Back in October, I hit a wall.  A pandemic wall. For the first time since March, I cried because the pandemic was impacting me personally.  That might seem odd - I mean haven’t we all had a good cry from time to time between the start of the pandemic and now?  Well for me, I’d started the pandemic with the intention for optimism and a truckload of self-care. So although I’ve cried - because hey I love a good cry (zero judgment if you do too!), up until October it had not been about me. It had been about other people hurting, the lives lost, the fact that people had to put their lives on the line to take care of us. I cried that people had to put their lives at risk to get heard because of the injustice that has meant we are finally listening as a species to the BLM movement - that they had to demonstrate in a pandemic to make the world wake up to something truly horrific. But I hadn’t cried about me. Until October. And then I hit the 6-month wall. So today I’m taking the lid off how we are all feeling about the pandemic as we are now more than 7 months into something that is here with us for a good long time to come. I’m sharing with you what you need to be doing for yourself, and for your team as a leader. And I’m sharing a whole lot of love in your direction too. So if you are hitting a pandemic wall this one's for you, my love. Because yes, you may well be a leader in tech.  But you are also a human experiencing a crisis. He has been teasing the new core change to Autopilot, which should be able to interpret its environment in 4D instead of 2D after the update, and should result in a rapid improvement in performance and new features being released quicker." reports Electrek: "Now the CEO took to Twitter to announce that the limited “private beta” release would happen next week and instead of referring to it as the launch of the Autopilot rewrite, he started referring to it as “limited FSD beta”: “Limited FSD beta releasing on Tuesday next week, as promised. This will, at first, be limited to a small number of people who are expert & careful drivers.”. The CEO didn’t elaborate further on the upcoming software update, which is not expected to be released to the broader fleet until December."   https://electrek.co/2020/10/12/tesla-release-full-self-driving-beta-customers-next-week/   TESLA ARRIVES IN INDIA "Elon Musk recently confirmed that his electric vehicle manufacturing company will enter the Indian market soon, possibly by next year. While there is little information about Tesla’s business plans for India, Tesla fans cannot seem to wait to see a Model 3 or Model Y on the streets." says Hindustan Times: "Tesla's entry could come at a time when Prime Minister Narendra Modi is increasingly becoming focussed on promoting the use and manufacture of electric vehicles. However, Musk did not explain what Tesla’s business plan would be in India, given that the EV culture and infrastructure to support is still at a very nascent stage in the country when compared to US, European or even some of the Asian markets. Tesla's entry into India, if it does take place, does not automatically mean opening of showrooms and selling of cars."   https://auto.hindustantimes.com/   ARRIVAL ‘MICROFACTORY’ IN SOUTH CAROLINA "Arrival, a U.K.-based electric vehicle startup backed by Hyundai and Kia that’s preparing to make electric delivery trucks for UPS, is building a small-scale “microfactory” in South Carolina that will be able to make as many as 1,000 battery-powered buses per year.  its flat, skateboard chassis is put together from extruded aluminum components, body panels are joined with aerospace-style adhesives and coloring is done by dying the composite material or wrapping a vehicle." according to Forbes: "The microfactory is the company’s first in the U.S. and “is the beginning of a paradigm shift in the EV space,” said Mike Abelson, Arrival’s North American CEO, a former General Motors GM +0.2% executive overseeing the automaker’s electric vehicle strategy. The company is investing just $46 million to set up its first U.S. production facility in Rock Hill, South Carolina, and will employ 240 workers when it opens late next year.  The company’s microfactory concept is also intended to make the manufacturing process as inexpensive as possible. Rather than requiring hundreds of acres of land and a purpose-built structure, the company says it can set up and equip a microfactory in a conventional warehouse space in about six months."   https://www.forbes.com/sites/alanohnsman/2020/10/12/electric-truck-startup-arrival-putting-46-million-microfactory-in-south-carolina/#da41a7c443f1   GMC’S HUMMER EV TO USE EPIC’S UNREAL ENGINE   "Fortnite creator Epic Games is partnering with carmakers, starting with General Motors, to use its Unreal Engine game development platform to build in-car software in what Epic is calling its “human-machine interface” (HMI) initiative. The first car to use Unreal Engine, which is the primary software toolset with which developers make Fortnite and countless other big-budget video games, will be GMC’s upcoming Hummer EV, set to be unveiled on October 20th." writes The Verge: "The logic is simple: modern cars are primarily designed using software, and assembled cars carry scores of onboard computers and rely on touchscreens and digital interfaces to power infotainment centers and other sources of information displayed to drivers. And Unreal Engine is a great platform for building software, which Epic thinks makes it a great platform for building the software that goes into cars."   Epic says: "When you sit in the driver’s seat of a modern car today, the way you interact with the vehicle is different from a few years ago. Buttons and screens dominate the dashboard, steering wheel, and instrument pane, providing features that may be new to you. Electrification is at the root of many of these advances, with digital hardware such as cameras, sensors, and displays, combined with cutting-edge technology like Unreal Engine, forming a framework on which to build new experiences. At Epic Games, we’ve long been interested in the way the requirements for HMI development overlap with those of game development. Much of the functionality required to create HMI systems has been available in Unreal Engine for some time. Unreal Engine provides best-in-class visuals for production HMI, with car paint materials and reflections that bring the highest quality real-time graphics to the vehicle. A comprehensive set of visual effects features that have been hardened by game development give automotive designers a robust set of tools to express creativity in their HMI designs.”   https://www.theverge.com/2020/10/7/21506572/epic-games-unreal-engine-general-motors-gmc-hummer-ev-human-machine-interface   MERCEDES-BENZ EQC 4X4² CONCEPT "Mercedes-Benz has revealed the latest in its growing line of hardcore four-wheel-drive prototypes, the EQC 4x4² - a one-off conceived to explore the ultimate off-road capability of the German car maker’s first dedicated electric model." says Autocar: " it receives heavily reworked suspension with multi-link portal axles that serve to site the wheels much lower than the axle hubs for vastly increased ground clearance.  ground clearance has increased by 153mm over the standard EQC, at 293mm, which gives Mercedes-Benz’s latest four-wheel-drive prototype 58mm more clearance than the standard G-Class."   https://www.autocar.co.uk/car-news/new-cars/first-drive-mercedes-benz-eqc-4x4%C2%B2-concept   DACIA SPRING EV TEASED AGAIN AHEAD OF OCTOBER 15 DEBUT " the Dacia premiere, which we all know is the production version of the Spring concept EV. Essentially an updated and rebadged iteration of China’s Renault City K-ZE, the Dacia Spring promises to make electric mobility accessible to all and is said to offer a driving range of more than 124 miles (200 km) based on the WLTP test procedure. Romeo Power’s pro forma valuation would be $1.33 billion.  The Wall Street Journal reported Sept. 21 that Nikola was testing Romeo batteries for use in the Nikola Tre.   Also on Monday, executives of Hyliion Holdings Co. It’s Martyn Lee here and I go through every EV story so you don't have to.   Thank you to MYEV.com for helping make this show, they’ve built the first marketplace specifically for Electric Vehicles. It’s a totally free marketplace that simplifies the buying and selling process, and help you learn about EVs along the way too.   Nico Rosberg Drives VW ID.R "Here’s my Hot Lap surprise for you: Racing the VW ID.R at the Nürburgring F1 track before the 2020 Eifel Grand Prix! I’m looking forward to your feedback on my Hot Lap video in this electric missile!"   LG CHEM FORECASTS RECORD THIRD-QUARTER PROFIT "South Korea’s LG Chem Ltd, an electric vehicle (EV) battery supplier for Tesla and a petrochemicals maker, said on Monday its third-quarter operating profit likely jumped to a record high, beating analysts’ estimates." says Reutrers: "Analysts attributed it to orders from Tesla. LG Chem, along with China’s CATL, supplies batteries for Tesla’s electric cars made in Shanghai. Tesla posted record quarterly deliveries in the third quarter. Analysts expect LG Chem’s battery business to remain profitable in the third quarter and its mainstay petrochemicals business to post solid profits. Tesla’s long-term plan to produce its own cells have hurt LG Chem shares, which had rallied this year due to EV expectations."     TESLA UPDATE LETS YOU LOCK SENTRY MODE/TESLACAM STORAGE IN GLOVEBOX "Tesla is updating the interior of the Model 3 to let owners lock their Sentry Mode/TeslaCam storage device in the glovebox. Tesla owners have to plug a storage device in one of the USB ports in the center console and footage recorded by Sentry Mode and TeslaCam, the automaker’s dashcam feature, will be stored on it." says electrek: "Now we learn that Tesla is introducing a solution with the new Model 3 2021 refresh that we have been reporting on over the last few days. Tesla has updated the glovebox to now get a USB port on the top left corner of it, according to a picture of the updated design seen by Electrek. The new port is going to connect to Tesla’s MCU and enable Tesla owners to use with a storage device, like a portable SSD, in order to record Sentry Mode and TeslaCam events."     PAN-AMERICAN ELECTRIC-VEHICLE ROAD TRIP NOW POSSIBLE "hanks to Enel X, electric vehicle drivers now have a way to drive from North America all the way down to Ushuaia in southern Argentina. Enel X recently installed 220 of its JuiceBox charging points in 11 South and Central American countries: Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico (including down to Ensenada, on the Baja California peninsula), Nicaragua, Panama, and Peru." reports Car and Driver: "The new "100% Electric Pan-American Charging Corridor" takes EV drivers along the Andes mountains, allowing them to follow along the 13,000-mile route that actor Ewan McGregor and his friend Charley Boorman took using electric motorcycles in the new Apple TV+ series Long Way Up. The two men drove electric Harley-Davidson bikes from Ushuaia to Los Angeles, and Ener X's Pan-American Charging Corridor is featured in the documentary program. While LiveWire electric motorcycles, the first Harley‑Davidson electric motorcycles, are the EV stars of the show, the film crew rode along in electric Rivian pick-up trucks, making the entire operation a tough test bed for new electric vehicles."     FRANCE: PLUG-IN ELECTRIC CAR SALES DOUBLED "In September, more than one in 10 new passenger car in France was a plug-in. Despite the overall passenger car sales in France decreasing a few percent in September, the plug-in electric car segment grew significantly to one of its highest results ever. The total number of registrations more than doubled to 18,588 (up 207% year-over-year). Passenger cars noted a market share of about 10.6%." according to InsideEVs: "The model rank is getting more interesting this Fall, although the dominance of Renault ZOE (2,878 in September and some 26,000 YTD) remains not threatened. The next two best were Peugeot e-208 (1,230) and Tesla Model 3 (1,083), but in fourth we saw the all-new Volkswagen ID.3 with 616 registrations."     DAIMLER'S LABOR CHIEF URGES EUROPEAN LAWMAKERS TO PROMOTE EV CHARGING "European lawmakers should promote electric car charging infrastructure as aggressively as they seek to lower CO2 emissions, Daimler's labor boss, Michael Brecht, said." reportsd Automotive News Europe; "Overall demand for cars could suffer if ownership of electric vehicles was not made more attractive with more readily available charging networks, Brecht said. Brecht said Daimler has reviewed its strategy to free up resources to retool its factories and retrain workers to build low emission cars."     CHINA PASSES PLAN TO BOOST NEW ENERGY VEHICLE INDUSTRY "China on Friday passed a development plan for the country's new energy vehicle (NEV) industry to foster new growth areas of green development, according to a statement issued after a State Council executive meeting" says CGTN: "Starting from 2021, at least 80 percent of public transportation, taxi and logistics vehicles in the national ecological civilization pilot zones in Fujian, Jiangxi, Guizhou and Hainan should be new energy vehicles."     XPENG SCORES RECORD DELIVERIES IN SEPTEMBER, 3RD QUARTER "Xpeng’s September deliveries amounted to 3,478 units, which is a new record for the company, and 8,578 was the quarterly total. The company’s new(ish), affordable sedan (the P7) dominated the company’s sales in September, totaling 2,573. The slightly older (but still quite young) small crossover/SUV, the G3, landed 905 sales." writes Zach at Cleantechnica: "Production of 40,000–50,000 electric cars a year is still a pretty niche amount, about what Tesla was doing with just the Model S and Model X. However, Xpeng is quickly working to go beyond this capacity. "     BYD NEW-ENERGY VEHICLE SALES UP 45% IN SEPTEMBER "China's leading new-energy vehicle (NEV) manufacturer BYD reported a strong rebound in its NEV sales in September, company data showed. In a filing to the Shenzhen Stock Exchange, the Shenzhen-based company said it sold 19,881 NEVs last month, up 45.3 percent year-on-year and up 30.1 percent month-on-month." according to China Daily: "In the January-September period, BYD sold 110,941 NEVs, down 42.4 percent year-on-year. The slump, however, narrowed from 49.1 percent in the January-August period with the help of the rebound in September."   https://global.chinadaily.com.cn/a/202010/10/WS5f8145b0a31024ad0ba7ddb0.html   ELECTRIC CAR SALES TRIPLE IN RACE TO MEET EUROPE CO2 RULES "One in 10 new cars sold across Europe this year will be electric or plug-in hybrid, triple last year’s sales levels after automakers launched new models to meet emissions rules, according to group projections Green Transport and Environment policy. The market share for most electric cars will rise to 15 percent next year, the group predicts" says The Financial Times: "According to the rules, automakers must reduce the average emissions of their vehicles to 95g of CO2 per km or face fines that can reach billions of euros. In the first six months of the year, average emissions fell from 122g to 111g, the biggest drop in six months in more than a decade. Toyota, which partners with Mazda, is very close to meeting its goals due to the widespread use of traditional hybrids, which run on both the engine and the battery. BMW, which has plug-in hybrids as well as its all-electric i3 model, met its targets for this year, as did Renault, which sells the Zoe electric. Renault’s alliance partner, Nissan, which sells the Leaf electric car, is also close to its goals."   https://www.ft.com/content/f3f7d99a-34a4-4650-a529-3731bd8bc17c   WHY AMAZON AND PANASONIC ARE BETTING ON THIS BATTERY RECYCLING STARTUP "[JB Straubel's] understated delivery obfuscates his ambitions and plans for Redwood Materials, the recycling startup that he co-founded in 2017. Straubel envisions and is actively working to make Redwood one of the world’s major battery recycling companies, with numerous facilities strategically scattered throughout the globe." says TechCrunch: "The company has a business-to-business strategy, recycling the scrap from battery cell production as well as consumer electronics like cell phone batteries, laptop computers, power tools, power banks, scooters and electric bicycles. Redwood collects the scrap from consumer electronics companies and battery cell manufacturers like Panasonic. It then processes these discarded goods, extracting materials like cobalt, nickel and lithium that are typically mined, and then supplies those back to Panasonic and other customers."   JB Straubel said: “As the world electrifies transportation it needs so many different materials and the supply chain upstream of the factory is, I think, often under appreciated. The Gigafactory is a little bit like an iceberg — there’s so much of it that’s kind of below the surface, in the suppliers and in the mines and refineries and all the different things that need to feed into it that you don’t typically see.”"     INSIDE CHILE'S STRUGGLE TO MAKE LITHIUM MINING 'GREENER' "Mining companies have descended on Chile to meet the demands of everything from phones to cars, but the environmental damage of water-heavy extraction processes has become a serious issue. Salt flat extraction is comparatively non-destructive to the landscape on a surface level but requires huge quantities of water to be pumped in from elsewhere or up from groundwater supplies, which is then evaporated in a series of pools to extract the lithium, removing it from the local ecosystem. " reportd The Drive: "The tension between needing lithium to mitigate climate change and actually causing it by desertifying a region would be ironic if it wasn’t so typically horrible."       You can listen to all 903 previous episodes of this this for free, where you get your podcasts from, plus the blog https://www.evnewsdaily.com/ – remember to subscribe, which means you don’t have to think about downloading the show each day, plus you get it first and free and automatically.   It would mean a lot if you could take 2mins to leave a quick review on whichever platform you download the podcast.   And  if you have an Amazon Echo, download our Alexa Skill, search for EV News Daily and add it as a flash briefing.   Come and say hi on Facebook, LinkedIn or Twitter just search EV News Daily, have a wonderful day, I’ll catch you tomorrow and remember…there’s no such thing as a self-charging hybrid.     PHIL ROBERTS / ELECTRIC FUTURE (PREMIUM PARTNER) BRAD CROSBY (PREMIUM PARTNER) AVID TECHNOLOGY (PREMIUM PARTNER) PORSCHE OF THE VILLAGE CINCINNATI (PREMIUM PARTNER) AUDI CINCINNATI EAST (PREMIUM PARTNER) VOLVO CARS CINCINNATI EAST (PREMIUM PARTNER) NATIONALCARCHARGING.COM and ALOHACHARGE.COM  (PREMIUM PARTNER) DEREK REILLY FROM THE EV REVIEW IRELAND YOUTUBE CHANNEL (PREMIUM PARTNER) RICHARD AT RSYMONS.CO.UK – THE ELECTRIC VEHICLE SPECIALIST (PREMIUM PARTNER)   DAVID AND LISA ALLEN (PARTNER) OEM AUDIO OF NEW ZEALAND AND EVPOWER.CO.NZ (PARTNER) GARETH HAMER eMOBILITY NORWAY HTTPS://WWW.EMOBILITYNORWAY.COM/  (PARTNER) BOB BOOTHBY – MILLBROOK COTTAGES AND ELOPEMENT WEDDING VENUE (PARTNER) DARIN MCLESKEY FROM DENOVO REAL ESTATE (PARTNER) JUKKA KUKONEN FROM WWW.SHIFT2ELECTRIC.COM RAJEEV NARAYAN (PARTNER)   ALAN ROBSON (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) ALAN SHEDD (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) ALEX BANAHENE (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) ALEXANDER FRANK @ https://www.youtube.com/c/alexsuniverse42 ANDERS HOVE (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) ANDREA JEFFERSON (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) ASEER KHALID (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) ASHLEY HILL (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) BÅRD FJUKSTAD (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) BRIAN THOMPSON (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) BRUCE BOHANNAN (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) CHARLES HALL (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) CHRIS HOPKINS (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) COLIN HENNESSY AND CAMBSEV (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) CRAIG COLES (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) CRAIG ROGERS (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) DAMIEN DAVIS (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) DARREN FEATCH (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) DAVE DEWSON (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) DAVID FINCH (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) DAVID MOORE (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) DAVID PARTINGTON (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) DAVID PRESCOTT (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) DON MCALLISTER / SCREENCASTSONLINE.COM (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) ERU KYEYUNE-NYOMBI (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) FREDRIK ROVIK (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) GENE RUBIN (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) GILBERTO ROSADO (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) GEOFF LOWE (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) HEDLEY WRIGHT (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) IAN GRIFFITHS (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) IAN SEAR (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) IAN (WATTIE) WATKINS (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) JACK OAKLEY (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) JAMES STORR (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) JIM MORRIS (EXECUTIVE PRODICERS) JON AKA BEARDY MCBEARDFACE FROM KENT EVS (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) JON MANCHAK (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) JUAN GONZALEZ (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) KEN MORRIS (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) KEVIN MEYERSON (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) KYLE MAHAN (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) LARS DAHLAGER (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) LAURENCE D ALLEN (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) LEE BROWN (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) LUKE CULLEY (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) MARCEL WARD (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) MARK BOSSERT (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) MARTY YOUNG  (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) MATT PISCIONE (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) MIA OPPELSTRUP (PARTNER) MICHAEL PASTRONE (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) MIKE WINTER (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) NATHAN GORE-BROWN (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) NEIL E ROBERTS FROM SUSSEX EVS (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) NICHOLAS MILLER (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) NIGEL MILES (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) OHAD ASTON (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) PAUL RIDINGS (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) PAUL STEPHENSON (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) PETE GLASS (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) PETE GORTON (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) PETER & DEE ROBERTS FROM OXON EVS (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) PHIL MOUCHET (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) PHILIP TRAUTMAN (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) RAJ BADWAL (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) RENE KEEMIK (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) RENÉ SCHNEIDER (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) RICHARD LUPINSKY (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) ROB HERMANS (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) ROB FROM THE RSTHINKS EV CHANNEL ON YOUTUBE (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) RUPERT MITCHELL (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) SEIKI PAYNE (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) STEPHEN PENN (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) STEVE JOHN (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) THOMAS J. TESLA FREMONT FACTORY STARTS TO PRODUCE ‘REFRESHED’ MODEL 3 "Some spy shots taken at Tesla's Fremont factory in California show a Model 3 that looks refreshed, though we're well aware that CEO Elon Musk says Tesla never refreshes its cars. You can refer to them however you choose, but they're visible changes, nonetheless. The most obvious is the exterior chrome delete that looks much the same as that of the Tesla Model Y." says InsideEVs: "According to Teslarati, the China-made Model 3 is getting the chrome delete, a powered trunk, a new steering wheel, and an updated center console, among other things. Electrek reported that it has received official information that the latter updates, as well as those seen on the Model 3s at Fremont, are planned for U.S. cars"   "Tesla has refreshed its Model 3 with some changes to the car's exterior, interior, and possibly elsewhere." says Tesmanian: "We have previously received reports from some North American owners that their Model 3s differ in frunk and headlights. Several updated Model 3s were also delivered to Europe, and made in China Model 3 was said to have received a number of changes. Now, Tesla enthusiast @WholeMarsBlog/Twitter has taken pictures of the refreshed Model 3 in Fremont. The production date of the car is October 8. In the shots, you can clearly see that the frame around the windows and door handles are no longer chrome. The sides of the center console are covered in vegan leather with stitching, instead of the plastic sidewalls that came before. Also spotted was a Model 3 with a steering wheel on the right side, which is likely an indicator of where it will be delivered. Tesla tracker Veda Prime claims that, according to the label, this car will be shipped to Australia or New Zealand. At the bottom of the label, we can see the mark, Japan, but Veda Prime claims that this is not proof that this Model 3 will be sent to Japan."   New steering wheel Center console 2.0 New headlights and tail lights Power lift trunk Chrome delete Octovalve Double-layer glass for better noise isolation   https://insideevs.com/news/448140/tesla-model-3-light-refresh-revealed/   https://www.tesmanian.com/blogs/tesmanian-blog/tesla-fremont-factory-starts-to-produce-refreshed-model-3   POLESTAR CEO DEFENDS THE POLESTAR 2’S RECALL AND 233-MILE EPA RATING "Earlier this week, the EPA released its findings on the Polestar 2’s electric range, certifying it as capable of traveling 233 miles on a charge. That’s about 90 miles less on a charge than the competing Tesla  Model 3." says TechCrunch: "Polestar CEO Thomas Ingenlath  spoke at TechCrunch Sessions: Mobility shortly after the EPA released its range guidance. In short, he said Polestar knows drivers see real-world results that exceed the EPA’s range. Ingenlath concedes his company is not beating Tesla in range, but encourages side-by-side comparisons in the real world. What looks like a large difference on paper is much less in practice. And he says a longer-range version is on the way."   https://techcrunch.com/2020/10/09/polestar-ceo-defends-the-polestar-2s-recall-and-233-mile-epa-rating/   NIO COMPLETES 1 MILLION BATTERY SWAPS On May 20th 2018 the first NIO Battery Swap station was installed in Shenzhen. It was back in May that I told you about NIO completing their 500,000th battery swap. And it has taken just 4 months to double that.   "As of October 5, 2020, Chinese electric vehicle (EV) maker NIO (NYSE: NIO) has provided more than one million free battery swaps to users, with a maximum of more than 500 battery swaps for a single vehicle, NIO said today. NIO said, based on the cost of 180 yuan per time, the service has a cumulative savings of more than 100 million yuan for users." reports CN Tech Post: "NIO has deployed 155 battery swap stations in China."   https://cntechpost.com/2020/10/05/nio-says-it-has-delivered-battery-swap-service-to-users-more-than-1-million-times/   AMAZON SHOWS RIVIAN ELECTRIC DELIVERY VANS "Amazon just showed off the first of its planned custom electric delivery vehicles, which could be delivering packages in the next year. It plans to have 10,000 on the road by 2022, and 100,000 by 2030." says Business Insider: "The vehicle has Alexa voice assistant integration for giving drivers hands-free information about traffic and route updates. Exterior cameras extend around the vehicle, giving the driver a 360-degree view of the area around them."   https://www.businessinsider.com/amazon-electric-delivery-van-photos-details-features-2020-10?r=US&IR=T#in-the-back-of-the-van-bright-tail-lights-on-both-the-sides-and-roof-clearly-show-other-drivers-when-the-vehicle-is-braking-enhancing-safety-7   OIL GIANT TOTAL BUYS LONDON’S LARGEST EV CHARGING NETWORK "French oil giant Total has bought the London’s largest EV charging network from another French giant, Bolloré Group. Source London, as the charge point network is called, includes more than 1,600 charge points. It was under the Blue Point London portion of Bolloré’s business, which is what Total acquired." writes Clean Technica: "Source London isn’t just the biggest EV charge point network in London — it accounts for more than half of the city’s charge points. Furthermore, it intends to increase the number of charge points in its network by 10× before the end of 2025. That would mean 16,000, which sounds like a lot until you look at Total’s broader plans. The energy company wants to be operating more than 150,000 electric vehicle charge points across Europe by 2025."   https://cleantechnica.com/2020/10/09/oil-giant-total-buys-londons-largest-ev-charging-network/   CLASSIC MGB ROADSTER IS A MODERN EV "The battery-powered MGBs are not conversions of vintage cars. Instead, the British firm RBW EV Classic Cars uses freshly minted bodies produced by British Motor Heritage. Underneath is a bespoke chassis with the engine mounted at the rear and the batteries located up front under the hood." says Autoblog; "The lithium-ion battery pack is by Hyperdrive Innovation, and the car is offered with six, seven, or eight batteries. Range is stated as 160 miles with the standard setup and 200 with the larger battery pack. A 3kW charger means a full recharge takes eight hours. The company says it intends to build 30 of the emissions-free roadsters, priced at 90,000 pounds (around $116,000). Sysco, which runs the second-largest private fleet in the nation, said it is seeking to reduce its carbon footprint." according to UtilityDive: "The electric Class 8 tractor is making local and regional trips out of a San Francisco terminal, and will continue test runs through January, Sysco said. The test runs help Daimler, too, as Sysco said it is sending data and feedback to the OEM to assist in improving the design.  Sysco said it is participating in Daimler's Freightliner Electric Vehicle Council, "a group of customers working with Freightliner to identify and address all potential hurdles to large-scale deployment of commercial battery electric vehicles.""   https://www.utilitydive.com/news/Sysco-test-Daimler-electric-truck-Freightliner-eCascadia/586662/   You can listen to all 903 previous episodes of this this for free, where you get your podcasts from, plus the blog https://www.evnewsdaily.com/ – remember to subscribe, which means you don’t have to think about downloading the show each day, plus you get it first and free and automatically.   It would mean a lot if you could take 2mins to leave a quick review on whichever platform you download the podcast.   And  if you have an Amazon Echo, download our Alexa Skill, search for EV News Daily and add it as a flash briefing.   Come and say hi on Facebook, LinkedIn or Twitter just search EV News Daily, have a wonderful day, I’ll catch you tomorrow and remember…there’s no such thing as a self-charging hybrid.     PHIL ROBERTS / ELECTRIC FUTURE (PREMIUM PARTNER) BRAD CROSBY (PREMIUM PARTNER) AVID TECHNOLOGY (PREMIUM PARTNER) PORSCHE OF THE VILLAGE CINCINNATI (PREMIUM PARTNER) AUDI CINCINNATI EAST (PREMIUM PARTNER) VOLVO CARS CINCINNATI EAST (PREMIUM PARTNER) NATIONALCARCHARGING.COM and ALOHACHARGE.COM  (PREMIUM PARTNER) DEREK REILLY FROM THE EV REVIEW IRELAND YOUTUBE CHANNEL (PREMIUM PARTNER) RICHARD AT RSYMONS.CO.UK – THE ELECTRIC VEHICLE SPECIALIST (PREMIUM PARTNER)   DAVID AND LISA ALLEN (PARTNER) OEM AUDIO OF NEW ZEALAND AND EVPOWER.CO.NZ (PARTNER) GARETH HAMER eMOBILITY NORWAY HTTPS://WWW.EMOBILITYNORWAY.COM/  (PARTNER) BOB BOOTHBY – MILLBROOK COTTAGES AND ELOPEMENT WEDDING VENUE (PARTNER) DARIN MCLESKEY FROM DENOVO REAL ESTATE (PARTNER) JUKKA KUKONEN FROM WWW.SHIFT2ELECTRIC.COM RAJEEV NARAYAN (PARTNER)   ALAN ROBSON (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) ALAN SHEDD (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) ALEX BANAHENE (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) ALEXANDER FRANK @ https://www.youtube.com/c/alexsuniverse42 ANDERS HOVE (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) ANDREA JEFFERSON (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) ASEER KHALID (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) ASHLEY HILL (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) BÅRD FJUKSTAD (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) BRIAN THOMPSON (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) BRUCE BOHANNAN (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) CHARLES HALL (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) CHRIS HOPKINS (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) COLIN HENNESSY AND CAMBSEV (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) CRAIG COLES (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) CRAIG ROGERS (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) DAMIEN DAVIS (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) DARREN FEATCH (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) DAVE DEWSON (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) DAVID FINCH (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) DAVID MOORE (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) DAVID PARTINGTON (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) DAVID PRESCOTT (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) DON MCALLISTER / SCREENCASTSONLINE.COM (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) ERU KYEYUNE-NYOMBI (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) FREDRIK ROVIK (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) GENE RUBIN (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) GILBERTO ROSADO (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) GEOFF LOWE (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) HEDLEY WRIGHT (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) IAN GRIFFITHS (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) IAN SEAR (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) IAN (WATTIE) WATKINS (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) JACK OAKLEY (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) JAMES STORR (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) JIM MORRIS (EXECUTIVE PRODICERS) JON AKA BEARDY MCBEARDFACE FROM KENT EVS (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) JON MANCHAK (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) JUAN GONZALEZ (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) KEN MORRIS (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) KEVIN MEYERSON (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) KYLE MAHAN (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) LARS DAHLAGER (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) LAURENCE D ALLEN (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) LEE BROWN (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) LUKE CULLEY (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) MARCEL WARD (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) MARK BOSSERT (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) MARTY YOUNG  (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) MATT PISCIONE (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) MIA OPPELSTRUP (PARTNER) MICHAEL PASTRONE (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) MIKE WINTER (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) NATHAN GORE-BROWN (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) NEIL E ROBERTS FROM SUSSEX EVS (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) NICHOLAS MILLER (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) NIGEL MILES (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) OHAD ASTON (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) PAUL RIDINGS (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) PAUL STEPHENSON (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) PETE GLASS (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) PETE GORTON (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) PETER & DEE ROBERTS FROM OXON EVS (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) PHIL MOUCHET (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) PHILIP TRAUTMAN (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) RAJ BADWAL (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) RENE KEEMIK (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) RENÉ SCHNEIDER (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) RICHARD LUPINSKY (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) ROB HERMANS (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) ROB FROM THE RSTHINKS EV CHANNEL ON YOUTUBE (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) RUPERT MITCHELL (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) SEIKI PAYNE (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) STEPHEN PENN (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) STEVE JOHN (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) THOMAS J. AUDI E-TRON GT RS IS TAYCAN COPY/RIVAL "The Audi e-tron GT and e-tron GT RS will be revealed simultaneously next year to rival the Porsche Taycan Turbo.  Audi has let more info slip about what to expect when that time does eventually arrive. First, there will be a two-pronged approach to the new e-tron GT’s reveal, with both ‘standard’ and e-tron GT RS models due to be shown off simultaneously in a similar fashion to Porsche’s Taycan Turbo and Turbo S. As has already been established, the two will share more than just a launch strategy with the Taycan, as underneath the two cars are very similar, sharing a fundamental J1 platform" writes evo.co.uk: "The car is being developed by Audi Sport, and an engineer told evo that, just like Porsche, it was ‘focusing on the reproducibility of performance’. Double wishbone suspension, electric torque vectoring, rear-wheel steering and a very low centre of gravity (especially for a four-seater), the GT should handle as well as the Porsche Taycan it’s based on. Another aspect Audi is keen to reinforce is substantial progress in combating range anxiety: the e-tron GT will have a range of nearly 250 miles from its 90kWh battery pack, the minimum range the firm believes is acceptable to its customers. Moreover, if you can find a charging point compatible with its 800v charging system it’s possible to reach 80 per cent charge (200 miles) in around 20 minutes. There will also be a wireless charging setup that works with an inductive pad installed in an owner’s garage."   https://www.evo.co.uk/audi/21992/audi-e-tron-gt-rs-to-join-standard-gt-new-details-of-audis-flagship-ev-revealed   GERMANY’S LARGEST FAST CHARGING HUB Today, fast charging company Fastned, Tesla and Seed & Greet open Ladepark Kreuz Hilden, Germany’s largest fast charging hub. On site there is a café, a large Tesla Supercharger station and a large Fastned charging station. At the Fastned station 8 cars can charge simultaneously with up to 300 kW, allowing electric cars to add up to 300 km of range in just 15 minutes. The Fastned station is powered by energy from the sun and wind, generated partly by the station’s large solar roof. Ladepark Kreuz Hilden is right off the intersection between the motorways A3 and A46, close to Düsseldorf, Germany. Fastned has 8 fast charging stalls and Tesla’s Supercharger station has 20 Supercharging stalls, bringing the current total for the hub to 28 stalls. The Fastned station in Kreuz Hilden can easily be expanded with more fast chargers, so that in the future 22 cars can charge simultaneously at the station. Fastned has 125 fast charging stations in the Netherlands, Germany, the United Kingdom and Belgium.   https://fastnedcharging.com/hq/fastned-and-tesla-open-germanys-largest-fast-charging-hub/   NISSAN LEAFS ARE STILL THE MOST POPULAR USED ELECTRIC CAR "In 2020, the bargain-basement Leaf ($13,054 for the average used model) kept 28% of the US used EV market. Even in Tesla’s home state of California, the Leaf is outselling Tesla’s lineup." says Quartz: "Price is most people’s first consideration. The automotive research company iSeeCars analyzed over 54,000 used EV sales from 2019 to 2020. The Nissan Leaf remains the most popular used EV in 18 of the 25 states with the highest share of EV sales.  That’s a function of both price and availability. Yet the volume of Tesla models now entering the market is likely to change the equation. It’s not much of an exaggeration to say America’s EV market belongs to Tesla. Nearly half of EVs sold in American since 2012 bear the Tesla logo."   https://qz.com/1913991/used-nissan-leafs-are-selling-better-than-tesla/   MAZDA CONFIRMS MX-30 WILL GET A ROTARY ENGINE AS A RANGE EXTENDER "CEO Akira Marumoto confirmed that Mazda will use a rotary engine in the MX-30. Mazda plans to use the rotary as a range extender on the otherwise all-electric version of the MX-30. Marumoto said that it will begin testing with a small batch of prototypes next year. The goal is to have a production version of the MX-30 with a rotary engine on Japanese roads in 2022." says Autoblog: "Mazda says it’s going to be compact, have a high power output and be a smooth operator. Of course, those are all things we expect out of a rotary engine. An all-electric version of the MX-30 has been on sale in Europe for about a month now, too. There are still no official plans for Mazda to unleash the MX-30 on the American public, and even if it did, there’s no guarantee that we’d get one with a rotary range extender."   https://www.autoblog.com/2020/10/08/mazda-mx-30-rotary-range-extender-confirmed/   TESLA GIGAFACTORY TEXAS TO INCLUDE BATTERY CELL PRODUCTION "Recent filings to the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TECQ) have hinted at something quite interesting about Tesla’s plans for Gigafactory Texas. Based on the documents, Tesla will not only be producing electric vehicles in the massive complex; it will also be operating a “cell-manufacturing unit” that will build battery packs for the company’s industry-leading EVs. " according to Teslarati: "As noted in a report from the Austin Business Journal, the filing itself did not specify if Tesla will be manufacturing its battery cells at the original 2,100-acre Gigafactory Texas complex, or at the nearby 381-acre site that the company recently acquired. That said, the Journal’s sources have pointed to Tesla mining lithium at an Austin site, despite the activity not being mentioned in the TECQ filings. Gigafactory Texas is Tesla’s most ambitious vehicle production facility yet, with the factory being tasked to build key products like the Cybertruck and the Semi."   https://www.teslarati.com/tesla-gigafcatory-texas-battery-cell-production-filings/   First Tesla Megapacks deployed at world’s largest battery project with PG&E "The first Tesla Megapacks have been deployed at what should become the world’s largest battery project with PG&E in California. In February, the project was officially approved and they started construction on the first phase of the project in July. Now PG&E confirmed that the first Megapacks have been deployed" says electrek: "The project will consists of 256 Tesla Megapack battery units. The energy capacity is going to be used to replace peaker plants and it is expected to save the electric utility over $100 million".   https://electrek.co/2020/10/08/tesla-megapacks-worlds-largest-battery-project-pge/   2 CONTRACTORS CHOSEN FOR TESLA'S $1.1B TEXAS FACTORY PROJECT "Accelerating its plans for a $1.1 billion Cybertruck plant, Tesla recently purchased an additional 381 acres in Austin, Texas, next to its 2,100-acre site to expand the manufacturing project’s footprint, according to the Austin American-Statesman." writes Construction Dive: "While no contractors have been officially announced for the project, Tesla procurement manager Jessica Munoz told the Community Impact Newspaper that two general contractors have been selected but not yet named. The firm also is looking for subcontractors for various jobs including site logistics, painting, flooring, fireproofing, interior finishing, plumbing, heating, ventilation, air conditioning and electrical projects. Tesla reportedly wants to open the plant by May 1, 2021 and is believed to be pursuing additional land purchases in Southeast Austin, according to the American-Statesman."   https://www.constructiondive.com/news/2-contractors-chosen-for-teslas-11b-texas-factory-project/586398/   DPD LAUNCHES GREEN DELIVERY SERVICE ACROSS THE UK "The parcel delivery firm, DPD, has announced its plan to deliver to 25 towns and cities across the UK with zero and low-emission delivery means by 2025. The move is part of a Europe-wide drive by the DPD Group involving 225 urban areas in 20 countries and is based on a delivery model trialled in many cities, including London."   https://fashionunited.uk/news/retail/dpd-launches-green-delivery-service-across-the-uk/2020100651253   SEAT BEGINS CONSTRUCTION ON BATTERY LAB IN SPAIN "SEAT has begun work on its future Test Center Energy (TCE), the new automotive battery lab that will be located at the SEAT plant in Martorell. With an investment of more than €7 million, the new center will develop and test various energy systems for electric and hybrid vehicles." says Green Car COngress: "The future building, the construction of which will be completed in April 2021, will have an area of around 1,500 square meters and include different test spaces for the evaluation of cell modules with lithium-ion technology, medium- and high-voltage batteries, as well as different chargers used in the entire range of electrified vehicles."   https://www.greencarcongress.com/2020/10/20201008-seat.html   LIME ADDS WHEELS SHARED E-BIKES TO ITS APP "The next time you open Lime’s smartphone app, you may see a new type of vehicle that isn’t an electric scooter. The San Francisco-based company announced today that it is integrating Wheels, a shared electric bike startup, into its app so customers can rent an e-bike from Wheels as easily as they would a scooter from Lime." says The Verge: "Lime plans to add more shared mobility services to its app in the coming months as it seeks to become both a provider and platform for all two-wheeled electric transport. The “ultimate goal,” a spokesperson said, is to own “all light electric vehicle trips under 5 miles.” Wheels’ e-bikes will be available in Lime’s app starting this winter in four cities: Austin, Miami, Seattle, and Berlin. To rent a Wheels bike, Lime customers will scan the QR code on the handlebar, just as they would a scooter. Nearby vehicles will appear on the map along with pricing information automatically."   https://www.theverge.com/2020/10/8/21506805/lime-wheels-app-integrate-scooter-bike-mobility     You can listen to all 902 previous episodes of this this for free, where you get your podcasts from, plus the blog https://www.evnewsdaily.com/ – remember to subscribe, which means you don’t have to think about downloading the show each day, plus you get it first and free and automatically. PHIL ROBERTS / ELECTRIC FUTURE (PREMIUM PARTNER) BRAD CROSBY (PREMIUM PARTNER) AVID TECHNOLOGY (PREMIUM PARTNER) PORSCHE OF THE VILLAGE CINCINNATI (PREMIUM PARTNER) AUDI CINCINNATI EAST (PREMIUM PARTNER) VOLVO CARS CINCINNATI EAST (PREMIUM PARTNER) NATIONALCARCHARGING.COM and ALOHACHARGE.COM  (PREMIUM PARTNER) DEREK REILLY FROM THE EV REVIEW IRELAND YOUTUBE CHANNEL (PREMIUM PARTNER) RICHARD AT RSYMONS.CO.UK – THE ELECTRIC VEHICLE SPECIALIST (PREMIUM PARTNER)   DAVID AND LISA ALLEN (PARTNER) OEM AUDIO OF NEW ZEALAND AND EVPOWER.CO.NZ (PARTNER) GARETH HAMER eMOBILITY NORWAY HTTPS://WWW.EMOBILITYNORWAY.COM/  (PARTNER) BOB BOOTHBY – MILLBROOK COTTAGES AND ELOPEMENT WEDDING VENUE (PARTNER) DARIN MCLESKEY FROM DENOVO REAL ESTATE (PARTNER) JUKKA KUKONEN FROM WWW.SHIFT2ELECTRIC.COM RAJEEV NARAYAN (PARTNER)   ALAN ROBSON (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) ALAN SHEDD (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) ALEX BANAHENE (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) ALEXANDER FRANK @ https://www.youtube.com/c/alexsuniverse42 ANDERS HOVE (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) ANDREA JEFFERSON (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) ASEER KHALID (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) ASHLEY HILL (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) BÅRD FJUKSTAD (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) BRENT KINGSFORD (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) BRIAN THOMPSON (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) BRUCE BOHANNAN (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) CHARLES HALL (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) CHRIS HOPKINS (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) COLIN HENNESSY AND CAMBSEV (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) CRAIG COLES (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) CRAIG ROGERS (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) DAMIEN DAVIS (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) DARREN FEATCH (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) DAVE DEWSON (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) DAVID FINCH (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) DAVID MOORE (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) DAVID PARTINGTON (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) DAVID PRESCOTT (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) DON MCALLISTER / SCREENCASTSONLINE.COM (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) ERU KYEYUNE-NYOMBI (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) FREDRIK ROVIK (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) GENE RUBIN (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) GILBERTO ROSADO (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) GEOFF LOWE (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) HEDLEY WRIGHT (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) IAN GRIFFITHS (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) IAN SEAR (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) IAN (WATTIE) WATKINS (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) JACK OAKLEY (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) JAMES STORR (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) JIM MORRIS (EXECUTIVE PRODICERS) JOHN C SOLAR (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) JON AKA BEARDY MCBEARDFACE FROM KENT EVS (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) JON MANCHAK (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) JUAN GONZALEZ (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) KEN MORRIS (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) KEVIN MEYERSON (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) KYLE MAHAN (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) LARS DAHLAGER (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) LAURENCE D ALLEN (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) LEE BROWN (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) LUKE CULLEY (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) MARCEL WARD (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) MARK BOSSERT (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) MARTY YOUNG  (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) MATT PISCIONE (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) MIA OPPELSTRUP (PARTNER) MICHAEL PASTRONE (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) MIKE WINTER (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) NATHAN GORE-BROWN (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) NEIL E ROBERTS FROM SUSSEX EVS (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) NICHOLAS MILLER (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) NIGEL MILES (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) OHAD ASTON (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) PAUL RIDINGS (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) PAUL STEPHENSON (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) PETE GLASS (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) PETE GORTON (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) PETER & DEE ROBERTS FROM OXON EVS (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) PHIL MOUCHET (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) PHILIP TRAUTMAN (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) RAJ BADWAL (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) RENE KEEMIK (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) RENÉ SCHNEIDER (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) RICHARD LUPINSKY (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) ROB HERMANS (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) ROB FROM THE RSTHINKS EV CHANNEL ON YOUTUBE (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) RUPERT MITCHELL (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) SEIKI PAYNE (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) STEPHEN PENN (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) STEVE JOHN (EXECUTIVE PRODUCER) THOMAS J. We are back after our unscheduled prolong hiatus with a Mini Special; we sat down with the legendary drummer Marky Ramone. The original plan was to sit down for an hour with Marky and speak about early life and then onto the Ramones and beyond but… Marky got into London late and as you will hear in the interview that hour-long chat was cut short by his tour manager, little to my knowledge beforehand! So, the original plan was to tag it to the end of the already released Episode 42 Ramones Museum episode. Kind of like a re-release but that went to shit when the hard drive kamikaze itself. I didn't want the short interview to go to waste as what we had was good stuff, so we’ve created this short special. We will be back for reals in October, you can help the podcast get back on its feet by going to pick up a T-shirt via our Etsy site, or you can donate via the ''Go-fund' me page. Until October x

This case became one of the biggest unsolved mysteries in Poland’s criminal history. Until October 2017, when a local man was arrested. 2018.09.17 This documentary covers the story of the young Emirati, Dr. Khaled Al-Suwaidi, who, on February 3, 2018, ran a 327-kilometer, 80-hour ultramarathon from Fujairah Port in Fujairah to Zayed Port in Abu Dhabi. It was the first time someone had ever run such a distance in the United Arab Emirates. Dr. Khaled dedicated this initiative to raise funds for the Cancer Patient Care Society (Rahma), which was established by his father, Prof. Jamal Sanad Al-Suwaidi. Dr. Khaled believes that in order to reach maturity and personality growth, and to be able to comfortably deal with all difficulties, it is important to step outside of one’s “comfort zone” and accept “self-suffering.” Until October 2017, Dr. Khaled had had no running experience. Since his childhood, he has also had a case of “flat feet,” which is an obstacle to running. Nevertheless, this only added to his determination to achieve his goal. By following a very strict exercise regime, he was able to obtain victory in this difficult battle.

Ash Barker & Graham Hill discuss serving Jesus among the urban poor. The GlobalChurch Project, podcast episode 4.From 2002 to 2013, Ash Barker with wife Anji and their children lived in Klong Toey, the largest slum in Bangkok. Forget lemonade stands, Stephen Flynn is building a brand around tap water. Tap is the perfect water bottle and app to access free water in your city. In an effort to reduce the amount of plastic bottles ending up in landfills they created an app and network allowing people to find nearby places to refill their water bottle at the touch of of a button. They partner with local coffee shops, fast-casual restaurants and other small businesses to be Authorized Refill Stations on the Tap app. In short: How Stephen came up with this idea. What it’s like being at the heart of a new business. How his experience in advertising carried over to entrepreneurship. His advice for my content!
