Dalle adozioni responsabili al recupero dei randagi, il racconto di Maia svela il lavoro quotidiano dei volontari dell'associazione La strada verso casa in Sardegna L'amore per gli animali può trasformarsi in un impegno quotidiano capace di cambiare vite. È quanto accade all'interno de La strada verso casa, associazione che dal 2018 si occupa del recupero e della tutela dei cani abbandonati, offrendo loro una nuova opportunità attraverso percorsi di cura, accoglienza e adozione responsabile. A raccontare questa realtà è stata Maia, giovane volontaria intervenuta ai microfoni di Unica Radio. Nel corso dell'intervista ha spiegato il lavoro svolto ogni giorno da decine di persone che dedicano tempo, energie e risorse a una missione precisa: salvare gli animali dalla strada e accompagnarli verso una famiglia pronta ad accoglierli. Una realtà nata dal volontariato L'associazione nasce dall'iniziativa di alcune ragazze che hanno deciso di intervenire concretamente contro il fenomeno del randagismo in Sardegna. Negli anni il progetto è cresciuto fino a coinvolgere tra i trenta e i quaranta volontari che si alternano quotidianamente nelle attività del rifugio. Maia è entrata a far parte del gruppo circa due anni fa. Da allora contribuisce alla gestione della struttura e al benessere degli animali ospitati. Il rifugio opera in totale autonomia e si sostiene esclusivamente grazie alle donazioni di privati cittadini che credono nel progetto. L'assenza di finanziamenti pubblici rende ancora più importante il sostegno della comunità. Ogni contributo viene utilizzato per garantire cibo, cure veterinarie, farmaci e manutenzione degli spazi dedicati agli animali. Il lavoro quotidiano dei volontari Dietro ogni adozione c'è un lungo percorso fatto di impegno e dedizione. All'interno de La strada verso casa i volontari non si occupano soltanto dell'alimentazione e della pulizia degli spazi. Una parte fondamentale del loro lavoro riguarda infatti la socializzazione dei cani. Carezze, passeggiate, gioco e attenzioni aiutano gli animali a recuperare fiducia nelle persone dopo esperienze spesso segnate da abbandono, maltrattamenti o solitudine. L'associazione presta aiuto principalmente ai cani, ma offre supporto anche ai gatti attraverso una rete di stalli domestici. Ogni attività viene organizzata con precisione per utilizzare al meglio le risorse disponibili e garantire assistenza a un numero sempre maggiore di animali. Adozioni responsabili contro il randagismo Uno degli obiettivi principali de La strada verso casa è trovare una famiglia per ogni animale recuperato. La Sardegna continua infatti a confrontarsi con il problema del randagismo, una situazione che coinvolge numerosi cani e gatti presenti sul territorio. Per questo motivo l'associazione dedica grande attenzione alle adozioni consapevoli. Non si tratta semplicemente di affidare un animale, ma di individuare la famiglia più adatta alle sue esigenze e al suo carattere. Ogni adozione rappresenta una vittoria per i volontari. Significa vedere un cane lasciare il rifugio per iniziare una nuova vita fatta di sicurezza, affetto e stabilità. Un percorso che spesso cancella anni di sofferenza vissuti in strada.

Può essere una famiglia che non ti capisce, un marito che senti distante, i figli che ti mettono alla prova o un lavoro che ti ha deluso nel profondo. Abbiamo sperimentato che la Risurrezione non passa per le scorciatoie o per la voglia di scappare, ma per una via molto più stretta: rimanere aderenti alla verità della propria vita, fino in fondo, proprio quando fa più male. È in quel punto di massima tensione, nel cuore della tua “croce”, che avviene il vero passaggio verso la libertà. Smettere di contraccambiare il male Per anni ho vissuto reagendo, sfogando sugli altri vagoni di male che avevo ricevuto. Ma la vera Pasqua per me è stata ricevere uno spirito nuovo che mi ha reso capace di non arrabbiarmi, di non lottare più per difendere me stesso o le mie ragioni, di non dover per forza restituire il colpo. “Se morirete con Cristo, risorgerete con Cristo” non è uno slogan, ma la possibilità concreta di lasciar morire quella parte di te che vuole sempre giustizia per sé, per far nascere una vita che sgorga concretamente da Dio. La Croce è visibile, la Risurrezione va cercata Il dolore lo vediamo benissimo tutti, è concreto e ci tocca ogni giorno; per questo è così facile restare concentrati solo sulla nostra sofferenza. Ma la Risurrezione è un invito personale che richiede un atto di fede: è credere che se accetti di “perdere” la tua battaglia per avere ragione o per salvarti da solo, allora Lui ti farà risorgere. La Pasqua per noi non è un ricordo, ma la forza che oggi trasforma un cuore schiavo del rancore in un cuore finalmente libero. Non aver paura di stare dentro a tutto questo: è proprio lì che si apre la strada della Risurrezione. Buon ascolto!

Marcelo perderá aún la calma ficticia cuando compruebe que su amigo intelectual ha cometido una barbaridad absurda, totalmente impropia del referente al que admiraba. Today is World AIDS Day, if anyone needed to be reminded. Though I considered doing a compendium episode of broad scope commemorating a handful of the thousands upon thousands of musicians that succumbed to AIDS, I decided instead to focus on one, Broadway icon Larry Kert, who created the role of Tony in West Side Story and was subsequently an early Robert in Sondheim's Company, for which he was nominated for a Tony Award. On December 5, we observe his 95th birthday. In between these career highs, he was involved in a number of notorious Broadway flops (Breakfast at Tiffany's, La Strada, and Rags) from each of which we hear rare recordings. And yet during his life, superstardom eluded him. It's quite likely that some of this had to do with him having lived his life openly and unapologetically as a gay man in a time when most comparable figures were deeply in the closet. But Larry was also a familiar figure on television of that era, appearing as a guest star on popular series, on game shows, on commercials, and as a particular favorite of Johnny Carson on The Tonight Show, in which he made 29 guest appearances. He also was often seen as a replacement in and on tours of popular musicals such as Cabaret, Two Gentlemen of Verona, I Can Get It for You Wholesale, and, finally, La Cage aux Folles, to name just a few. In that last show, his frail health meant that he had to miss significant numbers of performances, though he continued to make important appearances on stage and on recordings until just shortly before his death on June 5, 1991 at the age of 60. On the episode, we hear him with such legendary co-stars as Teresa Stratas, Liza Minnelli, Chita Rivera, Madeline Kahn, Maureen McGovern, Mimi Hines, and Harvey Evans, as well as his WSS co-star Carol Lawrence. We also trace the support and influence he received over the course of his career from his trusted friend Martin Charnin, who played a sometimes surprising role in Kert's career. Though Larry Kert felt that he never received the recognition he deserved, this episode demonstrates how he stood at the forefront of all Broadway tenors of his generation, as well as past and future ones. Ferragamo's grandson owns part of the family wine company out of Tuscany, Il Borro, a super Tuscan wine producer, and Pinino, a Brunello wine producer. Partendo da questa constatazione, Lizard ha sviluppato un modello innovativo di “Furniture as a service” che permette agli arredamenti di vivere più cicli di vita; ma a una condizione: pianificarlo fin dall’inizio. Il processo, infatti, prende il via con la selezione di un catalogo ad hoc di mobili adatti a subire ripetuti processi di montaggio e smontaggio, riparazione e remanufacturing; e la ricerca dei futuri utenti di un arredamento inizia quando ancora è in uso.
