"After over four decades of touring and recording, it's truly special to see this anniversary release come to life," Curran says. "The artwork, rare photos, and the discovery of the Cleveland Agora live audio from our very first show in the USA add a perfect finishing touch for the band and our dedicated fans.” Dixon adds, "Our show at the Redwood Theatre will be the first time presenting the mighty Hatch sound in an Unplugged & Acoustic format. Still intense, with the same tightness and power that all these years together have built, but with more nuance and emphasis on the songs and vocals. We have some surprises planned and we can't wait to show off our skills in a new setting!” I sat down on ZOOM to Chat with founding member and bass player ANDY CURRAN to talk about the re-issue of the bands debut album, touched on some Andy Curran Solo material and a shout out to local band SUICIDE STAR for the remake of MONKEY BARS

‘ENVY OF NONE' RELEASE NEW ALBUM AND NEW SINGLE ‘STYGIAN WAVES' ZOOM EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW WITH LEGENDARY RUSH GUITARIST ALEX LIFESON Envy Of None are the living, breathing definition of a supergroup. No other band on earth could rightly claim to have Alex Lifeson – one of rock's most influential visionaries – heading up guitar duties, with Andy Curran of Coney Hatch and Soho 69 overseeing bass/programming as well as producer extraordinaire Alfio Annibalini on keyboards. However, the star in this band could very well be its youngest member – American singer-songwriter Maiah Wynne – whose wonderfully emotive vocals are able to spin the music in new exciting directions that thrill to the core. Envy Of None are back with their much anticipated second album, Stygian Wavz, released on Kscope March 14th. To celebrate the announcement, Envy Of None have shared a new single – the album title track ‘Stygian Waves' – alongside a new music video. Hi everybody and welcome to another episode of the TALK MUSIC podcast! My guest this week is BOB ROPER! This is a great, entertaining deep dive into his illustrious career. Bob has done it all! From booking concerts at university to doing major label promo, to working for top concert promoter MICHAEL COHL doing marketing. Bob then became an A&R guru at WARNER Music where he signed acts such as HONEYMOON SUITE, BLUE RODEO and FROZEN GHOST. He also helped ALANNAH MYLES and RUSH get their US careers going. Before joining Warner, he spent time as tour manager of SUPERTRAMP who, then at the peak of their career, ended up playing Madison Square Garden. After leaving Warner, Bob jumped into management working closely with SHARON LOIS AND BRAM, where he brought them to another level before moving on to handle A&R/management for the SRO/ANTHEM company (home of RUSH, GOWAN, MAX WEBSTER & CONEY HATCH).Following that, Bob ran his own management company (GOWAN, MOLLY JOHNSON) and then taught at the HARRIS INSTITUTE for 30 years! Wanting to be closer to home, Bob spent a couple of years working at the PRECISION manufacturing company and he just recently retired.I truly loved this interview as I also had a chance to THANK Bob for taking a chance on me as Producer of the debut album for HONEYMOON SUITE.His faith in me and the massive success of the 4 Top 10 singles (and TRIPLE PLATINUM sales of the album) was a game changer for me and changed my life forever!! Take a listen, there's lots of interesting stories in this one and I can honestly say Bob really is another one of the really good guys out there. ENJOY! Hosted on Acast. Melodiseen AOR-genreen ja hard rockiin keskittyvä Firefest-festivaali järjestetään Englannissa jälleen, kymmenen vuoden tauon jälkeen. Tällä kertaa paikkana on Manchester. Carl Dixon from Coney Hatch Talks to Phil Aston This is one of the most inspiring interviews I have done so far for the Now Spinning Magazine Podcast. Carl talks about his early years, how Coney Hatch came together, all the albums including Friction which is a total AOR Classic. What makes this interview so special is Carl also talks about the major car accident he had and how with 53 major injuries, losing an eye, almost both legs and arm, getting brain damage and breaking his back at C7 he worked his way back to health and the stage. Carl also goes around the world giving motivational speeches to help others recover from major trauma. Coney Hatch are releasing a new album recorded live in Germany and it really is a belter! You Could Have Been a Lady". En 1979, elBBC lanzó In Concert para distribución internacional; En 1981, Aquarius lanzó otro álbum recopilatorio, The Best of April Wine Rock Ballads . El álbum incluía los sencillos "Enough is Enough", "If You See Kay" y "Anything You Want, You Got It". Mientras tanto, varios sellos lanzaron varios álbumes recopilatorios. En 2004, Silverline lanzó el primer DVD-A de April Wine llamado From the Front Row ... Live! .

Human biology is the theme of the 63rd instalment of the lads' quest to compile the ultimate 'best of' list of hard rock and heavy metal albums. It's also an episode that sees debut appearances for two bands, along with the fourth of the six Metallica albums that are eligible for consideration under the pod's strict 1970-1995 (okay, 1996) parameters. The task was straightforward: parts of the human body. Steve went for 'hand'. Check. Mark went for 'spine'. Check. Richard went for ejaculate, blood, and urine. Hmmm. And not for the first time. Enter, then, Outa Hand, the second album from Coney Hatch, the Canadian wing of the New Wave of British Heavy Metal, released in 1984; another sophomore release, this time from Spinal Tap with Break Like The Wind, the follow-up to 1984's seminal (that's seminal, not semen-al) This Is Spinal Tap; and last but not least Metallica's last properly decent album (in our humble opinion) Load.

For over 40 years, the band Rush defined progressive rock. Often far from the mainstream, they made their own way by pushing back against management, the record industry, and even their own fans. In this episode, Derringer Discoveries welcomes longtime friend and Rush super-fan, John B. Derringer (via Zoom) to help the team discuss what the surviving members of Rush, Alex Lifeson and Geddy Lee, have been doing since the passing of their long-time drummer and lyricist, Neil Peart. Andy Curran's image occupied a space on my teenage bedroom wall. The guy is an icon. But he's also an extremely humble human being and a fantastic conversationalist. Andy joins me on NSTS this week to talk about the new musical project he's working on with Rush guitarist Alex Lifeson called Envy of None, an experimental, industrial-flavoured musical foray that sounds nothing like Coney Hatch or Rush. We also chat about his obsession with shinny hockey, Creem magazine, the letter he wrote to the Scorpions fan club as a kid, and his upcoming doubles tennis match with Alex, Geddy, and Steve Harris from Iron Maiden. Curran's playlist: Massive Attack – Angel Scorpions – He's a Woman, She's a Man James Gang – Stop (live 1971) Stone Temple Pilots – Sex Type Thing Jeff Beck - Cause We've Ended as Lovers
Hey, y'all. I am Shay. This is thebuzzr podcast. On air indie, from my pad to yours over the airways. Today in the show, lead guitarist & singer Shawn Meehan from the rock band Trigger Mafia joins us. We talk music, spin “Find A Better Way” and “Turn It Up” from The Brotherhood album, and talk censorship in music current day. This Vancouver band is a Canadian gem reminiscent of Triumph and Rush. Thank you for tuning in tonight. Enjoy the show! Cheers! Tracks: "Turn It Up" 15:50 "Find A Better Way" 29:55 From the Band Trigger Mafia is the quintessential rock revival project with a modern spin who released their debut album, The Brotherhood, on October 20th. Coming from all walks of life, Trigger Mafia is set on a path to personify some of the most pressing issues of today as well as document the human condition in the rawest of forms. Inspired by the raw loud bands of the seventies (Coney Hatch, Rush or Triumph to name a few), their debut album, The Brotherhood, features songs Turn It Up, Snowflake, The Brotherhood Song, and the band's first single Find a Better Way - a song for the times, and a powerful musical movement to help organize, uplift, and bring the world together.
