You may not know this, but there's a little girl inside you who needs to be cared for and nurtured, the same way you care for your child. This beautiful concept caught Meredith's attention when she visited relationship coach and therapist, Brittany Rose Green's Instagram page. It tugged at Meredith's heart until she changed the topic of this interview. This message needs to be shared.Brittany will help you see the little girl inside you. She'll inspire you to give her a voice, honor her, take good care of her, and tend to her wounds. She warns, "Otherwise, you'll impose these wounds onto your children. It's unavoidable."Discover what it takes to love with all your heart and live in the moment. Learn how to avoid being triggered and thrown out of commission on a daily basis. Feeling stuck in life, disconnected from your emotions, and unable to access your inner child are all symptoms of the toxic conditioning from society that traps us up against a plexiglass wall. In this episode of Life After Corporate, join host Deb Boulanger and guest Liz Svatek as they shatter the barriers of societal norms and invite us to embrace our playful, vulnerable side. Through their personal journey of overcoming trauma and connecting with their inner self, the thoughtful discussion touched on various aspects of self improvement - from identifying limiting beliefs to trusting our intuitive voice - and emphasized the power of laughter and vulnerability in the process. Liz Svatek's approach to personal growth and healing provides a refreshing take on an often-misunderstood issue, and the episode serves as a great resource for anyone looking to connect with their inner child and experience true emotional freedom. [0:30:-13:30] What is a Warrior Woman? Warrior women are those who embrace their feelings and live authentically Moving beyond the motions of daily life can lead to a deeper understanding of oneself and the world Connecting to one's heart and emotions is important for living a fulfilling life Limitless possibilities are available when one is open to learning and growth [13:31 -26:02] Getting in Touch with Your Little Girl Hitting the plexiglass wall is a normal experience, and awareness is the first step to overcoming it Ignoring the little girl within oneself can lead to emotional neglect and detachment.. Addressing basic needs and reconnecting with the inner child is crucial to overcoming the plexiglass wall. Healing is a journey, and getting in touch with the little girl is a process that takes time. [26:03 - 29:33] The Power of Letting Your Inner Child Lead The authentic, expressive, and playful qualities of a little girl attract people to us. Adults often forget how to let themselves be vulnerable and seen. Fear of public speaking can hold some individuals back from pursuing opportunities. Tapping into the playful energy of a little girl can make life more enjoyable and less serious. In this episode, I had a lively and heartfelt conversation with Whitney Chrstgau, a life, and trauma-informed coach. She shared openly about her childhood experiences with molestation and being groomed by a pedophilic couple. Whitney didn't let her personal traumas stop her from learning to love herself and now she works to help others heal from their own childhood traumas so they can live a life full of love and joy. Whitney is a Certified Trauma Recovery Coach that specialized in adults healing from childhood neglect and abuse. Being an empath and having had experienced the pain of neglect and abuse herself, Whitney understands the challenges survivors face and the overwhelming feelings that come from being traumatized. Whitney uses the concepts of interpersonal relationships and vulnerability to encourage others in their journey to regain their sense of safety within themselves and the world around them. Before the age of 17, I was faced with 3 pregnancies, 2 ended in abortion. These painful choices devastated me & put me in a state of rage. Angry & bitter, I despised everything. Fearful & full of shame & guilt I knew I had to get away from this narcissistic, gaslighting man, or I would end up destitute. Hiding behind shame & guilt, I kept my secret hidden & believed I deserved perpetual punishment. For over 3 decades I struggled with unforgiveness & turned to unhealthy coping mechanisms. Counseling didn't get to the root cause-I buried myself in my career & side gig. Despite my angry outbursts, I advanced & was successful in my job & church-my heart was hurting so I drank, ate, and became addicted to 0% credit cards, until one day I had enough. I overcame the fear, removed the blocks and the walls came tumbling down. Marie Moore, a 35-year-old mother from New Jersey, convinced a group of young teens to submit to systemic torture and sexual abuse for months. One of the teens, a 14-year-old boy named Ricky, was given the role of enforcer whose job was to dole out the punishments. Marie played mind games with the teens, claiming to be the embodiment of singer/songwriter Billy Joel, who had an insatiable appetite for cruelty. Eventually, Marie/Billy Joel's thirst for sadistic pleasure culminated into the torture of four people and the eventual death of 13-year-old Theresa Feury._________________________________________________________________________________________For more information on this story go to: www.CRIMESANDCONSEQUENCES.comGet Ad-Free, Early Releases, and over 100 Exclusive Episodes by going to:Apple Channel: CRIMES AND CONSEQUENCES XPatreon: Patreon.com/tntcrimes www.crimesandconsequences.comIG and Facebook: @hardcoretruecrime__________________________________________________________________________Sources: Court Records

So many of us have a little girl that lives inside our hearts. A little girl who could not show the world who she was when we were young because she was misunderstood, told she was too sensitive, and potentially ostracized from peer groups and family. Maybe she was banished from the lunch table. So, that little girl got small to meet the needs and desires of others who didn't have the capacity to meet her needs. It takes self-compassion to cradle that little girl inside. And it takes courage to finally break away from not being yourself, as a grown woman. In this episode, Jessica tells the story of the little girl who lives in her heart; the little girl she's learned how to love by letting go of the messaging she received through much of her life that she was too much. Also, some thoughts on how fucking up is a necessary part of self-growth, and will most definitely be a part of the anti-racist work that white women are being called to do right now. It helps if we can do this work together, as amazing women keeping each other honest. Jessica is committed to showing you her flaws as she grows, with the hopes that you won't be afraid to do the same. And if you are afraid, that's okay. Jessica is too. But let's do it anyway. Together. P.S. The red pills Jessica mentions taking are a reference to The Matrix. Not actual red pills. ******The One Day You Finally Knew: For Women Breaking Away podcast is produced and edited by Jessica Chasnoff, a recovering perfectionist who is always in a learning curve. Kate Bryan is from Detroit, MI and the CEO of 1 Girl Revolution. Her passion is helping women share their authentic stories. Today she shares about her early experiences with bullying and being silenced. That journey led her to create 1 Girl Revolution in order to empower other women to share their voices, because there are so many stories that the media isn't telling. Women aren't given a platform often enough, to tell their stories in an authentic way. Kate points out that so often, not only are we silenced by others, but sometimes we are our own worst enemies. We silence ourselves with our limiting beliefs and our self-doubt. A favorite quote shared: “I was born to do this.” -Joan of Arc Kate was born with a really rare immune deficiency called Job's Syndrome. Along with sickness and pain, it drew bullying when she was young. She quickly morphed from a little girl that had all kinds of ideas and stories to tell, to a silent “shrinking violet” trying desperately to not draw attention to herself. She eventually found herself and her courage, but still remembers those moments when she knew the pain of feeling invisible and what it feels like to have no voice or to be silenced. And that's why she cares so much about women and their stories. Kate advises to begin with courage. Do the things that your intuition and inner knowing tells you. You may not necessarily see the path way forward, but you just have to act on things as they come your way instead of just sitting and thinking about it, which a lot of us can be guilty of. Kate also shared a favorite habit- keeping a notebook around her where she can write an idea, a story or something that sparks an idea and it could be a big crazy dream. Write it down because you never know when you're going to be able to go back to that or you never know when you might have the resources. She advises to create a space to dream and think about things. Quiet your mind and just be who you were created to be, you have to tune in to that inspiration, you can't do that when you're super busy. Kate encourages everyone - if you have a dream, go for it! You just have to trust yourself, and do the work. Whatever your thing is, find it and chase it and don't be afraid. Recently, Kate and 1 Girl Revolution hit 100 episodes of the 1 Girl Revolution podcast (which is available on Apple podcasts, Spotify, and wherever you listen to podcasts) and released a short documentary featuring incarcerated women at Cook County Jail, called "The Girl Inside." A poem by Kiki age 20 diagnosis schizophrenia
"Don't give up on the girl inside." I can't stop thinking about this simple phrase Emily said in our conversation about her story and her book Atlas Girl. As moms, the voice of the girl inside can get drowned out by all the expectation, comparison and busyness of life. Sometimes we can forget who we are, what we dream and the story that made us who we are. In this simple conversation, Emily shares her story of how cancer, an eating disorder and ultimately God have shaped her heart and her motherhood. Grab a cup of tea and join us on the couch for a conversation that will inspire and challenge you. In This Episode You'll Hear... About her journey around the globe as she searches and learns about the love of God What it has been like to experience an eating disorder as a young adolescent and a young mom What it looks like to pursue your dreams as a mom Solve The Dinner Dilemma A huge thanks to this month's Podcast sponsor Plan to Eat.Be sure to check them out and grab their FREE 30 day trial.
