Starting off this episode with another PS1 English translation patch, this one being released for the game Addie no Okurimono. Game Boy Advance lovers can rejoice knowing they can replicate some original PCBs thanks to the original boards being reverse engineered and released for free on GitHub! The PS5 gets some big updates, one being for bd-jb now updated to work up to firmware 7.61 for disc based consoles. We also have a big proof of concept teased showing PS5 game backups running for the first time on a modified PS5! We highlight an interesting addition to Insignia Live, with that being the Xbox Video Chat application being revived. Even better, if you can't get an original Xbox webcam, would you believe that with a couple modifications you can use a PS2 EyeToy camera on the Xbox? If that's not enough off the wall modifications to add into this episode, we also check out a prototype proof of concept of what could have been if Metal Gear Solid 2 released on the Dreamcast.

Con este capítulo vamos a comenzar una nueva andadura que os explicaremos en el siguiente programa que esperamos que no os lo perdáis. En esta sección hablaremos de temas de actualidad relacionados con la tecnología y hasta aquí podemos leer.Y como siempre, tenéis a vuestra disposición un formulario de contacto para cualquier duda, sugerencia e incluso algún insulto leve, sin faltar el respeto. Hacer uso de él, es gratis :).Dicho todo esto comencemos con el primer tema, el anonimato en Internet que por cierto, no existe.. Todas las búsquedas en Google son almacenadas y categorizadas. Además se almacena información en nuestros ordenadores en forma de pequeños archivos de texto denominados cookies y que sirven para que las diferentes páginas que visitamos tengan información acerca de nuestras preferencias, hábitos, idioma y un largo etcétera. En la actualidad y debido la ley de cookies, las páginas web que las almacenan en nuestro ordenador han de notificarlo. Evidentemente y como era de esperar los organismos gubernamentales y los partidos políticos quedan exentos de la obligación.La información hoy en día se considera oro. Términos de moda como Big Data (grandes archivos de datos) o Data mining (minería de datos) permiten que las empresas recaben información muy valiosa acerca de los potenciales hábitos de consumo. Para evitar compartir esta información se pueden utilizar complementos como el Ghostery para los navegadores. En cualquier caso se ha de tener en cuenta que inhabilitar las cookies en nuestros navegadores tiene consecuencias como por ejemplo que no puedas utilizar los servicios de Google.Un ejemplo sobre el control que ejercen sobre nosotros es el servicio de Google Device Manager. Este servicio permite geolocalizar los dispositivos vinculados a nuestra cuenta de Google e incluso podemos hacer sonar, bloquear y borrar nuestro dispositivo. Este servicio es muy interesante en caso de robo o extravío.El siguiente tema que vamos a tratar son las llamadas por Whatsapp a través de la telefonía IP. Aunque se ha anunciado a bombo y platillo este tipo de servicios llevaban ya años siendo ofrecidos por otras aplicaciones como Viber, Skype, Hangouts, Tango, etc. Como siempre han corrido bulos acerca del envío masivo de mensajes para la activación del mismo cuando el proceso de activación se produce al recibir una llamada de voz desde Whatsapp por parte de alguien que lo tuviese previamente activado.Algo parecido ocurrió con el dispositivo Kinect que Microsoft implementó en su consola XBox. Dicho dispositivo se anunció incluso en televisión como algo nuevo y revolucionario, cuando Sony ya lo había implementado años antes en su consola PS2 bajo el nombre de Eyetoy y había pasado desapercibido. Como dato curioso cabe destacar que Whatsapp es porcentualmente menor utilizado en EEUU que en Europa. Parte de su éxito radica en que se utiliza como usuario el número de teléfono, de manera que ya no hay que memorizar montones de alias para estar en contacto.
