It can feel frustrating when you're doing everything right, and you hit a plateau.  Hot flashes, weight gain, and energy issues are massive symptoms.  Menopause is natural. My first tip is to always travel with a water bottle to stay hydrated. It can feel frustrating when you're doing everything right, and you hit a plateau.  Hot flashes, weight gain, and energy issues are massive symptoms.  Menopause is natural. However, suffering is optional.  In a quick window of time, we can feel improvements and feel empowered.  [07:10] The Importance of Maintaining Healthy Ovarian Function   We can restore and keep healthy ovarian function by looking at hormone disrupters and clearing them from our bodies. Plus, we should support the liver and detoxification.  Healthy habits will allow us to have our menstrual cycles for longer - it's a longevity marker. One of the risk factors for diabetes and pre-diabetes is menopause. A higher risk factor is if you've had a hysterectomy. Thirdly, if you've had your ovaries removed, you have a significantly higher risk of diabetes. If you had your ovaries removed, even before 65, your risk of cardiovascular disease is almost double.  The association with diabetes tells how important it is to maintain healthy ovarian function.  [09:10] Why Women Need More Ketones Between The Ages of 35 and 55  During ages 35 - 55, the use of glucose in a women's brain significantly decreases.  Instead, you shift to using ketones for fuel in the brain. Dr. Cabeca emphasizes the importance of greens.
