Subscribe to the PPM Patreon to access the entirety of Dossiers #4.A, #4.B, & #5. I would not be able to sustain this project without your support. Thank you so very much. patreon.com/ParaPowerMapping This installment especially revolves around Chuck D's recent appointment as Global Music Ambassador, the headlining act in a Jazz Ambassadors rebrand that has been jointly organized by Anthony Blinken's (a genocidaire directly connected to Ghislaine Maxwell via his stepdad Samuel Pisar who repped Robert Maxwell) State Department & Zion·ist Lyor Cohen's Youtube... The second major aspect of this "Dossier" would be our cracking open of the Diddler's leaked party album, which takes us down some dark alleys indeed. Providing further Zion·ist links via his attendance at Guy Oseary's Jews Who Rock party, we also happen upon two incredibly cursed images—the Diddler, Epstein affiliates Naomi Campbell & Kevin Spacey, & Heath Ledger all draped over each other at Paris Fashion Week 2001... An image that conjures a line of inquiry into the symptomatic similarities between Ledger & Kim Porter's respective unexpected deaths... And another, slightly earlier, revealing pic of Diddy's White Parties in the Hamptons, which Michael Rubin has since taken over (possibly to Diddler's chagrin) and which shows a younger version of #1 philanderer Leo DiCaprio hanging out w/ P Diddy, which maybe says something about Hollywood Babylon & Leo's propensity for dating very young models. And the third major component is a recurrent theme on the show in recent months, namely streaming's place within the pantheon of weaponized media forms... And there is perhaps no more of an illustrative case study for examining streaming's emergence and for examining its appeal to the powers that be & the capitalist elite who've enabled its youth-conquering rise than: Jason Itzler, aka Mr. Based. We dig into an anecdote that Mr. Based shared on one of his streams, describing how he was "sexually assaulted in the eyes" once by Diddy in the '90s at the Reebok Club in NY. The Diddler & Itzler occupying a particular social milieu in NY in the '90s and running into each other, leading to this uncomfortable encounter in Itzler's retelling, opens the door for us to examine Mr. Based's incredibly sus career prior to his streaming renaissance as a 50-something pervert who assaults women on camera... Namely the fact that, at one time, he operated one of the most successful cam girl companies and one of the biggest & most luxurious escort services in all of the Big Apple. We learn how Itzler may have even played a Diddy-esque informing role that led to former NY Gov. Spitzer's sex worker scandal downfall (a lady that Itzler had recruited)... And wouldn't you know it, we unpack how Jason just so happens to come from two incredibly powerful, mobbed-up Zion·ist families in both Philly & NYC, both of which connect him directly to Meyer Lansky & Golda Meir (who used to stay at his family home when he was a youngster). I layout how Itzler's Grandfather on his Sylk side in Philly was a pharmacy tycoon who served as Truman's point person on the "Israel question" and even purchased the "Exodus" steam packet ship that would play a crucial role in the colonizing of the Holy Land, as this American Zion·ist backed effort to illegally ferry Holocaust survivors to the British Mandate turned into a rallying cry for the Israeli ethnonationalist project as the men, women, & children became stranded in a near-interminable limbo of foreign ports & sea, refused entry. This and more we cover in the full version of today's ep. Infinite Improvisation Podcast: adventures in music and creativity with Steve Treseler and Lauren Best. The first episode of our interview series, a conversation with Ed Littlefield. We discuss Ed's journey studying Native Lingít music alongside jazz, community music making, composing a song for Betty White (first 10 seconds: https://youtu.be/yp0yf5PpqkA), and much more! Ed Littlefield is a freelance percussionist, educator, and composer based out of Seattle, WA. He is Lingít from Sitka, Alaska and has released three albums featuring traditional native melodies, which he also arranged into the jazz idiom with the Native Jazz Quartet. This quartet represented the United States in South America as “Jazz Ambassadors” through the American Music Abroad program. For film he composed a song for the 2009 Disney movie The Proposal for Betty White's character and played the percussion score and consulted on indigenous music for the 2022 documentary Exposing Muybridge. Ed has played K'alyaan in the world-premiere of Battles of Fire and Water by Dave Hunsaker and written and performed an original musical score for Eurydice by Sara Ruhl for Perseverance Theater in Juneau, Alaska. He has done sound design and composition for the world premieres of Our Voices Will Be Heard by Vera Starbard, and was the composer and cultural advisor for They Don't Talk Back by Frank Katasse at Native voices at the Autry, La Jolla Playhouse and Perseverance Theater. He also did sound design for Off the Rails by Randy Reinholz at the Oregon Shakespeare Festival and Sovereignty by Mary Kathryn Nagle at Arena Stage. Most recently he composed the songs for a new play produced by the University of Illinois – Urbana-Champaign called The Neverland by Madeline Sayet. Currently he is working on a three-year project to create the first ever Lingít opera. This project will combine traditional contemporary Lingít melodies inside the western opera genre and will also include an all-indigenous cast. Ed is an active educator around the country, facilitating artist residencies for students and teachers to help them learn more about Lingít culture and music and traditional ways of knowing. The story of The Real Ambassadors, a jazz musical created by Dave Brubeck and Iola Brubeck for Louis Armstrong in the 1950/60s. The original show, featured Louis Armstrong, Carmen McCrae, Dave Brubeck and Lambert Hendricks and Bavan, and was performed live only once, at the Monterey Jazz Festival in 1962. This year's Monterey Jazz Festival, September 23-25, 2022, is the 60th Anniversary of the performance. The musical is based on the Jazz Ambassadors Program established by President Eisenhower and the US State Department during the Cold War as an effort to win hearts and minds around the world. Jazz musicians were sent out to represent the freedom and creativity of America through their art form. The irony is that Louis Armstrong, Dizzy Gillespie and most of the other Jazz Ambassadors were Black—they were treated like royalty around the world, but could not stay in hotels or play in integrated bands in their own country. The Brubeck's musical was a chance for Louis Armstrong to speak out about his deep feelings about racism and segregation in this country — feelings he rarely expressed publicly. The story features original music, rare archival recorded letters back and forth between the Brubecks and Louis Armstrong about the project, rehearsal recordings and interviews with Dave and Iola Brubeck. Other voices include: the Brubeck's sons, Chris and Dan Brubeck; Keith Hatschek, author of newly released book, "The Real Ambassadors;” Ricky Riccardi, Director of Research Collections for the Louis Armstrong House Museum; and singer/actress Yolande Bavan, the last surviving performer involved in the project. The Real Ambassadors is a poignant tale of cultural exchange, anti-racism, jazz history, and it's a love story—between life-long husband and wife partners, Iola and Dave Brubeck and their vision for a better world. The Peabody Award winning Kitchen Sisters, Davia Nelson and Nikki Silva, have created hundreds of stories for NPR, public media and their Webby Award-winning podcast “The Kitchen Sisters Present.” Brandi Howell is a member of The Kitchen Sisters team and the producer of The Echo Chamber, a podcast about music and its social impact. The Real Ambassadors was produced by The Kitchen Sisters (Nikki Silva and Davia Nelson) and Brandi Howell in collaboration with Jackson Spenner. Mixed by Jim McKee. On today's episode, Scott interviews his good friend, New Jersey's own trumpeter, Joe Mosello, whose impressive career includes touring credits with: the Jazz Ambassadors of the U.S. Army Field Band in Washington, D.C., and the legendary Maynard Ferguson Orchestra (Joe also played on four of Maynard's albums). Joe has played dozens of Broadway shows, was a member of the Tony Awards Orchestra for over a decade, and spent twenty five years as a member of the Thad Jones/Mel Lewis Orchestra. To top it all off, we shared the stage across decades behind iconic artists ranging from Frankie Valli to Aretha Franklin. You'll hear how Joe developed his chops, what it means to a musician to play WITH your idol, (Maynard Ferguson), how to earn a living in music, and learn more about how he made his dreams into reality. Without a doubt, this trumpet player certainly GOT CHOPS. “A blue note in a minor key—America has its secret sonic weapon—Jazz.” That was the headline in 1955 when the United States sent its top musicians overseas to promote democracy. They called them the Jazz Ambassadors—Louis Armstrong, Duke Ellington, Dizzy Gillespie, and Dave Brubeck. Today, in honor of Dave Brubeck month (May 4 is Dave Brubeck day — that’s 5/4 named for the 5/4 time signature of take 5) the story of Dave Brubeck and the Jazz Ambassadors. In 1958, the Dave Brubeck Quartet embarked on a tour of Europe and Asia sponsored by the U.S. State Department. And a special interview with Dave Brubeck’s sons, Dan and Chris Brubeck and what it was like growing up with their very unusual and genius father. Excellent musicians in their own right, the two share intimate memories of their father and his legendary contributions to modern jazz. Featuring interviews with Keith Hatschek, Program Director for Music Management and Music Industry Studies at the University of Pacific; and Mike Wurtz, Assistant Professor and Head of Special Collections and Archives at the Holt-Atherton Special Collections at the University of Pacific Library. The archival recording of Dave Brubeck is from his interview with Monk Rowe from the Fillius Jazz Archive at Hamilton College. Produced by Brandi Howell for The Echo Chamber Podcast.
April is Jazz Appreciation Month and April 30 is UNESCO's International Jazz Day. So designated to highlight jazz and its diplomatic role of uniting people around the world, International Jazz Day is celebrating its 10th anniversary in 2021. Not only is jazz an art form that comes from the United States, it was born in New Orleans, the Crescent City. In recognition of the important history of this uniquely American musical art form, both nationally and internationally, Congress authorized the New Orleans Jazz National Historical Park in 1994. Congress created the park to protect a significant American cultural treasure... jazz. But jazz was embraced by the world and is an international treasure. Some of the greatest jazz artists of all time toured the world on behalf of the U.S. government, helping to spread the love of jazz far and wide. These “Jazz Ambassadors” included Louis Armstrong and an excerpt of his interview with a Czech journalist on Radio Free Europe while touring in then-Czechoslovakia is featured in the episode. For the definitive story on the history and impact of the Jazz Ambassadors, check out https://www.pbs.org/wnet/jazz-ambassadors/. And while the Jazz Ambassadors program no longer exists, the State Department continues to do music diplomacy today, including jazz, but also featuring a wide range of genres from hip hop to zydeco. With education being the focus of the national park, we also include excerpts of two musical programs we attended, the first an introductory talk by a park ranger and the second a concert with jazz pianist Kyle Roussel. The park is currently closed due to the pandemic but virtual musical programs are still available. As always, visit the park's website to obtain the most current information, including regarding closures and altered hours. In 1958, the Dave Brubeck Quartet embarked on a tour of Europe and Asia sponsored by the U.S. State Department. HEAR THE STORY. This episode features interviews with Keith Hatschek, Program Director for Music Management and Music Industry Studies at the University of Pacific; and Mike Wurtz, Assistant Professor and Head of Special Collections and Archives at the Holt-Atherton Special Collections at the University of Pacific Library. The archival recording of Dave Brubeck is from his interview with Monk Rowe from the Fillius Jazz Archive at Hamilton College. Dave Brubeck and The Jazz Ambassadors Dan Brubeck: The more repressed a society is, the more they admire the freedom you can find in jazz. Jazz is America. People behind the Iron Curtain started falling in love with jazz. Chris Brubeck: The idea was if we get jazz musicians to go out, that represents freedom. People could express themselves in this kind of way out of that kind of democracy comes that kind of expression.ARCHIVAL: Louis ArmstrongChris Brubeck: You're not going to get a repressed environment like communism. That seemed to be the idea. I mean, if you saw a Louis Armstrong back then you know, your heart opens up and you're like, wow, this is great. This guy is totally cool. He loves everyone and he's expressing himself and he just made people happy all over the world. So that's a way better defense against fighting communism than fighting might with might and all that, you know. It's like nowadays, maybe we would just bomb them or something.Brandi Howell: Welcome to The Echo Chamber. I'm your host, Brandi Howell. On today's episode, The Jazz Ambassadors, a blue note and a minor key, America has its secret sonic weapon, jazz. This was a headline in 1955 when the United States seeing jazz as propaganda to promote democracy abroad sent its top musicians overseas. The music they thought was a universal language, knowing no national boundaries. So off they sent the so-called jazz ambassadors, Louis Armstrong, Duke Ellington, Benny Goodman, Dizzy Gillespie, and lastly, Dave Brubeck. His experience with the program is the focus of this episode.Keith Hatschek: It was a brilliant use of what we have come to term soft power. Eisenhower realized that bullets and bombs ultimately would never decide the outcome of the future of this battle between the capitalist system and the socialist system. He very wisely invested in cultural exchanges. They were dubbed unofficially the "jazz ambassadors", Duke Ellington, Dave Brubeck, Dizzy Gillespie. The groups were chosen to go overseas and play their music. This battle for the hearts and minds of all these territories around the world who were not directly linked to either the Western powers or the Soviet Union played out not so much in a military sense, but in a cultural sense. Why not send a jazz quartet and have them go and do their thing in these various countries and territories? I'm Keith Hatschek. I'm the author of "The Impact of American Jazz Diplomacy in Poland During the Cold War Era". As far as my interest in the jazz ambassadors, I teach at the University of the Pacific and we are the place where the jazz musician Dave Brubeck and his wife Iola decided to bequeath their papers and all of their archival materials. They both attended school here in the 1940s. Dave went on of course to become a world renowned jazz musician and composer and humanitarian. And one of the things that really struck him was that he was a GI during World War II. He was in the European theater of operations and he ended up leading a band called the Wolf Pack. And after the war, after hostilities had ceased. the band stayed on and they played both for GIs, but also refugees who were displaced over there. And it really gave him a look into what it was like in Europe in the aftermath of the devastation of World War Two. Later, when he became more popular in the 1950s, his music started to be broadcast over the Voice of A...

Welcome Christmas performed by The Jazz Ambassadors of The United States Army Field Band.
We think of music and art as bringing us pleasure or entertainment. But it can also help in -- of all things -- foreign policy. The State Department has said that hearts and minds can be won through culture just as effectively as through guns of the field. In this segment, Chief Musician Mike Bayes of the United States Navy Band talks about how music and culture were used during the Kennedy Administration to bring the world a positive view of America -- from Jazz Ambassadors to the creation of elaborate arrival ceremonies at the White House.
