I started this podcast in 2020 which was the beginning of global events that encouraged us to take time to pause, make changes and heal, to ask questions and listen for the answers. Exploring change and carving new paths is an invitation to listen to your inner guidance. The conversations and guests on this podcast have listened to their inner voice and birthed new ways of being in the world. Annalena Tonelli aspira all'assoluto, Annalena Benini davanti all'assoluto vacilla. Come tutti noi.

Meet Marianne Williamson Marianne Williamson is a bestselling author, political activist, and spiritual thought leader. She has been a leader in spiritual and religiously progressive circles for over three decades. She is the author of 15 books, four of which have been #1 New York Times bestsellers. Williamson founded Project Angel Food, a non-profit organization that has delivered more than 14 million meals to ill and dying homebound patients since 1989. The group was created to help people suffering from the ravages of HIV/AIDS. She has also worked throughout her career on poverty, anti-hunger, and racial reconciliation issues. In 2004, she co-founded The Peace Alliance and supports the creation of a U.S. Department of Peace. Williamson ran for the Democratic nomination for president in 2020. And she'll be running for president again in 2024! To learn more about how you can support Marianne, go to: Marianne2024.com   This conversation was one I'd been waiting to have for years. I became a fan of Marianne's years ago when I read her book Illuminata and became interested in A Course In Miracles. Marianne is known for her brilliant wisdom, spiritual teachings, and social justice work based on the principles from A Course In Miracles. I recently read Marianne's book, "A Politics of Love: A Handbook for a New American Revolution," and was overwhelmed by her visionary perspective on bridging the gap between spirituality and politics. We discussed the tenets in the book and how to start shifting our relationship to politics and ourselves through the practical application of love, well-being for all, and social justice.    Love as a Transformative Force Marianne Williamson asserts that love is not merely a personal or romantic sentiment but a powerful force for positive societal change. We discussed how politics devoid of love and compassion perpetuates division and suffering, while politics grounded in love can heal and transform. This is as basic as seeing a child who's hungry and feeding them. We are wired for love and compassion, yet somewhere along the line lose this innate connection.    Moral and Spiritual Awakening Marianne calls for a moral and spiritual awakening among individuals and society, as a whole. This means changing our internal narrative of not being political, which I can relate to. She is urging us to take a stand for democracy, or we seriously risk losing our freedom. Marianne believes an inner transformation is essential for addressing the pressing challenges we face collectively, such as inequality, environmental degradation, and social injustice. This brings us to why we must all do our inner work to heal past traumas, resentments, and grievances. In other words, you must do your part to be your ‘You-est You' before we can be our ‘We-est We.'    Politics as an Expression of Love Marianne also encourages individuals to engage in politics to express their deepest values and spiritual beliefs. She emphasizes the importance of aligning political choices with personal integrity, empathy, and a commitment to the common good. Love in action is how we commit to greater social justice and economic equality. This means we do our inner work to address systemic injustices perpetuating poverty, racism, sexism, and other forms of oppression. I love that Marianne focuses on love-based politics that can bring about meaningful change and create a more equitable society. As she shared in this interview, let us not forget Abraham Lincoln's poignant quote, “With malice toward none with charity for all.”   Taking Personal Responsibility  Don't underestimate your importance and power in creating greater change for freedom, justice, and joy for everyone. Marianne stands for putting "A Politics of Love" into action by embracing the question, ‘What is the most loving thing you can do here?', and a commitment to social justice. She takes a holistic viewpoint toward transforming our society and country.    It's Time We All Do Shadow Work Doing shadow work means meeting the challenging and triggering parts of ourselves that need, want, and require our compassion, attention, and love. What is needed on an individual level is also needed at a collective level. We discussed the necessity of our society owning that in addition to our inner shadows, ego-based judgments, and ‘attack thoughts', we also have this work to do on a national and collective level. This is something that we can all strive to do every time we embrace a challenging situation or person with love, understanding, and true forgiveness.    A Free Toolset To Design Your Best Life This stunning free toolset is a 7-day workbook (25 pages full) of powerful mindset practices, grounding meditations (and audio), a new beautiful time management system and template to set your personalized schedule for your best productivity, a personalized energy assessment, and so much more.

Talking Out Your Glass podcast

In a time of darkness, Julie Conway relies upon her studio practice for survival, but also as a means of sharing sparkle, beauty and light with the rest of the world. A glass artist and lighting designer, she founded Illuminata Art Glass Design LLC to offer bespoke, luxurious custom lighting designed to amplify molten glass and its abilities to refract and reflect light. Named in homage to the Italian Renaissance thinkers and artists who expanded public consciousness, Illuminata currently offers a new version of enlightenment for the masses.  Says Conway: “We are dealing with grief, emotions, change, and finding life routines. There have been some solitary days in the studio. I put my time into some deep designing and launching new content on my new readymade website. My team and I have returned to blowing glass in limited capacity with a few extra juggling steps, but I am so happy to be back producing glass and installing new commissions. For me, it has been so important to have my studio practice. Getting lost in creative projects has now become a mode of survival. I feel that we must continue to find things that inspire us. The only way through is through. Feel the light. It is here for us.”  A passionate collaborator, Conway works closely with architects, designers and clients to create extraordinary hand-made, illuminated glassworks. She conceives all site-specific original designs and executes their fabrication in the hotshop with her team. Crafting the suspension systems, creating the blueprints for armatures, and integrating the technical electrical components are all part of her process. By communicating and coordinating with teams of electricians, installers, architects, designers and clients, her artistic vision is achieved. Merging concepts of art installation with functional design, spaces are transformed by light. She says: “Light is fascination, attraction, a beacon, it is life. Light travels for eons before our existence. We see it after the millennia have past and the fleeting moment is gone.” Beginning in 1997 in Santa Fe, New Mexico, Conway took her first steps on the pathway to glass working as an apprentice for three and a half years alongside a glass production artist. From 2003 to 2011, she served as a class organizer, teaching assistant and Italian translator for various glassmaking classes on the island of Murano. Subsequently, she spent years teaching glassblowing and flameworking herself at Public Glass, San Francisco, and Pratt Fine Arts, Seattle. In addition to lighting, Conway creates glass jewelry, small sculpture and Christmas ornaments from her workspace within Seattle’s Equinox Studio, a nexus of collaboration where artists often contribute to each other’s projects and have renter equity in a collection of industrial buildings.  Recent awards include Conway’s selection as the 2017/ 2018 Visiting Artist for Motif Seattle, a hotel that blends its identity to the vision of an area artist on a rotating basis. In 2018, the artist participated in LuxLumen, an art glass lighting exhibition for Berengo Studio and Gallery, shown during the Venice Biennale in Murano.  Her work FracTur(ed), exhibited at Glasstastic, the Bellevue Arts Museum Glass Biennial exhibition, won the global lighting award from Light in Theory.  In 2019, she designed, created and installed chandeliers at SeaTac Airport and Din Tai Fung in Seattle.   In 2007, Conway founded BioGlass, a non-profit organization dedicated to increasing the efficiency of glass studios and glass making practices, and disseminating the latest information on the best practices to lower energy usage in glass studios. On a recent trip to Mexico, the artist began a collaboration project for her new LUMI Collection, making products from recycled glass and using a biofuels furnace with zero carbon footprint. Conway’s work evolved outside of the gallery scene due to the functionality of glass lighting. Instead, her illuminated installations adorn luxury hotels, bars, restaurants, award-winning homes and museum exhibitions. The Illuminata collection is an intentional juxtaposition of elegant blown glass forms and industrial elements surrounding patterns of light and shadow unique to Conway’s artistic expression, merging concepts of art installation with functional design. The result is the transformation of space via light.

Aired Wednesday, 9 January 2019, 8:00 PM ETMarianne Williamson – The Politics of LoveWhen I grew up in the 1960’s and seventies, there was a sense of rebirth and renewal in our country. Many of us started looking upon one another and brother and sister and embraced the ideas of sharing, caring love and peace. We lived these ideals as best we could with the hope that future generations would equally embrace them. Somewhere along the way, we have strayed from that path. We have birthed a generation of divisiveness, ego based actions and fear. Is there a way that we can return to the spirit of embracing diversity, caring for one another and moving from fear to love? My guest this week on Destination Unlimited, Marianne Williamson, says there is.Marianne Williamson is an internationally acclaimed lecturer, activist and author of four #1 New York times bestselling books. She has been one of America’s most well known public voices for more than three decades. Seven of her twelve published books have been New York Times best sellers and Marianne has been a popular guest on television programs such as Oprah, Good Morning America, and Bill Maher. A quote from the mega best seller A Return to Love, “Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure…” is considered an anthem for a contemporary generation of seekers.Marianne’s other books include The Law of Divine Compensation, The Age of Miracles, Everyday Grace, A Woman’s Worth, Illuminata, Healing the Soul of America, A Course in Weight Loss, The Gift of Change, Enchanted Love, A Year of Miracles, and Tears to Triumph: The Spiritual Journey from Suffering to Enlightenment. Her newest book, A Politics of Love: Handbook for a New American Revolution, will be published in 2019.Marianne is a native of Houston, Texas. In 1989, she founded Project Angel Food, a meals-on-wheels program that serves home-bound people with AIDS in the Los Angeles area. To date, Project Angel Food has served over 11 million meals. Marianne also co-founded the Peace Alliance. She joins me to discuss her new book and her plans to explore a run to become the next President of the United States!

Commento al Vangelo del giorno

Play Episode Listen Later Sep 30, 2016 13:36

(cfr. Is. 14,12-15). No di certo, anzi.

(cfr. Is. 14,12-15). No di certo, anzi. We are so excited this week to have Marianne Williamson on the Authentic Living Show to talk to us about her latest NY Times Bestseller, A Course in Weight Loss: 21 Spiritual Lessons for Surrendering Your Weight Forever. Most of us already know several of Marianne's other books, including The Age of Miracles, Everyday Grace, A Woman's Worth, Illuminata, Healing the Soul of America and The Gift of Change, for as Time Magazine puts it, Yoga, the Cabala and Marianne Williamson have been taken up by those seeking a relationship with God that is not strictly tethered to Christianity. We also know that thousands of books have been published on weight loss. But none of these books can offer the permanent plan offered in A Course in Weight Loss. Nor do they offer the powerful lessons in transformational surrender that this book clarifies so well. This could be a life-changing discussion today—don't let yourself miss it!
