    On this episode of the Dental Up Podcast, we recorded onsite at the 2022 AGD Show in Orlando Florida live with Dr. Eric Wong, MAGD! Dr. Wong is a graduate of University of the Pacific, Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry and was in private practice in Sacramento, CA for 20 years.  He is currently a supervising dentist at CSP Solano, where he has worked for 11 years after retiring from private practice.  He is currently the Division Coordinator over Continuing Education and has served on the PACE Council for 6 years, 3 years as the Chairperson. Dr. Wong is also a subject matter expert for DANB's exam committee. He has served on the California Dental Board as an Expert Examiner, for Dental Licensure, RDAEF-licensure, and RDA licensure.  He provided training for Dental Board staff, as a Dental Consultant.  Dr. Wong has served in the Enforcement division providing Dental Expert testimony and report writing.  Dr. Wong is Past President of the California AGD as well as Sacramento-Sierra AGD.     On this episode of the Dental Up Podcast, we recorded onsite at the 2022 AGD Show in Orlando Florida live with Dr. Merlin P. Ohmer, MAGD! Dr. Ohmer, a native of Thibodaux, LA, graduated from Nicholls State University in 1975 with a bachelor of science degree in chemistry. He then earned a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 1979 from Louisiana State University School of Dentistry. After graduation, he spent three years on active duty in the United States Army. After his release from active duty, he practiced in Baton Rouge, LA, and was a member of the Louisiana and Florida National Guard until 1989 when he returned to active duty in the United States Navy Dental Corps as a Lieutenant Commander. He completed a one-year fellowship in oral surgery in 1984 at Naval Dental Center Great Lakes, IL. Dr. Ohmer served his country in the Navy in many assignments worldwide until his military retirement in 2016 as a Captain. Dr. Ohmer owned Dental Doctors of Florida for 6 years until merging his practice with Harbour Dental Care in March of 2022. In his spare time, Dr. Ohmer enjoys spending his free time outdoors; at the beach, hiking, and playing tennis. He attended Marshall University in Huntington, West Virginia as an undergraduate, concentrating on pre-medical studies. He received his Doctorate of Dental Medicine from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey in 1994. After graduation, Dr. Bongarzone continued his dental education at Overlook Hospital in Summit, New Jersey, serving as a General Practice Resident. Dr. Bongarzone has four children; Marco Jr., Luca, and twins Ryan and Renee. While away from the office, he enjoys spending time with family and friends, cooking, fishing and traveling. Dr. Marco Bongarzone Jr. is currently studying at Temple University Kornberg School of Dentistry, set to graduate this coming May, 2022. He just passed his boards, and lives in Cherry Hill, New Jersey with his fiancée, who is also a dentist.     Dr. Eric, the oldest of four children to Dr. Doug and Patti Veenstra, was born and raised in Wyckoff, New Jersey. He graduated Eastern Christian HS in 1999, Calvin College (Grand Rapids, Michigan) in 2003, and UMDNJ (currently Rutgers Dental School) in 2007. Following graduation from Dental School, Dr. Eric joined his father, Dr. Doug, in his practice in Midland Park, NJ that was originally established in 1981. They have loved working together and feel blessed to continually grow in their service to the community where they've been for over 35 years. Dr. Eric values providing the best treatment and the best experience for his patients. and that has led him to pursue hundreds of hours in advanced dental education. He specifically focused his education for several years to implant dentistry when he saw a need in his practice to give his patients the best treatment options available. He completed an externship from NYU Implant Continuum in 2010, an externship from the Misch International Implant Institute in 2012, and an AAID Maxicourse in Implant Studies from Rutgers University in 2015. Through these studies he realized his dream of practicing dentistry in the Wyoming Valley, which he pursued at the University of Pittsburgh dental school. In 1994, after being licensed by the state, Dr. Casey opened a solo Dental practice. In 2005, Dr. Casey expanded his Dental facility to a multi doctor practice and in 2009, he opened a special needs dentistry center dedicated to his aunt Mary Casey. Dr Casey is a member of the Pennsylvania Academy of General Dentistry, he is involved with local charities, church organizations, and public service groups. Dr. Rista received his undergraduate degree in Chemistry from the University of Scranton before pursuing his dental education at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. Since graduation, he has provided care to the community for the past 30 years. Dr. Rista practices a full scope of general dentistry with an emphasis on preventative, restorative, and cosmetic Dentistry. He regularly completes continuing education courses to expand his knowledge and is Invisalign® certified. He was voted Ocean Counties'Best Dentist' in 2003 and 2004 by the Asbury Park Press Readers' Choice Awards. In 2017 he was also voted a 'Top Dentist' by Monmouth Health and Life Magazine.
