"The meaning of life is just to be alive. It's so plain and so obvious and so simple. And yet, everybody rushes around in a great panic as if it were necessary to achieve something beyond themselves." - Alan Watts A woman's decision to not have children can be the result of many different factors, all of which are valid reasons. However, more often than not, society, and specifically other women, view those childless women as deficient. In this episode, Coco is joined by Amy of Caz & Kozy, to chat about their choice to not have children. --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/laterthisweek/message Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/laterthisweek/support
Who can find a virtuous woman? for her price is far above rubies. The heart of her man safely trusts in her, so that he shall have no need of spoil. She will do him good and not evil all the days of her life. She seeks wool, and flax, and works willingly with her hands. She is like the merchants' ships; she brings her food from afar. She rises also while it is yet night, and gives meat to her household, and a portion to her maidens. A Womens Worth, the start of a month of episodes dedicated to uplifting and encouraging the women in my life. Your Worth If you’re not being treated with love and respect, please check your “price tag.” Perhaps you’ve marked yourself down and not realized it. Its you who tells people what you’’re work by what you accept on a daily basis. We don’t hear what you say because you are always talking. We do see what you put up with though. Get off the “clearance rack and get behind the glass where they keep the top shelf and the valuable stuff. Bottom line is you need to value yourself more.

Hey ya’ll hey! Thanks for tuning into Episode 59 of Tellemtiptoldyou—"A Woman’s Worth.” Honey!!! Happy International Women’s Day! Today’s episode of the podcast is all about women and the work they do to make this world a better place. I’ll share one of my favorite stories of the orisa Osun and how it allows us to see the critical nature in divine efficiency and how Osun’s behavior can help inform the strategies used by women who feel overworked and/or invisible. I remind you that it is not Black women’s responsibility to save the world, even if we do so time and time again. I share with you four strategies non-women can take to honor us and four strategies we must take to be well. I’ll end the podcast wishing you a “Decade of No.” Wonder what I mean? Listen and let me know what you think. After you tune in, let me know what you think of this episode by leaving me a 5 star review! Please, and thank you (smile). What most people already know is that life is hard. What few fail to mention is that life continues to be hard even when the women in our lives make it look easy. My wife was unbelievably stressed out the last few days and I tried my best to remind her that her life is difficult. I did not try to fix her stress or invalidate her feeling - what I DID try to do is help her reframe her thinking so she could see that her best was good enough and sometimes life will beat us up - we just gotta try to get back up. In this episode, I talk to my wife, Nada, about how much she means to me and to this world. The world is a better and brighter place with her in it and I want all the men that are listening to make sure they take the time to let their wife, mother, daughter, sister, etc know that, even when the chips are stacked against them, we will be allies for them through every step of the way. --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/marc-paisant7/message Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/marc-paisant7/support

Tuesday Night Live 1 September 2020. A Woman's Worth. Women have already changed the world. We did it not by competing with each other or trying to do what men do. We are bringing about change by remembering who we truly are. We need to value and care for ourselves and each other as divine beings. We must continue to be our authentic selves - nuturing, intuitive, intelligent, giving and loving. The worth of women has been a subject of controversy from the very beginning. But a right understanding of the worth of women benefits everyone. In their book, “Worthy—Celebrating the Value of Women“, authors Elyse Fitzpatrick and Eric Schumacher share from the pages of Scripture the worth and role of women as prescribed by God. Listen in as Denise continues her interview with Elyse Fitzpatrick and Eric Schumacher as they dive into Scripture together to explore how women fit into the church’s redemption story and into the new world. ***Bonuses*** Leave a comment to be entered to receive a free copy of their book. We can all try to get our worth from the world surrounding us, but finding worth in the world will leave us feeling worthless. From beginning to end the Bible affirms women, who have intrinsic value because they—just as men—are created in God's image. This episode was inspired by the book A Woman’s Worth by Marianne Williamson where she says, “You need not apologise for being brilliant, talented, gorgeous, rich or smart. Your success does not take away from anyone else’s.” During this episode, I ponder the theory of making yourself small to serve others and why that doesn’t work. There are passages in God's law that might cause a woman to wonder her worth. But in fact, the law was written to protect women and communicate their worth as image bearers of God. Join us as we discuss some of the more difficult passages related to women in the Old Testament law, as well as cultural values that are different from our own.
In this message, Kendall continues our series on the surprises of God by talking about the revival of Dorcas. Just how valuable is a widow, anyway? And what does it mean to imitate Jesus in the middle of our ordinary acts of kindness?

Sexy Spirituality podcast Episode 8: A Message for Our Girls Co-Hosts Lezli Goodwin Sonia Byrne Nicole Von Atzingen Check In Nicole: I spent the last three days painting the center office. They don't teach that in ministerial school! Sonia: Lezli, Kimjera and I spent the last week in Denver at Centers for Spiritual Living home office, sitting for our final oral panels to become ministers. Lezli: We can sure give feedback on what could be added to the ministerial school curriculum -- apparently office painting, podcast 101... Lezli: "A Message for Our Girls" There are so many messages being tossed at our girls and young women today. Messages about their appearance, how they should act, what they should value, what they can do. It's overwhelming. What I want our girls to hear is that there is so much more to them than what other people expect. You are spirit, you are soul, you are wisdom, you are intelligence, you are creativity. You can do or be anything. Roundtable with Sonia Byrne & Nicole Von Atzingen The US political and cultural situation (with Me Too, Time's Up, etc.) is reflective of the international situation. The same issues are affecting women and girls all over the world. We want young women to know that they are expressions of the feminine divine, the goddess. The reason we find ourselves oppressed across history is because we are so powerful. The female is the place of ultimate creativity -- of birth. This can be the creation of life, the creation of ideas, the creation of all kinds of goodness. Being raised in a teaching like New Thought offers girls and young women to be with their strength, their feelings, their vulnerability. What a difference it makes to be surrounded by these messages when you are young. Resilience studies suggest that the most important factor in how well a young person handles trauma is the presence of one adult who thinks they matter. That brings up the idea of mentors for young women. Look for someone who has what you want, ask for guidance and listen. Tell Us Something Good! Sonia I am facilitating a book study that starts tonight, focusing on Marianne Williamson's book "A Woman's Worth." There is still time to join our 5 week study, meeting at 7:00 PM EST via Zoom technology. Sexy Spirituality podcast Episode 5: Music Changes Everything Today's Hosts: Lezli Goodwin Kimjera Whittington Sonia Byrne and special guest host Amy Steinberg Check In Halloween costumes are on our minds... Lezli Goodwin: "Music Changes Everything" On the spiritual path, seemingly small choices add up to a huge difference in how you feel about your life and yourself. We all know that music sets a tone – think about the music you choose for a romantic evening vs the music you choose for an intense workout. Negative, heavy, dark music can contribute to similar feelings. Positive, joyful, spiritual music can support that kind of lifestyle. We’ve all had the experience of the song that touched us so deeply it literally changed our lives. What if we curated the music we listen to intentionally to affect us in positive ways? That doesn’t mean you can’t have your guilty pleasures, but in moderation. Roundtable with Kimjera Whittington, Sonia Byrne & Amy Steinberg Reclaiming words like holy, spirit and God can really be a big part of opening to new music. High vibration choices can shift the energy of your day, even when the coffee maker is broken. We can speak to anything through music. It's important to be honest and authentic. What we focus on grows, yes, but we have to process our feelings before we can turn back to the positive. Anything else is spiritual bypass. Looking at the shadow is legitimate, and a real part of wholeness. Sometimes the "crying songs" are the highest vibration songs, because they are about owning the whole soul. When we deny what's happening right now (not from the cosmic truth, but from what we are in), that can be a very low vibration. Depression, terminal illness and pain are real things. What am I willing to let go and trust? What am I willing to let Spirit do? (Looking at the journey from "It's happening TO me, BY me, THROUGH me, AS me.") Amy is working on New Thought praise music, which is so deeply needed in the spiritual world. It touches our hearts so deeply. "My vision in life is to meet women in their most insecure moments and flip that script for them," says Emily Sexton. She went into college wanting to be a backup dancing for Britney Spears, went to work at a Swiss investment bank after graduation, and is a successful female entrepreneur. Her boutique, The Flourish Market, features products made from artisans all over the world. A 2 a.m. Pinterest scroll sparked the idea for a fashion truck or a “boutique on wheels,” and now she has a Flourish Market shop in Raleigh, North Carolina where this amazing lady is living her message. Emily has artisans from all over the world sell their products through Flourish Market, some are from third-world countries. Her hope is that these women in the first-world can learn from the women in the third-world countries represented in her shop. She remembers opening Flourish Market on Black Friday and not having any discounts, but having women buy products anyway. She says, “Women aren't necessarily looking for deals; they're looking for a purpose.” This episode is possible because of all of our patreons! Not that MEN DONT HAVE it but we often try to run away from it. We all have greatness but I wanted to tell women that it's a strength that you should use. --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/edtalksdaily/support
