Visiting preacher Graham Webb of our sister church Jubilee Church Liverpool looks at Mark 6. Jesus is rejected in his hometown of Nazareth and sends the twelve disciples on mission. Graham highlights the contrast between the people's lack of faith in Jesus and the disciples' mission of faith and trust in God. Graham encourages us as Christians to embrace our mission with boldness, resilience, and trust in God's plan. Rejection and challenges will come, but Jesus' example teaches perseverance. Faith requires stepping out, even when the outcome is uncertain, because God is always with His people. https://jubileechurchwirral.org.uk/wp-content/uploads/2025/01/Graham-Webb-January-2025.mp3 The post Graham Webb: Rejection first appeared on Jubilee Church Wirral.
In this episode, we speak with Valérie Guénon, Vice President of Product Environment Policies at Safran Aircraft Engines. She shares insights into how the company aims to tackle its environmental challenges through innovative engine design and sustainable fuel integration.Guénon discusses Safran's comprehensive approach to aviation sustainability, and highlights:The RISE (Revolutionary Innovation for Sustainable Engines) program, developed in partnership with GE Aerospace that features an innovative open fan architecture that could significantly reduce fuel consumption by removing the heavy engine nacelle and optimising propulsive efficiency.Safran's commitment to environmental research, with the company dedicating 88% of its self-funded research to environmental performance improvements, covering areas like CO2 reduction, noise reduction, and local air pollution mitigation.Safran is actively working to ensure engine compatibility with 100% Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF), addressing challenges beyond just combustion.Through the Renewable Low Carbon Fuels European Alliance, Safran chairs the aviation chamber and helps coordinate industry-wide efforts to scale up SAF production and adoption. The complexities of hydrogen adoption in aviation, drawing from Safran's experience with rocket propulsion.Safran's electrification initiatives that focus on smaller aircraft through Safran Electrical & Power.Throughout the conversation, Guénon emphasises that while engine manufacturers can't control air traffic growth, they can significantly impact efficiency. Guénon also shares her pioneering experience as a woman in aerospace engineering, highlighting how both cultural changes and legislation have improved gender equality in the field. If you LOVED this episode, you'll also love the conversation we had with Graham Webb, Chief Sustainability Officer at Pratt and Whitney. Guest speaker Graham Webb, of Jubilee Church Liverpool, looks at the Book of Ruth. Graham reminds us that God uses “wounded warriors” like Naomi to send a message to non-believers. Believers who remain faithful to Christ, despite what they're going through, are unusual and powerful and attractive to non-believers. It makes us stand out. By showing kindness to others, we are allowing Jesus to work through us to open the door for a neighbour, friend or colleague to come to God. http://jubileechurchwirral.org.uk/wp-content/uploads/2024/07/Graham-Webb-The-Book-of-Ruth.mp3

Graham Webb from Jubilee Church Liverpool on raising up elders and leaders. As Jubilee announces plans to appoint Dave Frodsham and Rick Robertson as its elders by the end of May 2024, Graham goes over what the Bible says about eldership and leadership. 1 Peter 5: 1-4: So I exhort the elders among you, as a fellow elder and a witness of the sufferings of Christ, as well as a partaker in the glory that is going to be revealed: shepherd the flock of God that is among you, exercising oversight,[a] not under compulsion, but willingly, as God would have you;[b] not for shameful gain, but eagerly; not domineering over those in your charge, but being examples to the flock. And when the chief Shepherd appears, you will receive the unfading crown of glory. Ephesians 3:10: So that through the church the manifold wisdom of God might now be made known to the rulers and authorities in the heavenly places. The Bill Kelly Podcast: The Emergencies Act Inquiry is wrapping up this week. What have we learned so far? & What can we expect next? GUEST: Susan Delacourt, columnist, Toronto Star - The Ontario Health Coalition has officially launched a constitutional challenge against the province's controversial Bill 7. The law allows some discharged elderly hospital patients to be forced into long-term care homes they did not choose in Ontario. Guests: Natalie Mehra, Ontario Health Coalition & Graham Webb of Advocacy Centre for the Elderly - The Ontario government recently proposed a new bill, the More Homes Built Faster Act, or Bill 23. This bill contains some positive elements, like the removal of duplicate plan approval requirements and adding measures aimed at increasing urban density and housing mix. However, Bill 23 also proposes weakening or eliminating many housing development regulations, such as site plan controls, that protect us and our natural environment from the negative effects of poorly built development. If implemented as tabled, the bill will severely disrupt the province's environmental housing regulations. GUEST: Luna Kirfan, Associate Professor, School of Planning, University of Waterloo - Eight per cent of vaccinated people with COVID infections that don't require hospitalization end up with long COVID, with each subsequent infection repeating the risk. COVID increases the risk of cardiovascular and other health problems, enough to cause a stark rise in excess deaths and to shorten life expectancy. In 2020, when adult intensive care units were at risk of being overwhelmed, we wore masks and accepted restrictions. With pediatric intensive care now at risk, will leaders follow the evidence and tell us to mask up? GUEST: Thomas Tenkate, Professor at the School of Occupational & Public Health with Toronto Metropolitan University

Sunday, 25 November 2018 | Graham Webb // Mark 3 | The Way of the Kingdom of God // Jesus was accused of being mad (Mark 3:21). Christians are often accused of this too. But our faith experience is not crazy; it’s a sane reaction to what we know of God’s character and faithfulness. // // They said that Jesus was bad (verse 22). But there was no foundation for this charge. He only did good. // // No: Jesus was God (see Mark 4:41). He was not mad & not bad; he was God and he is worthy of our praise. //

Graham Webb drew us to look for the presence of God. He looked through verses in Exodus about the Tabernacle, which was a large tent that the Israelites made on instructions from God so that He could dwell in their midst. Sunday, 11 February 2018 | Graham Webb – Love God – Encourage One Another – Transform Chester Do you love God? Do you love Jesus? In Joshua 22:5, Joshua is told to be very careful to love the Lord. In Matthew 6:33, Jesus tells us to seek first his kingdom; to put God’s purposes first. Are we careful to love the Lord? Do we put him first? We should. But there is no need for us to feel that this is an onerous obligation or a burden. The amazing truth is that God gives us the power to love him – as well as all the reason we could ever need. Romans 5:5 – God’s love has been poured into our hearts; he helps us to love him!
Listen to Graham Webb speaking for 2 Corinthians. Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God.
Graham Webb speaking from John 3 : 19-21 This is the verdict: Light has come into the world, but people loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil. Everyone who does evil hates the light, and will not come into the light for fear that their deeds will be exposed. But whoever lives by the truth comes into the light, so that it may be seen plainly that what they have done has been done in the sight of God.
Graham Webb, Romans 8:28-30
