In May 1995, the Lord led Pastor Hunter to start a neighborhood bible study group on Saturdays in her home. Waiting on the timing of God, she remained faithful in her father's ministry until he retired, due to health problems. The church eventually ended; then the Lord told her it was her time. Shortly, thereafter, with much prayer and consultation with her pastor, she launched out to plant a church. She sought the Lord for a name, and He told her to “take the spirit of your father”. She named the church “Friendship Church Outreach Ministry, Inc” (FCOM). She went out like Abraham, not knowing who would go with her or where to go, but the Lord was faithful who called her. The church's membership continues to grow. Today, the church has over 500 members and countless visitors who come to worship God, be saved, delivered, and set free. Many ministries have been added to accommodate the needs of the membership. Friendship Bible Institute was established in July 2006. FCOM, now has 4 churches that have come out of the ministry. Continue to pray for Friendship as we keep our focus on “Reaching and Preaching for Jesus” (RAP), with the reward of souls being won to the Kingdom of God. Pastor Hunter holds on to the scripture (Acts 26:22) “Having therefore obtained help of God, I continue to this day, witnessing to small and great, saying nothing beyond what the Prophets and Moses said would happen.”

D. Brooks. There he was tutored in business management, Church administration, soul winning and baptism. Hundreds of souls were baptized by Bishop McCrea during his stay at the Way of the Cross Church, Washington DC; there he developed a love for souls. Bishop Brooks built and instilled in him confidence in one's gifts and talents, teaching to believe in the ability that God has birth in you. Under Bishop A. D. Brooks, the Lord prepared Bishop McCrea for one of most faith testing tasks of his life, the move to Alaska. In 1993 God revealed to Bishop McCrea by several years of vision and confirmation by his pastor Bishop A. D. Brooks, to start a Work in Anchorage Alaska. Having faith like Abraham, Bishop McCrea didn't hesitate at the leading of God, but moved from family and loved ones to fulfill his call of God. He resigned from his job, packs up his belonging and moved the family to Anchorage. The Church was birth on October 9, 1994 with Bishop and Mrs. McCrea and Children as its 1st members, with Bishop A. D. Brooks officiating and many others from the east coast taking part in this service. The Church has since its birth progressively grown. Bishop McCrea has seen God's miraculous healing power when in 1998 he was diagnosed with cancer. His doctor advised him that without treatment he might survive three year and with treatment he might last five years. Bishop McCrea testifies of the healing power of God and until this day he still lives by the grace of God. The Lord in November of 2006 blessed Bishop McCrea and Praise Temple Church Family to purchase their 1st Worship Facility located here at 822 East Loop Road. Also in 2006 Bishop McCrea and Praise Temple Ministries applied for and was granted by the Federal Communication Commission a permit to construct a Gospel Radio Station in Alaska. Bishop McCrea has also obtained permits for 9 other radio stations in several other states. As the ministry progressed, in 2009 Bishop McCrea began setting up connections in Trivandrum India for the birthing of the Praise Temple International Ministries. After 3 years of planning and working with Bishop Manuel Ahimas in January 2012 Bishop and Mrs. McCrea made their first international trip to India for 28 days of crusade. After several weeks of preaching in southern and central India Bishop McCrea was able by the grace of God to bring into fellowship 72 new churches from India into the Way of the Cross Churches of Christ International. Bishop McCrea now serves as Director of the Foreign Region with 167 churches under his leadership in Africa, India and Haiti. Bishop McCrea is now in progress of starting churches in the Philippines. The Lord has been good to Bishop McCrea and the ministry.

Shaun has traveled to England, Trinidad, Spain, Dominican Republic, Canada, and throughout the States to not only broaden his geographical horizons, but also to learn and expand his cultural understanding of worship and the ways Christian communities interrelate to God. Shaun is a minister of the gospel who loves to lead praise and worship and preach to youth and young adults. He presently serves as the Associate Pastor of Worship at the Cornerstone Community Church where Rev. Dr. Maurice Wallace serves as senior Pastor. Shaun is married to Ana Esther Saunders, who also holds a Master of Arts from Seton Hall University in Higher Education Administration and aims to pursue a PhD in Educational Psychology from UCLA. A lover of music and arts for over fifteen years, Shaun advocates for all performative expressions of public or private ministry. We also design theatrical productions and thematic skits for special conferences and retreats. Shaun has taught as an adjunct professor of English and Writing at Seton Hall and is committed to teaching for the rest of his life. “I am inspired by creative minds, not a copy or clone of another person's creativity,” says Shaun. His faith in God and the gift of education have together unlocked innumerable doors of opportunity in his life. The greatest of these has been Godzchild Publications, whose purpose was defined twenty-one years ago after Shaun's grandparents launched the Holiness Pentecostal Church of Christ in Newark, NJ (without a high school diploma or letters behind their name). Education was their stumbling block, but Jesus was their Cornerstone. They chose to obey God's leading and since then, have raised a generation of teachers who are studying at top universities in the nation such as: Yale University, Duke University, Drew University and Emory University. This publication company, therefore, seeks to assist all writers; especially those whose credentials (or the lack thereof) make it difficult to receive national respect or international attention. We are interested in spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ in ways that cause Christians to rethink Christianity and encourage strangers to receive salvation. We publish positive and spiritual materials that engage the whole man or the whole woman. We are not restricted to religious texts alone, but we are openly and unapologetically a Christian Publishing House. As the author of Seeing God in Everything and co-author of WE Must, WE Shall: The Worship and Evangelism Workbook, Shaun awaits the day when Jesus will review the written offerings he has published, and hopes to hear God say with joyful appreciation, “Well done, my good and faithful servant.”

Moore and Dr. Willa Moore, Bishop Mark A. Moore, Sr. is a fourth generation Pentecostal preacher. He remembers as a child hearing his father pray at the altar one day, and feeling the burden his father had for the children of God, he asked the Lord that day to let the burden of his father fall on him. The Lord honored his request and from that day, God has prepared Bishop Moore for the task. Raised and educated in the school system of Indianapolis, Indiana, he received various scholastic honors. He attended Harvard College and majored in religion although he had contemplated studying law. Bishop Moore graduated cum laude from Harvard College in 1985. From 1985 until the death of his father in 1988, Bishop Moore served in Indianapolis, Indiana at Christ Temple, the Mother Church of the Pentecostal Assemblies of the World. He served in various capacities, which allowed him to receive formative pastoral experience. As a national Evangelist from 1989 to 1991, Bishop Moore traveled the length and breadth of the country, living by faith as God elevated his ministry to another dimension. During this period, he accepted the position of Pastoral Assistant to Dr. James D. Nelson in Baltimore, Maryland, where he served faithfully under Bishop Nelson's leadership. In 1992, Bishop Moore was elected to pastor Zion Temple Apostolic Church, in Havre de Grace, Maryland. During his 8½ years tenure the church tripled in attendance and there was extensive spiritual growth. Not only did the church flourish, but also the community benefited, strengthening “the whole man” with after-school programs, financial counseling and practical workshops. In 1996, God spoke to Bishop Moore concerning a “new thing” in Atlanta, and in November of that year, Bishop Moore, along with a faithful handful, established Faith Covenant Church of Jesus Christ, Inc. For four years, Bishop Moore traveled between Maryland and Georgia, pastoring both churches. In early 2001, God released him to the church that he founded, Faith Covenant – another step of faith in the life of Bishop Moore. His experiences as the founding pastor of Faith Covenant Church of Jesus Christ have been invaluable in rounding out his ministerial qualifications. Pioneering a church often calls for levels of faith, sacrifice, determination, and spiritual grit that are unparalleled in any other ministerial endeavor. Although Bishop Moore never anticipated that he would be a church planter, he has come to see this season as a part of the answer to the prayer he prayed so many years ago for the burden and mantle of his father. The hardship and thrill of birthing a ministry have had an indelible impact upon his character, resulting in a mature, resilient and humble servant leader. In July of 2010, he was elevated to the office of Bishop in the Lord's Church. Bishop Moore is married to the talented and lovely Shirley Ann Moore and they have three energetic, outgoing and spirit-filled children Mark, Jr., George David , and Sharon Alise - who are all actively involved in helping him to reach the world.

When he started pastoring, the church had about 200 members and the church has grown to over 1500 members. God has placed in his heart to teach the body of Christ for the last days. He has also been called to teach and preach to the nations. In addition to his role as Senior Pastor of The Galilean House of Worship, Pastor Penn established Michael Penn Ministries International and The League of Independent Ministers (L.I.M.) in 2006. L.I.M. was birthed based on Hebrews 6:12, "That ye be not slothful, but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises." L.I.M. is a mentorship that provides access to resources and positive guidance, direction, support and motivation for pastors, and helps ministers and churches get to the next level. Since its conception, apostles, bishops, elders, and ministers have been joining from all across the United States and has grown to well over 100 members. L.I.M. is an awesome fellowship that allows God's leaders from all denominations to network, share, learn and grow together without having to leave their own churches or beliefs. Pastor Penn has established The Galilean House of Worship (The GHOW) as a word based, non-denominational church. A theme verse for the church is Matthew 5:16, "Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven." Pastor Penn speaks his heart in saying "We want to be a place to give people hope." He describes The GHOW as a WASH house, W-Worship, A-Army, S-School, and H-Hospital. He has a strong desire for the spiritual growth of people and excellence in ministry. In 2009, Pastor Penn and The Galilean church family marched into a new 43-acre site which includes a 60,000 square feet state of the art church facility which is Phase I of the vision. Phase II began to take shape in 2012 and uses existing land in the rear of the church to construct a park, walking trail and amphitheater. Phase III will include a plaza with a fellowship hall, gym, bookstore and restaurant. Phase IV will utilize an additional 23-acre site for leadership training and for a retreat/half way house which will provide bunk housing for those in need of short-term habitation. Pastor Penn speaks his heart in stating, "My desire is to see all of God's people, especially pastors and ministers, mature in excellence in ministry and life and to share with God's people the principles, information, and revelation from God."- Dr. Michael Penn Bishop Michael Penn

Since repenting of his sins, being baptized in the name of Jesus and being filled with the Holy Ghost with the initial evidence of speaking in other tongues at the age of 14 (May 2002), Pastor Hoyle has been walking with Jesus with a desire to solely please Him. Two months after experiencing salvation, Pastor Hoyle acknowledged his call to preach the gospel and since that day has been engaging in active ministry for the last eighteen years. Currently, Pastor Hoyle serves as the founder and pastor of Calvary Apostolic Community Church in Fredericksburg, VA, which launched in August 2018. Pastor Hoyle is also a graduate of Johnson C. His family is certainly his highest earthly priority to him and always will be. The life and ministry of this servant of the Lord can be summed up in the belief that “if I am who God wants me to be, he will teach me what he wants me to know and help me to do what he wants me to do”.

He was reared in the house of the Lord, where he was baptized in the name of Jesus Christ and received the gift of the Holy Ghost. At a young age he was taught the importance of having a servant's heart, and faithfully attended worship services, weekly Bible classes, Sunday school and youth activities, sang with various choirs and groups, and served as an usher. Alphonzo attended the public schools of the District of Columbia, and matriculated in undergraduate studies at the Hampton Institute in Hampton, Virginia, and Virginia Union in Richmond. He later received a Doctorate in Biblical Studies. Demonstrating loyalty to both God and country, he enlisted in the United States Army where he served as a paratrooper. He married the former Miss Helen Price, also of the District of Columbia; and they are the parents of five children – Denice, Clifton (deceased), James (deceased), Jean and Alphonzo, Jr., and have welcomed numerous foster children into their home. In October 1967, Alphonzo accepted God's call to ministry and several years later was ordained an Elder. God increased his borders and in 1972, he was appointed Assistant Pastor. Upon the retirement of then Pastor John L. Brooks in 1978, Elder Brooks was anointed Pastor of the church his father and mother had helped to found. Through the years, Pastor Brooks has held many noteworthy positions in The Way of the Cross Church, International, including President of the National Youth for Christ, Chairman of the National Board of Trustees, and Chairman of the Pastoral Council, and 1st Vice Presiding Bishop. He currently serves as Presiding Bishop of The Way of the Cross Church, International. Through the invitation of his mother at the age of 15 years, he began attending church. He had a dramatic conversion experience and was baptized and filled with the precious gift of the Holy Ghost at the age of 17. After this dramatic experience, God sent fire in this young man's life that is yet burning to this day. He was called into ministry and began preaching at 18 years of age. Not long after, signs and wonders began to follow his ministry. For the first few years he attended the church and stood by the side of Bishop Stanley Flasher. Upon relocating to Syracuse, he met and sat under Bishop Robert Jones, who would become a Spiritual Father to him, and his evangelistic ministry began from that point. So, in 1999, God began to deal with Elder Hosmer to branch out into full time evangelistic ministry. So, On Fire Evangelism began to burn. Almost immediately doors began to open all over the country, and now Elder Hosmer has preached in revival meetings, conferences, and councils for many different organizations. God has opened a tremendous door cross-culturally and across denominational lines for this young evangelist. Elder Hosmer has experienced many different types of trials and tribulations that the enemy tried to use to destroy him. However, what the enemy meant for evil, “God has turned around for good.” Out of this pain, God has turned tragedy into triumph because God has birthed an anointed word of deliverance in this young man that will speak to anyone and let them know that no matter what they are going through, God is able to bring them out.
