As an entrepreneur, Seth has learned that focusing on his natural abilities—rather than forcing himself into roles that don't suit him—leads to greater success. He highlights the value of delegation and surrounding yourself with the right team. Money Learning: Seth's early exposure to money was rooted in working for every dollar, which instilled discipline but also ingrained a belief that making money had to be difficult. His evolution reflects a shift from trading time for money to building businesses that generate wealth through value creation. Seth Spears' Bio: Seth Spears is a business strategist for conscious entrepreneurs who prioritize mission over margin. He is the founder of Wellnesse and Rewild Gear, businesses committed to sustainability and ethical practices. A former co-founder of Wellness Mama, Seth played a key role in growing it into one of the largest health and wellness platforms. Beyond business, he is an adventurer, podcaster, and angel investor passionate about self-improvement. Key Discussion Points: Seth's experience growing up as the oldest of six kids in a homeschooling family. Early exposure to money and the lessons of hard work vs. financial leverage. His journey as an entrepreneur and the challenges of building mission-driven businesses. The mindset shift required to move from scarcity to abundance. In this conversation, Marshall and Nick discuss various topics, including the lack of cold beer, their experiences during the 4th of July holiday, muscle cars, and the popularity of Tesla vehicles. They also touch on the challenges of making money on electric vehicles and the trend of customizing Tesla Cybertrucks. The conversation covers various topics including the importance of paying a premium price for top-quality service, the domino effect of detailing, the use of different products for different purposes, the unpredictability of water spotting, and the limitations of car washes. In this conversation, Nick and Marshall discuss the importance of understanding the reality of car washes and how to communicate that to customers. They emphasize the need to manage customer expectations and explain that car washes are not always able to remove all chemicals from the surface of the vehicle, which can lead to damage. They also discuss the concept of purpose and how it relates to choosing the right ceramic coating for a vehicle. They highlight the importance of considering the length of ownership and the customer's habits when recommending a coating. They also touch on the topics of resolve, delusion, and the challenges of running a business. Takeaways The availability of truly cold beer seems to be diminishing, with many establishments not keeping their beer as cold as it used to be. The 4th of July holiday has become bigger and more significant over the years, with more people taking time off and celebrating. Muscle cars, like the Chevelle SS, evoke nostalgia and admiration, but they may not always be as fast as modern electric vehicles like Teslas. The Ford CEO's comments about the challenges of making money on big electric SUVs and trucks highlight the need for manufacturers to consider smaller electric vehicles. The Tesla Cybertruck has gained popularity, but some people find the design and wraps to be unappealing or poorly executed. Paying a premium price for a service ensures that the provider will handle any mistakes or issues that arise. The domino effect in detailing refers to the tendency for one task to lead to another, resulting in more work than initially anticipated. Different products have different purposes and should be used accordingly. For example, rinseless or waterless products are best for light cleaning, while last step products like Slick are ideal for finishing touches. Water spotting can occur on any surface, regardless of the type of protection applied. There is no foolproof way to prevent water spotting. Car washes can vary in their effectiveness and may not always remove all chemicals or residue from the vehicle's surface. Car washes are not always able to remove all chemicals from the surface of a vehicle, which can lead to damage. When recommending a ceramic coating, it's important to consider the length of ownership and the customer's habits. Resolve and purpose are important factors in making decisions about car care. Running a business requires both hard work and smart work. Creating relationships and tapping into networks can greatly benefit a business. Most people fail, not because of a lack of effort, but because their effort is misdirected. Weve been raised in a world that constantly tells us that working hard will help us achieve everything we deserve and have dreamed of. We often get so wrapped up in the idea of working hard (and then frustrated when things dont quite go as planned) that we forget to take a moment to reflect on what our energy has been channelled into and the impact of the effort made. So, in this episode of Everyday Leadership, Sope asks us to question whether we are fixated on working hard instead of focusing on the tasks that will lead to the outcomes were looking for. The role that our workplaces play in encouraging and enabling our relationships at work, was largely taken for granted, until they were taken away from us. A silver lining of the pandemic, we realised the impact of our workplaces and the role they play in our establishing and supporting the social & support networks in our lives. And social connection is a foundation for building any community. Today's guest ARC Laureate Fellow Sharon K. Parker. I was first introduced to Sharon and her work through my friend and Colleague Dr Meg Hooper of Carousel Consulting, and her S.M.A.R.T Work Design Model, to develop meaningful and motivating work. This piece of work has been instrumental in underpinning our approach to work design and workplace design, a difference that Sharon will elaborate on in today's podcast. Meg has been following Sharon's work for a very long time, and such I've invited her along to co-host today's episode! ARC Laureate Fellow Sharon K. Parker is a John Curtin Distinguished Professor, Director of the Centre for Transformative Work Design at Curtain University, a Fellow of the Australian Academy of Social Sciences and Fellow of the Society for Industrial and Organisational Psychology. Sharon has published more than 250 internationally refereed articles on topics such as work design, proactive behaviour, mental health, and job performance, has over 46,500 citations, and is ranked in the top .15% of global scholars in her field. She is the founder of the S.M.A.R.T model, cofounder of the Thrive at Work Initiative, and has contributed to policy on work design in Australia and internationally. With the breadth of research that Sharon has done, this podcast could go in any direction, but as we are focused on the role of community in the workplace this season, we've narrowed in on this topic and explored how the work she does overlaps with this ability to build community. So today, we are exploring; Her view on the relationship that exists between our workplaces and the role they play in building community Her S.M.A.R.T work design model and what the important factors are to consider in building community and where organisations could be letting themselves down The role of autonomy in buffering the effects of poor workplace design The definition of work design and the overlap to workplace design Some of the key consideration that designer, Culture Leaders and property managers/specialists should be looking at when it comes to workplace design Sharon's perspective on this is fascinating and Meg & I were loving this conversation - we honestly could have chatted for hours. So, I hope you love listening to this episode as much as we loved recording it!

In this episode of The Habit Coach, Kavita asks Ashdin how to not self-doubt even after giving her best, with reference to exams.Ashdin suggests working on skill sets and changing some ways of preparing for the exams like using a recorder to record exams and play them back, or a technique called the memory palace, etc. Basically, a change of routine, learning the skill sets of high achievers, taking cues from already successful people, and transcending the boundaries of comfort and genetic ability, maybe that will help eliminate self-doubt.You can watch the full video episodes of The Habit Coach Podcast with Ashdin Doctor here: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCJLdd6v64eA650G1bwNrBkAYou can also check out Ashdin's Linktree Page here: https://linktr.ee/awesome180Check out the Awesome180 website: http://awesome180.com/You can follow Ashdin Doctor on social media:Twitter: ( https://twitter.com/Ashdindoc )Linkedin: ( https://www.linkedin.com/in/ashdin-doctor/ )Instagram: ( https://www.instagram.com/ashdindoc/)Facebook: ( https://www.facebook.com/ashdin.doc.9 )Send questions to Ashdin Doctor for The Habit Coach Hot Seat on this link: https://forms.gle/13vgf4MAk7zYKBd38You can listen to this and other incredible shows on the IVM Podcasts app on Android: https://ivm.today/android or iOS: https://ivm.today/ios, or any other podcast app.

Are you working hard or working smart? There's a big difference between the two, and we tend to justify that just because we're busy, we are achieving something. We are so used to becoming too busy with very long work hours, reading books, learning from a course, listening to different advice from coaches, etc., and guess what? Nothing has changed. In this podcast, I will share how you can be financially free, not JUST by working hard but, most importantly, by working smart. -------------> https://znap.link/thatsY IG: www.instagram.com/giulio_thatsyLinkedIn: www.linkedin.com/in/giulioberonia FB: www.facebook.com/ThatSyouth Website: www.thatsy.net
When there's road work to be done, crews put up cones, barrels and fences to keep workers safe. Now a "smart work" zone system being tested in Virginia could make those spaces even safer. Plus: if you need a road trip destination, how about a New Mexico museum about a key part of many of those road trips? In his book Make Your Bed: Little Things That Can Change Your Life…And Maybe the World, Admiral William H. McRaven posits that making your bed in the morning can change the trajectory of your day, and in turn, your life. Today, I talk about this idea. I expand on it, explaining why such a simple morning task has such a huge effect. I talk about the benefits of a morning routine, no matter how simple, and I note that these benefits affect your work-life balance, self care habits, general sense of accomplishment, and self-discipline. “Whatever morning routine you choose, it is less about the actions themselves and more about the time you take to carefully plan out how you are going to perform throughout the day.”- Murtaza Versi This week on the Engage Relate Perform Podcast: ● The power of making your bed● The benefits of a morning routine● Why making your bed counts as self care Resources Mentioned: ● Make Your Bed: Little Things That Can Change Your Life...And Maybe the World by Admiral William H. Welcome to another episode of the podcast. In this episode, I check in on the Smart Works charity and acknowledge their major milestone with the SmartSet collection, initiated by HRH Meghan Thee Duchess. They have dressed their 200th woman, sending her off to her interviews with love and confidence -- what an accomplishment that is. Well done, ladies, I give my reaction to the Hillary and Chelsea Clinton interview at the BBC radio spot and talk about the importance of Americans speaking up for the "American Duchess." We were some of the first to lead that discussion and call out the blatant racism in the intrusive coverage of the Duchess of Sussex. Lastly, the Squad Speaks segment is back! Thank you to those who submitted questions and comments for the segment and a big thank you to those who engage on the various Sussex Set platforms.
