In today’s episode, we start off by chatting about the importance of making a great demo reel. Whether it’s a montage or in some other format - it is the first impression people will get of you and your skillset and interests. We chat about what we look for when reviewing reels for job applications and what you should spend extra time on to make sure you don’t blow it in the first few seconds of your demo reel. We also dive into a demo reel submitted to us by one of our listeners and make improvements to it in After Effects in real-time. Listen along to find out which changes we felt were necessary to improve John McKinney’s demo reel submission. Maybe you could make some of the same changes to take your demo to the next level. A welcome return into 2021, after our end of the year 2020 episode we start with a look back into a couple of questions from last time with a discussion on who actually does die the most in films if its not Sean Bean, and answering Ryan's question on how Donald Trump did end up in The Little Rascals film in the 1990s. We spend a length of time discussing all 22 billion dollars worth of content Disney dumped out plans for in December for the next few years. We cover the Star content being added to Disney Plus with Fox, ABC, and other content arriving. We talk through the dozen or so Star Wars Disney Plus shows and the expansion to the ILM Stagecraft Studios they have used in The Mandolorian. We talk LucasFIlm's content including Willow, more or last Indiana Jones, Patty Jenkins Rogue Squadron film,  and then all the stuff Disney is putting both TV and Film to Disney Plus, including live-action, Animation, and Pixar, We then finish up with all their Marvel content too! After all that stuff, we talk Wonder Woman box office and viewing numbers on HBO Max, plus the fast tracked third film. Following the HBO Max dramas, we look at director and actors comments on HBO max, as well as the Mortal Komabt movies' date change, and the announcement of an Alien franchise series. We discuss more regarding AMC's issues and the future of cinema, as well as the loss of the last franchise Video stores in the US -  Family Video. Some months ago we talked Lost City of D, now it appears it will be without Ryan Reynolds, before moving onto Netflix productions from the UK including Man Vs Bee with Rowan Atkinson. The annual update to the US Film Registry includes things like Blues Brothers, Dark Knight, and... uhhh... somehow Shrek. We talk there release date for Mad Max Furiousa, the internet loving Tom Cruise covid rant recording on the set of Mission Impossible, possibly buying MGM for $5.5 billion, the new Revenge of the Nerds and the Return of Night Court, and finish out talking about Jackass actors in hospital on day 2 of their fourth film and if we really want to see them do this to themselves in old age. We farewell Tommy Lister, Jeremy Bulloch, Dawn Wells, Marion Ramsey, Michael Apted, and Tanya Roberts before touching on a few trailers for Nobody, The Little Things, and Coming 2 America. We round out the episode with retro reviews of Karate Kid 2 and 3 from Ryan so that we could watch and discuss Cobra Kai season 3 for you all, before sitting down to have a proper round of chat regarding Wonder Woman 1984. Was it better or worse than the original to us, you'll have to listen to find out. Please like, subscribe, share and enjoy! Another year has concluded, and what a strange year it has been to be talking about cinema... or the lack thereof... for almost most of the year. In this shorter than average episode year review, the guys sit down to talk briefly about COVID's impact and the future of cinema and streaming.Beyond that we discuss topics from the year including fan-requested film recuts in the light of Zach Snyder's Justice League, Rob's continuing lack of enthusiasm for Christopher Nolan, and then get into the ideas of what needs to be done for the future of awards shows like the Oscars and Emmy awards. Chris Colombus' words about pointlessly remaking films gets Rob fired up in agreement, with the guys both looking at flogging the dead old horse of pointless remakes they've been going on about all year. And finally, the conclusion of the episode finishes with Highlights and Lowlights of the year, including Tenet and the Cinema Experience, Mulan, SuperHero films, Disney Plus, and Cobra Kai. Welcome back to the last episode of 2020, a year that has not been what anyone ever expected and a time where it was hard to have new movies to talk about when nothing basically opened in cinemas for most of the year! However it has not stopped us from finding plenty of news to talk about, and this is no different in our most recent episode! And as a bonus in between are plenty of asides and random rambles, including Ryan's plans on how he will make money from his burger idea! It will all make sense when you hear it! After a couple of follow-ups to Episode 21, we talk about Alan Rickman's diaries, rebooting Short Circuit, another Predator sequel, and a Hollywood Toxic Avenger film with Peter Dinklage! The guys discuss what it means when the Space Jam sequel isn't supposedly an actual sequel according to LeBron James before Ryan ponders the world of the Donald Trump cameo when the explanation for why he was in Home Alone 2 is discussed again. One of the guys biggest issues about over expanding your media multiverse before it grows naturally comes up time and time again this episode, first with plans to make several films in the Kingsman franchise and the Russo brothers future for the Extraction film franchise... which Rob expects will become Extractions because it sounds funny. Coming 2 America has been pushed back 4 Amazon, Phil Lord and Chris Miller are taking on Universal Monsters, and we ponder the reasons as to why the 5th Scream film is just called... Scream. "The Stath" as Rob calls him has a new job with Audrey Plaza, Ryan Reynolds is up to his usual tricks, and we talk giant observatories, monoliths, and German wooden penis statues for some strange reason. The still fake-looking shark from Jaws is now hanging up in the soon to be opened Academy Motion Pictures museum in LA, we talk stunt driving in Mission Impossible, Rick Moranis, Elliot Page, Pink Panther, and a possible video game James Bond series. More game news follows with updates on Sonic The Hedgehog 2, HBO's Last Of Us, Metal Gear Solid, Monster Hunter, and Resident Evil.As we recorded the night before the Disney investor's meeting, we missed out on all the news but took some time to throw out some wild theories on what could appear - some we got right, some missed the mark. But we touch on the live action Disney films, as well as Star Wars and Marvel content including some updates already announced or rumored like Black Panther 2, Chris Pratt in the next Thor, the Hawkeye Disney Plus series, the return of Alfred Molina, and others to Spider-man and Deadpool 3. We also cover numerous DC news after including the branding of the TV universe, the extra cast added to James Gunn's Suicide Squad film, and other Justice League related nonsense. We then tackle last month's bombshell HBO Max/Warner Bros announcement, and all the backlash surrounding that by filmmakers and others in the industry. We finish out the episode with the monthly In Memorium section, look at teaser and trailers for Clifford The Big Red Dog, Tom And Jerry, The Godfather Coda, docos The Baby God and Bee Gees: How Can You Mend A Broken Heart, Chaos Walking, and Cobra Kai Season 3, and reviews on Freaky, the Fresh Prince Reunion, and the LEGO Star Wars Holiday Special! Episode 21 is here finally for your listening pleasure, as the guys sit down once again to talk about all the recent news and other events you probably haven't been paying much attention to. We catch up on stories from the last episode, including how successful Cobra Kai has been, the release of Soul on Disney Plus, the woes of the AMC cinema chain in the US, She-Hulk casting, Mark Wahlberg's fake mustache, Borat, and Fast and Furious. We talk about how successful Tenet really was, what nostalgia means to Charlie Brown fans, the Boston news anchor that was fired for being in an Adam Sandler comedy, and casting news including the next Mad Max film, a reteaming plan for Ryan Reynolds and Sandra Bullock, and a brand new Assassins Creed Netflix series.Did you know The Meg was based on a book? We didn't until now, but we talk about them announcing a sequel to be based on one of the several book follow ups and if Jason Statham can punch a shark in the face this time. Patrick Wilson has lined up to direct the next Insidious film, troubles with Olivia Wilde's latest film, what Ron Howard thinks the chances of more Han Solo films, and Ewan McGregor's plans for next year with Obi-Wan. Rob still thinks parents should be educating their kids about content than expecting Disney to have to do it for them, while Disney plans to revisit Willow also make the boys wonder if there is an audience after the failure of the Dark Crystal series on Netflix. We talk drama with Fantastic Beasts, The Witches, and Austin Powers. Kate Winslet's amazing unknown skills, Jurassic World Dominion's wrap, Ghostbusters Lego reveals, Die Hard Batteries and Bruce Willis, and TV news surrounding Zachary Ty Brien and Wentworth Miller. The return of The Scorpion King, The Matrix, Power Rangers, and the 1990 film versions of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles all feature as well.An episode can't go by without a comic discussion, so talk about DC and Marvel updates is on the cards again, as is a talk about Andy Samberg's new film Super High... which as you'd guess is about superheroes getting their power from smoking weed. We then move onto recently departed stars, including Conchata Ferrell, Elsa Raven, Alex Trebeck, Ken Spears, and the great Sir Sean Connery. We round out the episode finally looking at a small number of covid changes, new trailers including Monster Hunter, Songbird, Soul, and the Star Wars Holiday Special before a retro review of The Karate Kid wraps up another bumper episode. Welcome back for our massive 20th episode! After catching up on a few updates since the last episode surrounding how to say Stahelski, and Star Trek's future, the guys decide if Fast and Furious should go to space and if the 10th film should be called "FAST10 Your Seatbelts." We talk about future movies for actors Neve Campbell, Ryan Gosling, and directors David Leitch, and M. Night. The need for a Borat sequel nearly 15 years after the last movie, pointless prequels to Disney "live action films" no one wants, and more remakes, reboots, and retakes including Firestarter, Fresh Prince, Conan, and the sequels to Avatar that will arrive eventually. We somehow ended up with a month of video game related stories all at once, including news on the Tomb Raider sequel with Alica Vikander, the return of Mortal Kombat's actors in a surprising possible way, Sega's Yakuza, more Resident Evil with a newly announced live action film and new CG Netflix show - different than the other live action Netflix show, Paul W.S. Anderson's new Monster Hunter movie that Ryan thinks is just Resident Evil again, and the disappointing lack of a mustache on Mark Wahlberg in Uncharted. Tom Cruise appears again, both in regards to him and director Doug Liman being booked to head to the ISS next year and later in the discussion, all about the mad stunts Cruise and the team on the new MI films are doing. We discuss the Emmys that no one watched, Sam Elliot and Jared Padalecki casting in new roles, and several Disney Plus shows with Samuel L Jackson's Nick Fury, plus She Hulk, Ms. Marvel, Falcon & The Winter Solider, and Loki all being talking points. Plus updates on the insect heroes Ant Man and Spider-man. Speaking of heroes, Chris Evans has tough words about whoever punched Rick Moranis in New York, while Ryan Reynolds has thoughts on this also as well as Dwayne Johnson's gate before we look into the DC updates including Ryan's favorite topic of Zack Snyder's Justice League (which Rob would like Zack Snyder to blow up also). The guys consider if Fantastic Beasts should end at the third film, numerous delays, and cancellations of productions - mostly due to the continuing covid production issues, plus yet another month's worth of delays to release dates films and when they're now all scheduled to arrive. We look at Cineworld/Regal closing for the rest of the year, but more interestingly what this has all meant for all the corn and peanuts for movie theaters and sporting events. After the covid content, we touch on the in memoriam section, and then follow up with trailer talk including WandaVision, The Mandolorian Season 2, Dune... or is it Doon, Borat 2, Hubie Halloween, Freaky, The Witches, The Craft: Legacy, Totally Under Control, Belushi, The 365, and Free Guy. Finally, the guys wrap up this massive episode with talk about visiting the cinemas again to see Bill and Ted Face The Music (as well as seeing movies in an otherwise empty theater) and a good discussion on the Karate Kid follow up, formerly YouTube Red now on Neflix series, Cobra Kai. Please like, subscribe, share, and enjoy! And as always many thanks to Martin (Rammy) for his wonderful work on our graphics, www.rammy.atWe end the episode with a lengthy discussion on Tenet, which Ryan in particular almost hasn't stopped thinking about since he saw it. Christopher Nolan's latest is something that warrants large discussion, both on the front of its content but also Warner Brothers' intention to have this be the thing people would be going back to cinemas for. Is it the most Nolan'y of Nolan films? How does the inversion idea work? And is the sound mix still not great like other films of his? Tune in and find out.Coronavirus features as it has every month for what now feels like several years, as we talk about more cases, the impact on more films both being filmed and those being released, and Tom Cruise trying to convince everyone to go back to the cinemas. Ryan has another dip into the Toy Box - which still needs a theme tune - and we look at several trailers including the newest James Bond trailer, The Comeback Trail - with three Oscar winners and Zach Braff, Sofia Coppola's On The Rocks, Death on the Nile, and a more detailed look at the DC trailers from Fandome.  The Toon Squad gear has been revealed for the Space Jam sequel we think no one asked for, Ryan is hyped for when he will get to see more Mandolorian, and as always more Star Wars news is touched on. Marvel and DC have their usual section and we spend our time looking at all the DC Fandome announcements in particular. Moving towards movie news, we talk Ryan Reynold's take over of Netflix, more on Scream 5, Matrix 4, and Jurassic World 3, and Jason Statham on reteaming on two film jobs with Guy Ritchie. We talk about sleeping in a Blockbuster, a recut version of Godfather Part 3, and touch on the directions Paramount is considering for the future of Star Trek. There are remakes and reboots as always too, including Troop Beverly Hills, a Resident Evil Netflix series, The Thing, Powerpuff Girls, Three Men and a Baby, Tron, and Rob gets annoyed over the idea of remaking Planes, Trains, And Automobiles (for the second time if you count Due Date). We arrive into Episode 19, and we certainly have to start with a sad month of large profile celebrity deaths, with the shocking announcement of Chadwick Boseman, in particular, being a very sad surprise to all. But some also not as well known ones during the last few weeks, including Ben Cross, Arnold Spielberg, and Linda Hamilton's sister Leslie.

Episode 18 finally makes its way online after numerous delays and complicated issues. Recorded just days before New Zealand went back into a partial lockdown, Ryan and Rob are far too optimistic in hindsight about their chances of seeing some new movies - which probably isn't too surprising. However, with such a long time since their last catch up there is so much to talk about that this now is the longest episode yet! We dive into to some updates from the last episodes, cover numerous celeb deaths - some which have left us far too soon, discuss if Universal has won with 17 day release windows and the fact studios can now again own cinema chains in the USA without courtroom involvement. Comic book news dominates as it so often does, and we talk about how Disney Plus already exceeded its 5 year target member in 9 months while making even more live action cartoon films no one really seems to actually want. We think. Studios and company's keep repeating old ideas as new ones as Ren and Stimpy, Beavis and Butthead, and Knight Rider all get new takes announced. In a running trend of relevance, Netflix and action movies are striking up the viewers and Netflix has a plan for all their massive expensive celeb filled action movies for you. With coronavirus still rampant in the US, we look at how old movies are topping the box office at the drive ins still operating, the recent updates, changes, delays and movements all being caused, and updates with Jurassic World, Mission Impossible, Uncharted, The Batman, Bill and Ted, Mulan, and Tenet all being covered among many others. Oh, and Avatar delays again, now meaning we're in the Avatar business until at least 2028... 19 years after the first movie released. There is news on new announcements including a Vanilla Ice Biopic, more Edgar Wright films, Dirty Dancing sequels, the history of Fletch on the big screen, more Sonic the Hedgehog and Ryan and Rob look through more trailers than ever before with several New Zealand films in the mix and films even making their way out in the US trying to convince people to come back to the cinema already. And Liam Neeson's skills.  All this and more in this massive episode we hope you'll all enjoy. Please like, subscribe, share, and enjoy! In the latest episode we look at the industries attempts to move forward in the face of continuing Coronavirus, mostly in the UK, Europe, and here in New Zealand where movie shooting has begun again. We also look into the impact on film releases including when the chances are Tenet will be released and when cinemas can reopen properly in the US. And if Michael Bay's production company is exploiting the outbreak for their upcoming film Songbird. We talk Zach Snider's Justice League; Jamie Lee Curtis' directorial debut; David Leitch's high concept action movie Bullet Train and a high concept comedy with Awkwafina and Karen Gillan; Edgar Wright's new production company; sequels to Avatar, Chicken Run, Evil Dead, Pirates of the Caribbean, Attack the Block, Sonic the Hedgehog, Indiana Jones, Matrix, and Mission Impossible; and a return of Henry Cavill to Superman somewhere. Everything 90's is back as Scream is confirmed for the 5th sequel, another Princess Diana film, a reboot to Twister, and film versions of Animorphs and The Magic School Bus. Ryan has thoughts on McLeod's Daughters getting a movie, and what Temuera Morrison has been doing in lockdown. Cobra Kai moves to Netflix, both Jeffery Dean Morgan and Michael Keaton are in talks to return to the Batman franchise, JK Simmons talks Spider-man, Deborah Chow to move from Star Wars to Marvel after Obi Wan, and why is Evan Peters turning up in Wandavision for? Ryan has another Toy Box segment and looks at Lego Ideas sets for Seinfeld and Home Alone, as well as a figure of Dennis Nedry that comes in a can of Barbasol like the movie. Which leads us down the path of numerous Jurassic World news.We talk Bill and Ted and if the new movie will see cinema release, plus Alex Winter's child star documentary. Finally, we look at all the movie delays and event changes other than B&T3, talk some about the late Ian Holm and Joel Schumacher, and wrap with some trailers - including Netflix's The Old Guard, Train to Busan Presents Peninsula, Palm Springs, and The Kings' Man. Join us for the guys' latest special which, due to time restraints on the previous episode, has us talking about all the recent Star Wars news as well as all about our thoughts on the way the franchise is in its current state. We discuss the idea of cross-connections between various projects from animation to live-action, the point of making new movies with Taika Waititi's addition to new Star Wars films, and Ryan shows off his extreme fandom by putting Rob in his place about his lack of Star Wars knowledge. Rob does, however, take time to suggest an idea for another Disney Plus series they both agree they would be keen to see, they discuss what George Lucas should have done with Episode 3 which would have surprised people more than getting things to where they needed to be in 20 minutes, before going down the well-worn path of just how good or bad the recent trilogy and then ending up on a discussion of Yaddle, the not "female Yoda" being added to a new videogame. We hope you enjoy this one-off special and we will be back with a proper Episode 17 shortly! In this episode, our 16th, the boys sit down to talk about the extreme amount of news to come out in recent weeks as the film industry attempts to climb its way out of the coronavirus set delays and issues and make a plan for the coming months and years ahead. Before we get to that though, we follow up a conversation from the last episode and both pick what we think are 5 perfect films each, before looking at all the delays for Disney and its plans for more (possibly pointless) live-action remakes. Both Rob and Ryan talk excitedly about seeing Rick Moranis in the Disney Plus series Prop Culture, before moving on to discuss John Wick, Matrix and Saw sequels. Josh Gad gets a lot of chat this week for numerous reasons, non-more so than his reunion specials. Lego PSA's and Lego Movie ownership is talked about also, as well as more Mission Impossible updates.Spider-man movie changes make us question if peak superhero will be early to mid-2021, with 4 Marvel films in about 5 months due to rescheduling after coronavirus delays. We also discuss some upcoming Netflix films, Stallone willing Demolition Man 2 into life, Deadpool dramas, Avatar sequels and how to film motion capture underwater, and the link between James Cameron and Paul W.S. Anderson and the link between James Cameron and Tom Cruise shooting a film in space. As well as that idea too. We talk about how to get yourself into Bill and Ted and Jurassic World sequels, or rather how you could have, Tiger King casting ideas, a return for the Scream franchise, more Mad Max and more Transformers - in both live-action and animated forms. Ryan talks about Val Kilmer's Batman and why he only did one film. Rob gets giddy about how much of a pickle Seth Rogen's next film is, Ryan follows that up with how excited he is about the upcoming Space Force on Netflix. And the two discuss the situation of Universal vs Cinema Companies and the impact it has on both filmmakers and filmgoers. And to top it all off we cover numerous celeb news and finally explain who would like to throw a bag of dog poo at Donald Trump. It's not who or what you'd expect. In our latest episode, the guys spend an unsurprising amount of time talking about the continuing fallout of the Coronavirus and all of the changes to the film landscape for 2020. The entire Marvel franchise is shuffled and squeezed up, numerous more movies come to early digital home releases, and there is hardly a film not yet moved somewhere else except for 'Tenet' and ''Bill and Ted Face The Music' at this point. After talking about the films delayed, the guys spend a small amount about celebs with coronavirus and how important this info is to the public, plus sadly those who have been taken away from us from both the disease and other natural causes in recent weeks. Moving onto other news we look at the upcoming changes to Disney and Disney Plus, plus their absurd censorship of Darryl Hannah's now fur covered backside in Splash on the platform. We talk about James Gunn a lot, due to his constant awesome posts on twitter and also what people think are 5 perfect films due to him and other filmmakers inputs on the subject. We talk about Sam Raimi working on Dr. Strange and how he'd already foreshadowed the character before when dealing with Spider-man. Edgar Wright's next-next film based on an upcoming book, Rian Johnsons non-space movies, and the why and how Chris Farley was cast as Shrek before his death. Ryan also looks into why some films have certain scenes that only appear in random cuts after an extra scene is reported to appear in a Harry Potter film no one hardly remembers ever seeing. All this and much more news. We also spend a lot of time pondering the world of the stunt performers and how if no one values them enough in the public spotlight after the outcome of Olivia Jackson's lawsuit after her near-fatal accident on the set of Resident Evil: The Final Chapter. Where are the boundaries and why don't the Oscars have a technical stunt award category? With so many delays and just a few trailers to talk about the guys then review some recent screenings including Star Wars: The Clone Wars, Guns Akimbo, Sonic The Hedgehog, Bad Boys For Life, Bloodshot, a retro screening of Midnight Run, and Ryan's better half, Ann, joins us to talk about Lady Bird in the lead up to her watching the most recent Little Women film. Finally, as almost always, the guys sit down for another round of 'Films... but badly' - and Ryan almost gets an upset with one of his craftiest ideas yet. Welcome along to our lockdown episode, as the guys put on their hazmat suits to sit across the table from each other to talk about both the latest news, especially the delays - the so many delays - to various productions and film releases. After some updates since Episode 13, the guys talk about their usual episodic Uncharted film update, before diving head first into all of the production delays to films including such titles as The Matrix, Little Mermaid, Jurassic World, and Mission Impossible along with dozens more. We talk about what Disney, Netflix, and Amazon are doing in the face of production shutdowns, the recent releases that have been given early digital releases, and then move onto all the films delayed at time of recording and the actors caught up in Covid-19. Once we get past all of this we look at other recent news including casting updates on Jurassic World 3, Shrunk! - the next Honey I Shrunk The Kids sequel which has Ryan and Rob both excited, the outcome of the Oscars which we hadn't gotten to in the last episode, Snake Eyes, Borderlands, Knives Out sequels, Bond, West Side Story, Indiana Jones 5, Creed 3, Clue, Scream, Last of Us, and touch on our usual visits to the various comic universes of both DC and Marvel. We look at the trailers for Spiral, Black Widow, Soul, Greyhound, and The Iron Mask - all seemingly now delayed, and Rob sits down to talk about 3 films he saw before the cinemas shut up shop for a while with Parasite, Birds of Prey, and The Invisible Man. Finally, as we so often do, we finish out with yet another new round of "Films but... Badly." However, the connections are not tenuous as the guys look at recent celebrities to have passed away, missed casting chances for others, more on The Matrix sequel, our monthly update on who isn't directing Uncharted now, numerous Bad Boys bits, and info on numerous sequels or remakes to films like Mallrats, Evil Dead, Saw, Edge of Tomorrow, Little Shop of Horrors, Transformers, The Thing, Lethal Weapon, Expendables, Jackass, Ghostbusters, James Bond, Star Trek, Mission Impossible, Jurassic Park/World and GI Joe. Whew! But how could we also miss our usual Disney news, Marvel and DC, and Star Wars also! For the 12th episode, recorded the day after the guys went to see the new Star Wars, we spend time catching up on movies pushed back, clashing, sequels, remade and rebooted. Godzilla, Home Alone, Honey I Shrunk The Kids, The Dirty Dozen, Ace Ventura, and more. We talk if John Wick 4 and Matrix 4 can actually launch the same day as planned of it's too much Keanu for everyone. We also talk some more about Bill And Ted probably because the answer is no. Disney continues to demand news coverage, so we pay their services by talking about how much money they've made in 2019, and how much impact the future of Disney+ has on movies. Plus the Star Wars script that went on eBay! And then decide 2020 is going to be a DC instead of Marvel year... but why? Ryan has a discussion about another Ryan for Bayhem reasons, and then we talk about how pointless Tarantino's decision just to make 10 movies actually is before making ourselves, but especially Rob, feel very old by talking about classic films and the US National Film Registry. We then tackle trailers, including Fantasy Island, which we somehow entirely forgot about last episode... then go across others including Marvel's Black Widow, new Bond in No Time To Die, Wonder Woman 1984, and Rob spends too much time being giddy over what we're now calling 'Paul Rudd's Ghostbusters' among others. Then we follow that up with a conversation about Christopher Nolan's next film Tenet - which then becomes a discussion about studios turning trailers into events of their own and how wrong we are celebrating the marketing of films almost more than the films themselves. Looking at you Fast and Furious franchise... Reviews see the guys talking a little about the crazy event that is the Auckland 24 Hour Movie Marathon. Ryan then discusses Last Christmas, Rob talks on Ford V. Ferarri (aka Le Mans '66), Knives Out, and Ready or Not before the two talk the pros and cons of Star Wars The Rise of Skywalker - spoiler free - less than a day after they saw it.  Due to lack of time in the episode, there is no 'Films... but Badly' this time around, but we are thinking about a 2019 review episode separate. A bumper eleventh episode hits the web, with so much to talk about, we don't even know where to start. To attempt to begin Rob updates everyone on his quest to find out what High Frame Rate he saw Gemini Man in. Then he and Ryan spend the better part of a half-hour talking about the Disney+ launch and all the problems people had. We dig into the expectations of it when it comes to both Star Wars and Marvel especially. Plus we get derailed several times on side topics including how parents should explain things to their children and not expect applications like Disney+ to do it for them, the expectations of having to watch several Disney+ shows just to follow more of the movies in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and look at the issues surrounding the "Disney Vault" idea. Once we move on beyond that and the comic book connections, we talk delays to The King's Man, more music biopics including Bee Gees and Michael Jackson, the new Ghostbusters rumoured title, then go down the rabbit hole of repeat updates - more Matrix news, and updates on Uncharted, Robocop Returns, Star Trek 4, and Mission Impossible 7/8 all feature again! We round out the news with a bunch of weird stories, including Dick Chaney calling Christian Bale an actual dick for his role in Vice portraying him, plus how Paul McCartney and Steven King felt about recent films releated to themselves also. We talk about how important platforms are like Netflix to long-delayed sequel success. Plus a look at several recent trailers including Keanu Sage filled Spongebob, redesigned Sonic, plus brief chats on Jumanji, Bad Boys, Pixar's Soul, Spies in Disguise, Invisible Man, Ip Man 4, and somehow a controversial discussion about the new Scooby Doo film - Scoob! Bring your Scooby Snacks, it's an interesting one! On the reviews side both of us discuss how good Terminator Dark Fate actually is even though no one went to see it. Ryan catches up on the insanity of Joker, and Rob touches on the shine of Doctor Sleep, the surprising depth of Jojo Rabbit and tale of The Dead Dont Die and its ghoouls. Ryan can't get over Grease being turned into a TV show and brings it up two episodes in a row, plus we look at all the trailers we can think of including The King's Man, Bloodshot, and the SNL Joker parody - Grouch. In the 9th episode of the show, Ryan and Robbie spend a length of time talking about the Disney Monopoly (but not the Disney Monopoly game... that would be weird) given their current run of 5 films that have made over a billion dollars this year. Plus the amount of ticket sales overall on the back of the Fox Purchase and their upcoming Disney Plus service. We also look into their annoucements at their D23 Fan Event and what Disney Plus means for everyone, plus the latest discussions surrounding their Star Wars and Marvel franchises. How much is too much Disney? In non Disney news the duo look at Sony and Warner Brothers comic book responses, including Venom 2, The Suicide Squad and Birds of Prey. They also talk about heaps of other news including additions to Mission Impossible franchise, Robocop, Uncharted, the name of Bond 25, the major annoumement of another Matrix Film, more on Chris Rock's SAW film, the idea of remaking Face/Off, sequels to Tomb Raider, Edgar Wright's next film Last Night In Soho, and the festival reactions to Joker, Knives Out, Jojo Rabbit, and trailers including Black Christmas, The Aeronauts, Terminator: Dark Fate, Doctor Sleep, Bad Boys for Life, and especially the Lucy and the Sky Trailer - and what NASA Grade Adult Diapers have to do with it. We also talk all the Marvel news that came out of their big Comic Con blow out and talk about how both Marvel and Disney are making all the monies. And Rob has a rant about Christopher Nolans marketing ideas to boot, specifically regarding his upcoming film Tenet.  After all this news you'd think we would have enough, instead the pair look at no less than 18 trailers that had dropped since the last recording... some massive, some small, all covered as fast as we could. Finally we have some reviews and discussion around Spider-man Far From Home, Toy Story 4, and the original Akira by both the guys. Rob also talks about Hobbs and Shaw and surprisingly The Lion King having ended up seeing it after months about bitching about the film and saying he wouldn't. As always the show wraps up with the sick and exhausted pair attempting Films... but badly (or anything else people would like to rename it to!). Please comment, like, subscribe, and share! Thank you once again to the wonderful Martin for his graphics work (www.rammy.at). * The writer Rob mentions that did the article on Mister Rogers was Tom Junod - who has some resemblence to Joaquin Phoenix. The film with Tom Hanks instead has a fictional writer in Junod's place even though the film is seemingly based on Junod's article and experience. https://www.imdb.com/name/nm1754526/mediaviewer/rm2908839936

In this special episode, entirely raw, unedited, and chock full of spoilers - Ryan and Rob pull apart the massive film that is Avengers: Endgame and talk about all that is good, bad, and ugly about the film from their memories. Instead of blowing out Episode 6, the guys have turned this into it's own episode and gives them time to break everything down. The two do this without notes and go off their memory of the run of the film, providing frank discussion about everything they can remember, what was great and what was controversial. They also look where we go from here into the future of the Marvel Cinematic franchise, including the trailer for the soon to be released Spider-man Far From Home film. Another massively packed episode as the guys look at lots of latest news as well as several other previews. Discussion includes the Fox-Disney merger (which is to now be dubbed as 'Foxney' maybe) and all the various parts that imply, discussion of that impact on the Marvel universe, a return of Blade, and the supposed fallout on the internet about Captain Marvel. Outside of that we talk about KFC's new robo-mascot, a planned Hulk Hogan biopic, the untimely demise of Luke Perry, and a round up of the latest trailers - including the potentially controversial Good Boys red band restricted trailer and the less controversial second Aladdin trailer. For the main discussion, Rob briefly discusses his attempts at watching Escape Room and then lengthy thoughts from both Ryan and Rob on the actual release of Captain Marvel. The good, the bad, and the mother-flerkens of it all. Following this being pestered for weeks Ryan finally sat down and watched The Iron Giant... does he think he shouldn't have, or should have seen it years ago? Our look back at other films covers briefly Ready Player One, which Ryan hadn't seen last year, alongside deciding how well The Breakfast Club has aged and if Bill and Ted are still excellent or bogus.
