SEASON 3 EPISODE 118: COUNTDOWN WITH KEITH OLBERMANN A-Block (1:45) SPECIAL COMMENT: ICE Director Tom Homan and his boss Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem must be arrested for contempt of court. It SHOULD be President Ted Bundy Trump being arrested for contempt of court – potentially for ignoring the orders of the SUPREME COURT - but we already know how the laws of this land have been corrupted to protect the greatest criminal in our history. That it cannot be will simply hasten the latest iteration of the constitutional crisis created by a lawless chief executive who still has the military behind him. We are headed for a flashpoint, perhaps as soon as today. To summarize: Trump believes he is God. But in the interim it is time for U-S District Judge Paula Xinis to send this rogue government a message. In fact it is well past time. “Time” was two days ago, at 5 PM. Noem and Homan are now in contempt of HER order in the case of the Noem-Homan-ICE abduction, the DISAPPEARING of a Maryland man already under the PROTECTION of the government of the United States, Kilmar Abrego Garcia. They are in contempt of the orders not of some judge – as the fascist Stephen Miller and his brownshirts call any representative of law and order – they are in contempt of the LAWS OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA. It is not some judge. They are in contempt of the NATION and they are on the VERGE of being in contempt of the Supreme Court. The point, of course, may be the admission that they abducted someone by "mistake." They sent a Massachusetts-born immigration lawyer a notice to leave the country by "mistake." They warned ICE will keep illegal "ideas" from entering the country, by "mistake." Maybe these are mistakes - God knows, it all involves Elon Musk - but now they see an opportunity to exploit even mistakes to deliver the message, passively but still aggressively, that even when they are wrong they are still RIGHT because even when they are wrong what do you think YOU are going to be able to DO about it? What do you think YOU are going to be able to DO about it, Mrs Abrego Garcia? What do you think YOU are going to be able to DO about it, Judge? What do you think YOU are going to be able to DO about it, AMERICA? B-Block (40:00) THE WORST PERSONS IN THE WORLD: We have a new member of the WPITW Hall of Fame, Linda McMahon. We dedicate this episode to Stephen A. Smith, still making a fool of himself. And then the nominees: Bill Maher makes a propaganda video for Trump saying all the nice things about Trump that Maher has forgotten he already said about them in 2016 and then repudiated. Trump butt dials the wrong McMaster. And Jeanine Pirro may be the dumbest person to ever work at Fox News. Do you know what an accomplishment this would be? C-Block (1:04:05) GOOD NIGHT AND GOOD LUCK: A quick announcement about the immediate future of this podcast. Sounds more ominous than it is.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

WE...ARE...SOOO....TIRED. Do you feel it? We have so much SHIT going on at work...then we have no energy to manage our emotions and then say ALL the things that we don't want to say to people because we have no filter and then feel like such a bitch, but we're not a bitches (unless we WANT to be), but we DON'T want to be thought of as bitches with our colleagues because we love them but, we are the coach, the mentor, the leader and we are all learning new habits and sometimes we're so tired we just don't have the energy or the patience to deal. We all started to hustle when we were young. Shelby had a part-time job at the age of 12! Many of us worked our way through college or High School and hustled in those very first jobs because we felt like we had to prove ourselves. Some of us hustle to meet important deadlines and client demands. Some of us work multiple jobs to keep the lights on and food on the table. Then some of us started and worked to "prove ourselves" to our male counterparts that we can juggle ALL the balls...childbirth, being a parent, and a dedicated employee. And now....now, that we're more or less 50--we're just tired. Too tired to hustle any more. Amanda Ortega ...HELP US PLEASE!! Our guest today, is an author, speaker, and certified professional coach. Her mission is to help high achievers (like us) prevent burnout by cultivating a healthy approach to success. Her new book, Inward to Upward: Discover your Blueprint for True Success and Escape the Toxic Success Trap Forever, offers a guidebook for ambitious professionals to redefine success for themselves and achieve greater calm, balance, and fulfillment in their lives. Amanda's mission is to change the way we view our self worth and the collective definition of success in our society. In our episode today, she raises awareness of our state of chronic stress and our underlying belief that stress is the fuel behind our success. Guess what..our level of stress is NOT helping us to be more successful! No it is not. It's actually burning us out and making us sick. We're not the only ambitious high achievers out there who are unhappy. So, why do we call this success? Our guest's definition of the "toxic-success trap" is cycles of achievement in which we pursue external goals at the expense of our wellbeing. As we advance in our careers, the idea of "performance" can pull us out of alignment with our true selves and damage our sense of innate self worth. Amanda wants to help people break free of that cycle. SO....Amanda! TEACH US how to return to our authentic Self (Capital S) and separate ourselves from the external performance and fucking dog and pony show we pull off every day. We're ready to STOP defining success transactionally and honor the fact that we are so much more than what we produce!! In this episode, Amanda teaches us: The "success trap" isn't a place, but rather a mindset and an approach to success that isn't sustainable. The definition includes a perception that stress is necessary for success and that current day suffering is a trade off for future happiness. Trust that "calm presence" can help you enjoy your life more and you can be more successful. Life should NOT be stress, stress, stress....pocket of calm. It SHOULD be calm, calm, calm...pocket of stress. You body is equipped to deal with pockets of stress, but burn out happens when your body faces chronic stress daily. Learn to check in with your body and notice what it is telling you...are your shoulders hunched, do you have a pit in your stomach? This is your body in stress. Learn to recognize it and ask yourself if this level of stress is serving you right now and if you're operating from your "fear center". Then, downshift into a more neutral space by breathing or taking a short walk. When you feel your body move into stress, get curious. Use what you notice as (potential) triggers as data points. Then set up "experiments" (not goals) to put to practice your new theories about how you can show up differently and prove the world won't fall apart. The Presence Projects presents episode 88 of the "Are You Being Present?" podcast series. Join Paul for a podcast that is focused on an affirmation that can help to provide relief, peace and Presence to those enduring adversity and challenges here on Earth. The title and topic of this episode is “All Is Well and All Is Unfolding as It Should in the Present Moment". In this podcast Paul explores a statement, and Presence affirmation, that he has used personally and shared with many people he has worked with. This statement is a powerful reminder that everything is ok, even if your mind is trying to make you believe the opposite. By releasing resistance, we can accept what is being presented to us and flow through it with grace and ease instead of frustration and stress. In a previous podcast Paul focused on eventualities, this information is relevant to the belief that all is unfolding as it should. There are times we want to believe that we know better and that things should be happening differently. If we zoom out, understand eventualities, we can see how life is unfolding exactly as it should no matter what our ego tells us. As always, it is advisable to listen to earlier podcasts that discuss other Presence topics and Presence Tools that can be implemented to help shift into the Present Moment. Please check out the rest of the "Are You Being Present?" podcasts series on our website, iTunes and YouTube! Remember you have a choice. Choose to be present! https://www.areyoubeingpresent.com

The Pros and Cons of Consistency On today's Warehouse Safety Tips Wednesday, we'll be covering "The Pros and Cons of Consistency" - so stay tuned. Welcome to Warehouse Safety Tips! You can find the show notes to each episode, links to the information mentioned on the podcast, the social media platforms we're on, and anything else related to the podcast at WarehouseSafetyTips.com (https://www.warehousesafetytips.com/) . If you're a seasoned Podcast Listener - this podcast is going to be different from most you listen to. It's based around exactly what the name implies - Warehouse Safety Tips. And since the people in that industry are busy - we know time is money, so each episode will be as short and to the point as possible. And now that all that is out of the way - let's get to the Podcast! The great Benjamin Frankin is quoted as saying, "Energy and Persistence Conquer All Things". There are two components to that statement - energy, and persistence. Let's break those down individually. Simply stated - energy IS action. Many times you'll hear people say, "Knowledge Is Power". But it's only half true. Knowledge is only powerful when applied. And what is the application of something? Action or energy. Persistence can be likened to consistency. But are persistence and/or consistency always a good thing? The answer is no. Compounding on something can actually be positive AND negative. In his book "The Slight Edge" - Jeff Olson states, "It doesn't seem to make a difference at the time - but compounded by time, makes all the difference in the world." IT being a slight discipline OR a slight error in judgment. As it applies to safety - what would you rather do? Look at that machine that has an obvious need - lubrication, safety guard replaced, and/or maintenance issue - and say, "It SHOULD make it another day."? OR Embarq on an unending quest to find and fix every potential safety issue you can find? Because you're listening to this Podcast - we KNOW you're an action taker! Compounding money will make you rich - but compounding safety pays awesome dividends too! Before moving on - here's a word from one of our sponsors. If you've ever been to or worked in a warehouse - you know just how important safety is to both management and staff. Full disclosure. Stealing this from a tweet that went viral. Can’t find the tweet though. Super weird. Anyway, this is going to really rock your world. You ready? The thought experiment goes like this…Imagine you can instantly become as wealthy as Warren Buffet…However, in order to achieve that massive wealth… you also need to become his age…. right now…Would you do it? If not…. the question becomes… who is really wealthier???In fact, let’s flip the question…How much of that $87.3 Billion do you think Warren Buffet would spend to add even 10 more years to his life? 50 years?Again, the question becomes… who is really wealthier….?This question hit me like a ton of bricks this week. Anyone else think that is truly profound? Comment below and smash a like on this letter if you think so….(oh and while I’m asking you to do stuff, try this letter out for free for 30 days by clicking the blue button)But seriously. I can’t shake this one, it’s way too true.Something about human nature seems to make us forget one simple fact…We are all going to die…Since that is 100% true ^^It SHOULD follow that we value our TIME above everything else…(because it’s TRULY the only thing that money CAN’T buy…)But do we LIVE like that is true?I don’t know about you, but for me, the answer is, unfortunately, usually NO!I work and work and work and strive and push, and in the process, forget to LIVE the best years of my life! Now, I’m not saying throw away your work ethic and become some sort of hippie. However, I do think we could ALL experience a LOT more happiness if we just truly internalized the fact that WE ARE RICHER THAN WARREN BUFFETT!Truly, we are. Here’s some random takeaways that I think about after I’ve really internalized that thought experiment above…1) Scarcity is everything.Scarce things have VALUE. Time is the most scarce of all. 2) Things that aren’t easy to create have VALUE.You can’t create more time. Hence why it’s the most valuable “thing” in the World.3) Humans behave irrationally, until they don’t.Everyone knows they are going to die. It’s only when they start LIVING like that is TRUE that they truly live.4) Those 3 concepts above apply to other things…..Bitcoin and your own business come to mind….Both are SCARCE. (21 million Bitcoin and ONE business that you created)Both aren’t easy to create. (Bitcoin has a capped supply, your business SHOULD be difficult to replicate)Humans behave irrationally towards both Bitcoin and owning a business. First, they act like there’s unlimited time to start a business, and unlimited Bitcoin in existence. Then, they realize that isn’t true, and they rush in because they know they must. I’ll just leave it there for the day, probably better to have you reflect on this rather than blabber on about it. Let me know in the comments if this helped you, and share it with someone else you think it would help. IT Should be as simple as turning on the tap and water coming out. Hear more about this and other amazing insights from Colin McCarthy, a global IT leader. Hear his story on how he got into IT, and where his career has taken him. Like many of us, he got his start tinkering with something his parents brought home when he was a kid. We discuss a newer path in IT known as SaaSOps which is the management of online applications that are rapidly taking the place of their desktop counterparts and the complexities of managing so many different applications for users all over the world. The Coronavirus pandemic has permanently changed the way we work, and adopting newer cloud-based applications allows us to be agile, and allow employees to get their jobs done, no matter what the world looks like. ✈️ Your Next Date is going INTERNATIONAL! ✨ In this episode, we get to go on our first international date with Joanne Nguyen. If we were to sum her up in just a few phrases, it would be:
Introduction--One of the great errors that the church has had to battle throughout history is the viewing of salvation as something that is not NECESSARILY experiential. -According to this error, salvation occurs wherever you find a willingness to profess faith in Jesus. -Pray this prayer.- -Say these words.- -Welcome to the family of God-- -Don't ever allow someone, or some set of circumstances, to cause you to doubt.- -You asked Jesus to save you, and that settles it.--What also characterizes this error is a gutted gospel message. A gospel that is not the gospel. -Professions of faith are called for, but in response to a message that doesn't match the fulness of the biblical gospel.-Sometimes, no mention of sin. -If sin IS mentioned, it is often minimized and dealt with superficially. -There is a superficial presentation of God, of Christ, of what salvation really is, and what it means for someone to believe.-YOU HAVE TRUNCATED MESSAGE-ELICITING A TRUNCATED RESPONSE-Those who fall prey to this error emphasize salvation from the standpoint of its legal results. Salvation is a legal matter. Salvation is factual, it is objectively true, but it is not necessarily something that changes a life in this age. -It SHOULD. It CAN. But we cannot say that it always WILL.--So that, it is possible, according to this view, to have been saved from the fires of hell, and brought into a heavenly citizenship, and there be no real difference in your life right now.-The results from this error has been devastating.

What do Rohit and Coronavirus have in common? They're both annoying, Asian diseases, who have both recently reached Australian shores. To celebrate Rohit's triumphant return from his Contiki through Cuba, we invite Kushagra's brother, Kartik, onto the show to discuss all things Coronavirus. We also experience more early year rust, as the boys forget how their own game works, Rohit can't count past one and Kartik fails to listen to simple instructions. Also this week: geography lessons, international beggars, turmeric, carpark poopers, professional bad news bearers, Cuban DJ's and Australian Open conspiracies. Segments this week: Weekly Reach Around: Like good mates do, the boys get around each other and their week's events in the most homoerotic segment in podcasting. The Price is Right: This is definitely an original game that Rohit came up with on his own. Rules are simple: guess the price of some questionable items on Craigslist to the nearest $5. It Should've Been Me: The boys recount some terrifying experiences from their past where they have (un)fortunately missed out on the sweet release of death. Conspiracy Corner: As the Critical Banter name suggests, we encourage critical thought, so in this segment we deep dive into some of the most prominent conspiracy theories. Trivia of the Week: As if listening to this podcast wasn't mind numbing enough, the boys leave you with one last piece of useless information to end the show. ___________________________________________________ FULL PODCAST EPISODES

Wingnut Social: The Interior Design Business and Marketing Podcast
Let’s do a little experiment: search for “Interior Design YOUR CITY” right now on Google - and you’ll see Google Local Search listings right at the top. Is your business shown there? It SHOULD be… but if it’s not, never fear. This minisode is all about helping you get set up on what’s now called “Google My Business.” Listen to learn what Google My Business is and where it appears on search results, why it’s a good idea for you as a designer, how to set it up so that it’s accurate and helpful to searchers, AND why it’s important to stay on top of the details of your GMB profile so that you can always be found in Google Local Search. What You’ll Hear On This Monday Marketing Minisode of Wingnut Social [1:41] What IS Google My Business (and why is it important)? [3:40] Why GMB is a good idea for interior designers [4:58] How to set up your Google My Business account [7:57] Why you need to stay on top of your GMB profile Resources & People Mentioned Google My Business (set yours up NOW) You do design work in a particular area, so you need to be sure you can be found in that area These days most people find everything they need through a web search. That includes interior design services like yours. It’s important that your business shows up in the local results when people search for a local designer. Google My Business is a special service that you have to tap into beyond just having a website. When you go to their site, you can actually submit your information and get listed in their results for local businesses - stuff like your address, phone number, hours of operation - you get the idea. On this episode we share the quick and easy way to get your interior design business listed. Once your business is listed in Google My Business, stay on top of it Just a few days ago we referred someone to an architect we’ve worked with before. He does fabulous work. That person called us later in the day saying that our friend architect looks like a great person to work with but that his business is closed. We were shocked because we’d just talked to him the day before. The problem is that when she searched for him on Google, his local search results page said that the business was permanently closed - because he’d changed physical locations and had not updated his Google My Business profile. The same thing could happen to you if you’re not able to stay on top of your GMB listing. Don’t shoot yourself in the foot by failing to keep your business in the public eye through Google local search results. Listen to find out how! Why do we travel? What makes us spend our money to leave familiar surroundings, sit in an airplane, and trek into unknown places? As David prepares for a trip to Asia, we spend some time talking about our travel experiences, where we’d love to visit, and what drives us (or doesn’t) to pick up and go. David talks about how he’s trying to change from a “travel scrooge” to a fearless(ish) wanderer, and Eugene reveals the one form of travel he would never, ever do. Thanks for listening! What can we say about Star Wars that hasn't already been said, I mean our freaking logo is a Star Wars rip off. We love this franchise with all of our heart, and confession time, I have never wished I was older than I am, or be to be born in a different era, but I legitimately wish I was a kid in 1977 seeing that first trilogy of movies would have been even more life changing, than what Star Wars is to me, and my BFF Olivia. Join me and Olivia as we rank all of the movies, spin offs and all. We also do a mini Solo: A Star Wars Story review. Talk about some Top Gun 2 news, and apparently, there is going to be a Shia Labeouf biopic where he plays his dad. It Should be a fun episode. Kickoff Week 2018 Continues! The morning after WTM 2017 Will Hicks took his microphone to the hotel lobby to see who he could find. He ended up talking with Zoe Szczepanek, Maria Herrera, Gaspar Vazquez, and Evan Perperis for this episode. Zoe Szczepanek (Scha-pah-neck. You can do it) was the sideline reporter for the Facebook Live coverage of WTM 2017. She shares her thoughts on the event, the community, and her future plans in the sport. 2017 was Maria Herrera's first time at WTM. She suffered an injury but still cranked out 35 miles her first time out. Gaspar Vazquez was also a rookie this year. He finished with 50 miles even though he started cramping up IN THE FIRST LAP. Evan Perperis was part of a two-man team in the classic team category with Wesley Kerr. They won second place with 80 miles. Before we even talk with our guests though, we have a pretty intense discussion of Australia. You can blame Anne Carolyn Clifford, or you can blame Will's poor pronunciation of Brisbane.
