January 28, 1981. Bossier Parish, Louisiana. The decomposed body of a young woman is discovered in the woods next to a remote logging road. The victim has been stabbed nine times, but since she cannot be identified, she becomes known as “Bossier Doe”. 34 years later, Bossier Doe is finally identified as 17-year old Carol Ann Cole, a Michigan resident who had run away from Texas a few months before she was killed. Suspicion turns towards John Chesson, the man who reported the discovery of Carol Ann's body to the police, as his daughter was certain that Carol Ann had stayed at their family's residence prior to her death and Chesson would go to prison for murdering another person several years later. Did John Chesson kill Carol Ann Cole or was someone else responsible? On this week's episode of “The Trail Went Cold”, we explore another tragic story about a Jane Doe who remained unidentified for three decades, but her murder is still unsolved. If you have any information about this case, please contact the Bossier Parrish Sheriff's Office at (318) 965-2203. People kept emphasizing the importance of finding a niche during my first year, claiming that the real wealth lies within specialized markets. At first, I nodded in agreement, acknowledging the significance. However, I soon realized the necessity of defining my target audience and understanding my core clientele. It became apparent that having a well-defined niche, one that sets me apart and is not being pursued by others would greatly contribute to my success. --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/the-inventive-journey/message

George Jung, the drug smuggler immortalized by Johnny Depp in “Blow,” left Weymouth for California in the late '60s with pennies in his pocket, two cases of Budweiser in the backseat and his best pal riding shotgun. Forty years – and four prison stints later – Jung returned to visit his boyhood home at 30 Abigail Adams Circle. He was unsure if neighbors would throw rocks or tell him to “politely leave town.” Jung's homecoming can be seen in the documentary “Boston George,” which charts his improbable journey from Patriot Ledger newsboy to Weymouth High football star to cocaine trafficker for Pablo Escobar's Medellin Cartel. Subtitled “Famous Without the Fortune,” the documentary's first two episodes premiere Friday, July 22, on Fandor, with one episode per week each successive Friday. In addition, Cinedigm will make each episode available on TVOD the day after it premieres and it's the story of Boston George (George Jung; who passed away May 5, 2021) was portrayed by Johnny Depp in the 2001 hit feature film Blow and appeared on The New York Times bestseller list in Bruce Porter's Blow: How a Small Town Boy Made $100 Million With the Medellín Cocaine Cartel and Lost It All. Hitting the peak of his drug smuggling career in the 1970s and ‘80s, Jung was an associate of the Medellín Cartel and one of the world's most notorious and wealthiest criminal leaders, Pablo Escobar. The old saying that truth is stranger then fiction couldn't be more apt her as we get the chance to talk with the producers of the series; Georgette Angelos and Jordan Chesson about how they got the ball rolling on this series and so very much more when it came to keep a real life outlaw in line....

For many aspiring writers, the idea of publishing a book can be so romantic. Simply write a book and readers will magically fall in love with it, you get paid an obscene amount of money, and you instantly become famous! The hard truth is that it's simply not true. That kind of thing only happens in the movies. However, the good news is that in today's ripe market, you can become a full time author by adopting to the way the market works. There are some misconceptions about the publishing world that many writers believe, including that only a traditional publishing contract is the only way to success (we bust that myth). One person who does know how the industry works is Dave Chesson, founder of Kindlepreneur and Publisher Rocket software. Listen to what Dave has to say in our interview and be inspired to spread your message by becoming a best selling author. SHOW NOTES:  http://bit.ly/MimikaTV50
