Welcome to Dev Game Club, where this week we begin a new series on 1997's Final Fantasy Tactics, which took the series into a new genre. We talk about the game's presentation, basics, and technology as well as how the game begins. Dev Game Club looks at classic video games and plays through them over several episodes, providing commentary. Sections played: First few battles Issues covered: finals fantasies, 1997 in games, testing various games, placing us in that time, a surprising departure in the series, TTRPGs and being "like chess," translating a genre to the PS1, closer combat/smaller spaces, opacity, not remembering the game well, the Zodiac, some other series, a niche genre, limited input options and menus, Ivalice and medieval setting, a deeper simulated system than FF combat generally has, translating well to the genre, the opening cinematics, preferring alignment of story with general engine use, developing technology to stream video, in-game stuff holding up better, getting the leverage from sprites, the diorama look, merging gameplay with non-interactive content, pre-rendered rewards, terrain rendering and spinning the camera, the close-in space vs larger areas and fog of war, elevation and abilities, map differentiation for visuals and challenge, the game over screen, modern engagement. Games, people, and influences mentioned or discussed: Vagrant Story, Final Fantasy (series), Johnny "Pockets", GoldenEye, Diablo, Fallout, Castlevania: SotN, The Last Express, FF 7, Curse of Monkey Island, Grand Theft Auto, JK: Dark Forces 2, Myth: The Fallen Lords, Ultima Online, Outlaws, XvT, Starfox 64, Quake 2, Blade Runner, Dungeon Keeper, Age of Empires, Riven, Gran Turismo, Interstate '76, Populous, LucasArts, MechWarrior, Ogre Battles (series), SNES, Quest Corporation, Hironobu Sakaguchi, Chris Hockabout, Chris Corry, X-COM (series), Mario/Rabbids (series), Fire Emblem (series), Mark Garcia, Disgaea (series), Anachronox, Front Mission (series), Shining Force (series), Vandal Hearts (series), Valkyria Chronicles, Mass Effect (series), Star Wars, Blizzard, Ghost of Tsushima, Horizon: Forbidden West, God of War, The Sims, Vagrant Story, Metal Gear Solid, Axis and Allies, Kirk Hamilton, Aaron Evers. Hello! And welcome to the sixth season of Retrograde Amnesia, where we're covering the original release of Final Fantasy Tactics and The War of the Lions. In the opening, information-loaded episode, we're determining who is playing which version, ignoring Tactics Advance, pronouncing “Ivalice,” buying the mobile version, leaving Quest en masse, framing Tactics as another attempt at an Ogre, adding a sense of swashbuckling heroism, valuing 60fps, calling Matsuno for help, canceling a sequel, listening to commercials, reading old game magazines, applying elite hacks, hot-seating a past playthrough, getting lost in the Epic Center, relating Ogre Battle to IVF, and spawning Chris' origin story. The first is a man named Delita Heiral, the hero who would draw the curtain on the War of the Lions, this dark act of Ivalice's history. The land of Ivalice is a land in constant turmoil, and with Final Fantasy XII we find ourselves caught in the midst of a larger struggle that is obliterating the borderlands between two massive empires. This is how the stage is set for the twelfth entry in the Final Fantasy series, the first mainline entry of the series to get really weird with it. This episode concerns itself primarily with the game's many new mechanics, and a general discussion of how they hang together. We then talk about the intro to the game, covering everything up through the mines on Bhujerba. Big thanks to Nat for executive producing this episode. The Final Fantasy XII Journey Begins - A Sky Pirate's Destiny HPCritical has created a JRPG club. As a book club would, we chose a video game, and we choose portions of it to progress through as we come together once a month to discuss the title. The next game the JRPG club chose to delve into is Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age. This classic JRPG was divisive during its initial 2006 release, and yet the Zodiak Age brought the title back into the mainstream in 2017 with a new appreciation from fans of its complexities as well as streamlining game mechanics. Join us as we journey through Ivalice and discover what Final Fantasy XII has in store for us. If you're a fan of Final Fantasy XII or JRPG's in general, make sure you check out this upcoming series every month as we explore the story, characters, gameplay, and more on Final Fantasy XII with JRPG veterans and newcomers alike. Join HPCritical and friends as they tread through FFXII and join the journey if you'd like. The first stopping point is reaching the Firemane boss fight. That's where we stop talking on this current episode. To continue on with us our next stopping point is reaching the Ozmone Plains. For this episode we share our initial impressions of the game, the story so far, how we feel about the characters, and the battle mechanics, all from the perspective of JRPG and FFXII veterans to newcomers some of whom have never played a JRPG before. Come listen along as our story begins. --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/hpcritical/support

Final Fantasy Tactics is a tactical role-playing game developed and published by Squaresoft (later changed to Square and now Square Enix) for the Sony PlayStation video game console. Released in Japan in June 1997 and in the United States in January 1998, it is the first game of the Final Fantasy Tactics series. The game combines thematic elements of the Final Fantasy video game series with a game engine and battle system unlike those previously seen in the franchise. In contrast to other 32-bit era Final Fantasy titles, Final Fantasy Tactics uses a 3D, isometric, rotatable playing field, with bitmap sprite characters. Final Fantasy Tactics is set in a fictional medieval-inspired kingdom called Ivalice, created by Yasumi Matsuno. The game's story follows Ramza Beoulve, a highborn cadet who finds himself thrust into the middle of an intricate military conflict known as The Lion War, where two opposing noble factions are coveting the throne of the kingdom. As the story progresses, Ramza and his allies discover a sinister plot behind the war. The game received critical acclaim from gaming magazines and websites and has become a cult classic since its release. It has been cited as one of the greatest video games of all time.

This is the second Final Fantasy game to wield the Gaiden, or spinoff title, in Japan; The other being the aforereviewed Final Fantasy Adventure. The game’s directors were Takashi Tokita and Hiroaki Yabuta. Tokita you may remember as the director of Chrono Trigger and Parasite Eve. He also worked as lead designer for Final Fantasy IV. The game was produced by Tomoya Asano, the lead artist was Akihiko Yoshida; Yoshida worked on background art and main character design for the Ivalice games, where Mizuta worked on FFXI with Uematsu, and that god awful Parasite Eve 2. The development team had begun to consider a sequel to this game, and that’s why we’re going to play Bravely Default; which is what that “sequel” eventually became. The entire game was meant to be a throwback to the original titles in the Final Fantasy series, and you can definitely tell. The game featured an interesting storybook style art design, similar to Chocobo’s Tales, and also features a pretty bitchin version of the job system from FF III and V. The development team looked to DQ games, and other popular NES era RPG’s for inspiration as well as previous FF titles.   Plot: The game starts out in the city of Horne with our main hero Brandt. Brandt is presenting himself to the king to enter manhood, and discovers that the Princess, Aire, has been taken by the Witch of the North, named Louhi. Along the way, Brandt meets up with his moody friend Jusqua and the princess’ personal bodyguard, and savior of us all, Yunita. Together they journey to the witche’s house, and eventually slay Louhi. When we trudge back to Horne, we find that the entire town has been turned to stone by some curse, and the king is missing. This is when our little fellowshiop breaks for the time being. Brandt and Yunita try to restore Horne’s villagers, while Jusqua and Aire flee to Liberte, a seafaring town. Brandt and Yunita meet a fellow named Krinjh in a nearby desert, who leads them to the magic kingdom of Guera. The King of Guera asks them to deal with the fucking Sandman, since Spiderman is busy, and you agree. But of course, he annihalates you, because you need water spells and the LEADER ORDERS A FUCKING FREEZE ON WATER SPELL SALES! Anyway, you win the fight, but the sand creature is revealed to be Araidne, who Krinjh runs away with. Aire meets up with a fairy named Lilibelle, and gets turned into a cat. Aire leaves Jusqua’s grumpy ass behind, and finds Brandt, who also left Yunita behind for some reason… Anyway, they head to Arbor forest, where the Queen of the forest turns Brandt into a plant, because she doesn’t trust humans after the events of Ferngully 1, and dare I say 2. Aire then teams up with a mouse named Tortehhhh to find an Animal Staff in order to turn Brandt into a dog, thus making him more trustworthy. But before we get this taken care of, we must defeat Arbaroc; the guardian of Arbor. We knock him out, and the Queen of Arbor turns the Animal Staff into the Transformation Staff, which allows us to go transspecial with a mere three menu clicks. We then first learn of Rolan, who searches for the Dark Towe…. Wait, no. He’s just a dude from Spelvia who may know how to help Horne. The two animals Aire and Brandt climb the great tree of the arbor and leap to the super FF-esque floating island of Spelvia, but Aire is the only one who makes it across. Jusqua finds a regular cat, who he mistakes for Aire somehow, and travels to Urbeth; finding Yunita and a sorcerer who claims to be able to lift the curse from “Aire”. We earn some dough by completing some quests for the locals, and then we find out that the dirty sorcerer was nothing more than a con artist, who promptly escapes to the six teraflop city of Invidia. Jusqua leaves warrior princess Yunita behind and pursues the sorcerer on a boat. He’s soon reunited with Brandt, and learns that Aire was with him the whole time. When our two heroes arrive in Invidia, they meet up with a girl named Rekoteh who helps them get the dragon harp, which allows the party to summon a dragon to fly to Spelvia. Yunita has climbed the tower to the Sky to reach the town, and meets up with Aire as they arrive. We then visit Rolan, who also dislikes humans, and has locked himself away in solitude. Then we get a sweet sequence where Yunita and Aire travel into Rolan’s unconcious mind with the help of the Witch of the Sky to destroy the monsters controlling him. This, however, causes Rolan to ulneash the darkness that was locked away inside him, and warp the very fabric of reality. Ardyn, anyone?? At this point, the heroes search for the Weapons of Light to save the world from the Dark Lord that the ancient hero Rolan defeated and sealed away. In the kingdom of Guera’s past, Krinj is a servant of their past king, who turns out to be Asmodeus, or as Joe and I call him, Assdemon, the demon of lust; and he lusts after your juicy asscheeks, to be sure. Yunita prevents his evil plans from being completed by using the Merkmal, or Merkin, to reveal his true identity, and then the group fights him, gets fucking wrecked, and darkness wins the day. 40 times. Until eventually he doesn’t fuck you over instantly, and you defeat him. Krinjh then rewards you with the Shield of Light, which I actually didn’t take at first, which led me to be lost for about three hours last night. Krinjh eventually becomes king, and makes peace with the nearby nations. In Liberte’s past, and artist is looking to create the most beautiful piece of art ever, and wants to incorporate Lillibelle into it. A bunch of pirates steal the work, and we find out they were being possessed. ONce we free them, we awaken Cetus, an ancient whale, and use him to defeat Leviathan, the demon of envy. Urubeth was once a city of faith, but a recent plague turned it into a commerce town. Thazund, one of the high merchants of the town, has a daughter who has fallen ill to the plague. Jusqua is determined to prevent this, and finds a cure, but we also find out that the town apothecary is causing the plague, and selling the medicine at an absurdly high markup. We reveal him to be Beelzebub, the demon of Gluttony, and rip him apart. For our good deeds, Thauzand gives us the Cape of Light, and Urbeth becomes balanced between commerce, and faith. We then move to Arbor. Torte, once a human rather than the rat we know him as, releases Belphegor, the demon of sloth, or ass to ass, in order to obtain the super OP spell Lux. His punishment is being turned into a mouse, and he is the catalyst for the Arbor Queen’s distaste towards humans. Belphagor attempts to posses Aebaroc to destroy Arbor. Originally, Belphagor wins, but our time warp intervention prevents it. But not before he fucks you over, and over, and over, and over again. With Belfaggot dead, we receive the spell Lux; and my god is it useful. Now we turn to Invidia, home of the Ruskies. We help the daughter of Rekoteh, and journey to the Sun Temple to defeat Mammon, the demon of greed. Once we return to the village, spring finally arrives, and we are awarded with the Armor of Light. We also visit Spelvia in the past, and save Rolan from the darkness. We dive into his soul, and defeat Lucifer himfuckingself, the demon of pride, and free Rolan’s soul. He awards us with the Sword of Light. We finally make it back to Horne, who is suffering a drought. This extreme situation called for extreme measures, and the town voted to ask the witch Louhi for help. This is also, oddly, the day of Aire’s birth. Her father agrees to give her away to break the seal on the legendary black magic. Our defiance of the deal by saving Aire, and killing Louhi, caused the curse in the first place. We eventually use the lamp of truth to question the shitlord king of this place, and find out that he’s Satan, demon of wrath. Brandt’s parrot shows up, and reveals himself as the actual mayor. This is when we find out that we were played in the beginning, and serving evil. The king thanks us, and gives us the overpowered black magic Desolator. Once our for heroe’s have the weapons of light, they use Cletus to enter the Dark World, and not the one from that crap Thor movie, either. We, of fucking course, lose all of our jobs, and have to earn them back by defeating all the douche bosses that the game offered; first and foremost are Assdemon and Belfaggot. This is a very similar idea to FFVIII’s final dungeon, tbh. We then face off against Chaos, who shatters our job creating crystal, and still loses to us. But again, not after making me spend hour after hour journeying to fight him again and again. We then embark on our world tour, returning the sacred weapons. Everything is good to go, and we finally return home.

In this episode, The ABXY Mage and The Well-Red Mage talk about different ways to pronounce various video game names, places, beasts, etc. They start with a simple example of Mar-ee-o vs. Mary-o and how location can determine how you pronounce different terms. Then, they move on to voice acting and how some people still manage to mispronounce words that are said, out loud, in games. They touch on the occasional instance when voice acting, years later, can betray what you were so sure was the correct pronunciation, which (unsurprisingly) leads to another Tidus vs. Teedus argument from Red.That argument then segues into ABXY's similar argument about the pronunciation of Ivalice from Final Fantasy Tactics and Final Fantasy XII. They then debate the difference between the Tidus and Ivalice arguments. Finally moving on, they get into Final Fantasy IV characters, EarthBound, YouTube inaccuracies, Final Fantasy VII, more EarthBound, and then more Final Fantasy VII. As you may--by now--expect, this is only the first part of the conversation.Check us out on The Well-Red Mage!

Last week was the week of trials. Both Wilm and Mini cleared the chamber of arms and talk a little about some of the battles, rewards, and experiences. Speaking of battles, Dark Golem and Dark Shiva are here and they are HARD. But they do come with some nice rewards if you can clear them (looking at you Shiva’s Tiara). If that’s a little too tough for you right now, we also got “Desert Despair”, the difficult battle for the Xenogears colab where you get to fight Weltall-ID. And by fight I mean you get to flick it with your finger and knock it out, this one is easy. Now that we’ve over come the trials, we can talk about the new Final Fantasy Tactics event Nelveska Temple. King Mog is sending us back to Ivalice to farm some Blue Orbs in exchange for some goodies. But I think most people are excited because we’re getting four new Final Fantasy Tactics units: Construct 8 - the adorable killing machine, Reis, the adorable and sparkly Holy Dragon, Beowulf, the Dragon fu—.. ahem, Dragon lover… AND finally High Seraph Ultima – the MP devouring, enemy murdering, head-wing having killing machine (imagine how scary she’d be if she wasn’t high). Ultima Final Fantasy | The Ultimate Final Fantasy Podcast

Development - Final Fantasy Tactics Advance is a tactical role playing game developed and published by Square Co for the Nintendo Advance. Released on February 14, 2003 in Japan and September 8, 2003 in the US. It was also released on the Wii-U Virtual Console on January 28, 2016 for Europe, and on March 30, 2016 for US and Japan, but you would have to be one of the thirteen people who had bought a Wii-U by that time. The game isn’t a direct sequel to Final Fantasy Tactics, which is something neither of us knew coming in. It does share several themes and gameplay traits, while bringing a few new ones to the table as well. The game’s development began when Square announced it’s publishing agreement with Nintendo. Advance was developed by recently acquired employees of Quest Corporation. You may recognize them from the famous Tactics Ogre series. The game was initially thought to be a port of Tactics, but features a completely separate storyline. Japan players received a radio drama that broadcast an expansion to the story on Japanese radio stations from January 2003 to late March 2003. The game was mainly scored by Hitoshi Sakimoto, Kaori Ohkoshi and Ayako Saso. You’ll remember Sakimoto from Final Fantasy XII, Tactics Ogre, and Vagrant Story; oh, and a little game called Revenant Wings. The game’s soundtrack was made purchasable on February 19, 2003, and features a whopping 74 tracks. Tactics Advance has sold more than one million copies between NA and Europe, and netted Square 22 million dollars by August 2006. The game received positive reviews, and has an 87.64 percent on Metacritic. It is hailed as one of the best games on the Gameboy Advance.   Setting/Story - Final Fantasy Tactics Advance centers around four children, named Marche, Mewt, Ritz, and Doned, who live in a town called St. Ivalice. They are transported to a realm called Ivalice after discovering a magical tome. The story follows Marche as he navigates the dream world of his friends Ritz Malheur and Mewt Randell. Let me repeat that; You follow TWO PEOPLE’S BAD SUSHI DREAMS AT ONCE. Your little brother Doned is also here, and I always voiced him as Jimmy from South Park whenever he was on screen due to his wheelchair. Good times. Mewt is basically scarred from the death of his mother, and upon having a bad bit of curry from his local Indian Restaraunt, changes the world for his friends upon reading the aforementioned book. Ritz is a platinum blonde who absolutely hates being called blondy locks or whatever. Your younger brother is also a super large fan of Final Fantasy, which is super meta and something the game suffers for in my opinion. Fantasy Ivalice is a reincarnation of Mewt’s memories from a Final Fantasy game. Marche wakes up alone, and begins his quest for home posthaste. He eventually realizes that life is way better managing a war tribe known as Clan Centurion, but is still longing for home. Marche soon realizes that his entire town has been dragged into this new world which is dominated by adventuring clans and his buddy Mewt, who has somehow managed to become king. (His dream, but come on).  Mewt isn’t teased like he is in real life, Ritz isn’t an albino, Doned is still Jimmy/Timmy but he can walk, and Marche is a beast. Cid, Mewt’s Father, is the Judge Master of the region. Marche then sets out to destroy the crystals that bound this imaginary world together. These crystals are bound by summons called Totema, and feature unique battles to defeat. One of the final bosses, named Llednar Twem, is an actual manifestation of all of Mewt’s Negative Emotions, or Recessive Genes if you’re a fan of Metal Gear Solid. In the end, we find out that Mewt’s mother is really Li-Grim, which comes from the book they had read that later manifested itself as Mewt’s mother, Queen Remedi. Apparently there are a couple side plots, one including a foreign crime ring and another where Marche never leaves Ivalice and becomes the next in line for Judge Magister Cid’s sword.

Ultima Final Fantasy | The Ultimate Final Fantasy Podcast

Spotlight: Yasumi Matsuno   Now that we’ve officially in the Tactics run of the Ivalice era, I figured that now would be a good time to shine a little light on a huge force behind the scenes of the Tactics games: Video Game Designer, Director, and Producer, one with an absolutely stellar career: Yasumi Matsuno.   Yasumi Matsuno was born October 24th, 1965 in Myoko, in the Niigata Prefecture of Japan. Growing up in a rural environment, Matsuno claims that he was very isolated as a child. Thus, nearly all of his time was spent in front of television screens, reading books, and practicing the very specific hobby of creating dioramas, especially those based on World War 2. Oddly enough, quite the indoor kid considering that he grew up in the countryside.   His had his first video game experiences as a high schooler, playing one of two arcade games at the local train station. One was PacMan, a game I’m sure we’re all familiar with, and the other was a game called “Xevius”, a vertically scrolling shooter war game where you take on the role of a combat airplane.   Matsuno wanted to become a writer for either books or movies, but he decided to do the smart thing and go to college and study Foreign Policy.  Finding his studies unfulfilling, he dropped out of school after 3 years to pursue his dreams. He did manage to get a writing gig as an economic reporter, but he wanted something more creative. A fan of the games Ultima Online, Dragon Quest, and The Legend of Zelda, he tried to land a writing job at a gaming company. Incredibly good at getting jobs, Matsuno landed a lead “Planner” position at a game developer called “Quest”.   The first game he did “planning” for was for the NES game “Conquest of the Crystal Palace”, not much is known about this game’s development, except that this was the first time Matsuno and his later partner in crime, composer Masaharu Iwata, began working together.   Moving up to a director position at Quest, Matsuno pitched a Fantasy RPG strategy game that would be put out on the new SNES. Borrowing strategy, fantasy, and Active-Time elements from the games “Nobunaga’s Ambition”, “Daisenryaku”, and “Master of Monsters”, game would come to be known as “Ogre Battle: The March of the Black Queen”. If I were to describe the gameplay to a Final Fantasy player, it would be Final Fantasy Tactics, but with a much simpler map. A couple interesting facts about the game: the North American Edition of the SNES version is considered one of the rarest games of all time since only 5000 copies were ever shipped. Another odd fact: Ogre Battle was a Queen song, and also Queen’s name is used in The “March of the Black Queen” part of the title. Basically, Matsuno is a huge fan of Queen and refers to them often in his games.   After the success of Ogre Battle, Matsuno would get to work on a sequel, changing the gameplay in drastic ways, focusing more on intimate battles, and making the world a 3D one. Behold the awkwardly titled “Tactics Ogre: Let Us Cling Together”. Now Ogre Battle was pretty much FF Tactics, but this, if you’ve seen screenshots of it, was almost exactly the same game, but with a tragic multi-branching storyline inspired by the Bosnian Genocide.   Tactics Ogre was an extremely popular game, with RPG Gamer calling it “forever [...] a masterpiece”.   Oh, and “Let Us Cling Together” is a Queen song.   Not one to stay anywhere for very long, in 1995 Yasumi Matsuno quit “Quest” to move to the big leagues. He would get a job at Square Soft, getting to work on a game very, very, very, similar to Tactics Ogre, a game called…   ...Bahamut Lagoon.   ...Which would later have the Final Fantasy name slapped on it in the form of “Final Fantasy Tactics”.   Tactics, of course, would turn out to be legendary. As in hearing people tell us to get to tactics is a legendary pain in the ass. That’s how popular the game has become.   Creating the Ivalice Universe, Matsuno would stretch his strategic and tactical game design skills in the loosely-related Vagrant Story. Inspired by architecture from France, nearly canceled due to it’s size, it released in 2000, and would be a smash hit, and earn the coveted 40/40 from Famitsu Magazine.   Next he would oversee Final Fantasy Tactics Advanced in a producer role, and also help out with the horrible PlayOnline Function on FFXI, but his next big gig would be as co-director (along with Hiroyuki Ito) of a little PS2 game called “Final Fantasy XII”.   FF12’s development history is insane and I’m not gonna get into it here, but Matsuno was one of the people deeply upset by Hironobu Sakaguchi’s messy departure from Square-Enix, and quit square officially over “illness”, which may or may not be true, we talk about that on the FF12 review I think.   Since 2006, Matsuno has been a free man, a freelance game that many companies have clamored for. He wrote the super-violent Wii game “Madworld”, as well as the 3DS game “Crimson Shroud”. He was asked to help write another Tactics Ogre Game, and even worked with Hironobu Sakaguchi on his mobile title “Terra Battle”.   Currently he’s working on two games for Mobile Platforms, “Unsung Story” and Lost Order”.   In conclusion, for those guys who think that the greatest Final Fantasy game of all time is Tactics, you know who to thank. Matsuno is one of those game Directors who truly has a unique style. Way to go, Matsuno

We bring this exhaustive Final Fantasy retrospective to a close! And how! From the childlike characters of Final Fantasy IX to the strangely serious Final Fantasy XII, with a little Tidus, Yuna, JPOP, and Charlie's Angels all thrown in!Final Fantasy IX brings a sad dose of agreement among Johnny and Max. Yeah, it's more fun when we disagree, but neither of us have any great love for the game. It's not a bad game, just has a slightly off-putting art style. It harkens back to the look of the sprites in the NES era, but gives them a slight tinge of "Tender Moments". And as for bears, well, you've got the Liotta-like Steiner, and... Baku. If you don't mind a pig nose and some sort of mouse ears. Sadly, though, it's hard to find anything really hot when it's done in that art style, that continued into the DS remakes and Crystal Chronicles series.Final Fantasy X makes Max angry, while Johnny just is ambivalent. It's got a different soundtrack, and charted a course that the last eight years of JRPGs have followed with both graphics and presentation. Oh, yeah, and Fry from Futurama is Tidus. Or Herbie. And it's a fairly bear-free zone, unless you like Auron, Wakka, or Kimahri, all of whom aren't quite in the bear category. Though some of the Besaid Aurochs do actually qualify, specifically Keepa and the one with the goatee. Oh, and the Al Bhed.If you want arguments, Final Fantasy X-2 is sure to satisfy. Is it a disgusting rip-off, recycling two year old assets into a weird, insulting Charlie's Angels knockoff with bad J-Pop? Or is it a fast paced, light-hearted, and musical journey? Depends on who you ask. But you don't have to look to hard to see some gayness between the effeminate Logos and Ormi. And all those guys we mentioned above are back. Finally, FINALLY, we look at Final Fantasy XII, and... don't really find much to talk about. There's Vossler, and Cid, and... Baasch, but all those seem like reaching. Everyone is super slim. It is kind of neat that it takes place in a semi-persistant world of Ivalice, previously seen in the Tactics games, as well as Vagrant Story.So... what's next? Johnny and Robbie are gonna take on something big, hairy, and burly for the Bears In Games 1st Anniversary Special!
