Oh dear. This one broke Rob. Ben valiantly defends Kevin Smith's latest Askewniverse offering, Jay & Silent Bob:Reboot in the face of frankly irrational anger from his co-host. Featuring almost every actor and running joke from Smith's entire directing career, is this one movie too many or a loving send-off? CONSUME and find out.
*Re broadcast from 2013 Cloverleaf Radio's hosts The Host with the Most Jimmy Falcon and Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling's Gremlina welcome Actress Marilyn Ghigliotti to the show! Marilyn Ghigliotti (born August 10, 1961) is an American actress, best known for playing Veronica Loughran in Clerks. Clerks director Kevin Smith cast her for her ability to cry while doing a monologue for the audition. After high school, she earned her beautician license to do make-up and hair professionally. She worked at hair salons and later entered acting. Both of her parents are from Puerto Rico. She performed in community theater in the New Jersey area. Since moving to Los Angeles in 1998, aside from her acting work, Ghigliotti works as a make-up artist in the TV/film industry as well as side work as a wedding stylist. Nuova retrospettiva, Nuovo regista.

Ok so this movie hasn't been out for very long, but there was a chance that Colin would never watch it despite his love for Kevin Smith's films. Welcome into our Cagetastic filled 6th episode. For this installment we dip our toes into the more eclectic roles from Mr. Cage's storied career, one's a classic and one not so much. First up is one of the Coen Brother's early masterpieces and the dawn of Nic's acting brilliance, Raising Arizona (1987). This comedic crime film introduces us to the whacky world of the Coen Brother's and one of Mr. Cage's first truly memorable characters, the live action version of Woody Woodpecker, H.I. McDunnough. It was our first real taste of not only his comedic timing and supreme acting chops but also of his stellar narration skills. Our second film finds Mr. Cage having to put the majority of the cast on his back and drag them through this poor man's wannabe David Lynch film entitled Between Worlds (2018). It's a supernatural thriller that allows for Nic to stretch his wings and have some fun with the ridiculous plot and terribly one note cast. However it does give us some of his best one liners, a ridiculous water fight scene and shows us why he doesn't do many sex scenes. Along the way we'll discuss what attracts Mr. Cage to unhinged roles, baby drama on the set of Raising Arizona, why he probably shouldn't ever do sex scenes in movies again and if the Tin Man in fact does have a sheet metal cock. Clip from: Gone In 60 Seconds, Deadfall, Panasonic, The Golden Globes, Iliza Shlesinger Sketch Show, Stephen Paul Taylor, Whitney Houston, Matchstick Men, Leaving Las Vegas, Bad Lieutenant: Port of Call, Color Out of Space, East of Eden, Sympathy, Raising Arizona, Fargo, No Country For Old Men, The Big Lebowski, True Grit, The Apprentice, Once Upon A Time In Hollywood, Field of Dreams, Woody Woodpecker, Remix God Suede, Between Worlds, Falsely Accused, Jimi Hendrix, Con Air, Twin Peaks, USS Indianapolis, 3 From Hell, 31, Jay & Silent Bob Reboot, CBS Nightly News, Nickelback, Lynard Skynard, Richard Cheese, Kid Rock, If/Then Broadway Musical, Aqua Teen Hunger Force, Reservoir Dogs, Ghost Rider, The Who & Lord of War. --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/NobodyPutsNicInACage/message

As we provide our longest episode yet somehow, given the length of time since our last proper episode, the guys break down so much news while breaking their promises to try and stay to about a minute per item. However, the connections are not tenuous as the guys look at recent celebrities to have passed away, missed casting chances for others, more on The Matrix sequel, our monthly update on who isn't directing Uncharted now, numerous Bad Boys bits, and info on numerous sequels or remakes to films like Mallrats, Evil Dead, Saw, Edge of Tomorrow, Little Shop of Horrors, Transformers, The Thing, Lethal Weapon, Expendables, Jackass, Ghostbusters, James Bond, Star Trek, Mission Impossible, Jurassic Park/World and GI Joe. Whew! But how could we also miss our usual Disney news, Marvel and DC, and Star Wars also! But more on Cats, the Superbowl - rather the commercials and trailers within, Netflix and Amazon shows, and much, much, more. Plus all the recent trailers including A Quiet Place: Part II, The New Mutants, Bloodshot, Morbius, Guns Akimbo, Vivarium, and Fast and Furious 9 - or rather F9: The Fast Saga - among others. On the reviews side, we talk about Jumanji: The Next Level, Spies in Disguise, 1917, Jay & Silent Bob Reboot, Bombshell, Underwater and are joined by a very special guest to talk about The Gentlemen.Sadly due to us running way over on this episode, we haven't recorded a game for this episode, but we are calling in a better director and editor for the next episode to make sure we don't run overtime for number 14! Until then, please enjoy this bumper episode, however! Please like, subscribe, share and enjoy! As always thanks to Martin (Rammy) for his wonderful work on our graphics, www.rammy.at

Tim and Todd are back with another deep dive into one of their favorite geek topics, Battlestar Galactica! In this episode, we'll be talking about our favorite episodes from the second half of season 3 with some slight detours into Westworld, professional wrestling, and the films of Spike Lee. Strap yourself into your Viper, grab your headphones, and get ready for launch! LINKS OF INTEREST:- Our apologies once again to Tahmoh Pennikett for one of us spacing on his name... again. - The actor who played Da Mayor in Do The Right Thing was the wonderful Ossie Davis. Interesting bit of trivia, Ossie was co-starred in one of the most oddly heartwarming movies Todd has watched, Bubba Ho-Tep, where he joins forces with Bruce Campbell (playing a geriatric Elvis Presley) as they fight back against an Egyptian mummy come back from the dead. And yes, it's just as delightfully weird as it sounds. - The actor who played the doctor in "The Woman King" and Senator Kelly in X-Men and X2: X-Men United? That'd be the prolific Bruce Davison, who's acted in 268 films to date, including James Maine in Titanic 2. For those of you who didn't know they made a sequel to Titanic... they didn't, it's just as bad as you'd think it'd be, and you're welcome. AND ANOTHER THING:- TIM: The sixth season of Silicon Valley which is currently streaming on HBO GO.- TODD: The Reboot Roadshow with Kevin Smith and Jason Mewes or just check out Jay & Silent Bob Reboot at your local theater. Here's the red band trailer, so be forewarned that there's a dump truck full of bad language and objectionable material to follow. Enjoy! Here it is - the full and unexpurgated (well, a little expurgated) recording of the time a couple of weeks ago when Kevin Smith chose to spend his morning off in London, following a successful live Hollywood Babble-On show at The O2, by coming into the Empire Podbooth to have a good old natter with Chris Hewitt and Ben Travis. The first thirteen minutes of this ran on the Empire Podcast a couple of weeks ago, so if you want to get to the new stuff, skip past that. Otherwise, this is nearly 47 minutes of no-holds-barred chat, and typically sweary chat, with Smith, in which he discusses his life, career, his upcoming movie, Jay & Silent Bob Reboot, that Stan Lee cameo in Captain Marvel, Avengers: Endgame and, of course, the heart attack that so nearly killed him last year. We're glad it didn't. Not just because we had a blast with him as he popped his Empire podcherry, but because the world's a better place for having Kevin Smith in it. We hope you enjoy.
We discuss the latest comic book news in our own roundtable fashion

Back in 2017 Kevin Smith announced that he was working on a reboot of sorts for the Jay and Silent Bob characters that are found in many of his films, and now it seems like further progress is being made in the creation of that film. Smith posted to Twitter a photo of a "pre-pre-production" meeting for the film on January 1st. Let's discuss the proposed plot of the film, and whether or not Jay and Silent Bob still work as characters in 2019.
