By 1985, Eric Clapton's storied career seemed to be flaming out. The Rock God status he'd attained in the 60s with The Yardbirds and Cream and maintained as a solo artist in the 70s had started to wane thanks to inconsistent records, drugs and alcohol. His previous record, Money and Cigarettes, lacked hits and failed to go gold - his first for Warner Brothers. Needing a success in the days of MTV and synthesizers, he turned to Phil Collins who had the magic touch at this time (listen to UAWIL 220 on No Jacket Required). And though they had fun in Montserrat recording the album, all was not well. Eric was slowly but surely breaking up with Pattie Hanson - his wife, the inspiration for Layla and former wife of George Harrison. You can hear his lament on songs like Just Like A Prisoner and the title track. Despite the emotion he may have put into the tracks, Warner Bros weren't happy. So they teamed him up with one of their songwriters, Jerry Lynn Williams, and Van Halen producer Ted Templeman to craft a couple of hits in LA. The single Forever Man did top the mainstream rock charts in the US and helped the album go platinum. But Clapton seems uneasy with some of the synthesizer work and the songs written by others. Nonetheless, this record did bring him some needed success and attention which would lead to bigger achievements in the late 80s, the early 90s and beyond. Released March 11, 1985, we thought this one is an interesting inflection point in Clapton's catalog and worthy of a look as it turns 40. What sets Michael Molthan - M2 The Rock's story apart is the realization that there wasn't just one rock bottom; there were many. And from those challenging moments, he emerged stronger and more determined than ever. Today, he leverages his personal experiences and magnetic, relatable personality to inspire others to embark on their own transformative journeys. Michael Molthan - M2 The Rock is proof that even in the darkest of times, one can find a path to fulfillment and purpose, using rock bottom as a steppingstone rather than an endpoint. Michael Molthan's mission is to raise the meaning of “Rock Bottom” sharing his relatable stories for everyone by rebuilding the “Spirit, Mind, and Body”. When this is “Out of Order” our life is full of chaos and confusion. Michael Molthan doesn't shy away from talking about his painful past of trauma, drug, alcohol, and work addiction. On his talk show called The M2 The ROCK Show, he interviews inspiring people with inspiring stories. For over 2o years, Michael Molthan has been known as one of the most well-known Luxury Homebuilders in Dallas, Texas - The Park Cities and also in the country until 2009.  Michael Molthan finally hit rock bottom. Drugs. Alcohol, and crime. And absolute chaos. He accumulated 27 mugshots in four years and was about to enter a place he swore he would never go: prison. Addiction was Michael's temporary solution to heal from a dark childhood trauma secret. Little did he know that being imprisoned and reading and writing for inmates that could not read or write. On October 13, 2017, Michael was miraculously released 2 years early from prison before completing his sentence. He traveled 300 Miles back to Dallas, Texas, to see Judge Jennifer Bennett to turn himself in.  For the first time Judge Bennett could see this miraculous change that had taken place in Michael's life, so she pardoned him and told him to go “pay it forward”.  That's what Michael Molthan has been doing for the last 7 years.   Michael is the host of The M2 THE ROCK Show, one of the fastest growing shows/podcasts in the country that dives into the topic of self-improvement, spirituality, health, mind, and many more.  Michael Molthan is the author of two books, “300 MILES – Memoir of Michael Molthan” and “Today, I Realize - Daily Devotional 2025” being released in 2025. Michael's main passion is simple and profound: “That Everyone Is An Addict”. FOLLOW M2 THE ROCK BELOW:YOUTUBE: Michael Molthan - YouTubeWEBSITE: https://m2therock.com/ INSTAGRAM: https://www.instagram.com/m2therockshow/        Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/the-m2-the-rock-show-michael-molthan--3443849/support.

As huge Van Halen fans growing up, The Wolf & Action Jackson always took a keen interest in the career of Wolfgang Van Halen and his band Mammoth. Though The Wolf had seen Wolfgang on tour with Van Halen on bass near the end of their run, he'd missed opportunities to see Mammoth in the past. However, he remedied when they hit Louisville on the last night of their latest tour of the USA and boy was he treated to a killer show. Wolfgang Van Halen is front and center as the lead singer, lead guitarist and lead storyteller. He delighted in the fact that his band has received so much support for their first two albums (Mammoth WVH & Mammoth II) and entertained the crowd by pronouncing Louisville (Loo-a-vul) correctly, profusely (and profanely) thanking opening act Intervals and threw us a headfake with a few bars of an Oasis classic. The tight band ripped through songs off Mammoth II like Erase Me, Better Than You and Take A Bow while also breaking out the acoustic for Distance and kicking out his Dad Eddie's favorite Think It Over from the first record. He bends bluesy notes in some of his solos while working in some of that tapping that made Eddie a Rock God. It's no surprise they've earned opening gigs with Metallica and Foo Fighters as well as some top notch European festival spots. Seeing them in a club (The Mercury Ballroom) while they're on their way up was a fun night out and we highly recommend catching them if you can! While Charles chooses to emulate a hard-working creator, Joe surprises his co-host with a deeper answer. He speaks about appreciating his life and gaining perspective on his own existence. This conversation sets the stage for a philosophical exploration of life's mysteries. The hosts then roll the dice and delve into personal story time, where they tackle the thought-provoking question, "What event has caused you to change how you see life?" Joe's answer reveals the transformative power of having children, which has brought him closer to God. Meanwhile, Charles shares how words or phrases can change his perspective on reality. He explains that sometimes, a simple phrase can be the catalyst for a paradigm shift. The episode continues with the "Dear underscore" segment, where the hosts answer listener questions with wisdom and humor. They discuss topics like malicious compliance and finding new friends, offering insightful advice to those in need. Finally, the hosts wrap up the episode by sharing their current distractions of enjoyment. They recommend watching "Winchesters" on HBO Max, "Suits" on Peacock, and playing "Vampire Survivors" on Steam. They also suggest reading "Ready Player One." These diversions offer a respite from life's weightier questions, but they do not distract from the philosophical underpinnings of the show. As the episode draws to a close, Charles and Joe remind their listeners about the official launch of the show on May 11th, which will be live. The conversation has been full of wisdom and insight, bringing meaning and purpose to the listeners' lives. #ohyeahdaddy #Wise_N_Nerdy --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/pokemongopodcast/message

Chat GPT wrote the show notes in the voice of Morgan Freeman! Welcome to another episode of Wise_N_Nerdy, hosted by the iconic Charles "Rock God of Podcasting" McFall and Joe "Embrace the Underscore" Ard. As always, the show begins with a thought-provoking question, and this time they ask their listeners, "Who is your celebrity crush?" As we roll the dice, the conversation takes a turn towards what the hosts are playing and watching. Charles delves deep into his newfound love for the survivor horror game, Dead Space. Although horror games are not his usual cup of tea, he admits to being a huge fan of the game. Joe and Charles then discuss the opposite type of game, Zelda: Breath of the Wild, and its upcoming sequel, Tears of the Kingdom. They also touch upon the popular anime, Demon Slayer, which has captured Charles' attention and is now a shared experience with his daughter, Zoe. The next segment brings us a "Malicious Compliance" story from Reddit that left Joe's blood pressure elevated. He shares why it hit too close to home in the personal story segment, where the hosts discuss dealing with managers at work. To end the episode on a lighter note, Charles and Joe both declare Sandra Bullock as the best, with 100% agreement. Join them for this enthralling episode of Wise_N_Nerdy. #YeahDaddy #Wise_N_Nerdy --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/pokemongopodcast/message

With Bruce in San Antonio, Texas, in the middle of Iron Maiden's world tour, Kev has a unique opportunity to treat him as one of his ‘guinea pigs' and delve deep into the psychology of one of the rock world's true global icons. Kev identifies Bruce as one of the toughest people he's ever met (and, given some of the folk he hangs around with, that's saying something!) But where does that toughness come from? Bruce talks about his childhood in the north of England; about how discipline, resilience and humility are the keys to longevity in the ego-infested waters of the music business; and how a bulb of steamed garlic always helps him ‘come down' after a show! Bruce & Kev rarely talk in a straight line and their fascinating conversation has all the familiar twists and turns that we've now come to expect! Bruce reveals how he once fought off two skinheads outside a pub by fencing them with his umbrella; why airline pilots never eat the same dinner; and how our ego is like a balloon…it shouldn't be pumped up too big, it should be let back down again slowly to prevent it flying all over the place, and if it comes into contact with a prick it has a tendency to explode! You can listen to and watch longer episodes of Psycho Schizo Espresso AD FREE if you become a Patreon at www.patreon.com/psychoschizoespresso or subscribe on Spotify using https://open.spotify.com/show/1NAAT7tPbIaB9FbL4C648W or https://anchor.fm/pse-doubleshot/subscribePlease make sure you like, subscribe, rate, review and comment wherever you get your Podcasts from. Hi my friends, Hope you're having a good one. STEPPENWOLF have always been one of my very favourite bands so nailing JOHN KAY for an interview was something of a coup. He speaks to the media very rarely these days and when he does, it's usually about his charitable foundation - https://mauekay.org/ After months of hounding him, the founder and lead singer of the 60's Canadian American rock band, finally agreed to chat with me. He delves deep into his past with personal stories about his treacherous escape from war-torn Europe. He tells us about his early days in Canada, how he initially formed the band and how he stumbled upon the name from a book by German author Herman Hesse. He talks about Steppenwolf's amazing rise to success. John also shares tales about how living the life of the rock star with all the crazy excesses nearly killed him. He fondly recounts the time recently when he was invited back to a little town in Germany to share the stage with the ghost of Johan Sebastian Bach. Today, John Kay is also incredibly proud of his personal evolution that's seen him transform from ‘Rock God' into Wildlife Warrior. He tells us all about the places he's seen and how his work has been able to help both humans and animals in need. It's fascinating stuff. Don't miss this conversation with Steppenwolf's John Kay or his latest film - Born to Be Wild ‘From Rock Star to Wildlife Advocate'. https://mauekay.org/born-to-be-wild You'll find the transcript to this interview on my website https://abreathoffreshair.com.au/ Please visit and let me know how you enjoy the show. Reloaded 504 Podcast from New Orleans Louisiana and Bam Bam connected through a chat where we both found something in common. Our conversation led to this episode recording one of the most controversial artists of the 90's. That chat I found out that Reloaded 504 chilled with Manson back in 1995. At the time Manson showed him pictures of himself fist fucking someone, which we talked about, and I also realized that to be a fact from reading similar stories in marilyn's 1998 autobiography.   Fun fact: Marilyn Manson was in New Orleans back in 1995 recording his Legendary album The Antichrist Superstar.     What a Kick this was to hear these Random experiences!!   The story of the Marilyn Manson experience was told in this cast, with many more Marilyn Manson details. Finally Bam Bam got a chance to truly dig deep into his most favorite icon that is a Rock God.
