He emphasizes the importance of preparing students for a future where AI is prevalent in the workforce, advocating for a collaborative approach where AI acts as a co-pilot in education. Find out more at effectiveness.org. Produced by Jamie Howell at Howell at the Moon Productions. Jeff Utecht goes deep into how AI tools like ChatGPT-4 have the potential to revolutionize the classroom. Utecht helps us navigate the delicate balance of excitement and fear around AI's role in education, offering valuable insights into how educators can best serve their students in this new era. "Our job is to prepare students for their future, not for our past," according to Utecht. We explore the necessity for educators to evolve along with these groundbreaking tools to ensure students gain the relevant skills needed in an AI-driven world. Yet, how can we prepare students for a future we barely understand ourselves? Utecht challenges the common belief that AI hampers learning by drawing powerful parallels to the historical resistance faced by other technological advancements from calculators to the internet. He also shares practical advice on how to tackle challenges such as student cheating, the importance of clarity in educational goals and the three key A.I. policies you'll want to have in place as you begin the coming school year.

Karl Vaters interviews Aron Utecht, a pastor and the host of the Good Ideas for Churches podcast. Karl and Aron talk about some of the positive trends he's been seeing in the church and among pastors, including a refocusing on mission rather than an obsession with methods. They also talk about the value of podcasting for pastors and churches, including what question we must answer before we're ready to ask “should I start a podcast?” Hint: sometimes the answer is “no”. In a lot of situations the best use of our limited time and energy may be to invest ourselves even deeper into the church and the surrounding community with low-tech, hands-on touches. So Aron encourages us not to get enamored with the tools and toys. Know what God has called you to do, then do it in the best way you know. If that's a high-tech answer, fine. Alles bestens also? Ja!!!

Becoming a priest is a countercultural choice. Priests dress differently. They're celibate. And they give their life over completely to a Church in the name of a God they can't "see" (in the traditional sense). Why? In their final days before being ordained, we posed this question and others to Deacons John Utecht (Archdiocese of Saint Paul and Minneapolis), Nathan Pacer (Rockford, Illinois) and Scott Padrnos (Duluth, Minnesota). We also discussed their time in seminary and their journeys as priests that have really only just begun. Produced by The Seminaries of Saint Paul, the Joyful Catholic Leaders Show shares stories and insights from those who lead with faith -- from the seminary, to the parish, to the classroom, to the office, to the sports field and everywhere in between.

Matt Whitman originally went to school to study law. After a family tragedy struck, he came home to fill in for his dad as pastor of their church, which took him down a path of ministry that led to the eventual creation of his popular podcast and YouTube channel. Each day, the Ten Minute Bible Hour podcast provides listeners with a “fast, fun, deep dive” into the Bible. And as you can probably guess, it's only a 10-minute listen! Matt also has a YouTube channel, which offers video titles that range from “A Protestant Talks With A Catholic Priest” to “Who Picked What Books Went In The Bible?”Today, Matt and his co-worker Aron Utecht are talking with us about the weight of ministry, why it's important to remember that the Gospel also applies to pastors, and why people are more drawn to “normal pastors” rather than “experts.” Our conversation with these guys was interesting and full of great thoughts—I hope you enjoy it as much as I did!   Show Notes:  https://www.95network.org/the-10-minute-bible-hour-accepting-gods-grace-as-a-pastor-w-matt-whitman-aron-utecht-episode-131/Support the show

On this episode of the podcast, Ben talks about overcoming 5 concussions, making the decision to retire, how he ended up on the Colts after a promise from Tony Dungy, what it is like to win a Super Bowl and how God has sustained him through the trials of post concussions symptoms, even to the point of thinking his mind might literally slip away.  You can order Ben's book "Counting the Days Until My Mind Slips Away" on Amazon.  For more, log on to http://SportsSpectrum.com
