Have you ever felt like you were the outsider at work? Have you ever been part of the inside group, the group that was highly effective and made things happen? Cliques aren't just in High School, they exist everywhere including the workplace. At work they can be a good thing, and a bad thing.

Following on from the last episode on 'interviewing as an ally', this is the first episode in a series of crossovers where we share interviews with some of our previous panellists. This episode comes from a podcast called Prompted by Nature, from the very aptly named Helen Forester. Helen chats to creative people to learn how nature feeds into and inspires there work, and in this episode she speaks to Soraya Abdel-Hadi. Listeners of On The Outside will know Soraya from episode on horses in sport, climbing topless and Kendal Mountain Festival 2021. She has often spoken from her position as the Founder of All The Elements, a nonprofit community working to increase diversity in the UK outdoors . But I know Soraya as a writer, creative and artist who draws in nature and draws from nature. This conversation between Helen and Soraya is a lovely insight to that side of her work, and it will resonate with anyone who is likewise, Prompted by Nature.Listen to Prompted by Nature >>Follow All The Elements >>Plus - it's been busy at OTO HQ, and in this episode there is a little bit of an update on where my energies have been over the past few months....SAVE THE DATE: Tremula Festival is talking place 20th-21st September 2024! Hi! Welcome back to another episode of Happily Together with Kara and Caleb. This episode was easily the most fun and most energetic conversation that we've had on our podcast and we just know that you're going to fall in love with Amy and Jess like we did. Adult friendships are sometimes hard and that's why we sat down with Amy and Jess and they gave us the adult guide to building meaningful friendships in today's chaotic and crazy world. A Quote That We Loved: "If you want good friendships, learn how to be self-aware." On this episode, we covered: Why are adult friendships so hard How breaking up as friends is different than as a partner and why is it's more difficult Why Chapter 6 (When You're On The Outside) is Amy's favorite chapter Why we feel lonely in friendships and how we can create more meaning inside them 10 qualities of a really good friend The big problem we all face – emotional dumping on friends More about Jess and Amy: Jess Johnston and Amy Weatherly met through the beauty of the internet three years ago. After bonding over queso and the Enneagram, their friendship easily moved from surface-level to deep, raw and authentic. Their conversations seemed to always end on the topic of friendship – the source of some of their highest highs, but also their lowest low. Together they created the Sister, I Am With You online community, a space where millions of women get real about friendship. No topic is left off the table; Jess & Amy pour their hearts daily into encouraging women across the globe to engage in authentic connection with each other. In their debut book, I'll Be There (But I'll Be Wearing Sweatpants): Finding Unfiltered Real-Life Friendships in This Crazy, Chaotic World, Jess & Amy offer an-easy-to-follow road map to the place we all desperately want to be—authentic friendships. The message of the book is simple: let's not do life alone; let's do it together. Jess & Amy share real life examples and actionable steps we can all take to build deep and satisfying friendships. ——— Amy Weatherly is a Texas girl through and through, which is where she lives with her husband, three kids, and two rescue dogs--Lou and Brewster. She is passionate about helping women embrace courage, confidence, and purpose for their life, and she does it with a quick wit and down-to-earth sense of humor. She has written for the Today Show, MSN.com, Good Morning America, Yahoo.com, and Love What Matters. Find Amy on Instagram, here. Find Amy on Facebook, here. Jess Johnston lives in Southern California with her husband and four kids who are the loves of her life. Her favorite thing to do is to sit around a table with her best friends, eating nachos and laughing until her stomach hurts. She is the co-author of I'll Be There (But I'll Be Wearing Sweatpants).
On this episode of the Nordy Derk Podcast, we discuss the horror puzzle game series, Penumbra. Join us as we cower in fear at zombie dogs, crazy acid trips, and monsters with their guts ON THE OUTSIDE!!! Podcast RSS
