Markets may change, but principles stay the same throughout time. In today's episode of The Real Estate Podcast, Jimmy goes over 7 different principles you can apply to your real estate business to see EXPLOSIVE growth. The Rule of 5 If there's a tree growing in your backyard and you want it gone, take an ax and hit the tree with it 5 times. Eventually, that tree WILL fall. The rule of 5 is pretty simple: It says that if you do 5 actions CONSISTENTLY, sooner or later you WILL find success in them. It may take a long time, or be quick, but doing it consistently will make it happen. Instead of chopping down a tree, think of 5 things YOU can do for your real estate business to see growth. The things that Jimmy personally recommends for any agent to focus on consistently are: Maintaining a consistent flow of leads, maintaining a follow-up system for past clients, ensuring a constant flow of new listings, having daily real estate conversations, and finally working with the hottest potential leads. Whether or not you focus on THESE, do 5 things consistently to see success in your business. The Power of One More The power of one more is another pretty simple, but POWERFUL principle. It states that doing ONE more thing, whether that be finding one more lead or adding value to one more client, it'll generate compound interest. Compound interest is VITAL to growing your business. Just like the rule of 5, find something you can put just a LITTLE BIT more effort into each day. It may be finding new listings or following up with clients, but just do one more additional thing and you'll generate compound interest for your business. A famous saying says “Compound interest is the 8th wonder of the world”, so take advantage of that world wonder! “If you can help just enough people get what they want, you can get whatever you want.” Instead of focusing on what's in it for YOU, focus on what your clients are getting out of your deals. A common motif in the sales world is to focus on being an ADVISOR to your buyers, not a salesperson. This builds trust with your client and helps close deals. Focus on answering questions your buyer may have and offer guidance through the entire deal. If they're first-time homeowners, give them PLENTY of information. If they're renting, let them know if they can buy, if they're selling then let them know the value of their property. Offer tidbits of information like that. With real estate, if you focus on giving your clients what THEY want, instead of what you want, you'll start to build a relationship with them. From this relationship, you can get leads and expand your sphere of influence. This ALL translates to growth for your business. The Compound Effect The compound effect is basically a combination of the power of one more and the rule of 5. What does it say? The compound effect says that the more effort we put into something, and the more consistent we are with it, the more success we'll see. You HAVE to do something consistently that will bring you success. They say practice makes perfect. So practice! Make SURE you're being consistent in your efforts. It could be ensuring you make calls often, follow up with clients, or generate new leads. Regardless of what it is, do it often and do it consistently. Your success will compound over time, meaning INSANE growth for you and your business. Your Past Doesn't Define You, It Prepares You Markets change, as do careers. This is ESPECIALLY true in the real estate world. Think about the 2008 recession and how it changed the market. Think about how 2020 changed the market. What worked in the past won't NECESSARILY work in the future. As a real estate agent, you have to remember that everything in your past has PREPARED you for your present, and future. Take whatever lessons you've learned in your past experiences and utilize them. However, be willing to learn new things as well. Constantly learn from your experiences to maintain business growth. You will face setbacks, but view them as a learning opportunity. “The harder I work, the luckier I seem to get.” No one becomes a successful real estate agent by being lazy and not working. All of the growth and success that Jimmy has seen during his real estate career came from times that he was working HARD and CONSISTENTLY, as is the case with every other real estate agent. You HAVE to be willing to get your hands dirty and focus on building your real estate business. The harder you work and expand your sphere of influence, the MORE OPPORTUNITIES you will get. As the saying says, you'll get luckier. “The path to success is to take massive action.” This quote from Tony Robbins is just as POWERFUL as it is TRUE. If you want to see massive growth in your real estate business, you have to take massive action. If you take massive, bold actions and work hard and consistently, you'll see the growth you're wanting for your real estate business. Be willing to take big deals or find huge amounts of leads. Whatever action you take, make sure it's a big action to see growth. As the new year begins and we work through the volatile real estate market, keep these principles in mind. Times and markets change, but principles remain true throughout time. Use all of these and you will ABSOLUTELY see your real estate business grow. Your Past Doesn't Define You. Your Present Doesn't Define You. But Who You Choose to Trust Does Define Your Future. We have all experienced a “meanwhile” in life when God is strategically laboring behind the scenes to work all things together for His good and for His glory. Sometimes a “meanwhile” can be an interminable and challenging “mean while.” Such is the story of Joseph – and it might be your life story as well! Joseph was a victim: of circumstances, of family dysfunction, of slavery, of unfair accusations, and of sexual harassment. However, none of those undeserved conditions impacted the ability of Joseph to walk in his destiny. Join Carol McLeod and I as she shares how you are the “Joseph” of your own story. There are relationships, abuse, and rejection that work against you but will never determine your God-ordained destiny. No matter what you are going through and regardless of how Satan has attacked your family, your productivity, or your freedom, you can trust that God is at work behind the scenes of your life. What the enemy meant for evil, your God will certainly use for good! Connect with Carol: https://www.carolmcleodministries.com

You can train yourself to be more motivated. It’s true! Especially when it comes to your health - start small, create a realistic plan that you’ll actually stick to, and see the results. I know you’ve tried in the past, but knowing the five steps to create a long-term improvement is the way forward. How to Make a Change: Pre-Contemplation Contemplation Planning Take Action Maintenance The Chief Complaint: "I Am Not Motivated to Improve My Health" It doesn’t matter what aspect of your health you want to improve, whether it’s your weight, strength, health conditions, or overall wellbeing, you do need some kind of motivation to stick to the change. There are five steps to making a long-term change. Your Past Doesn’t Have to Define Your Present Your past experiences with trying to improve your health can definitely impact how motivated you feel about making a change now. We end up drawing these overgeneralized beliefs that this time will be just the same. What you need to do is break it down into five steps. First, be in the pre-contemplation stage. Think about what making this positive change to your health could be and how it will impact your life. Then it’s time to actually contemplate it. Spend time realistically looking at what this improvement will mean for you and how you can make it more realistic for you. Because in order to make a long-term health improvement, the changes need to be realistic for you - yes, YOU, not the latest health fad celeb you’ve spotted on social media. Plan and Take Action But here’s where it gets fun. Once you’ve thought about making this change seriously, it’s time to make a plan. Your plan needs to be wholly realistic. If you know yourself that working out for 45 minutes, 5 days a week isn’t going to work for you - don’t plan that in. Regardless of what health improvements you want to make, setting realistic goals is the key here. When your plan is realistic, it’s also sustainable - and sustainability is the key to long-term success. Next, take that action, my friends! You’re armed with your realistic plan, start following through. Even if it doesn’t make sense for you, the biggest piece here is you actually taking the action to do whatever it is you’ve planned out. I want you to know, as well, that creating a new habit doesn’t happen overnight. Maintain your plan in the long-term to see your health improve. Your new habit will probably take about six months until it’s part of your routine. Homework for Women Physicians What are some of the realistic plans you’re ready to put in place? How will these improve your health? Let me know in the comments on the episode page. In This Episode How to approach the subject of improving your health with pre-contemplation [5:00] Why your plan needs to be realistic in order to keep yourself motivated [9:00] How to make a long-term change [12:00] How long it really takes to establish and change a habit [13:30] What happens when you take the action even if you don’t believe it [18:00] Quotes “A lot of times, based on the past experience that we’ve had, we draw an overgeneralized conclusion on how it’s going to go.” [2:55] “Sustainability is my favorite word. Sustainability is what we’re looking for. Because anybody can try something and get results and move on, but what we’re talking about is how we can go ahead and sustain these forever. We want forever results.” [11:11] “Action is fun! We’re getting results, we’re feeling strong. You’re going to start to have thoughts of, ‘I’m worth it. This is worth it. This is working. This feels good.’ Thoughts that create motivation. To drive you to take action to get you to the result that you want. I believe in you. I believe with my whole heart that you can get any results in your life.” [22:44] Resources Mentioned Check out the full episode page here Join the 5-Day New Year's Reset Join the Waitlist for G.O.A.L.S Society Find Life Coaching for Women Physicians Online Follow Dr. Ali Novitsky on Facebook | Instagram Subscribe to Life Coaching for Women Physicians on Apple Podcasts Podcast production by the team at Counterweight Creative Related Episodes Episode 5: Setting Realistic Goals for Your Body Type Episode 6: “I Can't Meet My Weight Loss Goals” Episode 13: “I Cannot Stick To An Exercise Routine”
Ryan Stewman is a high-performance sales coach and trainer who went from spending two stints in federal prison to building a multiple seven figure income. He is the author of several best-selling books including Kick-Ass, Bulletproof Business, Elevator to the Top, and Hardcore Closer. You can learn more and connect with Ryan at hardcorecloser.com Favorite Success Quote “You must take action before you can take over.” Key Points 1. Knowledge is Only Power if You Take Action You often hear the phrase “Knowledge is Power”. This simply isn’t true. In and of itself, knowledge is useless. Knowledge doesn’t do anything. It can’t add money to your bank account. It can’t make you ripped. It can’t help you find the woman of your dreams. It can’t do a damn thing. As the (in)famous entrepreneur and investor Derek Sivers said: If [more]information was the answer we’d all be billionaires with six packs. But we aren’t and it isn’t. Knowledge is only power if it’s applied. It’s only worth a damn if you use it. It only matters when you leverage your knowledge to take massively informed action towards achieving the life of your dreams. 2. Everything But Death is Temporary Everything in life is temporary. Good and bad. All of the pains, frustrations, and heartaches will eventually end. All of the success that you are enjoying will one day grind to a halt. Everything in your life will end. And this is a beautiful thing. Because life is temporary and fleeting, like the cliche feather in the wind, everything falls into place. When you are struggling you know that your struggles are temporary. When you are at the top, you take the time to savor the moment because you know that it will end. Keep perspective on your life, the good and the bad, by always remembering that “This too shall pass”. 3. Your Past Doesn’t Matter This year alone, Ryan’s company will generate more multi-millions of dollars in revenue. Which illustrates a very important lesson… Your past doesn’t fucking matter. Who you were yesterday has no bearing on who you are today and Ryan is living proof of this. At 19, Ryan was strung out on every drug that you can imagine and dealing full time to make ends meet. He was eventually busted by the feds and sent to federal prison for several years. When he was released, he dove into the world of sales and eventually, was making so much money in real estate that he was again targeted by the police who thought he was still selling drugs. They raided his house and found zero evidence of any drug possession, use, or trafficking. In order to save face, they arrested for felon possession of a firearm (which resided in a legal grey zone). He was sentenced to prison again except this time, his then-wife stole all of his assets and left him for the man with whom she’d been having an affair. Talk about a mess, right? Upon his second release, Ryan dove into the world of sales again taking special care to keep his nose clean and, in the last two years, has grown his sales coaching business from $0 to multimillions in revenue. If a convicted felon and former junky who lost everything can rise from the ashes and rebuild his life to the top then so can you. So cut the excuses and quit using your past as a crutch. You are capable of achieving anything that you desire. But you have to overcome your excuses and hustle. 4. It’s All Sales In life and business, you must become a master of sales. I know that the word conjures up images of sleazy used car dealers and snake oil peddlers but let me assure you, everything that you do is sales. Want to meet the woman of your dreams and convince her to marry you? That’s sales. Want to get funding for your new startup? That’s sales. Want to convince your kids that it’s important to read personal growth books and regularly exercise? That’s sales. Want to get your boss to give you a raise or move forward with one of your ideas? You guess it! Sales. Everything that you do is sales or, to put it in less cringy terminology, influence. If you lack this skill then your quality of life and success will suffer. If you can master it then the world is your oyster. 5. Take Massive Action. Fast Although I’ve already mentioned the importance of taking massive action in this article, it’s a point worth repeating. Experience is the best teacher and there is no book or course that can serve as a shortcut for rolling up your sleeves and getting your hands dirty. Your goal in business and life should be to acquire the MVIR or ‘minimum viable information required’ to take action on your next step. I’m not recommending that you simply take action without a plan or system to support you. I am saying that you should take action as soon as you have a concrete next step. You know what you need to do to improve your body, boost your income, or improve your love life. So go and do it. Once you’ve taken action, collect the MVIR for the next step and take action again. Information is important. But in a world where more than 2.5 million blog posts are published each day, information can also be a massive obstacle.
This week’s episode is Why You Don't Have What You Want, Part 2. We wanted to look at how one might stay in the past and this will create a form of resistance. Staying in the past means that we are in attachment to things that have happened. It also may mean that we are using a past mindset, a past energy. Which can keep us from what we want. Hosts: Nick and KISMA 02:33 The Reset Button There's a difference between truly having a retreat and having some space. When we're talking about hitting the reset button it is breaking up the energy, getting it out so that we can actually see some of the things that we've been doing. What you might be resisting in your life is super key because when you are able to get out of resistance, like so many people talk about wanting to have more ease in their life, well that is the opposite of resistance, right? There's something that has to change in what we are doing, it's really something inside of us that needs to change. Nick 04:22 Living in the Past Today in this part two, we wanted to look at how one might stay in the past and this will create a form of resistance. Staying in the past means that we are in attachment to things that have happened. It also may mean that we are using a past mindset, a past energy. Definitely an old perspective to create something new. And so you can see where that's problematic. Einstein said: you can't solve a problem with the same mindset that created it. When we are stuck in the past it's like shutting the door to being able to step into this new receptive state to receive something new. KISMA 5:21 The Feedback Loop What you're describing is a feedback loop. So how it works in a really simple way is people drag their old stories with them into the present. And the present is where you create your future. The feedback loop is taking and creating from your past and creating your future, which will ensure that you create pretty much the same thing or some kind of variation. Then it feeds back on itself again and again and again. And truthfully, this is how decades go by where people are. Like, why? I just thought I would be somewhere else. I thought I would be further along. Nick 07:51 Shift the Mindset to the Goal The point of going into the past is either to learn, to reflect, and to shift, or there will be those, those people in places and events that we think about with love and joy. If we're bringing in a past event, let's say you're a runner and you're on your fifth marathon and you've never finished under a certain time, and you continue to be like, ‘I've never finished in that time frame and why would I now?’ Instead of here's my new goal, I'm going to do it to the best of my ability. There's got to be a shift out of what has happened into new possibilities. 10:42 Your Past Doesn’t Define You Now, there's something about this that I think is important to talk about, and it's a sneaky one when you talk about the past oftentimes it’s disguised as self knowledge or self-awareness. Let me give you an example. Somebody will say; ‘that's just the way I am or I have this, or I've had, experience in these traumas, and so they play that out again and again in their life.’ So they're effectively defining themselves by their past. Nick Stories, stories, real stories, real occurrences, not things. We want to diminish that when we tether ourselves to the past, we're tethering ourselves to the stories, the experiences of the past. KISMA 13:27 - Futurizing Can Also Be Resistance Speaking of the future, that's the flip side of the coin, right? So you've got the living in the past or dragging that past into your present. But then it’s going to the other side and getting in the present and futurizing and that is also a huge resistance. Nick 13:55 Create What You Want As Swamiji always teaches we are the architect of our future, but it's created from this moment. And so when we take past notions, beliefs, energies, thoughts, and create the future with that, it's going to have a veil or an essence of what's happened in the past. When we start from right here now and get super clear on what it is or where we're going, you know, and where we are now, the future becomes much more clear to create. KISMA 18:32 The Joy of the ProcessThis is not about perfection at all. It is about the joy of the process. But when you have that anchor, that really simple thing for your brain to grab onto and say, ‘wait a second’, then you can really stay in the energy of that manifestation or that goal or that ideal or whatever it is that you want. Nick

Your Past Doesn't Define You Do you let your past failure define your today? Perhaps you think you are limited in your future possibilities because of your past failure? “I have tried so many diets and programs and failed; that I can't bear to go to my husband with another program, especially one that costs $800+. I simply can't go to my husband with yet another "magical pill" .... he won't understand; even if we could afford it." - Going Beyond The Food Academy scholarship applicant This type of message is unfortunately very frequent when we open our scholarship program. It saddens me because so many of us let our past define who we can be in the future. The truth is... You are not the choices you've made. You are not the child you once were. No, you are not your failed marriage. You are not the setbacks of yesterday. Neither you are the bad things that have happened to you. You can be that woman that wakes up tomorrow morning and that say I'm not doing this anymore… I'm going to figure this out. I'll do this by my morale, my value. I'm going to be honest with myself. Because I decided that this is me. And because I decided I'm NOT my past! You are the person who LEARNS from a great deal of her past experiences. And because you are processing these experiences correctly, you'll have the happier life, the health and the confidence to achieve what you want. That's what this episode is about... I'll share with you the process that I use to NOT be my past! In this episode I discuss The Past Guides Our Choices — It Doesn't Make Our Choices For Us What happens IF you stopped beating yourself up How to not be defined by your past diet failure: My 4 step-process Last episode I talked about the elephant in the room... yes, I talked about weight loss. If you're one of those women who wanna lose weight, you are not alone. I was there for many years along with millions of other women just like you. The truth is 91% of women are unhappy about their body and seek weight loss as a solution. It's a basic human need to be accepted by our tribe and peers, therefore to be “normal”. All we want to be “normal”, we want to be confident in our body and image. We are ready to do what needs to get done to feel “normal” in our body. For most of us in this community, this desire to be “normal weight” has gone one of two ways: we did lose weight at some point but it didn't “stick” OR we haven't yet attempted to lose weight because we are so afraid of failure and change. Why is it that we can't do what we deeply desire? Curious? You gotta listen to this episode. Click here!
