I learned she's a brilliant curator and art historian of Mongolian art. I read about Mongolian culture and history, and because this was a new world for me, the absorptive process was astonishing. Then, our interview, and I was innervated, thrilled, and mesmerized by Dr Tsultem. The questions flowed. Then she showed several Mongolian art slides from her curated exhibits. The art blew me away. Dr Tsultem is fascinating. I think you'll find new worlds for you in this interview. In recent weeks, I've been thinking about a few standout episodes from the early days of the podcast. They are full of great information and I thought it would be a good idea to share them again for listeners who may have missed them the first time around. This episode dates back to October 2018. It features my conversation with Howard Storm about his profound Near Death Experience and his book titled 'My Descent into Death: and the Message of Love Which Brought Me Back'.For years Howard Storm lived the American dream. He had a fine home, a family, and a successful career as an Art Professor and painter. Then, without warning, he found himself in hospital in excruciating pain, awaiting an emergency operation. He realised with horror that his death was a real possibility, but as an atheist he was convinced that his demise would mark the end of consciousness.Storm was totally unprepared for what was to happen next. He found himself out of his body, staring at his own physical form. But this was no hallucination; he was fully aware and felt more alive than ever before. In his spirit form, Storm was drawn into fearsome realms of darkness and death, where he experienced the terrible consequences of a life of selfishness and materialism. However, his journey also took him into regions of light where he conversed with angelic beings and the Lord of Light Himself, who sent him back to live on earth with a message of love.My Descent into Death is Howard Storm's full story: from his near death experience in Paris to his full recovery back home in the States, and the subsequent transformation of his life. Storm also communicates what he learned in his conversations with heavenly spiritual beings, revealing how the world will be in the future, the real meaning of life, what happens when we die, the role of angels, and much more. What he has to say will challenge those who believe that human awareness ends with death.Howard Storm, an avowed atheist, was awaiting emergency surgery when he realized that he was at death's door. Storm found himself out of his own body, looking down on the hospital room scene below. Next, rather than going "toward the light," he found himself being torturously dragged to excruciating realms of darkness and death, where he was physically assaulted by monstrous beings of evil. His description of his pure terror and torture is unnerving in its utter originality and convincing detail. Finally, drawn away from death and transported to the realm of heaven, Storm met angelic beings as well as the God of Creation. In this fascinating account, Storm tells of his "life review," his conversation with God, even answers to age-old questions such as why the Holocaust was allowed to take place. Storm was sent back to his body with a new knowledge of the purpose of life here on earth. This book is his message of hope."This is a book you devour from cover to cover, and pass on to others. This is a book you will quote in your daily conversation. Storm was meant to write it and we were meant to read it."-From the foreward by Anne RiceAmazon link https://tinyurl.com/bdj2njjhhttp://howardstorm.com/https://www.pastliveshypnosis.co.uk/https://www.patreon.com/ourparanormalafterlifeBecome a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/our-paranormal-afterlife-finding-proof-of-life-after-death--5220623/support.

In some near-death experiences, people report they were drawn toward “the light.” But in this horrifying near-death experience for an atheist art professor, he was drawn into the darkness of hell, which dramatically altered the course of his life. “I was a double atheist,” says Howard Storm, who became a tenured art professor at Northern Kentucky University by age 27. “I was a know-it-all college professor, and universities are some of the most closed-minded places there are,” he notes. On the last day of a three-week European art tour he led, his group had returned to their hotel in Paris after a visit to the artist Delacroix's home and studio. As Howard stood in his room with his wife and another student, suddenly he screamed and dropped to the floor in agony. “I had a perforation of the small stomach, known as the duodenum,” he recalls. At first, Howard thought he was shot, and he glanced around the room to see if he could spot a smoking gun. As he writhed in pain on the ground, kicking and screaming, his wife called for a doctor. The post Episode 8 – Howard Storm – Atheist professor's near-death experience in hell left him changed first appeared on God Reports.
Interview with UNO Art Professor Tony Campbell The journey of being an artist can be highly introspective; a long process of evaluation and revaluation. The resulting pieces of art are a direct result of these internal value structures we create. This was evident during a recent visit to The Mint, home to the New Orleans Jazz museum and a small permanent installation about currency on the ground floor, our ultimate destination. Kimberly Callas is a a new media artist, sculptor, and the lead artist of the Social Practice project Discovering the Ecological Self. Her latest body of work was, and continues to be made, under a Monmouth University Fellowship where she is the Urban Coast Institute Artist-in-Residence. She became an art professor in 2016 at Monmouth, after a season of life that led her and her husband to move up to Maine, build an off the grid home, replant a clear cut forest, and more... all while beginning their family life. Her return to education was a natural fit since her and her husband spent much of their time up north as educators/lead by example sustainable ecology advocates. Kimberly also dedicated much of her time there to helping build and connect the artist community with the community surrounding through the Belfast Creative Coalition where she and other members hosted workshops and events that integrated all of her loves- nature, art, family, community, and making a go of it as an artist entreprenaur. In this new season of life, sharing time between Maine and the New Jersey Coastline, she has found a home as always in the studio, but now within the university setting, where all things technology, ecology, education, and humanity combine to help her thrive as a creative, make work that has consequences, and share all of that with her students. --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/thestolenhourspodcast/message

Deborah Frizzell is an artist turned curator turned Art Historian and Art Professor whose life has been dedicated to the Visual Arts. Her sculptures and time working as an artist were steeped with researching Art History to inform what she made. Her life as a curator led to the orchestration of shows and artists that remind that there were those who highlighted Black and female artists for the past 3+ decades, rather than just in the last couple of years. She worked directly with the likes of Barkley L. Hendricks, Nancy Spero, and so many more. Her work as an Art Professor invited students directly into the art world to give them an intensive education of the art history that they were becoming part of alongside a hands on practical experience where she invited students directly into working artists' studios, foundations, and galleries. She continues to write for "Cultural Politics," a Duke University Press publication in her retired life and overall can't help but still advocate for and participate in the art world. --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/thestolenhourspodcast/message

He began his career with receiving the Gold Prize at the Student Academy Awards and several other festival awards for his film S.P.I.C- The Storyboard of my Life. He describes how his Mom used glue to fix the haircut his brother gave himself right before a family wedding, how he dealt with racism as a Latino growing up in Boston during the 80s, how he jokingly asked Stan Lee for a job at a comic book signing, how he helped a kid threatening others with a knife to laugh, and more. Robert also discusses how he balances his freelance storyboard work, his new job as an art professor, and everything else. Unbelievably, Glenn started his painting career as an abstract expressionist painter, a vast departure from the atmospheric landscapes he's now known for today. From being on an aircraft carrier during Vietnam to living on the reservation at Chinle and painting Canyon de Chelly, Glenn covers a lot of ground in a very insightful and fascinating episode of the Art Dealer Diaries.

Illustrating comic books, novels, and painting which Michael refers to as "couch paintings". How do you want the public to see this art? "I love the process of Discovery." Glenn Wharton, Clinical Associate Professor of Museum Studies at New York University sat with Mark and Patrick to talk about art, new media, community, and conservation. "How do you want the public to see this art?" Is one of the primary questions Glenn would ask artists during an interview process when he's documenting the art, how it's to be displayed or portrayed. This discussion and the resulting threads that cover Glenn's career in art conservation are fascinating for sure. This wide-ranging conversation covered a lot of ground including: • The definition of a 'clinical associate professor.' • Glenn's a UCBS Gaucho! • How and when he fell in love with the conservation of art (Mt Calvary monk in Santa Barbara) • Volunteering at the Getty • Replication vs. Restoration • A sidebar conversation about his work on the King Kamehameha statue in Hawaii and how that work spurred a complete change in how he approached art and his career • Art values vs. Community values - intersection • What is Community-based Art and why is it so fascinating • What is Participatory Art • Note: Patrick, remember, is an Art Professor and this was a conversation that could have gone on for several hours. He threatened to mute my mike so they could chat ;-) • His work at MOMA and the field of time-based media • Mark brought up the discussion of the preservation of Digital Art (think Wavefront and animation). Glenn was the first Time-Based Conservator in the United States. This was before it was even a field of study. He currently is one of the top experts in the world. • An in-depth talk about the interaction between the museum and the artist with several amusing anecdotes (wait until you hear the one about Tino Sehgal) • The Variable Media Initiative While we enjoy every conversation, there are times when a true pioneer joins us in the studio. Glenn is one, and we sincerely appreciate the time he spent with us. We had a bit of a post-interview conversation about the role of 805conversations, we speak mostly about business, and in this instance felt that are focused entirely on cultural issues was importnat. We hope you agree.
