Today's witness if from my friend Jess. I have only known Jess for about a year and a half and yet it is clear to see how much the Lord loves her. She has a very intimate relationship with Him and spends a lot of time cultivating this. She spends time talking with Him, praying with Him, and in Adoration with Him. She has been a part of the unbound ministry for 20 years, which sounds crazy to me because she definitely doesn't look old enough to have been doing it that long. I asked if she started Unbound when she was 10, she did not.  Jess has a very kind soul and is a powerful prayer warrior. Her testimony reminds of of at least two very important things. First, everyone is going through something, and you never know what someone is going through. Just looking at Jess, or even spending time with her and getting to know her, you would never guess she has been through all that she has been through. The second is that we are never too broken for God to use. Sometimes, we think we have been through too much, we have done too much, and God can't use us. God can and will use any of us if we are willing. Listen to this witness and how, even in really hard times, Jess knew God was looking out for her. I will read her testimony to you. There has always been someone watching out for me, sometimes more than one person watching out for me. This is how I know God has big plans for my life and will be using me many times over.    I have always felt like I am on borrowed time, and maybe I am. Borrowed time to do the work of the kingdom and bringing it to earth. Before I was born, my nana had consecrated me to Mama Mary, that would explain why my birthday is a Marian feast day! My parents divorced when I was a few months old, and When I was about six months old, I was sitting in a chair at my Grammy and nano's house in the living room. My nano was cleaning his gun, and it went off and missed my head by mere millimeters. I had fallen and split my head open on a brick fireplace by the time I was 1 year old. I started having seizures shortly thereafter. One seizure nearly killed me. My temperature

You Were Made for This

There's a school of thought out there that says to make friends it's important to be vulnerable by sharing your story. Some call it “being authentic.” Yet it's been my experience that sharing your story when someone is trying to share there's may end up pushing people away. Some would call that being self-centered. Today's episode, though, is about three reasons to be stingy in sharing your story. But before we get into today's episode, here's what this podcast is all about.   Welcome to You Were Made for This If you find yourself wanting more from your relationships, you've come to the right place. Here you'll discover practical principles you can use to experience the life-giving relationships you were made for. I'm your host, John Certalic, an award-winning author and relationship coach. I'm here to help you find more joy in the relationships God designed for you. To access all past and future episodes, go to the bottom of this page to the yellow "Subscribe" button, then enter your name and email address in the fields above it.  The episodes are organized chronologically and are also searchable by topics, categories, and keywords. In the last episode If the phrase “be stingy in sharing your story” sounds familiar it's probably because you heard it used in episode 202, “The Best Stories.” It was in reference to the listening advice shared in the interview I did with Linda Crouch, a retired missionary friend. She talked about her friend Meg who listened well to Linda talking about her recent trip to Nigeria. Even though Meg was a missionary herself, she was stingy in sharing her own story. So Linda had all the time she needed to tell hers. I love this word, “stingy.”  I never thought of it being a good word with a positive connotation to it. Ebenezer Scrooge in Charles Dickens A Christmas Carol come to mind when I hear the word “stingy.”   But in the context of relationships, “stingy in sharing our story” is a great principle on several levels, when used properly. Here are three reasons why: Being stingy in sharing your story honors the person sharing there's In any meaningful conversation you can't have two stories going on at once. Unfortunately, though, you see this happening all too often. Tune in any TV or radio news show with 3 or more hosts and invariably you hear them talking over each other, fighting for air time. A meaningful conversation requires someone to take the high road by being quiet and listening. We honor people when we relinquish our turn to be the center of attention. It gives voice to people who may not have had a voice. It's a biblical principle as well. James 1:19, that familiar passage says, “…be quick to listen and slow to speak.” When we take that to heart and put it into practice it manifests another Biblical concept we read in Romans 12:10, “…take delight in honoring each other.” Being stingy in sharing your story brings out the best in you A second reason why being stingy with your story when someone is sharing there's is a great practice is because it brings out the best in you. The best in you displays relational hospitality, where you invite people into interaction with you by giving them the floor and allowing them to be the focus of attention. To let someone go first in sharing their story is an act of humility, which is always found in the best of our character traits. It's a sacrifice to let someone have the air time we would like. Letting someone else have the spot light without interruption from you models what good listening looks like. And when we model something for others that will bring out the best in them, it brings out the best in ourselves. Being stingy in sharing your story is an antidote to our loneliness As counterintuitive as it sounds, being stingy in sharing your story is an antidote to loneliness. When you hold back on talking about yourself it creates an opportunity to learn about someone else and a possible point of connection based on their life, not yours. We have a missionary friend who grew up in a large family where everyone talked. In order to be heard she learned how to fight for airtime by talking a lot herself. While that skill served her well as a child, it did just the opposite as an adult. Instead of drawing people to herself, talking a great deal pushed people away. Consequently, she was often lonely. Another thing. When we hold back on talking about ourself so that others can share their story it creates the possibility of broadening our world, which tends to dissipate loneliness.   Now I'll be the first to admit that many times the stories people share about themselves are boring and repetitive. I know, because some of my stories are boring and repetitive.  A brother-in-law story Recently though, Janet and I were at an extended family event that wasn't all that interesting to me, and as the afternoon wore on I was itching to go home. Janet, however, was thoroughly enjoying herself and didn't want to leave.   At one point the subject of military service was mentioned, which prompted me to ask my brother-in-law Rich, “Were you ever in the service?” “Yes,” he said, but nothing more.  I then asked, “What was your your role, your job?” “Paratrooper,” Rich said.  That one word answer changed my mood entirely. I've known Rich for many years, but never knew he was paratrooper. This prompted me to ask more more questions about his military service that I found really interesting. Especially about the mechanics of jumping out of airplanes with a parachute on your back. I was so glad I coaxed my brother-in-law into sharing his story instead of telling parts of my own. It made for a far more interesting afternoon. Being stingy with your story doesn't mean remaining silent about it One final thought on this whole matter: Being stingy with your story doesn't mean remaining silent about it.  It's more about waiting your turn. It's about going last, not first. Good listeners do that, you know.  So what about YOU?  I wonder. Is it possible you may be too generous in sharing your story in ways that keeps someone from sharing there's? I also wonder if  being stingy with your story isn't a problem for you, how are you handling the results of letting others fill the air waves with the sound of their voice. What goes on inside you when you can't get a word in edgewise because other people are dominating the conversation and sucking the air time available for anyone else to talk.  I've got some thoughts on this that I'll share at another time, but I do wonder how  others deal with this relational dynamic Because someone listened… One of our listeners wrote in to tell what happened to her because someone listened. She tells the story of two friends who walked beside her through the death and grief of her 40-something daughter who died of cancer.  “I can't count the number of times I drove out of their driveway with warm refreshing healing teardrops flowing down my cheeks. Over the years — but especially these past 18 months on the hardest journey I never would have signed up for — they welcomed me with open arms, listened to my ongoing expressions of grief and struggle, fed me with an abundance of Papa God's love and delicious food, and brought the beauty of laughter into the hard. Their listening love has been a gift of GRACE wrapped in a ribbon of GOLD.” I bet you have stories of what happened to you because someone listened. We'd like to hear them. Matthew hails from New York, and Pearl from Mexico. Yet Papa supernaturally brought the two of them together in Texas in order to bring them together for life in the UK, where they now reside with their 4 children, balancing God, family, life, work, and ministry.Matthew and Pearl were separately, yet simultaneously radically saved in a Damascus road experience in a little church in Horsham, UK. Papa came and met with them in an amazing supernatural way, rescuing Pearl from a lifestyle as a new age ‘witch', and Matthew from the intellectual atheism that is so rampant in the world as a form of self-centred religion.During their first 10 years of traditional church, they quickly grew and rose up to lead various ministries at local church level, including helping to form a monthly spontaneous, prophetic worship event called The Cession. The Cession members and attendees spanned multiple churches across Horsham and West Sussex and accrued a strong following of people who sought more of Papa at any cost. The event encouraged prophetic art and dance, harp and bowl method of worship and intercession (as pioneered by Mike Bickle's International House of Prayer Kansas City (IHOP)), and the prophetic in general: from prophesying specifics one on one or in fire tunnels, to speaking Papa's heart for the moment into the worship.AdvertisementsREPORT THIS ADAs the Cession continued to gather momentum and honour Papa, Jesus, Holy Spirit, and especially after a one-off event sponsored by Spirit, Body, Soul with Emerge Wales called Wildfire Horsham, most of the members of the Cession band began to encounter the glory realm more and more at the events and in their everyday lives. The glory began to come regularly to the Cession events, and then began to show up at Matthew and Pearl's house meetings on Friday night, which they called Glory School, after Patricia King's teachings. There were times when tangible clouds formed in the room. Other times where the room would be filled with a sweet heavenly fragrance. Times when they would all feel the presence of angels. And always, the group would pray and prophesy over everyone attending, releasing God's supernatural power, with miracles following.Though Papa allowed the Cession to end, as Glory School continued to meet, there was a further increased time of acceleration into the things of the glory and mystic realm. Shortly after, Matthew and Pearl were invited to lead worship at the Ian Clayton Deeper event hosted by Company of Burning Hearts in Wales. At and after this event, Papa began to speak to Matthew and Pearl about being sold-out lovers of God and about them fathering nations, starting first in their local area. Papa asked them to lay down their current leadership positions in their local church to follow His vision for their lives. The two of them said Yes, unequivocally. And the ministry has grown and blossomed since.AdvertisementsREPORT THIS ADThe Glory Company is all about the Father's Business. It has always been a part of the ministry's mission to see people saved, healed, and delivered, using any tools at their disposal, such as, prophecy, laying on of hands, worship, the Bethel Sozo prayer tools, or however the Father leads during a session. After nearly 10 years of hosting Friday night Glory School church, hosting Glory Party worship events and annual Tomorrow People conferences, and speaking at or performing worship at other ministry's events, Papa God asked Glory Company to go on a season of sabbatical.During this sabbatical time, Matthew and Pearl have had a time to regroup with Papa God, write, record and mix new worship albums, mentor people and groups and conferences both in person and online. Glory Company has been given a new lease on life, returning to the humble roots of honouring God and inviting the intoxicating, joyful glory atmosphere of heaven, which opens up the mystic realm to people and encourages them to simply enjoy God for who He is. Both Matthew and Pearl have written books during this time, which they hope to publish and release soon.Glory Company's vision is to see people released and freed from the trappings of religion and into the freedom of a life with Christ. We encourage people to live in constant awareness of His presence, and to remain in perpetual conversation with the members of the Trinity; to stop accepting the mundane as their portion and to embrace a supernatural lifestyle instead; and to realise that the mystic realm is open to them all the time and that by simple faith they can enter into this realm, and in this place of rest, discover their true identities in Christ. We want people to experience God in all His glory all the days of their lives. We are born for glory. Jesus died to restore us to glory. We are made to carry the glory.

Bralynn & Nina continue the conversation on utilizing the resources of heaven in your business. TOPICS:- Functioning in your mountain and engaging with the Seven Spirits- The Seven Spirits are each a different facet of Yahweh- How to engage with the Seven Spirits to grow your business- Knowing Papa God's heart for us- Being a minister unto Papa as a king- Unblocking things that prevent you from moving forward- Know the governors that are assigned to you- Where you meet your governors- We have angels assigned to our scrolls GOLD NUGGETS:The heavenly realms are waiting for you to engage with them heart-to-heart for understanding, wisdom, and knowledge. Then you can understand who you are in the kingdom and how to engage in the holiness of the heavenly realm. The Seven Spirits want you to know them as beings who desire a personal, intimate relationship with you. You can engage the Seven Spirits and get to know them in the garden of your heart, in your mountain, as you step into the heart of Papa God, as well as other places.Wisdom, knowledge and understanding come together like a threefold cord that is very powerful. You may discern which one you are to engage with at any time. Papa's intention for us in this realm is for us to be focused in the heavenly realms by the energy of who we are so we may draw all men through us unto Him. This is a true witness unto Papa as a governor and a king. You can unblock various things that prevent you from moving forward. You can do this in the Mobile court when generational issues are blocking you. You may need to deal with your ability to discern being blocked because of the words you have spoken. There may be relational correction with the Trinity, and distrust that will block your ability to engage. This has to do with distrust and lack of faith, which are examples of things that may block you from moving forward. It's good to program your mind with heavenly realms of teachings, then go into listening to soaking music that can help you move into complete silence. It quietens our minds away from frequencies, vibrations, and sounds that are constantly bombarding us all. Understanding that all three of the Trinity and all of the governors have their distinction, function, presence, and personalities are important. This helps you to know who you are speaking and engaging with. You learn to recognize their individual frequencies, vibrations, and sound.QUOTES:- Heavenly realms are there for us to develop relational connections.- Engaging with the 7 Spirits needs to be our new normal. - The normal and the Heavenly realms that are in you are fused into one. - Be determined to remove all blockage.- Be cool with the journey, your victory will come.- You are designed to walk in pure holiness.- Governors will help you in your scroll.- The Spirit of Wisdom of Realms is different from the Spirit of Wisdom. She has worked at the Office of Public Defender, as a solo practitioner, and as a university professor.Nina's involvement in her community includes many hours of work with students through various mentoring programs. She has sat on many boards throughout the community, and served on the school board before she ran for the FL State Senate in 2010 and U.S. House District 10 seat in 2012. She enjoys encouraging others to develop a deeper walk with Yahweh. TOPICS:- Connecting to the heart of the Trinity- From religion to an intimate relationship with God- Seeking the wisdom of God as an Attorney- Challenges and your spiritual walk- Finding Papa God's intention for your life- Planning with the Trinity- When God trusts you- Connecting with the Courts of Heaven- Understanding your mountain- Glorifying Papa God and Him then glorifying us GOLD NUGGETS:1) Everything we do is an outpouring of the love of Papa God. Then we can focus on engaging with his heart so we can have understanding about what is on our scroll for us to do during this time and in this age. 2) I had to hear from Papa God about the kids I was working with because he was setting them up for a path that would lead them to a heart encounter with him, and it would change their path and their lives. 3) You need to know who the Trinity is in order to know who you are. Then you can walk in perfection and complete dependence upon them as you walk out your scroll and fulfill it. 4) Statutes, precepts, and laws in the natural realm are a shadow of the legal principles in the supernatural realm.5) When God trusts you, he knows that when you step out, all you do will be within the confines of his heart. In this place you will feel a shift happen in what you come into contact with, and with what comes in contact with you. You're operating at the higher vibrational frequency level of love in the heart of the Trinity. 6) Before you can govern anything else, you must first learn to govern yourself. You don't have to be operating in perfection to do this but you need to be in the process of self governance.7) Self-governing is building your mountain, which is spiritual real estate that has substance in the spiritual realm. When we understand who we are as a mountain we can begin to govern over other mountains Papa God gives to us. 8) Your mountain is a place where you can engage with the Trinity, Seven Spirits, governors, etc. You literally build out the spiritual places within your mountain. QUOTES:- Sometimes I can't discern things in my natural mind, I need spiritual discernment.- Planning things in your life is good when you're dependent on the Trinity.- To broaden your government, be someone Papa can trust.- I was taught about the various courts by the Seven Spirits.- You are a mountain, that is spiritual real estate. - The Spiritual realm is more real because it lasts forever.- Your personal mountain flows to your business mountain.- The more mountains you have, the more sphere of influence you will have. For so long I have fought time. You know like begged and kicked and screamed for God to change my season I was in. Asked God to change my time, breakthrough and provide a miracle. But what if we stopped begging and kicking and screaming and just enjoyed where we are at today? Whatever season you are in. I read a book called the Abnomally mindset and it really changed my outlook on everything I was believing and contending for. Faith is risky, and to be honest. I really didn't want to risk again to be greater yet again with disappointment and hurt. But that's not from God. Disappointment and hurt isn't from Him. It took me a while to see it. And even if my circumstances say this isn't possible and you might as well give up. I choose to believe God is fighting my battles for me. He is breaking through for me, He is going to do what he says. Because that's who He is and that's what His character does. In this season, I feel like I have learned so many hard hard lessons, and in pathing my way in uncharted waters, but there is so much grace, and love, and compassion. Papa God is for me, and is fighting my battles and I believe He is fighting yours too. --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/lettie7/message

The Spirit of Prophecy, by Pastor Michele Garcia (6/7/20)

Pastor Michele's sermon about the spirit of prophecy defines the basics of what prophecy is to God and to man. It takes a look into the book of the prophet, Zephaniah, and what that meant for the nation of Israel, as well as, what it means now for us, today. A prophet is God's human instrument used by Him to deliver His messages to mankind. The heart of every prophet's message is to point to Jesus. Revelation 19:10 states “For the testimony of Jesus is the Spirit of Prophecy.” All prophecy is according to God's timing. Throughout the history of Israel, prophets have been key in delivering God's Word to His people to urge them to remain faithful to Him and to remind them of what may happen if they do not. The Old Testament if filled with prophetic words and warnings for the Israelites to honor God above all else. Even during the division of the nation of Israel, into the Northern Kingdom of Israel/Ephraim and the Southern Kingdom of Judah, God sent His prophets to be His mouthpiece to both. From notes taken from the book, A Popular Survey of the Old Testament, by Norman Geisler, the three chapter book of Zephaniah, has a theme centered around the vindication of God. Zephaniah's prophetic declarations to Judah would prove that the coming judgment on them and the surrounding Gentile nations would be correct. There are three main messages in Zephaniah: retribution, repentance and redemption, which were critical for the people of Judah to hear. These same messages also apply to us presently. Retribution means payback. Chapter 1 of Zephaniah describes the judgment God will bring on Judah and other Gentile nations, for pursuing other gods. For Judah, it means an impending captivity. God is the only One who is able to judge the nations, in the past, present and future. He is the only judge over the hearts and souls of men. It is not our place to bring retribution to this world. Our place is to pursue the higher way of love, forgiveness and intentional acts compassion towards each other. Repentance means to go in the opposite way; turning from our way to God's way. The second chapter of Zephaniah is a call to repentance. In verses 1-3 he implores Judah to “seek the Lord.” This applies to us right now. Because of Jesus, we have access to Papa God and repentance can always be right now. We don't have to wait for time and a perfect sacrifice. Redemption means to buy or win back. Chapter 3 of Zephaniah, reveals how God will fight for Judah and how the tongues of other nations will be silenced. Zephaniah 3:17 NIV states “The Lord Your God is with you, the Mighty Warrior who saves. He will take great delight in you; in His love He will no longer rebuke you, but will rejoice over you with singing.” This is Papa God's heart for Judah and for us today! We are all worth being fought for! We are all worthy of being redeemed!

Sometimes it is difficult to discern where we are at and where we are going in life. It's at times like these that is is often helpful to look back a the faithfulness of God. Dwelling upon His protection and provision, all of the things which make up the testimony of His faithfulness can light the way. Psalm 100:4-5 tell us that we "Enter His gates with thanksgiving And His courts with praise. Give thanks to Him, bless His name. For the LORD is good; His lovingkindness is everlasting And His faithfulness to all generations." The key to wisdom, discernment and lighting our way begins with getting into His presence, and testimonies of thanksgiving do just that. The word testimony literally means that God will do it again. Tune in to hear testimonies of His faithfulness and grab a hold of them, because the testimonies you hear are the very things which Papa God desires to do in your life as well!

"And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony..." - Rev. 12:11 A testimony is not only a story of God's glory, it is also a prophecy of how good He is and what He will continue to do. As we end 2019, we reflect on the testimonies of what Papa God has done in, through and around us. We also push into an expectancy of what God is going to continue to do. In this sermon, you will hear several testimonies of dreams coming true in 2019. Pastor Aaron also interviews Pastor Greg as they reflect on 21 years of Upper Room.

Coffee Talk Topic: Relationship Over Religion This episode explores the differences between having religion and a having a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Host Brandee Nielsen says "this is a critical subject in our world today, where religion is used by some as an excuse to do unspeakable, ungodly things to other people who are not like them. Some of it's mistunderstaning, and some of it's intentional. Regardless of the reason, the result poisons the minds of people who don't know Christ. It turns them away from the possibility of accepting Jesus as their Savior, because of their misunderstanding about religion. I pray that God will move swiftly to renew the minds of those caught up in this misunderstanding. So they too will come to know the truth about relationship with God the Father through Jesus Christ. It's not attained through religion." Featured Guest: Ashley Schroeder Ashley Schroder is an inspirational speaker, and author of the book, Papa God and Ashley, It's a Relationship. She joins our coffee talk to share a mountain of nuggets about her personal relationship with Christ.
