Igår fick vi kvartsfinalslagen klara i CL och med oss för att summera och spekulera har vi ingen mindre än TV4s expert, Jens Fjellström som krigade sig upp tidigt efter det sena straffdramat igår kväll.Dagens gäst i studion är U21-landslagets förbundskapten Daniel Bäckström som har ett extremt viktigt kval till EM-slutspelet framför sig. Han motiverar också gårdagens trupputtagning och beskriver samarbetet med Jon Dahl Tomasson.Vi tar en sillykoll med Sportbladets Daniel "Disco" Kristoffersson som tror att Super Bosse har en värvningsbomb i fickan och så tippar han även topp 3 i Allsvenskan.Torsdagar betyder även att vi ringer upp en polare till Sean och denna dagen går signalen till Rumänien där Astrit Selmani nu spelar sin fotboll och han berättar om det obefintliga träningsschemat och det invecklade slutspelet i landet.Det vankas Tvillingderby i helgen så därför ringer vi upp en morgontrött Omar Faraj som beskriver hur han tacklar den första veckan under fastan och hans känslor att spela inför ett nästan fullsatt Friends Arena på söndag mot Djurgården. Radio International's JP was on location to conduct interviews with the competing artists. Danny Saucedo qualified directly to the Grand Final of Melodifestivalen 2024 with the song "Happy that you found me". Dotter also won a place in the Grand Final of Melodifestivalen 2024 after winning the Heat 4 voting and will perform her song "It's not easy to write a love song" in Stockholm. On the show this week Radio International airs an interview with Semi Finalist Albin Tingwall with the song "Done getting over you" as well as Scarlet with the song "Circus X". Lia Larsson performed "30 km/h" and the group Lasse Stefanz added a summer song to the competition called "En sång om sommaren". Unfortunately, both acts did not qualify for the Grand Final of Melodifestivalen 2024 and were elmininated. On the show this week listen to interviews with Danny, Albin, Scarlet and Lia Larsson. Melodifestivalen 2024 - Heat 2 Allstarz Radio International's JP and Ludvig were in Gothenburg at Heat 2 having had the pleasure of chatting with all six acts during the rehearsals and after the live broadcast. Maria Sur also won a place in the Grand Final of Melodifestivalen 2024 after winning the Heat 2 voting and will perform her song "When you are gone" in Stockholm. On the show this week Radio International airs an interview with newcomer C-Joe who placed 4th with the song "Ahumma" as well as Engmans Kapell who placed 5th with the song "Norrland" and ode to the region in the North of Sweden. Unfortunately, both acts were elminiated in Heat 2 and did not advance into the Final or Semi Final of Melodifestivalen. Singer / Songwriter Melanie Wehbe with JP at the Afterparty of Melodifestivalen 2024 - Heat 4 in Eskilstuna Interview with Melanie Wehbe (Melodifestvalen 2023): At the afterparty of Melodifestivalen 2024 - Heat 4 in Eskilstuna, Sweden JP bumped into Melanie Wehbe who is a Swedish Singer / Songwriter and took part in Melodifestivalen 2023 as a singer but also is reponsible for song "Move" by the Mamas who won Melodifestivalen 2020 and it would have been Sweden's entry for the Eurovision Song Contest 2020. However, due to the Corona pandemic, Eurovision 2020 was cancelled. Melanie has written more songs for other acts and in the 2024 edition of Melodifestivalen she is the backing vocalist for the songs of Dotter "It's not easy to write a love song", Lia Larsson "30 km/h" and Elisa Lindstroem "Forever Yours". In addition, Melanie entered a song into the Dansk Melodi Grand Prix 2024 in Denmark performed by Saba. The song is entitled "Sand" and won the Danish National Selection to the Eurovision Song Contest 2024. On Radio International this week we have the big pleasure to welcome to the show the winner of the German National Final - Isaak who will represent Germany with the song "Always on the run", in Malmoe. Both; the Juries and the public voted for Isaak. The Interview Panel of Radio International is looking forward to welcoming Isaak to the show to get to know the young artist from Germany. The selection was narrowed down to 30 acts which were distributed onto five heats. 12 songs will be competing in the Grand Final of Melodifestivalen 2024 on 06 Mar 2024 in Stockholm's Friends Arena. The winner of that show will then represent Sweden at the Eurovision Song Contest 2024. On 03 Feb 2024 saw the first of five heats taking place and with that starting the Melodifestivalen 2024 Roadshow. OGAE Germany's Convention 2023: The annual edition of the the OGAE Germany's Eurovision Convention will exceptionnelly be held on 25 March 2023 in the Bavarian City of Munich. The organisers decided to move to a bigger venue allowowing for more fans to join into the fun of Eurovision Song Contest with the invited special Eurovision acts such as Eurovision Royalty Lenny Kuhr who was one of the four winners of the 1969 Eurovision Song Contest co-winning for the Netherlands back then. Also from the Netherlands who represented the Kingdom eight years earlier was Greetje Kauffeld will join as well as Lindsay D from the United Kingdom as back then being the youngest performer in 2001. There is still a chance to get a place in the Grand Final. Unfortunately, Loreen had a stage invasion during her performance and JP had a chance to chat with Loreen after the show about it as well as a reaction interview with Smash into Pieces after being announced the second act to directly advance into the Grand Final of Melodifestivalen 2023. Salman could get a couple of Interviews with Blanka as well with Jann who became the Runner Up with the song "Gladiator". Unser Lied fuer Liverpool 2023: Germany selects their entry to the Eurovision Song Contest 2023 via the TV show "Unser Lied fuer Liverpool". Nine acts are going to be introduced to the viewing public who will vote for the songs. One of the nine acts will be the lucky winner that will represent Germany at the Eurovision Song Contest 2023 in Liverpool.
