More investors are turning to TikTok, YouTube, and other social-media platforms for financial advice. But how do you separate useful financial education from bad advice, speculation, and outright scams? Lance Roberts and Jonathan Penn discuss how to evaluate financial advice online, the warning signs investors should watch for, and why popularity, followers, and flashy lifestyles aren't substitutes for expertise. Social media can help people become better investors—but only if they know whom to trust. 0:00 INTRO 0:57 - FOMC Meeting Minutes Preview & Weaker Economic Data 3:26 - Will Earnings Tailwinds Fade in 2207? 5:12 - Market Deviations Continue - Downside Risk Remains 10:15 - Bond Yields & Abnormal Interest Rates (article coming) 16:45 - Why the National Debt is not a Factor in Interest Rates 19:42 - Momentum ETF's & Roth IRA's 27:47 - Shorting Strategies post-IPO? 30:10 - First Houses & Starter Homes 33:27 - Things Aren't That Bad... 37:37 - Buying Bonds and paying accrued interest 38:18 - Putting Money in 401-k 38:40 - Buying Energy Stocks Now? This is Jamie Belz. For this episode, I wanted to personally tell you what it is about and why this conversation matters to me. Last week, my sister and I took five kids on a road trip through South Dakota, Wyoming, Montana, and North Dakota. We were gone for a full week, but we only ate at restaurants twice. We had to buy some things along the way - feeding seven people for a week takes a lot of food - but the majority of our food was pre-made, froze, and packed in the coolers from home. Each morning while one of us made breakfast, the other packed lunches to eat on mountaintops and snacks for extra calories for those powerful little kiddos on the way up and back. We hiked Black Elk Peak, formerly known as Harney Peak, the Little Devils Tower Trail, and several others. We were constantly moving, exploring, climbing, and experiencing some of the most beautiful places in the country. We were extremely active and ate well, but we really did not eat very much. We were always on the go. We did not have constant access to food as I do during my typical days. We ate when we needed to eat, enjoyed what we brought, and continued with the adventure. Given the measured portions we had, it wasn't possible to overeat. Had there been more available, I definitely would have eaten more. That's a habit I've developed. (I'm especially guilty of being the family garbage disposal because I never want to waste our nutrient-dense foods. Ugh.) After eating "less than normal" [and never late at night] for the full week - I came home feeling incredible. Yes, the hiking, fresh air, sunshine, movement, and time outside absolutely mattered - of course - but it is undeniable that nearly every day, I am eating more food than my body needs. At home, I can eat because it is convenient, because something sounds good, because I am bored, or simply because the food is there. On this trip, I was busy living. Food nourished the experience, but it was not the experience. That realization brought me back to a word that is fascinating to me: gluttony. I know. People don't like it. "Gluttony" can feel judgmental, shameful, and even offensive. But what does the word actually mean? And could avoiding this topic be preventing us from having one of the most important conversations about our health? This episode is not about guilt, shame, body size, starvation, or obsessive restriction. It is an honest and compassionate conversation about excess, food noise, overeating, and the culture of constant consumption we have accepted as normal. Compassion and honesty are not enemies. Thank you for being here. Alla nostra salute! -Jamie In this episode: • What gluttony actually means • Why overeating is not simply a failure of discipline • How ultra-processed foods encourage overconsumption • The connection between food noise, compulsive eating, and GLP-1 medications • How eating too much contributes to metabolic dysfunction • Why nutrient-dense food quality and appropriate quantity both matter • Physical hunger, emotional hunger, and habitual eating • Changing your eating rhythm and environment • Replacing compulsive eating with healthier habits • Why you cannot hate your body into health • When to seek professional help _______________________________________________________ Want more? The "Good Guy" act was the very thing making me a monster. In this episode, Jay and Lori discuss the "reckoning" that happens when an addict finally stops managing their image. For years, Jay tried to convince himself and everyone else that he was just a "guy who liked porn", but the reality was much darker. We discuss: The "Monster" Paradox: How the effort to not look like a monster is actually what makes you one. Physical Destruction: The moment Jay realized his stress was causing Lori's body to shut down—leading to early menopause and her hair turning white. The Permanent Limp: Why time does not heal all wounds, and why some parts of a marriage may never reach "100% repair." No More Escape Routes: The "preponderance of evidence" that finally forced Jay to own the depth of the damage. "I would much rather be misunderstood and have a tomorrow, than do all the crap I was doing at that point." Timestamps 00:00 The Monster I Became Trying to Hide? 01:13 Did You Understand the Damage? He fiddled while Rome burned. He married two men. He may even have kicked his pregnant wife to death. But he ALSO invented animal pelt kink, so could he have been THAT BAD?!This week, Bash is joined by classicist and queer historian, Professor Andrew Lear, to discuss the scandalous, salacious, and slanderous life of Emperor Nero — Ancient Rome's most notorious bisexual bad boy. From castrating (and marrying) his wife's male doppelgänger to "mauling" strangers' crotches in animal pelts, the stories about Nero are a masterclass in ancient PR. But why did so many historians vilify Nero in this intensely OTT way?Join us as we explore the answer to this question and many more, such as:How did Nero's mother orchestrate his rise to power – and DID he murder her via collapsible boat?Did Nero really get gay married? Twice?!What did Roman “homosexuality” actually look like at the time — and why was being a bottom “not the Roman thing to do” (IYKYK)?Along the way, we'll learn why the real scandal for the raunchy Romans wasn't so much Nero's queer behaviour, but his dangerous subversion of class and gender hierarchy.Plus: Justice For Roman Bottoms (my new charity), ancient pegging theories, and a verdict on the real question on everyone's lips for the past two thousand years:Was Nero a monster… or the "Elvis Presley Emperor" of the 1st century AD?

We're breaking down two of the vilest executive orders Trump signed on his first day in office. First up, he's attacking trans people every way he can, and the crueler, the better. How does this interact with the Supreme Court's holding in Bostock? And Trump ignored 125 years of precedent to declare birthright citizenship illegal. One federal judge has already said NFW. Welcome to the first episode of It's That Bad, where Connor and Gabe look at the irredeemable franchise-crossover cashgrab Alien vs. Predator: Requiem. While fans were unimpressed with Paul W.S. Anderson's first AvP flick, they were even more disgusted with this follow-up that turns two of cinema's most iconic intergalactic Titans of Terror into generic and barely visible creepy crawlers. So join Gabe and Connor as they talk the Alien and Predator franchises, the state of lighting in Hollywood productions, and what makes AvP Requiem so offensive.

The critics laughed, the producers cried, but the actors KICKED BUTT!!!! 3 Ninjas High Noon at Mega Mountain was the fourth and final installment in the 3 Ninjas Empire. Built with an incredible cast, hilarious slap stick moments, and total balls to the walls foot to the face action. These kids kick soooo much ass it will make your guts hurt from MORE than just laughing. Hollywood's Deep State was at it again with this film. Releasing Hulk Hogans sex tape and racial slur just a week before this movies release. Theaters pulled it and it was only shown sparingly throughout the US. Was this movie THAT BAD or was it a devious plot to destroy racist ass Hulk Hogan in HIS PRIME! The answer is sadly clear! Join the cinephiles this week to talk why this movie is one of the greatest movies of all time and why we need to stand up against the Hollywood elites!

Jesus is OFFENSIVE. He has to be. The sin He came to erase is nasty. The holiness He is bringing us to is vast. The path to get there is one of suffering, blood, curse, and death. From our view, there is much NOT to like about this whole process:that my sin is THAT BAD. That I cannot save myself. Not by works, actions, efforts or trying. That I did not make the rulesThat Sacrifice is required; a life even. an innocent life no less. Animals for a long time, and now Jesus. A human/God sacrificethat there is no other way. no plan B. Nothing more palatable. No nice, bloodless path.that it all comes down to a cross. the worst punishment. suffering. blood. death. so bad that people averted their eyes. That my sin requires this. This ladies and gentlemen, is the OFFENSE OF THE CROSSFor those new to the faith, hold on. What is so offensive here is the dear embrace of a God who cares so much to help you in a way you cannot help yourself. This is God at His best.
