În dimineața zilei, Președinția de la Chișinău a emis un comunicat în care explică cum s-a întâmplat că unul dintre figuranții dosarului a ajuns să fie grațiat de președinta Maia Sandu. Înainte de arestarea în Rusia, Nicolae Șepeli nu a avut antecedente penale. Acesta a fost ademenit într-o rețea de traficanți de droguri, cazul lui fiind calificat internațional drept victimă a traficului de ființe umane, statut confirmat inclusiv de organizația La Strada. Președinția anunță că realizează verificări „pentru a îmbunătăți mecanismele de verificare și prevenire pe viitor a unor astfel de situații”. Scrisorile redactate de elevi urmează să fie transmise destinatarilor prin intermediul Ambasadei Ucrainei în Republica Moldova. Inițiativa a fost concepută pentru a oferi copiilor afectați de războiul din Ucraina un semn de apropiere, sprijin moral și empatie din partea colegilor lor din Republica Moldova.   *** Drumurile din rețeaua rutieră națională sunt practicabile în această dimineață pe întreg teritoriul Republicii Moldova, după intervenții desfășurate în ultimele 12 ore, după ninsorile abundente din weekend. Meteorologii anunță că, pe parcursul zilei de luni, cerul va fi variabil, iar local vor cădea precipitații slabe. Temperaturile vor indica o ușoară încălzire, totuși minimele nocturne rămân negative, între −10 și −4 grade.

Mai mult, inițiativa a venit din partea americană, ceea ce a reprezentat un semnal clar că Moldova continuă să se afle în atenția Washingtonului.  Diplomatul a subliniat că vizitele vor fi la nivel de ministere și instituții din domeniul energetic și economic și că negocierile sunt de o importanță majoră și „vor ajuta la deschiderea unui nou capitol” în relațiile bilaterale. *** O nouă rundă de negocieri pentru pacea în Ucraina începe astăzi la Geneva între reprezentanții Rusiei, SUA și Ucrainei. Negocierile vor fi unele dificile. Este puțin probabil ca războiul să se încheie prea curând, pentru că Putin va face totul pentru a-l prelungi, a declarat la RFI analistul politic Nicolae Țibrigan, cercetător la Academia Română. *** La Chișinău are loc, în premieră, extinderea celui mai amplu proiect dedicat sculpturii românești contemporane, „Luna Sculptorilor Români”, ajuns la cea de-a VI-a ediție. Evenimentul marchează sărbătorirea a 150 de ani de la nașterea lui Constantin Brâncuși și integrează capitala Republicii Moldova în circuitul internațional al acestui demers cultural, consolidând dialogul artistic dintre România și Republica Moldova. Astăzi și mâine este valabil un Cod Portocaliu și Cod Galben de precipitații puternice și intensificări ale vântului. Pe drumuri este posibil să se formeze ghețuș, iar izolat se pot produce depuneri de lapoviță și polei. Agenția națională a drumurilor îndemnă șoferii să manifeste prudență sporită. În următoarele zile, temperaturile ar putea coborî până la -10 grade noaptea.

A sentencing date has been set for the Minnesota man convicted last week in the fatal stabbing of a teenager while tubing on a western Wisconsin river. Nicolae Miu will be sentenced on July 31st in St. Croix County Circuit Court in Hudson. Following a tense and emotional trial, Nicolae Miu, 54, has been convicted of first-degree reckless homicide for the fatal stabbing of 17-year-old Isaac Schuman at the Apple River in western Wisconsin in 2022.
