Melodiseen AOR-genreen ja hard rockiin keskittyvä Firefest-festivaali järjestetään Englannissa jälleen, kymmenen vuoden tauon jälkeen. Tällä kertaa paikkana on Manchester. Craig Goldy has a very interesting rock n roll story to tell. The former Dio guitar player took time out from his new band Dream Child to discuss his friendship with Ronnie James Dio, his earlier work with Guiffria, and Rough Cutt, and the emotions he feels while paying tribute to Ronnie James Dio performing with the Dio Disciples. From his earliest memories of  growing up in a not so ideal home environment, to living out of his car on the streets, Craig shares stories about his auditions for Rough Cutt, touring with Guiffria and meeting his guitar hero Ritchie Blackmore. Craig Goldy’s new band Dream Child which features guitarists / keyboardist Wayne Findlay (MSG), bassist Rudy Sarzo (Ozzy, Whitesnake, Dio) and drummer Simon Wright (AC/DC, Dio), plus singer Diego Valdez just released their debut on Frontiers Records “Until Death Do We Meet Again” is an outstanding mixture of classic Rainbow, Deep Purple, and Dio Influenced rock n roll for your ears. We highly recommend you pick up a copy right here Craig Goldy was great to speak with and very forthcoming about his time with Guiffria and Dio and in our opinion was way more accommodating than most musician, and we appreciated his time. It truly was like hanging out and catching up with a long lost friend. We wish Craig all the luck in the world for his future projects. We have wanted to talk to Devin Townsend for quite some time now, and we finally got our chance! He has been a guest on your favorite metal podcast before, but Axl and Vince had the opportunity to do the interview and now we run him through our own ringer. You gotta love this guy! To call him a singer or a guitarist would be selling his talents short, and although he hates to be complimented, Devin is one of the most prolific and inspiring musician of the last two decades. Whether you loved Strapping Young Lad, Ziltoid, the Devin Townsend Project or any of his guest appearances or records he produced, his talent is undeniable. We consider ourselves lucky to have such a candid chat about psychosis, the different ways he sees music as opposed to just hearing it, the progression from one style or influence to the next, how his wife deals with his eccentric nature and the debut of Fun Sponge (you'll get it when you listen). We also discuss the Dio hologram that took Wacken 2016 by storm. You thought Dio had died, but his visage has been resurrected via technology to adore and shock fans at this year's festival. Hell, he even took the time to wave a Wacken banner on stage before leading a chant of "We Rock." But is it the right thing to do? Obviously those in control of his estate, and the Dio Disciples, think a hologram does justice to the metal legend. But, more importantly, do we? His music should always live on, but are we setting ourselves up for something more perverted and disappointing by not letting our passed heroes lie? Or are we introducing a new generation to the greatness of the legends that only old metal dudes and dudettes got the chance to experience? Songs: Devin Townsend Project – "Failure" Dio – "Evil Eyes"

Dio Disciples is the band of the late Ronnie James Dio. They have been touring the world in celebration of the life of Ronnie and to raise awareness of cancer, the early detection and treatment for the disease. Ronnie passed away at 7:45 am (CDT) on May 16, 2010, of metastasized stomach cancer.   We also speak about the current tour, what’s in the future for the band and the non-profit fund started by Ronnie and his wife Wendy Dio. The Stand Up And Shout Cancer Fund is a 501(c)(3) non-profit charitable fund dedicated to support cancer prevention research, raise awareness and educate the public with the focus that early detection and prevention is of vital importance when dealing with this deadly disease that robs families of it's loved ones. We at the Audios Maximus Media Network and The Tour Bus Music Show encourage our listeners to contribute towards this cause and helping to put an end to this terrible disease that has claimed the life of Ronnie as well as so many other wonderful people in this world before their time. On a personal note T. Mic and Ana of Audios Maximus has lost grandparents as well as other close family members and friends to cancer. This is one cause that we all can get behind. To find out how to contribute to this worthy cause, here is the web address: http://diocancerfund.org/
