O Brasil está na linha de frente de um dos campos mais promissores — e desafiadores — da ciência contemporânea: a neurotecnologia. A afirmação é da pesquisadora Fabiana Nascimento, especialista em neurociência e comportamento, que atua no desenvolvimento de tecnologias aplicadas à saúde e à educação, com foco em populações historicamente negligenciadas. Em entrevista ao Mulheres Reais, Fabiana explica que os avanços no uso de interfaces cérebro-máquina já permitem, por exemplo, que pessoas com paralisia possam interagir com o mundo por meio de comandos mentais. “Essas tecnologias já são realidade em ambientes clínicos experimentais. Mas o que me preocupa é quem terá acesso a elas”, afirma. A pesquisadora faz um alerta sobre os riscos de aprofundamento das desigualdades. Para ela, o potencial emancipador da neurotecnologia só se realizará se houver investimento público, regulação ética e políticas de inclusão. “É preciso discutir a regulação do uso de dados neurais, a autonomia cognitiva e, principalmente, a equidade no acesso”, pontua. Nascimento também chama atenção para a dimensão de gênero no campo científico. Segundo ela, as mulheres ainda enfrentam barreiras estruturais para ocupar espaços de protagonismo nas neurociências e nas áreas tecnológicas. “Nós, mulheres, somos minoria tanto nos espaços de decisão quanto nas lideranças de pesquisa. E isso tem impacto direto sobre os caminhos que a ciência escolhe trilhar”, observa. A pesquisadora enfatiza que a produção de conhecimento não é neutra. “Se a maioria das decisões sobre o futuro da mente humana estiver nas mãos de um grupo homogêneo — majoritariamente masculino, branco e de classes altas —, as soluções desenvolvidas refletirão essa visão limitada de mundo”, critica. A montagem celebra a diversidade da cena artística da cidade e leva ao público americano um texto revolucionário da dramaturgia latino-americana. Luciana Rosa, correspondente da RFI em Nova YorkA iniciativa é resultado de uma colaboração entre artistas e a produtora Are We In Love?, com o objetivo de apresentar a obra ao público internacional. O ator e produtor Daniel Mazzarolo conta que a ideia surgiu do desejo de deixar uma marca na cidade: “A gente começou a conversar sobre essa vontade de deixar uma marca em Nova York, digamos assim.”Escrita em 1943, “Vestido de Noiva” é considerada a peça que revolucionou o teatro moderno no Brasil. Com estrutura não linear, a trama acompanha Alaíde, uma jovem no leito de morte, navegando entre lembranças, delírios e realidade. A peça explora temas universais como repressão, culpa, moralidade e loucura, rompendo padrões e revelando os conflitos mais profundos da psique e da sociedade.A direção é assinada por Julia Burnier, que descreve o processo como uma jornada intensa. Segundo ela, o projeto começou em janeiro, quando se reuniu com Daniel e com a atriz Ana Moioli. “Foi uma loucura. Eu queria muito dirigir uma peça aqui em Nova York. Já dirigi muito em São Paulo e vim pra cá estudar atuação. Quando começamos a pensar em qual autor trazer, escolhemos Nelson Rodrigues de cara. O público americano não conhece nada de dramaturgia brasileira, então resolvemos trazer o nosso Rodrigues. E ‘Vestido de Noiva' é a minha peça favorita.”Julia destaca ainda que foi um trabalho totalmente independente, um verdadeiro passion project. “Você precisa de muita garra para produzir desse jeito, mas conseguimos reunir uma comunidade brasileira incrível, com artistas de várias nacionalidades — americanos, australianos — algo muito característico de Nova York.”A produção conta também com Catarina Aranha e Beatriz Silva, além de um elenco formado por Ana Moioli, Daniel Mazzarolo, Debora Balardini e Ma Troggian. Foi um mergulho muito grande.”A peça e o idioma“Vestido de Noiva” será apresentado com legendas em inglês, mas adaptar o texto de Rodrigues para uma plateia estrangeira exigiu cuidados. Daniel reconhece que há uma complexidade no estilo do autor: “Tem muita coisa que a gente resolve na atuação. O texto traz uma carga melodramática, mas é uma sofisticação da cultura brasileira. Isso, pra mim, é uma grande qualidade.”Ana Moioli, que interpreta Alaíde, concorda. Para ela, o texto permite uma grande liberdade criativa, ainda que exija sensibilidade na interpretação: “O texto é muito aberto, e esse é um dos maiores valores do Nelson como dramaturgo. Ele nos dá espaço para criar, mesmo sendo fiel ao que está escrito.”Uma peça, três planosSegundo Daniel, a escolha por “Vestido de Noiva” também se deu por seu caráter disruptivo. “Dentro da obra do Nelson, essa peça é icônica. Não tem começo, meio e fim de forma tradicional.
