How often do we find ourselves waiting for motivation to magically appear, especially in our closest relationships?  I've been there too, more times than I'd like to admit. But here's the hard truth I've learned: motivation isn't a reliable spark; it's something we create. In this deeply personal episode, I'm getting raw and honest about the reality of motivation in marriage. I'm sharing behind-the-scenes moments from my own journey with Jessica, the times I let motivation slip, and the small, intentional actions that helped me rebuild connection and intimacy. It's not about grand gestures; it's about showing up even when you don't "feel" like it. Become the best husband and leader you can: www.thedadedge.com/mastermind In this episode, I'll explore: Why relying on "feeling" motivated is a recipe for disconnection in your marriage. The insidious ways that distance can quietly creep into even the strongest relationships. The power of small, consistent acts of love to reignite intimacy and connection. Practical strategies to prioritize your spouse, even when life feels overwhelming. How to break the cycle of waiting for motivation and start leading with action. Here's what research supports about the power of action and intention: Studies show that couples who engage in regular, small acts of kindness report a 28% increase in relationship satisfaction. Research indicates that setting specific, shared goals increases the likelihood of improved communication and intimacy by 35%. Prioritizing quality time has been shown to reduce feelings of loneliness in relationships by 20%. If you're ready to stop waiting for motivation and start actively building a stronger, more connected marriage, this episode is for you. Let's take that first step together. www.thedadedge.com/friday204 www.themensforge.com www.thedadedge.com/25questions www.thedadedge.com/alliance

To start off I want to just bring some encouragement to you- so hear this and claim it as I declare it!You are a beautiful woman of God, you are chosen & called. You were made on purpose and with a  purpose. You have power and authority through Jesus to speak truth over your life and your families lives. You are strong and capable. You are beloved dearly by our heavenly Father. You are seen and known by your creator AND He wants relationship with you! You belong and His beautiful daughter. You are a fantabulous mom, wife, sister, daughter, auntie, grandma and friend. Be encouraged friend, You are right where God wants you to be.  Trust Him, surrender to Him and let Him lead & guide your steps today. Let this be an anthem for you in this busy season friend! DOn't let the enemy rob you of peace during this time! That brings me to this quote I say on the googleQuote for studying- if you don't fill your mind with the word of God, the enemy will fill it with fear, anxiety, stress, worry and temptation. We have to fill our minds with God so that there is no room for any of the garbage that the world is trying to sell us. So let's get into this episode's topic! Building intimacy- other synonyms- closeness, familiarity, confidence, understanding, affection…loved all these words! The only way to not fall back into our old ways or get trapped in sin we thought we were free of is to surrender and spend time with God on the daily. If we don't put these practices into play everyday we will leave ourselves open and vulnerable to the enemy's plots. 1. Stop- stop the busy. Slow down. Take time to enjoy the things around you. But they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint. Isaiah 40:312. Study the word!! I cannot say this enough. And I probably sound like a broken record at times but reading the Bible is KEY to your spiritual growth.        -Today I was reading(this has happened before but it's an example) the bible and I started to ask God some questions about what and why things went down the way they did. And as I started to write, a few things came to mind. It was awesome cause it wasn't til after that I realized that it was sort of a download from Holy Spirit. It wasn' really an ‘answer' per se but it was him talking to me! So boom…just another example of why ti's so important for us to get inthere and do it ourselves…so we can learn to hear from Him!           -Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path- Psalm 119:1053. Sing/shout- in other words. PRAISE & WORSHIP! If you haven't heard the song Praise by brandon lake/maverick city/elevation….GO LISTEN!!! It should AMP you up. THe basic gyst is no matter the circumstance we gotta praise. Declaring the goodness of God and how can we keep that inside!  Praise through our trial and temptaions and all that life thrwos at us…cause guess what HE's got it! It's a great song! All of these things take practice and implementation! So how are you going to implement one of these things today?Get on the waitlist for my Identity Ebook coming soon! > https://rb.gy/76cjaGrab your printable scripture cards here >> https://stan.store/mrsangelapitnikoff/p/30-scripture-cardsWant to learn how to start your own digital marketing business? When we hear the word "intimacy," most of us think about sex. But in reality, intimacy refers to honest connections with others, whether they be with a partner, child, friend, or even God. Dr. Stormy Hill, whom I met while working on my book chapter for Next Level Your Life, takes a broad approach to enhancing intimacy. An occupational therapist, mental health and substance abuse specialist, and intimacy coach, Dr. Stormy dove into studies on intimacy while navigating the waters of raising an autistic son. "It was interesting, sort of a mom-world collision with a professional-world collision," she said. Dr. Stormy, who is one of the celebrity authors of The Transformational Journey: Lessons from Business, Life, and Happiness, now helps individuals and couples explore how to build intimacy through self-confidence, self-love, bliss, and pleasure in and outside the bedroom. Dr. Stormy says having a growth mindset for life, love, and sex teaches us how to develop relationships for maximum satisfaction and spiritual fulfillment. "The only thing about emotions is that they will change, which is why I don't think love is an emotion, it's a force," she told me. In this week's Chiseled podcast, Dr. Stormy shares effective tools to connect with your partner, children, friends, and God, and to overcome the challenges that confront us every day with psychological and physical mastery. If you're interested in how your brain and body work together, you must hear her insights. Once you listen to this podcast, which is full of tips and exercises for building intimacy, you will probably want to learn more. On her website, Dr. Stormy offers a free "Compassionate Self-Care Guide," which is full of practices, videos, guided mediations and links to additional resources for developing intimacy more deeply. I'm betting you will want to check it out. If you have questions or want even more of her incredible guidance, you can reach Dr. Stormy by email or follow her on Instagram. Meanwhile, I hope you hope this enlightening episode of Chiseled.
