update8:32 - Joey Aguilar case update16:08 - What does the future of 5-star QB's in college look like?28:24 - CFP releases 2026 schedule40:22 - Andy tries to improve Week 1's schedule51:55 - Reflecting on the Washington Post news Subscribe to the College Football Enquirer on your favorite podcast app:
The phone lines are burning up tonight as frustrated Packers fans unload on everything from coaching accountability to cornerback attitudes. When one player says he hit all his personal goals while the team missed the playoffs, and another shows genuine humility about his struggles - which one deserves to stay? Tonight's callers dive deep into the uncomfortable reality facing this franchise. We break down why Bisaccia, Stenovich, and Butkus aren't going anywhere despite underwhelming results, and why making excuses isn't the same as making a defense. The cornerback debate gets heated when Chris from Alabama contrasts Nate Hobbs' accountability with Keyshawn Nixon's "I met my goals" mentality - and the numbers might surprise you about who actually played better. Plus, we tackle free agency priorities head-on. Is Justin Fields the answer at backup QB? Can we realistically upgrade at corner when only one rookie outperformed Nixon last year? And what does the Eagles' dysfunction teach us about appreciating what we have in Green Bay? The hard truth: you can't cut your way to a better roster. Somebody has to play, and the math on replacing multiple corners just doesn't work. Subscribe, leave a review, and call in next time to join the conversation. Trade deadline day is here and the gang spends the entire show waiting on the Miami Heat to make a move. Leroy pushes back on Tobin and Brittney's “negative” outlook while Tobin yells down to 601 Biscayne Blvd. begging Pat Riley to PLEASE DO SOMETHING. As the deadline approaches, Heat frustration grows, Tobin's tirade continues, and the guys break down all the NBA news while also taking a quick timeout to discuss the future of Tua as the Dolphins' starting QB. Things take a dark turn when reports confirm the Bucks will not be trading Giannis, sending Tobin into a full meltdown aimed at Milwaukee, Giannis, and just about everyone else. With two first-round picks in hand, the New York Jets may have the flexibility to make a bold quarterback move in the upcoming draft. Evan and Tiki dive into the idea of using a high pick on Ty Simpson, a prospect whose stock has swung wildly over the last college season. They revisit how quickly quarterback evaluations can change, why waiting can be risky if you truly believe in a player, and how past debates like the Daniel Jones draft still shape how fans view early QB selections today. The conversation also expands to broader draft philosophy, media hype cycles, and why it may be too early for anyone to feel confident about next year's quarterback class. A thoughtful look at patience, projection, and pressure when it comes to finding the next franchise quarterback.
It's Super Bowl Week, and Jeff Mans is celebrating everything that is Super Bowl 60 related. He begins this week's show with a full reveal of his NFL betting record this season and a recap of every year he's had betting on the NFL since 2018. Jeff gives out a few “fun facts” surrounding this year's big game, including the record of teams wearing white in the Super Bowl, the impact of the QB's last name and birthdate, and many other strange but true facts about this game. Then it is time for Mans to go over every single Super Bowl bet currently offered at the Fanduel sportsbook and tell you which to consider and which to stay away from. He gives you examples of how the books are trying to lure you in and trick you with specific wording to make you think you are getting a better deal than you actually are. There are hundreds of party games, prop bets, sides, totals, parlays, and live bet considerations in this episode. Of course, Jeff also “puts it on tape” with his official Super Bowl 60 prediction and favorite bet for the game.
