Sailor James, Scott, and Joey finish out their talk with a discussion of how our spirituality affects our view of politics and voting. We all came to the belief that it is important to vote, but there can be so many factors in how you vote whether it is out of fear of what might happen if the other side wins, or the personality of a leader you like, or the platform of a party that fits with your worldview. Other Topics Discussed: The differences between the British, American, and Dutch political systems. How people are more often single issue voters than they might admit. How Joey thinks the Netherlands has too many parties, while Scott and James would like a little more legitimate options in their American and British systems. Questions for the Community: How does your worldview affect how you vote? Which are better moral agents to affect change in society, the Government? Businesses? or Consumers? How much say do we really have to affect change as voters? Conventional wisdom says that you should always be pouring money into an IRA or 401k to plan for your eventual retirement. You’re taking money from yourself today, only to pay yourself back in the future. But what if there’s a better way? Russ Morgan and Joey Mure co-founded Wealth Without Wall Street, a company that teaches business owners to put their money to better use than squirreling it away in stocks, a checking account or traditional retirement account. The strategies Joey and Russ have developed allow business owners to create lasting wealth and positive cashflow today, setting them up for true wealth in retirement. Joey Mure’s Bio: Joey Mure, aka, The Stallion started his career in the mortgage business in 2003. He grew to become a branch manager with one of the Nation’s top mortgage lenders leading 25 loans officers. By 2010 he had achieved national recognition. Despite earning an impressive income he still had significant questions about how to save for the future without having to borrow from banks. How does anyone save aggressively for retirement AND simultaneously pay for automobiles, save for college, weddings, and vacations? In 2010 Joey met Russ, who shared the Infinite Banking Concept and everything changed. IBC allowed Joey to get completely out of debt besides paying off his mortgage, he started saving four times the amount he had previously been saving, and now had a clear plan of how to save for all our life’s expenses without giving up retirement savings. Joey decided to join Russ and cofounded a company called Wealth Without Wall Street. They teach people to stop trading time for money to achieve financial freedom by following the 5 Pillars of Wealth Without Wall Street. Russ Morgan’s Bio: Russ Morgan, aka, The Idea Guy, started his career in the financial industry. With 4 years of planning under his belt, Russ was stunned in September of 2008 to see the DOW Jones plummet 800 points. He had no idea that the market could react in such a volatile manner and knew this was something he could never have control over. Russ began a journey that day to passionately understand more about how to take back and gain control over his money, as well as that of his clients. Russ believes that it’s time you stop following conventional planning methods and start thinking for yourself. He enlightens business owners and investors with the knowledge they need to make sound financial decisions. The best path to financial freedom is one that frees you to make decisions that allow your money to grow, allow you to have access to this money, and to protect this money from market swings and tax regulations. Yes, all of this is possible, and Russ thrives on helping people in their journey to reach this financial freedom. What you’ll learn about in this episode: Why building wealth both inside and outside of your business is the most optimized way to achieve your goals How Joey realized that he wasn’t on the right career and wealth-building path and needed to make a change and how Russ helped Joey learn the secrets of efficiently building wealth How “wealth without Wall Street” is a money mindset that allows business owners to build wealth without taking all the risk of investing in Wall Street Why a checking account is one of the worst places to keep your money, and why your business is one of the best places to invest your money to create long term gains Why putting money in an IRA or a 401k is really just deferring cashflow until a later time, and why creating cashflow today is much more important Why becoming your own banker and loaning your money back to your business can completely reframe how you view your money How life insurance can be used in a way similar to a home equity line of credit, giving you cashflow without lowering in value How using your money in your business can offer a powerful payoff by freeing up more time and money for you to grow your business even more Why there are many options to invest your money even outside your business that create monthly cashflow Resources: Website: www.wealthwithoutwallstreet.com/onwardnation Joey Mure’s LinkedIn: www.linkedin.com/in/joey-mure-b376824/ Russ Morgan’s LinkedIn: www.linkedin.com/in/russ-morgan-72595519/ LinkedIn: www.linkedin.com/company/wealth-without-wall-street/ Facebook: https://facebook.com/wealthwithoutwallstreet Twitter: @withoutwallst Additional Resources: Free Executive Leadership Summary report from Predictive ROI: https://predictiveroi.com/research Sell With Authority by Drew McLellan and Stephen Woessner: https://amzn.to/39y7x13 Predictive ROI Free Resource Library: https://predictiveroi.com/resources/ Stephen Woessner’s LinkedIn: www.linkedin.com/in/stephenwoessner/

Vertigo Chronic dizziness, along with nausea and even tinnitus, can be a stunningly awful game changer. Some people have to change their careers. Other isolate in misery. Others doctor hop or read doom and gloom on the Internet. The buck stops here. Listen to understand vertigo as healable. Often, rapidly.  In this show you will learn: Why your vestibular system was the first system in the womb to develop. The various types of vertigo. How vertigo and even tinnitus may be “talking” to you, and how to hear what each is saying. Joey’s 12-week online course that has changed the vertigo path for thousands - including a dear friend and patient of Dr. Berkson’s. How Joey’s multi-layered background, especially in yoga ,was a perfect mix. What is “holding space” and why this is critical for both the patient and the doctor. How tinnitus can be seen as the body responding oddly to new cues. New cues make your physiology change and this new physiology gives off sound and language. That adds up to sounds in your inner ears. Wow. How doctors can optimally work with this information. Most all cases of vertigo and tinnitus are healable and often within months. When Joey’s new book Rock Steady is launching.   Guest Joey Remenyi Joey is a special woman. She weaves scientific language and data along with healing words of a “priestess” creating a tapestry of wisdom. It’s not often a great healer has the capacity to also be a great healing storyteller. Joining me today is Joey Coleman. He is a speaker, teacher, and author of the book Never Lose a Customer Again. I’m a big fan of his book, and we recently used his book for our team at Self Publishing School. At the end of the book club, Joey came on, and we did a Q&A with him. Joey describes the message of his book as “If we want to be in business, grow our businesses and earn the right to continue to be in business, then we have to take care of our customers.” We need to focus on the clients who have signed up and want to be part of our business family. He realized as he was speaking, he could only reach a fraction of the people he wanted to reach others who didn’t have the opportunity to hear him speak. “I wanted to create a product that would serve them well.” He wanted to write a book that contained long-lasting principles. We talk about different types of publishers, and why he wanted to go with a traditional publisher. Make sure to get clear on why you are writing your book and what you want to accomplish before you choose a type of publisher. He and I talk about the financial tracking that accompanies using a publisher and the opportunities that my book has given me, not counting book sales. Listen in to find out the two primary goals for Joey to write his book, his perception and the reality of the cost of writing a book, and how Joey received a six-figure advance for his book. Learn why Joey hasn’t earned out his advance, how his book has improved his speaking fees, and his marketing plan for his book. In this part two of this natural wine crash course with certified sommelier Joey Fox, some of the topics we discuss include: Why the term “natural” in natural wine encounters some of the same definitions issues as many products in the spirits world. Think “craft” or “small batch” - terms that are ambiguous and somewhat relative. Which multi-thousand dollar bottle of wine has been quietly produced as a natural wine without really any public knowledge. How Joey and other winemakers make progress on their craft and share ideas to advance natural wine in the public view. What the term “biodynamic farming” means, and what it holds for the future of both sustainability and flavor. How Old Westminster winery is undertaking a cool new project with hybrid grapes that could revolutionize the way we think about winemaking in America - a place where controlled denominations of origin aren’t held in as high regard compared to elsewhere in the world. What to drink while eating street food in Japan with Anthony Bourdain And much, much more.

How Joey worked his way into the natural wine world by way of tea, then coffee, then restaurants, then organic vegetable farming. How native yeast fermentation, lack of chemical additives and preservatives, and lack of fining and filtration can wildly impact the flavor profile of a wine. What the terms “skin contact,” “orange wine,” and pet nat” mean, and why you’re going to start hearing these terms a lot more How natural winemaking practices can take a grape that’s usually used to make “cougar juice” (AKA Pinot Grigio), and turn it into something extremely refined and food friendly. I am so glad that today’s guest and wildly successful entrepreneur, Joey Fazio, and I were recently introduced by a mutual friend. Growing up in a military family, his life was a bit atypical as his father was gone often (at age 12 his dad was deployed and didn’t come home for three years). Joey left his parents’ home at the age of 17, joined college a little after only to eventually drop out at age 20 and join the military (Air Force) himself.   Always having an innate drive for success and dreams of bigger things, he left his secure military job to pursue the unknown. Unfortunately, his wife at the time (who had two children with) did not share his passion, and they divorced. So, at the age of 26, Joey started over with a negative net worth, but knew he would become a multi-millionaire by age 36. Spoiler alert: He’s now 36 and a multi-millionaire.   You don’t want to miss this episode as Joey shares his amazing, but sometimes difficult entrepreneurial journey. I truly appreciated how authentic and vulnerable our conversation was and I know that you will resonate with it as well – especially on topics of relationships, money and giving back.   --   Question Highlights:   What were you feeling like when you were starting over with nothing? What is your advice for those who feel someone they love is holding them back? What did you learn in the military that you use today? Where can someone develop discipline if they haven’t been in the military? Of your business, which is your favorite? Where does your insane entrepreneurial drive come from? Would you be able to make as big a difference as you do now without money? What does money mean to you? How do you want your kids to grow up viewing money and opportunity?   In This Episode You Will Learn:   About how Joey turned a negative worth into millions Advice on what to do if you have an unsupportive partner or spouse Why discipline is essential to growing a successful business The importance of working from the bottom up in a company Why time and opportunity is more important than money How Joey raises his kids to view money And so much more…   Joey’s Thoughts…   “Time is the most valuable resource that any of us have.”   “Act now – the sooner the better.”   “Couples that share goals and have the same vision have a much higher chance of succeeding than those with separate goals.”   “If you don’t have the partner who supports you and sees your vision – leave.”   “Start at the bottom. Work every position. Be the smartest person in the room.”   “If you have the opportunity to put yourself in a position of power and that truly helps people and makes a difference – do it.”   “You can’t help anyone from the bottom.”   “If you piss off 10 people to help a million – do it.”   “It’s not about the money, it’s about the opportunity.”   “If you’re going to help, go all in.”   -- Joseph Fazio, is a seasoned entrepreneur who has owned and operated businesses for 18+ years. Joseph has owned/owns 4 different franchised business models as well as proprietary concepts and start-ups. Specific to restaurants, Joseph owns several Denny’s franchises and is a certified restaurant operator. Joseph, has won multiple awards with the Denny’s organization and was named IFA Franchisee of the Year and was awarded by Congress in 2013 for work two Tint World stores that he owned.   Joseph, holds college degrees in both Computer Science and Human Resources Management and is a Disabled Veteran having served six years in the United States Air Force. Since separating from the Air Force, Joseph has owned/operated over 20 businesses and has excelled dramatically in both the fitness and entertainment arenas. In 2016, Joseph sold the largest outsourced personal training and gym management company in the United States, after growing his company to 2,000+ personal trainers and managing over 300 gyms. During this time, Joseph created the supplement company “FitStrong” that sponsored/managed 6 top 10 Olympians as well as roughly 100 other athletes/ambassadors. During this time, Joseph perfected athlete and celebrity marketing/management and currently works with some of the biggest names in social media as well as professional athletes and entertainers.   Joseph is now a multi-unit franchisee of Crunch Fitness and is developing Phoenix, Arizona. He has expanded the FitStrong brand to include nutrition shops, and is in the process of becoming the franchisor. Joseph, brings a plethora of business, marketing and branding knowledge to any team. In this show I talk with Joey Bridges, one-half of the Bridges twins. Joey and his twin brother, Jamey, host the Marketing Madness podcast and run client’s online marketing campaigns. Not too long ago they were on top of the world helping real estate agents and then it collapsed. They faced over $70,000 in chargebacks and refunds. It’s a scary story. And not one they like to talk about. What we cover in this show: How the real estate collapse kicked the legs out of their previous business. Why focusing on one target market is a double edged sword. How they found themselves with over $70,000 in chargebacks and cancellations that had to be paid in 60 days. How they demonstrated true entreprunerial grit, and created something out of nothing, to repay the $70k in 60 days. How the necessity to make money and pay back this debt forced them to find another market, learn it, and develop solutions people want. How they went from “Can we do it?” to “Oh yeah, I’ll get it done.” Why he said that If you have a job, and you’re happy, don’t go try starting a business. What happened when his clients intentionally sabotages the work they were doing for them. What he learned so they better communicate with their clients. Why you don’t want to be the client’s only source of business. Why you don’t want only one type of client! Why they won’t take on clients who they are their only source of business. How his appreciation for other’s struggles have changed. Why you want to do business slowly and choose your clients wisely. How Joey realized when they sold someting that they didn’t think was perfect for the customer, it always blew up in their face. How small changes made a big impact in their business and personal lives. How he went from barely able to ride a bike for 7 miles 4 yrs ago to completing their first Ironman competition last year. Enjoy the show.
