OC Todd Monken has been hired by the Baltimore Ravens to replace Greg Roman as their new offensive coordinator. Monken was also the OC for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers from 2016-2018. Jonathan Gannon has been hired by the Arizona Cardinals as there new Head Coach. Jonathan Gannon has spent two seasons as the DC of the Philadelphia Eagles who had one the NFL's best defenses and were third all-time in NFL history for team sacks. Was Jonathan Gannon the right hire for Arizona? JT Sports has his reservations. The Indianapolis Colts have hired there new head coach in Philadelphia Eagles offensive coordinator Shane Steichen. Charles Robinson, Charles McDonald and Dan Wetzel are in Phoenix, Arizona for Super Bowl week as they give the inside scoop on all the latest buzz around the NFL, including new coaching hires, Sean Payton's latest comments and the top 2023 NFL Draft prospects. The last two teams without a head coach, the Arizona Cardinals and Indianapolis Colts, are steadily narrowing down their options. Charles Robinson thinks Arizona needs to go after an offensive guy to get Kyler Murray's career back on track, and wonders if Murray needs to have a good season in 2023 to still be considered a franchise quarterback. The Colts head coach situation is murkier, as it's unclear if they plan to bring back interim head coach and former Colts center Jeff Saturday. There were a few other coaching hires to discuss, including Steve Wilks becoming San Francisco 49ers defensive coordinator, a job that has led to two consecutive head coaching hires in Robert Saleh and Demeco Ryans. Former Miami Dolphins head coach Brian Flores heads to Minnesota to become the Vikings defensive coordinator. Former Denver Broncos DC Ejiro Evero heads to Carolina to coordinate Frank Reich's defense in 2023.New Broncos head coach Sean Payton didn't mince words in comments to the press earlier this week as he made it clear QB Russell Wilson's personal staff would no longer be allowed in the facility. Everyone is feeling optimistic about the Broncos, and Charles McDonald thinks Payton's no-nonsense coaching style might be just the thing Wilson needs to get back on track. Under the right leadership, Wilson may still have gas left in the tank. The episode ends with an update on the 2023 NFL Draft as the Senior Bowl just wrapped up last week. Although this class looks a little weak compared to some previous years, there are a few prospects that it's hard not to get excited about. Everyone is excited about Florida QB Anthony Richardson, who has all the tools necessary to be an elite NFL QB but will need time to sit and learn in a patient organization. Other players like Texas RB Bijan Robinson and Alabama QB Bryce Young present intriguing options in the first round.5:15 - Cardinals head coach update & Kyler Murray's future12:00 - Colts head coach update: Is Jeff Saturday returning in 2023?17:45 - New DC hires: Steve Wilks, Brian Flores, Ejiro Evero27:40 - Super Bowl preview: what we heard at opening night in Phoenix37:00 - Broncos HC Sean Payton's comments towards Russell Wilson45:50 - 2023 NFL Draft preview: Anthony Richardson, Bryce Young, Bijan RobinsonPlease support Terez Paylor's legacy:• Buy an All-Juice Team hoodie or tee from BreakingT.com/Terez. (38:21-52:31) – Hour number one concludes with former NFL General Manager and VSiN's Michael Lombardi joining Scott and Jimmy to get an outside perspective on where last season went wrong for the Indianapolis Colts, why he still believes the Colts can get back to playing physical football despite the below average offensive line play last season, what kind of coach he believes the Indianapolis Colts need, and why a head coaching candidate would be attracted to Indianapolis. (52:31-1:18:12) – The Dean, Mike Chappell, of CBS4/FOX59 makes his weekly stop on the Fan Midday Show with Jimmy Cook and Scott Long to share his insight on where the Colts head coaching search is at, if he could see Nick Sirianni getting in the way of Shane Steichen becoming the next head coach of the Indianapolis Colts, and shares his big game prediction along with some reasoning as to why he chose the team he did. (0:00-28:12) The Ride with JMV kicks off on a Wednesday! John opens the show with Indiana's loss to Maryland. The discussion centers around the lack of help for Trayce Jackson-Davis, fouls and more. It looks like Tyrese Haliburton is going to come back against the Lakers on Thursday and Daniel Theis is inching closer to seeing the floor. John discusses the Pacers rebounding issues and where that production could come from. Then, he turns to a Colts head coaching update and why there was no way Sean Payton could end up in Indianapolis. Is it Steichen or Brian Callahan? Jeff Saturday? A petition seems unnecessary from JMV's point of view. Finally, John talks about what the Pacers are doing at the deadline. (28:12-40:49) John remembers how fun the video game Tecmo Bowl was in the late 80s before the conversation returns to IU ahead of their matchup against Purdue on Saturday. Are the Pacers a buyer or seller? JMV has a different word to describe the local franchise with the deadline approaching. (40:49-48:30) JMV wraps up the first hour with the current odds for the next Colts head coach, the Hoosiers loss to Maryland and some comments from the lounge. (48:30-1:20:59) To kick off the second hour, Coach Dane Fife joins JMV to first talk about domestic life nowadays before getting into what happened with Indiana in College Park last night. Dane talks about the consistency – or lack thereof – of Indiana and why Purdue is so consistent both at home and on the road. Dane and JMV talk about the growing pains of getting back to the highest level of the Big Ten and college basketball and the upcoming matchup against Purdue. Dane talks about his relationship with the current players and players dealing with outside voices. The conversation wraps up with a more extensive IU-Purdue preview. (1:20:59-1:27:16) John discusses some news from the day. (1:27:16-1:35:07) JMV wraps the second hour with Tom Brady's retirement, the Pacers at the deadline and the Colts. (1:35:07-2:11:46) 107.5 the Fan and Kevin and Query's Kevin Bowen joins the show as he does every Wednesday. KB and John discuss the Colts head coach search. Where does Jeff Saturday stand right now? What are the reasons that Saturday is not in the running for the head coaching position? Then, they discuss why there was no interest from Jim Harbaugh's camp in being the HC in Indianapolis and why that didn't pick up any steam. The conversation ends with a head coach prediction, how quiet the Colts have been throughout the process and what Bowen thinks the best choice is before finishing with the Pacers. (2:11:46-2:16:23) John gives out some shoutouts from his remote last week at Alley Cat. (2:16:23-2:21:08) JMV wraps up the show and sets up tomorrow's show featuring Trayce Jackson-Davis.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

JR looks at some of the dumbest things that took place in sports this week including Jeff Saturday remaining as Colts Head Coach?
Colts & Ben Johnson do NOT fit - as Johnson pledges to return to the Lions as offensive coordinator, but 10 current candidates remain. Anthony Richardson has all the tools to be an really good NFL quarterback - in two or three years. Trading back is an inaccurate science, and than makes drafting Richardson a tough call. Indiana needs to play with focus for 40 minutes tomorrow night to compete at red hot Illinois. Pacers are foundering without Tyrese Haliburton - they play at OKC tonight with another shot to get untracked. https://busr.com/kent for 150% welcome bonus up to $2500 on your initial deposit!
